Busy, full of live with great service and food.

Lovely welcome, fast friendly service, and good, well priced food. One of our favourite Sunday brunch/Linner venues. 🙂

A nice place to go in an evening for a hot drink and cake/desert when most coffee shops are closed

Food choice was varied, food was good and despite ordering separately it arrived at the same time and was hot. Restaurant was busy and we were tucked at the rear, but no member of staff came and asked if all was ok with our food. At 21:10 we tried to order a coffee each but much to our surprise and disappointed we were told that as they would be closing on 30 minutes they were no longer serving hot drinks! It was a Tuesday evening but not what we had expected.

Such a grim experience cold beans served in cup out of a dolls house £18 for a tiny cold breakfast nice staff but not worth the cost

Second visit. Not as good as the first. Far busier and food quality seemed compromised as a result. Breakfast was lukewarm and poorly cooked (broken eggs, insipid sausages, raw tomatoes).. would recommend when not busy but avoid at popular times

Reheated fare that is ok but could be done better perhaps more staff would help!

Nice enough, fun decor, roomy, drinks menu bit limited to premixed menu items but decent wine.

This restaurant is part of a chain but each restaurant has a different name. Modelo is one of the better ones and the food is consistently good, something I can’t say of the branch in East Grinstead which is awful. The food in Modelo in Hove is excellent. Great value for money. Nice atmosphere. Easy option. The main recommendation for this restaurant is the service. I had a slight issue with my side dish and with no argument the manager offered me another side. This manager is often on duty when I’m there. He is a very friendly and efficient manager ( I’m assuming he is a manager) Just two things to say to the company… Get the East Grinstead branch sorted. It’s had so many chefs and the quality of food has deteriorated. I’ve stopped going there. Much happier when I’m visited the one in Hove. Secondly, get accurate on the menu. If the menu says rice, it should be rice. Not rice with horrible hard green beans in it. Fortunately the manager sorted it out for me. Well done Hove branch. You are doing an excellent job

Always great service from the staff, who are friendly and accommodating.

Such a great selection of food with a varied and full menu. Separate menu for vegans and gluten free. All four meals were delicious. We all had something different to drink eg homemade pink lemonade and coffee frappe. We thought food was reasonably priced. This venue can get very busy and you are unable to reserve a table. Highly recommend!

Sausage in a roll and pancakes 🥞 with blueberries 🫐 and cream 🍶really nice, and freshly squeeze glass of orange 🍊 juice 😋 and latte, when visit Hove again, would definitely go back 🤗

Always have a good time at Modelo. Lovely atmosphere, polite staff and good food. Menu is big and caters to everyone. Me and my families go to restaurant as we have never had a bad experience.

Quite close to George St, a friendly greeting, food and drink ok, did think it's a little dark and uninteresting, but worth a visit.

Had brunch here with cafe latte.Delicious.

Had a lovely brunch courtesy of my daughter. Had my favourite Smashed Avocado whilst my daughter had Big Lounge breakfast. Nice ambience and friendly and attentive service.

Came in for some lunch today but ended up leaving. Stood at the door waiting to be seated for around 5 minutes, watching staff including what looked to be the manger walk past multiple times and ignore us. Eventually a very unenthusiastic staff member came over and just pointed at a table and mutterd “you can sit there” at that point we turned around and left. Service needs to improve.

I like Modelo Lounge as it has an extensive menu. Especially good that you can order everything gluten free. This is great for anyone who needs that for health reasons. I always order the buttermilk chicken with chips and it's yum.

Popped in as i quite fancied a piece of the banoffi cheesecake, very expensive at a price of over £7.00 so i was expecting a rather large slice for that price, imagine my shock when i was given a very thin slice as pictured below

Busy little establishment. Nice looking food especially the bacon and sausage sandwiches.

Good food fry ups are always nice. Sometimes toadt/mushrooms abit cold but guess I can be difficult to keep it hot.

An excellent lovely place to eat

I have always liked this place and a good place to bring the kids. Friendly and helpful staff and enjoyable decor. Sadly we won't be going back, as the portion size for the price has really become ridiculous. So small. We thought it was an off day last time, so came again. We had to nip into the supermarket and cook another meal after. Sadly avoid.

Can get very noisy, acoustics mean the Sound bounces around. Great meeting place and food good. Easy access for wheelchair plus great loo

Have visited several times, mainly because of the way they cater for coeliacs. They take extra care to ensure that the gluten free food served isn't contaminated. Their understanding is brilliant. The food is excellent, especially brunches and the small plates. Lovely and cosy. Great vibe. The only one gripe is the fact that the door isn't self closing, so when we sat near it with friends a few weeks back one or other of us had to keep getting up to close it, which did actually become very annoying!

