The food quality is excellent and the curries are far from bland! Loads of flavour which you'd expect from indian food. We had a couple issues, firstly issue was that we ordered a bhuna and a rogan josh which are tame heat wise ( also had to young children eating with us you see ) and both curries were red hot! I usually get madras as my cba with any too hot curry but even i was feeling the burn. Id say if you don't like much heat make sure you let them know to make them mild. Second issue was one of the curry tubs was split at the bottom so it spilled out a little in the bad but that would of been doen to the uber driver. All in all the food is absolutely spot on, meat juicy and tender, sauces full of flavour etc. Food arrived pretty fast for a curry house and well within the stated time. Prices fair and portion sizes generous. Id just say to err on the side of caution if you don't like your curry too spicy. Will I order from here again? 100% yes

I’ve been coming here since 2015!!! And I’ve always ordered a WRAP MEAL or a wrap on its own. I don’t mind paying more money for a good kabab… Leyland lad knows lol I’ve thought I’d ordered one again as I’ve not ordered one in along time. Musta admit the guy at the front counter made my chicken tikis wrap with cabbage, lettuce, onion, mango, mint, garlic, coriander was AMAZING !!!! the delivery driver one of the original was very helpful and a very nice friendly delivery driver. 10/10 cya soon!

Very tasty, delivered in good time. (Don’t judge the naan, that was mine). Really good sized onion bhajis. Hope to eat at the restaurant some time, but definitely good to have an Indian that delivers with plenty of non-meat options! Will order from again.

Great team working hard to deliver best food at such good prices . The lady went out of her way to provide impeccable service in quick time and also gave us free rice and pappadums because she thought we have less bread with the mains . Please flock if you want authentic Indian food for the soul . Great management too , hope they achieve their business goals .

**update** They never got back to me after 4 months. But I accidentally ordered again thinking they were someone else. Ordered pasanda anc chips. Got tikka and rice. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Absolute fraud - they go by several names to keep good ratings. They list items in combos that they never send. The kids meal lists a curry, tikka, toy, rice/chips, and a drink. You only get a curry, rice/chips and a drink. The meat platter lists samosas. You get one small one. Food is soggy, cold and lacks the essential parts you pay more for (IE chicken, lamb, paneer, etc). Won't buy from there again.

Absolutely terrible service- I live under a mile away and my delivery took 1 hour and 30 minutes. I called the restaurant multiple times with no telephone answer or online answer. I was completely unable to track my order during the waiting time. Eventually my telephone call was answered and I was told~ “my order had left and was on the way with the driver”. The order arrived 40 minutes after this fact- clearly showing that was a lie. Very disappointing, why not just be honest with the updates? Won’t be ordering again.

Our go to place when we want some good Indian food, delivery drivers always seem very friendly too. Highly recommend as everything we've had is very authentic and very good.

I had to wait a long time for the delivery-over 1 & 1/2 hrs. The Paneer and mushroom makhani had good flavour but the mushrooms was sparse (only 4 ) the chips were under cooked also the naan was soggy on one edge. Slightly disappointing!

If I could award no stars, I would do! First and last time we EVER order from this awful takeaway. Super slow delivery. Unsmiling and very unfriendly delivery driver. Food arrived cold and items were missing - no naan bread or poppadoms! We contacted the restaurant but received no response. Finally our pudding of gulabjamun was pitiful - two marble sized, syrup soaked balls .... For £3! Shockingly bad ☹️

Good food but always takes over an hour and a half even though it always says 45 mins. Last night was particularly long was over an hour and a half. Food is good here but I won't rush back it's a nightmare. Its certainly not cheap either.

We order quite regularly, about once a week and recently usually the same dishes after trying a few over the last couple of years. The quality I think is very good, it seems freshly cooked and the mango salad and the vegetable Bahjis are very good. The only reason I have given them three stars is the complete lack of consistency of the spice heat. One week the dish can be mild and the next week the very same dish can be as firey as a vindaloo. It’s really annoying and stops us recommending dishes to friends

2nd order delivered,such a lovely man. Yet this time the food was off in the sense it was cold and tasted stale,so I take back my 5 stars! The chicken tikka masala was still delicious, just cold. I highly recommend them! Wow it was absolutely delicious! Now my new favourite take away! Everything was just how I like my Indian! Not so spicy that I can't eat it, like at East z East for instance. I ordered onion bahjies,keema naan bread,poppadoms with onion and mango chutneys and a child's portion of chicken tikka masala with boiled rice(I can't manage an adult size). I also ordered the chocolate fudge cake. I don't like this cake a lot usually but this particular one is divine. All this and service with a lovely friendly smile!

