Best goat curry in brighton. Seriously, don't believe the reviews, I've followed this guy from Preston circus to Edward street and now to here!

This is not authentic yard food. We ordered Mac and cheese which was not in the bag. The brown stew chicken was not edible.

Food was very dry and expensive. The curry mutton had no curry. It was very dry without sauce so the rice and peas I ordered in addition to the mutton was a waste. I ordered jerk chicken, curry mutton and rice and peas which I was charged £31 for. The rice and peas had no sauce for it and the mutton was too dry. Unfortunately I will not advise anyone to buy from this restaurant as it was a waste of money for me.

Coming from Barbados I'm used to the staple of smaller meat portions and larger carb portions, but I only got one tiny jerk chicken piece for £10?! I'm talking the size/weight of a small chicken wing, for £10... I ordered mac and cheese as a side which tasted fine, but the portion was also smaller than I would have hoped. Felt somewhat cheated, for £10 you would hope to get more than one tiny piece of meat, don't think ill be back.

Criminally underrated Caribbean food for a super adorable price. 5 pound burgers 3.50 wings and the flavour is still amazing. I got mac & cheese, oxtail and jollof rice for 11 pounds. DO NOT SLEEP

This was my first time eating here and I am beyond disappointed. I ordered the curry goat and rice&peas, when it came I noticed the curry goat was boney and the rice was hard. The food had a strange taste to it but I ignored it. I went home, went to sleep, then woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, my stomach really hurt and I started to projectile vomit and had a very runny stomach. Please do not waste your money here.

£15 for a small pot of oxtail! Comes with nothing no rice salad absolute daylight robbery £54 for two oxtail rubbish mac no cheese on top small portion plantain and some fried chicken all without any rice or salad actually taking the piss!!@

Great food but your letting your selves down with you opening times, your missing out on so many customers especially on the lunch run, and afternoons, disappointing really.

The food here is some of the best I’ve had in this city. Came later after a long day at work and it didn’t disappoint. Woman in there was super welcoming too and the jerk chicken was unbelievable. Would 100% reccomend this spot.

Came too late for the mutton but the ladies where more than happy to accommodate our hungry bellies and provided a mashup of what was left to serve and was worth the trip

I got the curried mutton. It was good but very dry, very dry, no sauce, just meat and rice. i would suggest at least giving your customers sauce so they'll come back.

Absolutely wonderful Caribbean authentic food. I had a selection of grilled chicken wings, curry goat and rice and peas. Delicious and just as my Jamaican family had it years ago. Prices are very reasonable, I found parking easy nearby. Perfect service and food.

This is proper authentic Caribbean food, delicious and full of flavour. The portions are generous and the prices are good. I had a mix of bbq wings, curry goat, rice and peas and plantain. As a Jamaican, I can say this is the real deal.

From a big fan to never will be going there again. Your food is going down hill, a few months ago when you were reopened, I was so excited and happy, when you initially opened a few years ago, your jerk chicken was amazing, grilled just right with perfect seasoning. then it became soggy and salty after you reopened from covid, but still it was still edible. Now it’s become tasteless, very dry, very burned, flavorless. I had thrown away half of the chicken from the other night as it was so burn! I did not enjoy any of the food bought. Even the rice and peas changed flavour. To me, the restaurant may have changed ownership, feels like you will open whenever you feel like to (very unprofessional) or simply lost the passion of cooking or even running the restaurant, sorry but I won’t be back

Fresh, delicious and authentic Jamaican spot with generous portions and great deals (for school kids too). Definitely my favourite and go to spot for Jamaican food in Brighton!

Absolutely banging takeaway — curry goat, ribs, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, fried plantains for a sensationally low price. It’s cooked perfectly and very authentic in flavour. Also, the counter lady was very nice and helpful. My Jamaican heritage partner and I will be back!

Best goat in town. Pork belly is top quality too. Shame they close too often, wish it was open more, the quality and quantity of the food is on point. It would be 5 stars if they weren't closed so often.

Been waiting to get eat here for a while and it lived up to the expectations !! Had the shrimp, curly fries and Mac and cheese and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. It had lots of flavour and it was at a great price, will definitely be coming back !!!

Tried it once was amazing ever since I've tried to order and ita always closed on deliveroo then i try just eat and they don't have the coco jumbo jerk chicken burger on their one

I'm sad to post this as had been dying to try a meal from there. Firstly the good. Mac cheese was not dry at all. Pasta cooked perfect and the cheese the right amount for blending tastes. The jerk rice was loved by all. The chicken thigh was great in flavour but not just enough as two thighs on the bone left my husband needing more. Maybe sell thighs separately? The bad , the fries totally underdone (ok no big deal for most. The ribs broke my heart after ready the whole story of 24 hours marinated and then slow cooked to fall off the bone???? Total opposite last night. Chewy and an effort to get off the bone. Which left.me.with chips and Mac cheese for my dinner. If you can't guarantee the ribs then what's the point? My son had the southern fried chicken and liked it. Said the bites were a little tough but the flavour was there and the sauce on it was very nice. Really unsure if we'd come back which brakes my heart.

Great success! For just under a tenner you can get arguably the best goat curry in town with a variety of options for 1 side included. I went with rice and peas. Flavour is not overpowering but a perfect hint of spice and it comes in greaseproof paper so easily transferable to plate. The bone-to-meat ratio is better than Ive ever seen before.

The food was good but the portions were small. 20.00 for 2 mains and 3 sides reads like it will feed 2 people but what I received was enough for 1.

We had the pork belly with chips. The seasoning was more than excellent on the pork belly. So succulent and crispy (even though was covered with delicious sauce). Just ordered tonight but will order again tomorrow. Going to dream about it 😍

Was walking past today. Cant wait for them to open! We need more good food in brighton!
