Latinoamerica in Brighton and Hove

As usual, the best steaks in the area, try the shared steaks and the triple sauces. The staff are very helpful, and can explain every single ingradient. and don't miss the Argentinian desserts... the Dulce de leche cheese cake is perfect. Don't forget to order the trio sauce...

Sadly we only come to Brighton once a year, Superb chateaubriand, will definitely be coming back for another one next year,

Was there on a business meeting with a client and surprisingly they had on the menu one of my favourite dishes, the Secreto ibérico, only found in prominent Spanish restaurants so it was a good find. It was made to perfection with a sauce I believe it was chimichurri. Then I had a boneless 'Chicken Parrillero' which means on the grill very succulent made of leg and thigh that was crisp and juicy. I only had a sparkling water but I did check the wine list and it looked very comprehensive with brands like Zuccardi and Catena which are top in Argentina. Definitely a place to go in Hove and Brighton without breaking the bank.

We compared a number of steak restaurants in Brighton and decided to go with Latinoamerica Argentinian Grill. This was an unfortunate mistake. We arrived at 6.30 - it was quiet in the restaurant. The greeting was good but that’s where it ended. The manager/server was not thorough and was very scarce throughout the evening. The starters arrived and then it was over 45 minutes before the main meals arrived. We were not checked on during this time. We were not offered more drinks throughout the whole meal. When the mains arrived a number of items were missing and it became clear that they had not been ordered. The red wine which was suggested was undrinkable. The steaks were incredibly poor quality looking like they had been broiled instead of flame grilled. Plain rice was offered as a side - just completely plain white rice. The sauces were tiny in size and lacklustre at best. We were not even offered desserts and we’re completely forgotten about in favour of a rowdy table of local men who arrived. It was nearly impossible to hear each other. We asked for the bill and of course they had the audacity to include a service charge! For what service exactly? What a waste of £220. I would definitely not recommend and would certainly never return!

My partner and I enjoyed the early evening menu. The food was very tasty, and the beef cut very soft and cooked to the term. Chips can be improved as they were not as crispy and the presentation of the ice cream. Other than that, everything else was just fine. I will definitely come back as the prices are very reasonable for the portions.

Our first time to this amazing restaurant. We had prebooked. Sadly no photos of our great experience as I forgot my phone. However, we received a very warm welcome from the staff a were shown it a very nice table towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered two beers, calamari and empanada staters and then a fillet steak and fried beef. All of the food was very good and perfectly cooked to our liking. Great menu, spotlessly clean. There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Very generous portions. Quite expensive but perfect. Very highly recommended when in the area.

Amazing food, great service and staff are really helpful if you are indecisive about your choice of food and wine selection. I love that even though its a steak heavy menu, there is options for veggies if you wanna start light! Has become one of our favourite places for steaks! Cant wait to come back for more! We had the sharing steak platter and it was perfect portion for two people, couldn’t recommend it more!

Ordered some takeaway and It was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered 5 empanadas. One of them did burst which caused the other 4 to have soggy bases. The beef filling was greasy and lacked a bit of spice and the casing of all empanadas was quite thin. The spinach and parmesan empanada had very little cheese. When I lived and worked in Argentina you would get an empanada with a happy medium of spinach and cheese, with the cheese just about oozing. Some beef empanadas are made from leftover beef from the parilla. In Argentina especially in the outskirts of Buenos Aires you can get quite a lot of value for money on a different level. Here it is frustrating how much you pay for sth made on a budget (thin casing, little cheese). A disappointment.

My first full time job many years ago was at the hard face of a steak grill and ever since I've been pleased to pay a premium for high quality cuts prepared perfectly and that is what myself and a business associate enjoyed today. We had the platter to share with Rump, Sirloin, Ribeye and Fillet each was perfect and I tried the house special chimichurri sauce, delicious. Our server was good and suggested the Ceviche starter which was a light and flavoursome entre. It was quiet at lunchtime and so we were one of only a few tables which benefited us to enjoy lunch in a timely fashion. Definitely well worth a visit!

Amazing place for supper, for a special occasion!

Visited here for the first time Saturday night as we were passing and thought we would try. We received a warm welcome and seated to a table, menus were given to us and drinks order taken. It did take about 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. (1 beer and 1 glass of red wine). I did ask for a glass of water too but that never appeared. Our order was taken and we chose the Steak platter for two at a cost of £75. The food arrived within good time but unfortunately we were very underwhelmed with the 4 different cuts of steak that were quite small, 1 bowl of chips (frozen skinny) and 1 bowl of salad, no other accompaniments. We asked for the steak to be medium cooked which the two thinner steaks were but the thicker fillets were raw in the middle. We asked the waitress to rectify the thicker piece which she took away to be cooked more to what we had requested. We had finished the rest of the meal and we were still waiting for the steak to return. So we asked another waitress about this and eventually it returned. Took about 15 minutes. So we sat there just eating the piece of steak. We did complain when we asked for the bill because this was not satisfactory. A discount of £16 was given but even then the food we received for £59 was not, we feel value. This experience was a real shame as we have heard and read good reviews on the restaurant but sadly it put a dampener on our evening out. In fact we went to the pub opposite and my partner ending up having two packets of monster munch as he was still hungry.

