M&S Cafe in Canterbury

Of late you can no longer get a takeaway coffee in before work, (unless work is next door), as in their wisdom coffee is now only available from 0830, now too tight a window for some of us in Canterbury to get a decent one before we start at 9.

Ran out of avocado. They sell it next to the cafe in store. Why can't someone bring one over. Why run out of avocado pre lunch so no poached egg on sourdough. Asked replace with salmon charged me extra.

Had a vist to m&s cafe today , the service was very slow , only one guy doing teas & coffees , one poor lady running good around!, she looked out of breath. Cracked teapot lid needs to sort out staffing at bust lunch times ...

The staff did try and worked hard , but getting to the point of service took a bit of time. Likewise the number of tables awaiting clearing and cleaning seemed to pile up and customers were playing with plates to find a table. Once served quality was fine, though the menu did seem a tad limited

Poor visit experience. Fridges bare, approx. 18 min wait in Q, order messed up ( staff took away table number before order complete. ) One wrong item had to be changed. Staff didn't even know who had placed the order, and it appeared they were disorganized and under too much pressure.

Always most polite and the staff always cleaning tables and willing to help as both my daughter & myself are on walkingaids

Can always guarantee quality great food from MNS. There food in-store and from restaurant is always a winner for all the family.

Popped in while shopping. Nice little cafe with very nice staff. The food is good and most of it seems to be on the snacks side. There is a variety of simple sandwiches and cakes, with a small selection of lunch food.

When shopping in Marks and Spencer’s food hall the food is of amazing quality and have no complaints. The Café is a very different story all together unfortunately. My parents and I visited the café with my 2 young daughters. The selection is not great to begin with and what we got in terms of hot food all seemed pre-packaged and probably microwaved. Not quite the sort of quality one would expect from M&S at all. My food arrived once everyone else had finished, we were refunded for everything in the end for the inconvenience (we didn’t complain - so at least the customer service is of a decent standard). I doubt I’ll go back for the food, but the coffees were very nice indeed (as were the staff)

Food is lovely but the service is very slow on all the Marks cafes i visit lots a d they are all the same spoils them when you are on a lunch break

Make sure you have a week to spare if your ordering hot food.... takes a long while.... the line moves slowly as well as the food serving beog slow. Loads of staff bit moving slowly.

We used to visit more and do not have the time to go now unfortunately.The coffee (latte)is lovely and if you team it with their lemon drizzle cake then your treat is perfect.The food choice is limited but you can always find something to enjoy! The staff are all so nice and friendly which makes the experience complete.

This is a lovely clean and fast service cafe. Staff are friendly and helpful. We didn't have a meal but they looked appetising . We had coffee and cakes. The cake is quite dear but you get more than a piece. More like a huge chunk. If we had realised we would have shared one piece. Beautiful cakes and quite sickly. Lovely. Coffee really nice and a £1 cheaper than its nearest neighbour. Would recommend .

This is always a pleasure to visit, staff are friendly and helpful with a good selection and so much easier than the main Canterbury M & S . They do a great cappuccino with a proper head on it!

This nice bright cafe situated in the food hall has a nice arrangement of seating and friendly service but unfortunately the flat white coffees we were served were barely warm

Very nice clean cafe within the marks N sparks shop in the retail park at broad oak . Handy if you are having your car service

The M&S Café is located within the Foodhall, separated by high screening. The café décor is pleasant, with particularly nice and colourful large-size mugs for tea and coffee. There are both padded benches along the wall and regular chairs around tables that can accommodate groups of 2 or 4. During my visit, there were families with babies, adult couples, elderly ladies having tea, and a number of gym goers from the gym next door who were enjoying snacks post-workout. The food choice includes fruit such as apples and bananas, which provides a health-conscious alternative to the yummy pastries, sandwiches, and mini pizzas that can be heated on request.While the view is of the car park and some noise can be heard from the Foodhall despite the screening, it is a pleasant place to meet with a friend, or take a break with the reliable quality of M&S food. The service is also very pleasant and friendly, and I particularly liked the recycling area near the trolleys for trays, so waste can immediately be sorted by customers.