Came here on a lovely sunny day for a post- walk brunch. It was busy inside but the staff seated us right away and were very friendly and attentive throughout- even offering us another table as we were in direct sunlight by the window. We declined the offer as it was the first time we’d actually had any sun for such a long time! Had a flat white which was very well made and opted for the Miami brunch. It was everything I wanted it to be- the sweetcorn fritters were crispy and slightly sweet, paired amazingly with 2 perfectly poached eggs. The rest of the meal was a wonderful mix of creamy avocado and a zingy pico de gallo. Really well presented and very tasty. Will definitely pop in again when next in Hove.

Terrible portion size! Especially for the price! Ordered a vegan Buddha bowl.. the waitress came back with two bowls of bread and told me it was filling.. ah.. the bread would be but the sqwit of food in my bowl with actual nutrients wouldn’t! Absolutely ridiculous!! It’s not like the ingredients are expensive! Terrible! Been coming here for years, completely boycotting! Thanks for my bread with my side salad!!

Love this place. They really take good care for food allergies like coeliac and have a great vegan menu too. Katie served us today and just makes ordering with an allergy feel like no issues at all. A great service with a smile and the whole team are always good consistently x

Great staff who immediately offered vegan and gluten free menus as we arrived. Nice atmosphere and happy customers. Good for families. I went for brunch but now plan a return for the cocktails 🍸 👌.

Perfect for those of us with babies, toddlers & little 'uns in tow. This place totally gets that eating out & kids can be tricky. My 2.5 years old granddaughter loves Modelo; whereas it was my first visit. She was happy drawing, playing games whilst munching pancakes. That enabled the grown-ups to have a leisurely brunch & two lots of coffee. The menu suits all and prices are not too bad. Staff are lovely. Be warned:if you are rather useless at ordering via scanning a QR code, then this is not the place for you. Or if you don't like children. Otherwise, it is my new favourite posh Hove csff.

Went in one day, staff member was really friendly, coffee was great, nice and quiet. Went back the next day, screaming kids all over the place, had to double check I was in the same building. Giving 3 stars to average my 5* and 1* experiences in this place.

Had a great lunch and it's got a great gluten free stand alon menu, which made ordering so much easier. Food fantastic staff very informative helpful and friendly also a lovely atmosphere.

As a Dad who likes to go for a bit of food and a pint now and then this is perfect to take the kids. Super friendly place, lovely atmosphere and staff always really friendly and helpful. Food is also good and reasonably priced. Always a reliably good time had at Modelos.

Personally really like this place as a treat. It's affordable good food with lovely staff. They have a wide range of options for Vegans and Vegetarians too. But I 99% of the time have there really delicious beef burger. It can get very busy in here, sometimes very loud too but it's not uncomfortable.

Spent a couple of hours here with a group for a chat over drinks, found the place reasonable and the evening quiet enjoyable.

I love the environment in this cafe, I go often and they have a vegan menu too really good for Coptic Orthodox guys when we are fasting

We practically live at Modelo, for several reasons... Food - the variety is amazing, which is especially important with a child and a vegan on board. The vegan and GF menus are extensive and all the food is made with love. Staff - every staff member seems to have been hired because of just being a really good person. They couldn't be more welcoming, helpful, gentle and warm. Drinks - always a good selection of tasty beers and plenty of stuff in the fridge for the kid. Atmosphere - it is lovely and cosy both in the summer, with the big windows, and in the winter with the off beat decor and lamps. Games - although quite a few are missing bits (!) there is a lot of stuff to play! Thanks Modelo x

My son and I dropped in here for a late lunch. The menu was great and the food just as good. My son had the all day breakfast and the staff happily accommodated his preferences. I had the chicken flatbread which was huge and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. For Brighton the prices were reasonable too. We will certainly be back.

Lovely place to chat , snack drink or have a bigger meal . Food delicious but bar/ app ordering is irksome. Drinks are all fairly priced, but cocktails lack 'punch' . Too much ice is part of the issue.

I love The Lounges and this one in Hove is no exception. Great food with great Gluten Free options/menu, good coffee, great staff. The décor is always fun to enjoy with each Lounge.

My wife and I were in the area and decided to go here for breakfast. The service was very prompt… We ordered our food and drinks and were both very happy with what we had. We would definitely return.

Great service, friendly staff and good food work great vegan options. We tend to order via the QR code site and before I've put phone down the drinks arrive! Super fast service and the good is always tasty and well presented. We've visited several Lounges restaurants and they are all great. Modelo Lounge is our local, and our favourite! We highly recommend it.

Had tapas with the wife , very enjoyable... 3 for 12 quid I think .. halloumi, patas bravas, meatballs , honey whipped hummus, flat breads etc.. very reasonable.. drinks about average,, Large glass of wine £9.15 .. service was good and modelo lounge with all the front windows open is very nice..

We booked a table for 12 people, we ordered food at the bar separately and all was served at the same time. Quality was excellent, everyone was happy, would recommend this place highly

This is one of those places I've walked past so many times and thought.. Must give it a try... This past weekend my wife and I stopped in... So glad we did. We shared 6 tapas dishes which were all delicious. You get 3 for £12..Service was friendly and welcoming... It's got a great vibe. Seems really suitable for all ages including those with little ones. Will certainly visit again soon.
