Very disappointed to receive our lunch-beans on toast and jacket potato in boxes with poor quality disposable cutlery today. No one said our lunch would be served in this way and because if this the portion size was reduced from what is usually served.(ie. one round of toast not the usual 2) Coffee to was in Paper cups too-not what you’d expect from m&s! Shan’t be visiting again in the near future-there loss.

This place is not suitable for children. We ordered our food for children and they told us it will take 20 mins. However, after wating 45 mins no sign of any food and children starving. On the other side the restaurant is empty. What a joke

Nice carrot cake (i always seem to pick it on visits here). Coffee OK. Service a bit slow, However tables seemed to be being cleared quickly. Nice to be able to sit in the window and watch comings and goings on the High Street below.

Staff were friendly however, when ordering came it was the wrong order, they then charged us for food we didn't even order, the place is way too expensive for the standards of the food and the table was not clean, there was a hair in my food I am not a happy bunny.

In the last few months for us things have been much better. We’ve been trying the breakfast menus recently which are very good. Well priced compared to the others

Called in for lunch and it was very busy. Took ages to order as not many staff working. Food came out quicker than the time it took so get served so that was a bit better. The jacket potato's were luke warm the butter did not even melt. The man who brought the food seemed to be rushing around like whirlwind. He brought me a knife and spoon to eat my food. So I had to call him back. Also I asked for salt and vinegar and was about to ask him for pepper and mayo but he had gone. So when he came back I requested them and also they were three of us and he brought two tiny sachets of salt two pepper one mayo and one vinegar. We had a meal with chips and needed more vinegar but he seemed to be getting narky so I dident bother to ask for any more. Mind you he seemed to be the only one taking food out. So overall not amazing for the price we paid. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Time and time again I write the same stuff. A twenty minute wait for food when you’ve got loads of staff on just isn’t acceptable. One member of staff cooking and taking the food out isn’t fair. Another member of staff was on their mobile phone right in view of the customers. Forget your phone focus on your customers.

As someone with coeliac disease it was astonishing that a cafe in a shop that sells some of the best gluten free food available doesn't have any of it in the cafe.

The food selection has improved since our previous visit which is something I’d wanted for a long time. Staff still take ages to do things. You’d expect more from a high end chain ?

We popped in for lunch after some Christmas shopping in the store .We had Turkey Feast sandwich & Festive toastie. Both were delicious and the flat whites good too, Would have been an excellent rating today except we had quite a wait for the toastie to be brought to the table

Why oh why does a cafe in a shop that sells some of the best gluten free products I’ve found for my coeliac disease diet have no gluten-free bread, rolls or cake? Nowadays even an average cafe can provide a reasonable choice. Unbelievable. Definitely won’t be going there again.

We always go to M & S for lunch when we go shopping to Worcester because the food is nice and it's reasonably priced. We like sitting by the window overlooking the high street and it has quite a relaxing atmosphere. However on our latest visit we were very disappointed to be told after asking a member of staff that there was no salt in the restaurant which I know only sounds like a small thing, but I really enjoy salt on my food and think this is such a basic essential in a restaurant that it's hard to believe there wasn't any available at all. Apart from that one experience I would recommend but I really hope they sort this problem out and it's a one off or I won't be visiting again.

It wasn’t that busy however they took a very long time to do our order. There was an older member of staff who kept shouting at his colleagues. When your front of house where customers can hear you keep your mouth under control

Service was not too bad. However difficulty finding a table that had been cleaned. Eventually had to move used crockery to an adjacent table. The cake we had was tasty. Coffees OK. Is very noisy and canteen like. Will in future look for somewhere with more atmosphere.

I’ve mentioned all the improvements that are needed in my previous reviews. Others have done the same. No responses to anything. Staff lazy, cakes left at room temperature in this heat, no healthy sandwiches. I’d like to see more plant based items on sale

The food is still the same old stuff on display. Besides fruit there is not much variety of healthy items for those who only want a snack. I was told a while ago they have no intention of putting the vegan items on sale in the cafes. Get with the times will you. We pay your staffs wages. They all stand around doing nothing

When your busy you need staff with more urgency. They where all going at a snails pace. Tables that needed clearing. Also people complaining about their drinks. I’m these hard times they should go the extra mile for the customers. Especially when it’s meant to be an upmarket company

Got a quiet day so service was quite quick. We had carrot cake which was tasty. Coffee served in a small mug/cup with no saucer. Seating very works canteen like and acoustics are bad, it is very noisy. As cake was nice price was OK but coffees overpriced for the size of cup.

Visited yesterday, no drinks menu or prices, can you please reinstate these (have the prices gone up?) Also coffee now served in small mugs, nowhere to put your spoon.

Why have they taken the above off the menu and replaced in with half the size brown sourdough which is absolutely horrid! Don’t force healthy food on people. It’s toast for goodness sake not cake. Apparently there have been lots of complaints. Not everyone likes brown toast.