The food and service was fantastic. I had the secreto iberico as a starter and probably one of the best rib eye I have ever had. 10/10 I will definitely be revisiting soon!

My two sons treated me for Father’s Day at Latino America . One of my sons had a steak of his choice and I shared the steak platter with the other. I have to say the food was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive giving us a very memorable evening .Anyone looking for steak I would recommend they try this restaurant best I’ve had !

Me and my friend have found this little gem totally accidentally when on a one day trip in Brighton. We booked lunch on Sunday 9th of June. We had limited time as our train back to London was due in 1,5 hour. The restaurant staff were amazing. They took care of our food being served super quickly. I ordered Bife de Lomo with house chips and Don Cesar salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. Without any doubt that was the best fillet steak (and the best steak in general) I have ever tasted. Melting heaven in my mouth. House chips and Cesar salad were a delightful compliment. That was one of the best meals in my entire life! We will be definitely going there more often. We need to stay for a night in Brighton next time to book late dinner there and have a proper experience tasting other stuff from their menu as well. But to be completely honest, Latinoamerica is worth of booking a train from London to Brighton and spending 2-3 hours on a journey each way, even just to go there for a meal. Latino America is AWESOME!. Two wonderful waitresses, Alexa and Susan, served us with an extremely friendly and professional manner. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband actually had the chateau briand to himself which he said was really good. He cleared the plate! I had the vegetarian steak which was really delicious. As a veggie with a meat loving husband it’s really nice that we have somewhere to eat where we are both so happy. We washed it all down with a bottle of Black Tear wine. Stunning!!

Stake cooked to perfection Service was great

Food is very good and the staff are nice however the prices on their online menu are less than what they’re actually charging. Might be that they haven’t updated the menu but still feels dishonest.

The meat experience is the one to go. We always get it, and we've never been disappointed. Friendly staff. It is one of our favourite places in hove.

The food was lovely and the atmosphere was chilled, however the service was not which is really really disappointing not angry just disappointed. We had a young waiter who was rather slow with listening and making sure our orders were correct we had to wait for our friends starter as they forgot to add this so we didn’t all eat together and we had to ask for menus and to order as we were sitting for 15-20 mins with no attention. Overall lovely food but the service has let this establishment down and I wont be returning because of this …. Miller and Carter is quicker

Lovely atmosphere, quality food, amazing, caring, and quick service, delicious. Can't complain! Little details around your served food as a small pot of pickles or crispy skinny fries make this experience worthy! I have no pictures, so I loved it all to the last bit! Enjoy the moment.

Have had the pleasure of dining here regularly (5-6 times a year for a couple of years now ) The manager Alexia runs a very focused team . Every meal is a treat & every visit is as good as your first . The Iberico pork is endlessly flavoursome . The grilled chicken is succulent and the skin crisp . The filet steak is rich and Grilled to perfection . The Calamari is light and the batter is superb . Provolone is full of flavour with some light caramelising and an endless starter with the toasted bread. Customer service is great & the staff are keen to develop a rapport if allowed. You will be greeted and served by professionals and offered a high level of service , the food will be of a superior quality and the staff are not focused on obtaining a gratuity unlike some places we have frequented . On 25th November I made a reservation for 2 at 17:15. within 2 hours of leaving the restaurant after eating the meal, I had severe food poisoning with violent vomiting and diarrhoea. Ate calamari appetizer and seabass main. I have copy of the receipt. If anyone frail had this severe food poisoning they would not have survived. I am beyond shocked. The staff need to seriously review their hygiene measures and food safety.

This restaurant has always been one of my favourites but lately, the food quality has decreased a lot. What I did not find fair at all was that the kid's menu had a steak that tasted like rotten meat. I wonder the source of this meat or if it was in fact, rotten. Staff were unable to say what it was and tried to convince us it was rump. No, it was not rump. It was suspiciously soft and looked like the worst quality meat you can find, ones that might be formed previously in a lab because the colour, smell and taste was different and dark brown. We also like rare not well-done steak and we said this while we ordered. I am extremely disappointed as I also received burned fried plantains, I wonder why the chef let this plate get out of the kitchen… I trusted this place for my children to eat quality meat and we almost gave the baby the rotten/pre-formed meat from the kid's menu. It smelled fine but taste was so bad I felt sick! We all tried it and tasted like hell. I am glad I tried it before giving it to him. Also, the empanadas that were always excellent, lacked a lot of flavour, barely any meat in there. We prefer to pay more and eat quality food. While we understand the pressures restaurants might face, the overall dining experience felt lacking compared to previous visits. I value the well-being of my family, and it’s important for us to trust the quality of the food we’re served, especially for our children. We’ve always had wonderful experiences here in the past, and I hope these issues can be addressed. It’s crucial for us to feel we are getting good value for their money, and more importantly, safe and quality food. We are hesitant about returning, but I sincerely hope improvements can be made for the sake of other diners!

