M&S in Brighton and Hove

Visited for breakfast The scrambled eggs were well overcooked Very rubbery I wouldn't recommend Was given coffee in a paper cut as they said they had run out of cups I mean really Come on guy's it's not hard to make sure there's enough cups and saucers. Coffee was ok but lacking the little short bread you used to get with it. Complimentary

We were regular visitors to the cafeteria prior Covid. We returned today with no worries that M&S have got this, had complete confidence M&S Management at this location have put everything in place to protect its customer. But I was wrong. I picked up a toasties which need to be put in grill/oven. So the member of staff ( the older lady on that morning)picked it up from the tray and with her bear hand , wearing NO GLOVES , unwrapped it and placed it in the oven. This is absolutely disgusting. But that’s not all, by the till in front of the customer you can find the whole display of serviettes ,sugars and else, this is an area where customer wait with their tray for their drink and the lady in front of me had a long chat with the staff , plenty of saliva droplets must have made it through her mask and landed on the serviette display, also the sugar display for all the customers hand to touch is highly unhygienic. I have visited Coffee shop who haven’t got a prestigious name like M&S but somewhat have worked out that leaving serviettes and sugar out for customer to help themselves is a source of contamination. What a disgrace for staff not to wear gloves while handling food I have seen a member of staff wearing a jacket uniform with written on the back “hygiene team” what a joke !

Popped into m& s cafe today in Carden ave . I must say it's the worst M&S cafe I have been to. My daughter in law was treating me to lunch and coffee , we had jacket potato and latte coffee. The jacket potatoes were dry pre cooked and mine was so hard I couldn't cut it . I told the staff and she gave me a refund for the potato and apologized. The baby high chair had to be wiped down by my daughter in law as it was so grubby and there where food stains on the wall . So come on M& S cafe get your act together , shame as the shop is good and I do shopping regular .

Popped in to pick up dinner. Great choice as usual in M&S and all very well presented. Good value and plenty of parking.

Wish this shop was bigger. Good selection of food but sometimes dates on food very short period of time compared to other shops in this company. Terrible rewards card system.

It is a 1 minute drive off the A27, easy to find with a large carpark. We stopped for a coffee, sausage balm cake and to stretch our legs after driving from Torquay. Staff were a little slow in serving customers before me. Food was semi warm despite being heated in a microwave oven. The coffee and an orange juice were good and everywhere was clean and tidy including the toilet facilities. Within 20 minutes we were back on the road, suitably refreshed.

Never again Costa all the way . May look nice but taste was water Sorry was carden avenue one we went too not shoreham. If wanted water I would off brought water