This place should give top quality food and service for the brand name they represent and the prices we all pay. However sometimes they just don’t hit the mark whether if it’s the food or service. On a previous visit I saw scones under one of the domes. Clearly they where still hot due to the condensation build up under the dome. I would like to see different sandwiches especially plant based in your cafes

The lady who was serving was in a daze. She didn’t understand the customers orders/requests. She was getting huffy. I asked her have you taken my free drink off the total. She looked at me as if I was stupid. I’ve worked in the industry for twenty three years. I’ve learned in that time how to speak to customers. They where taking ages with the drinks

The staff where taking ages to serve the customers. Dirty tables left for an hour so nobody could sit down. The floor was filthy so was a trip hazard for people carrying the trays. The counter fridge was all basically the same stuff as normal....

We visit all the time and always have great service , the place is clean and welcoming , we looked at some of the bad reviews and see they are from serial complainers which is a shame because then you dont get a balances view on what a place is truely like , but as I said we all use this cafe all the time , the queue is long at times but that is because its so popular , if you dont like the queue dont get in it ,!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know what else to say now on what improvements are needed. This company has a very poor recruitment process. That proves in the sloppy attitude the staff have towards their work and reflects on the speed of delivery.

I have been in here before and the lady who served us on Thursday was very friendly and helpful. My friend and I were in for coffee and a catch up and we were sat at our table a very long time, it's a wonder they didn't charge us rent! It's a nice bright clean cafe, the coffee was good and being served by a smiling friendly face, just what we needed.

Your advertising all the veggie/vegan food on the TVs and in the food halls. Why not put those foods in the cafes to encourage sales ?

Visited this week and very disappointed with the service. Lunch time when you expect to be busy. One person on the cafe till with two people making tea and coffee ( but appeared to spend more time laughing and joking rather than their job) I counted a queue of at least 20 customers. My wife meanwhile was sitting waiting near a group of six yes six managers who were oblivious as to what was happening around them. Two staff clearing tables next to her were chatting when someone from behind the service counter asked one of them to come and work another till. This was unbeknown to me but a person arrived to operate the other till. She asked me what drinks I wanted, I said I didn't want any drinks just to order food and that I had been waiting 17 minutes. She took the food order , I offered her cash to hear someone else say " oh that till doesn't take cash you will have to use a card" . What a fiasco. So I then had to go to the next till and start all over again. Once paid and I sat down the same six managers were still there at their meeting. Their leader was a tall male in a light grey suit who appeared to be calling the shots. I suggest he needs retraining as well as his staff. M and S you really do need to get your act together.

Called here with several family members for a quick morning brunch. I had sausage toastie and a flat white. The others had teacake, biscuits, cappuccino,babyccino and tea etc. Not too busy but takes a while.as ever, from selection of food at counter to paying However food came out very quickly and customer service was particularly good this morning. Service is always slow and tables are left uncleared for far too long. When they have what you want the food is usually ok, but today they were unable to serve three of the things we asked for. Totally crazy when they have a food hall in the same building. Always say I won’t go back...need to stick to my guns.

My fiancée asked for a soya drink as she’s lactose intolerant. The staff never listened to her request and as a result suffered afterwards.

Popped in for quick lunch, wasn't too busy. Food ordered and went to get cutlery as they had just put a whole load of clean ones out, or so we thought! It appears the dishwasher they use needs looking at, all the cutlery and the cup that came with the tea were far from clean but it appears nobody bothers to check. Food was good but you expect somewhere like this to be cleaner, both the cutlery and also the tables / floor. Not going to rush back as other options out there.

Very busy at lunchtime on a weekday, but managed to find a table. Medium coffee was very big, and coffee was good. Despite being busy, didn't wait too long for them to bring food. A bit confusing with what to do with plates, etc. when finished. Some being cleaned up by staff, some customers taking their own somewhere, but didn't see any clear signage of where to take them. Overall, not bad for a cafe inside M&S;.

As shopping in store stopped by for a coffee and sandwich. Tasty sandwiches and good coffee. Service was quick but a quiet day.

I came here late afternoon with friends for tea and cake, to be quite honest I wanted to go somewhere else but the restaurant was very pleasant, light and airy with good views of the High Street, the tea was pleasant but the Victoria Sponge was very nice indeed. I'd certainly go here again.

We called here late morning on a Thursday. We both had cafe sandwich selection pack(360 calories!) and 2 flat whites. All very tasty with flat whites served nice and hot .

Go quite a bit cus its handy when shopping.The coffee i find a bit bitter but enjoy the cake and sandwiches.Nice to sit and read the papers on offer and always a few regulars in there gassing about whats occuring in the city.

We often have breakfast on a Saturday morning which is good value although often there is a queue so you have to wait. Having said that, the staff are efficient and pleasant. Kelly in particular knows what we have regularly and remembers our order, and is always chatty and offers great customer service - lovely lady! Good breakfast too!

There is nothing about this cafe that appeals to me. I realised this after my first visit. However, I was with a friend who tires easily and she needed a sit down and a cup of tea and this was a convenient place to take a break.

I only wanted to visit the top floor. I chose the lift on this occasion and both of them going up and down had a mind of their own.