Too quality Indian food Best around.

Ordered via just eat today (16th October) and majority had to go in the bin due to the amount of salt in it !!!!!! That is all we could taste in both our curries !!!!!

Ordered takeaway from here, despite no longer living in the area. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. There are not many takeaways that have such a great selection of food for vegetarians.

Totally impressed! Everything I ordered turned up really hot, presentation was on point, the food was really really nice! I honestly don't think I'd go anywhere else but here from now on!... Buhna was Spicer than it would normally be from other Indians that I have, but for me that's a bonus!!! Definitely recommend

We have ordered from Mumbai Masala before and have been more than happy with the service. However, tonight has been a different story. We ordered our food at 18:20, and the driver arrived at around 19:35. I could accept a longer delivery time, with it being a Saturday night. To our disappointment, two of the ordered curries were missing when we dished the food out. When I rang to inform the takeaway, the lady on the phone was apologetic and informed us the next driver would bring the missing food. The two missing curries arrived at 20:15, after everyone else had eaten. At no point were we offered a discount for the mishap or any extras as way of apology. The food quality was mainly good, although not very hot. Unfortunately, we will not look to order from here again.

Fabulous authentic curry !!! Little mix up with delivery 2 night but rectified straight away and such a lovely delivery driver best curry Preston Leyland chorley I make curry's from scratch and we are always disappointed when I order from local curry houses..but they won't disappoint amazing amazing love there curry's and the meat mix starter I would recommend 😀 10/10

Ordered Aloo Ghosht Tikka with Mushroom Rice plus Lamb Madras with Onion Rice plus some accompaniments. The lamb in the first dish was slightly tuch but otherwe everything was perfect and we got a couple of poppadums on the house.

This used to be our go to takeaway. Food was delicious and always piping hot. It was a bit more expensive than some but for quality you pay more. Then everything started turning red. Anything was bright red..even dishes you'd think shouldn't be red were. Then they made the biggest mistake possible. Despite being told categorically NOT to include any coriander in my dish they not only ignored it but seemed to put more in than usual. It's not a medical thing (fortunately) I just hate coriander and it ruins any dish it is in or on. If they can't follow simple instructions then why bother having a comments section when you order? Completely pointless. I need my Saturday night takeaway treat to be an enjoyable experience so having coriander in my dish ruins it. Yes, it's a really petty thing to rant about but for me it's important. We are now on the hunt for a new takeaway that has different colour food AND can follow the most basic instructions.

Thank you Mumbai Masala. Thank you for ruining my Saturday night takeaway. You had specific instructions not to put any coriander in my dish but you ignored my request. It might be a small thing but for people who hate coriander in a dish like me, having it in ruins the entire meal. I wouldn't mind but I specifically asked for it not to be included. And don't tell me its because it's already in the base sauce because the two other dishes we had with sauce did not have a scrap of coriander in. You also managed to very kindly include a large chunk of bone in the tikka massalla. Our last takeaway from you before this wasn't great either so you've lost yourself a customer tonight which is a shame because your food used to be nice.

We have previously enjoyed the food from here, however this occasion was very different and I doubt we’d order from here again. Both curries were practically neon with red food colouring, ok it doesn’t effect the taste but not very authentic. The jalfrezi was fine, but the naga was so salty and had hardly any meat just lots of bright red salty sauce. The popadoms were burnt! I’ve never seen that before but they were like eating dust. Such a shame. The bhajis were very nice and not greasy.

Yet again Mumbai Masala Leyland has created another fantastic meal. Easy ordering, fast delivery, lovely delivery man, received some free poppadoms which was a nice surprise and on the bag too were some very nice sented hand wipes.