Called here with 3 family members on the penultimate Thursday in July. I had a cumberland sausage toastie and a flat white and the 2 adults had minestrone soup with bread rolls. Really tasty food and one of the best flat whites I have had at an M & S Café. Service very friendly and attentive too.

Only place open for breakfast in the High Street. We didn't realise that the place down the road where we had a great breakfast didn't open until 10:00am and we were on a tight schedule. Average in every way. Average food, average prices average service, average coffee. If you like average then this is the place for you. If you want a good breakfast in Worcester, wait until somewhere good opens!

Called her for lunch on a Saturday. The cafe was busy but we managed to find two tables together. Pleasant staff and food arrived reasonably quickly. The jacket potatoes with chilli and salad were a good portion and the chilli was very tasty. Excellent value at £4.75 each. Lunch for two with tea £13.40. Recommended and will be returning.

M&S; coffee is lovely and the staff are great and don't hang around. A great place for a quick pit stop

We seldom go wrong with Marks and Spencer's for lunch. The café here is nicely laid out in a spaced and orderly way. The young lady who serves us our soups spontaneously offers us glasses of water. Our meals are quickly brought to the table. Our meal is tasty and satisfying. Well done M&S;!

We were new to Worcester and not sure of its lie out but a member of staff that happened to be using the lift was extremelly helpful.

A very busy noisy café. seating is very cramped and the noise is at a high level. OK for a quick cuppa but exactly a place to recharge your batteries whilst out shopping.

A big company like this should get their lifts fixed. Sometimes in the food hall it's half empty and we've had to substitute our ingredients. The home section is lovely except it could do with a dust as I've seen several times signs of neglect.

We arrived for lunch on a very cold Sunday and managed to find the cafe in Mark's and Spencer's. It is a little hidden on the second floor so could do perhaps with more clear signage.

Clean, tidy cafe upstairs in M&S; Worcester. Friendly service, spacious, with lots of tables for two. Have not tried meals or savoury snacks, but a nice place to sit and have a drink and snack.

Three of our family had lunch here on second Friday in December. We had 2 turkey feast sandwiches, a taste of Christmas sandwich a cappuccino & 2 flat whites. Really tasty and the flat whites were 5 star today! The only thing that stops me giving an excellent rating is the cafeteria atmosphere here- I prefer seating design and layout it as it was a few years ago!!

Great café, with window seats that offer a clear view of the High Street below. I can recommend the Chicken & Stuffing Pie with mash and gravy. Delicious! Very good service: friendly, courteous and efficient. Decent value and a pleasant place to rest up, whilst on a shopping trip. Puts you in the right mood for a trip down to the food hall, too.

Good quality food and coffee at a reasonable price but service is so inefficient. I waited in a queue for 10 minutes. The queue didn't seem to move. I had to leave.

Can I say how disgusted my husband & I were at the state of the toilets both ladies & gentlemen. In fact all the the soap dispensers were broken in the men's & the ladies we're filthy.

I like the cafe it's self when we came in the tables was dirty it was not that busy in the cafe when I went to pay for what I had the lady behind the counter didn't see that I had to cakes on the tray so I had to pay twice

We came in for a coffee and a small cake each. There was dirty trays on the tray side by the counter, there was dirt and rubbish on the floor and on the seats. The tables weren't getting cleared. The staff behind the counter look bored. No urgency to perform a great customer service.

We just needed a cup of tea before setting off home. It was very smart, and clean, and the cup of tea and currant bun were delicious.

Popped in here for what I thought would be a nice cup of tea but was in fact awful , tables needed clearing and a wipe down wouldn't have gone a miss,it was very busy , not the usual high standards you would expect

A very busy cafe/restaurant with a poor seating layout, far too cramped when busy and invasive; also the poor seating arrangement makes it difficult to navigate if disabled. Once the order was taken we had to wait far too long for food to be served and when it was the order was incomplete. I did not want to wait any longer therefore was refunded for the missing items.

The staff at this cafe seem much better than we've experienced before at other cafes in this brand. The food is good quality and the drinks are good

Marks & Spencer café's seem to be the same where ever you go in the country. You know what to expect. All seem a little slow, even when there are a lot of staff on and not many customers.

Called here for a quick breakfast snack with family member .I had a sausage toastie a flat white & the others a croissant ,a flat white and a cappuccino. Food okay but not as good as previous sausage toasties and the flat white distinctly average!

We often call in here first thing on Saturday morning for 'second' breakfast and at that time it is not too busy. It soon fills up though, by 9.30 can struggle for a table. The food quality is good, they alway give us extra milk for our tea and the staff are pleasant. There is little personal interaction, the likes of which you would get in a non-chain cafe/restaurant. When things get busy then things tend to lose control and tables are left uncleared. The whole experience is okay but it doesn't wow!

Much like any other MS café, looks like a few chairs thrown in, and hey presto a restaurant. Typical food but lacks character. Plenty of better places in town, Beware Worcester has a sea gull problem and dress accordingly.

always a long queue in M&S; - need to address this. Cakes always great. I love the coronation chicken sandwichs, but they are usually out of stock, which is a great shame. always clean cafe and tables. Great for coffee and cake and chat.