One of the best Indian food places around, this is the only place we go however there is room for improvement to improve the customer journey. We are outside of the free delivery radius and don’t mind paying the charge but they make it sound like I don’t pay, I’ve even suggested to add the additional £2 to the order so I’m not carrying cash around. Little things like this will put me off from ordering there again and go elsewhere

Always had amazing curries from here. Ordered a Chettinadh, as the last time I ordered it, it was delicious. This time it jus tasted like water, and had the consistency of water. It must of been like that when the chef tipped it in to the container. You should of started again, instead of serving it . It truly was awful and bland. Expected better from here.

Absolutely awful. I drove from Preston to Leyland to try this because the pictures seemed attractive. And also because their associated shop 6urgers make some very nice burgers, so I thought they’d be good too. May be it’s not made for a Pakistani palate so I’d advice hardcore Pakistani eaters to stay away. Everything was coloured red. The qeema cheese naan barely hd any qeema or cheese and tasted just like a normal naan. I’m not sure what a qeema naan actually is. Only the meat samosas tasted okay, and I’m pretty sure they use them ready made. Only giving the two stars because may be Indian people may feel the food is better. I’d never be visiting them again though.

Ordered earlier tonight after looking at a few places. Really authentic, tasty, a lot of meat in curries, not too expensive. Had the Mughlai Korma and Chicken Chat Puri 👌 Will absolutely be the Indian of choice from now. Nice people too!

Just had our 1st takeaway curry in ages. The delivery was bang on time. We ordered poppadums and chutneys, mixed tikka samber, mixed tikka Rogan Josh, keema naan, garlic nann and 1 pillau rice. If I had to make 1 very small criticism, the rice wasn't very warm but everything else was piping hot and plentiful.

Ordered myself a small NYD meal. The polite delivery driver was at the house bang on 6.30pm. Food was hot, very tasty and there was plenty. I recommend this take away for a lovely treat.

What incredible Indian food! We wanted to try a new Indian that was closer and I can certainly say we are going to be regulars here. We ordered chicken tikka masala and coconut rice and it was heavenly! Very quick delivery and hot when arrived. Highly recommend!

Without doubt one of the best curry houses. Although, I ordered from the Preston branch and I'm sure it's just as good with the same consistency of taste. I've ordered here twice now and the curry (including the chips, naan and popadoms) are fresh and full of flavour. To add, the staff are very friendly and understanding and cater to your taste buds in terms of the curries. Definitely my number one new takeaway for an Indian and highly recommend if not already tried!

Called to ask about vegan dishes and they were really clear about what I could eat, even writing vegan dairy free on the boxes so I definitely had peace of mind! Appreciated that detail, and the Dall and Palak was so incredibly delicious paired with coconut rice! Ordering again tonight!

Ordered tonight for our wedding anniversary. Food arrived within the hour delivered by the charming Mr Singh. The food was amazing, very reasonably priced and good portion sizes. The best Indian I've had in a long time. I'll be back again and again. Thank you so much Mumbai Masala.

Just tried the Mish Mash, this was so much nicer than your traditional kebabs. Plenty of flavour and sauce, lovely quirky recipe. Sometimes find other take aways kebabs dry, you wont find this here. Thankyou we will definitely be ordering again.

My husband has a nut allergy and this is the only place where he can have traditional Indian food! They always make the food from scratch just for him. The food is delicious! Definitely try the hunters platter and garlic naan bread! The dessert (gulab jamun) was also delicious! It’s nice to have a quality Indian restaurant in Leyland!

I have had meals delivered on several occasions and up to now they have been excellent. However, last night things went sadly awry. I had chicken tikka jalfrezi as usual and a garlic naan. The jalfrezi sauce seemed to be over reduced and was very thick and "gloppy" with a slight acrid taste, not very pleasant. The naan was so small and thin it could be mistaken for a chapatti wit no discernible garlic flavour. My wife had a king prawn puri and onion bhajis. The puri had only two prawns on it and they were quite small, the sauce had chunks of raw tomato in it and was not very nice. As for the bhajis they were powdery and undercooked in the middle. What has gone wrong, did the chef take a night off?

6 months ago the food here was with out a doubt amazing could not fault it big portions really tasty food delivery was second to none how ever in the last 2 months it has gone to rats . The wraps once packed are now terrible really small portions even on a large chicken no where near as tasty as once was now tastes really really cheep and soggy food turns up cold .not had a right last 4 times of ordering they are quick to put it right but really how hard is it to check an order before it leaves the shop ? The mango chuckney has been watered down within an inch of its life just not what it once was , the delivery guys are great tho they are fast but that's the only good thing so sorry but will never order again

Wonderful takeaway enjoyed by myself, my partner and my 3 year old daughter! The lamb pasanda and onion bhajis were superb and everything was overall very tasty and fresh!

This is by far the best takeaway in Leyland. The curries are always so creamy and tasty! We tried it once just to try something different now I can’t help but keeping going back weekly. Always arrives on time and the delivery men have always been lovely.

Super tasty indian food. Easy to order online and very quick delivery even on the bank holiday when we ordered. Good size portions. Chips, whilst tasty, could have done with an extra 5 mins in the fryer though. Delivery was carried out during the social-distancing of 2020 (for any one reading this past September 2020!) delivered to doorstep, driver politely waited at his car whilst we collcted food.As other have mentioned, even the mild dishes are a bit spicy, but for some, not me, may have to ask to have them made very mild.Overall a very good experience, will most definately be using again.

This takeaway was recommended by a friend and came highly recommended, I wasn't disappointed. The order was taken immediately (no waiting for a call to be answered) and as the web site says it would be 20 mins if collecting. 20 minutes later in I go and the food is ready and packaged. I got it home and can't tell you how good it was from the crispy popadoms to the tadka daal. it was piping hot and very tasty. I chose the Aloo Ghosht Tikka which was very tasty but not as hot as I had expected, nevertheless very good. I also had meat samosas and keema rice. it was reasonably priced and not greasy which is my experience of some takeaways. I will certainly be returning sometime soon. The only fly in the ointment was the online ordering, which failed when I had uploaded my order but as I said the phone was answered straight away. Thanks

Bought 2 starters and 2 mains for a birthday celebration.Lashun mushrooms and Cajun masala chicken wings to start. Lovely mushrooms, thought the chicken could have been a bit tastier, though. Chicken Chettinad (medium, but actually it was a bit too hot for my wife) and chicken chili masala (medium dish but pretty hot - just how I like it!).Garlic Naan was good.The food was ordered on line, and was ready 5 minutes early when I arrived to collect it.Will be returning!!!!

We decided on a Mumbai Masala takeaway and ordered the same meal we enjoyed here just over 6 weeks ago. This was Chicken Tikka Saag Salam x 2, pillau rice x1 and 2 plain naan breads and a few pappadoms. The meals arrived within a 60 minute stated time frame delivered by a friendly driver that had visited before. The meals needed zapping up in the microwave for a minute as they had cooled in transit but that's to be expected. On opening the curries in their plastic containers I noticed that they appeared very very runny and the spinach was slopping about with the chicken and the sauce very thin. On tasting it has to be said that the curry was very bland and seemed to lack adequate spices too. This was Not good. The Naans and the pappadoms were up to scratch as last time but I would have liked to have given full marks for the two meals but for the above reasons they were really well below parr on this occasion. Whether the Mumbai Masala have a new chef I don't know, but this meal was a big disappointment to us particularly as it had been so good and tasty on a previous occasion. Price was around £10 + a head - certainly not worth the money this time sadly. They obviously have a problem with consistency in my opinion.

We decided to try this Indian takeaway again and ordered by phone 2 x Chicken Saag Salam curries, 1 x pillau rice and 4 pappadoms and 2 x plain Naan breads and onions for delivery to our home. Total cost £18.95 which included a small delivery charge. Time frame was stated as 45 mins and the meals were delivered well within that time by a smartly dressed, friendly delivery driver - and both meals were piping hot as well. The Chicken curries which are basically chicken chunks in a delicious tasty but not too spicy or hot sauce,that includes delicious spinach as well. This is a really nice dish which we can thoroughly recommend to other Trip Advisor clients. It works well with the pillau rice. The Naan breads were fresh and fluffy and the pappadoms were beautifully crispy too. Onions supplied were a red colour which we haven't come across before; but tasty all the same. The Mumbai Masala have a comprehensive menu that will appeal to the most discerning tastes. We will certainly use them again.