One of our favourite restaurants in Hove! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great (always packed so be sure to book early!), and the service is phenomenal. My partner and I ate here 5 months ago and the waiter remembered us, what we ordered, and that we didn't drink alcohol. Thank you for such a positive experiences, each time we eat here.

The overall quality of the meat, encompassing its inherent texture, preparation, and presentation, was not up to par. Considering the price point, one can find superior fillet, ribeye, or sirloin options in the city. However, I must commend the service; the staff were attentive, cheerful, and considerate. I am hesitant to revisit.

Fabulous steaks and wines on the upper end of pricing. Have returned many times as dependable. The upstairs is a no no as really lacks atmosphere.

100% recomendado. Pedimos empanadas, chorizo, entraña y milanesa napolitana. La calidad de la carne es increíble y el personal atento en todo momento. Nos trajeron una entrada de chipas con una salsa de roquefort que estaba increíble. Sin dudas vamos a volver.

We had a great meal Saturday evening, service was great and meal tasty. Bread and squid to start followed by the meat experience the rump being the stand out meat out the 4. Rib eye was a tad disappointing we washed it down with a cracking expensive red called Vultur. Would happily return

This is a good steak restaurant. I had a nice time, the room is lovely, the staff were nice. The steaks were good as were the sides. BUT. I was expecting to be blown away because of the reviews and the fact that proper Argentinian steak places tend to be great. So I think my lack of “blown away ness” could well be due to my state coming in. But it was good not amazing. I would definitely go back and have another shot.

Exquisite meat and very friendly staff.

Four of us ate here in dec we were given a two hour slot the table near the window was a bit cramped but the interior is really pleasant .we had the empanadas for starters that we all enjoyed then the steaks 3 medium 1 medium rare all but the medium rare we’re lovely afraid the rare being tough the sides were nice except the side salad could have been better all in a nice place shame about that one steak. Would go back.

Decidimos darle una segunda oportunidad y esta vez ordenamos beef sin picantes y de nuevo estuvieron asquerosas e incomibles. Sumamente grasosas y saladas, las tuvimos que tirar de lo mal que estaban. Por el precio que tienen esperabamos mas. Si tienen antojo de empanadas eviten este lugar, existen otras opciones mucho mejores en la ciudad

I had a top time when I visited Latinoamerica restaurant in Hove. They had delicious beef, cooked to perfection, service was excellent served in style.If you have not been there, this should be next in your list , I have no doubt you will be satisfied because of the high quality of their products, and the professionalism of their restaurant room staff. I really recommend it! You should try “steak platter”with different types of beef, it was delicious!!!!

“Ding-dong” goes the service bell. “Bleep-bleep” goes the land line. “Clatter-clatter” go all the hard surfaces. Some fellow diners were using sign language…our group considered the pros and cons. OK, a bad aural experience. The food? Meh. Although half of my steak was as ordered (the other half over done), I’ve had better steaks at Cote and at home not to mention all the better steakhouses, ermm everywhere. £100 would have bought us three fantastic steaks from a local butcher plus a decent bottle of red and all the trimmings. Do better, or go home.

Heard loads about this place. Felt so rushed not relaxing at all. Food was nice.

Terrible experience. Booked a table for the back. We went there and was told that table was not available, although we were told on the phone this was fine. Rude staff. Have gone quite a few times where steak has been hit and miss. We eat at a lot of steak restaurants, this has to be the worst experience, sometimes awful steak and not professional staff. Will not be recommending or going back. Avoid. There are much better steak houses in Brighton and Hove worth the price tag.

Don’t bother to come here if you have any special dietary requirements: the staff aren’t interested and the kitchen will ignore you.

Ambience... Relaxed Service... Friendly, attentive Without rushing or being in your face. Food... To die for. Been a few times now and nothing ever seems to be to much trouble. Staff go above and beyond.

Lovely restaurant for dinner. I've been visiting with my family since it opened. I gave Argentinian family roots so I seem to be drawn to the place. The ultimate meat platter is the Argentinian experience, if you like steak then you simply have to try it - at least once in your life! - and order your favourite sides and sauces. Highly recommended.

Really tasty food and a nice atmosphere. The starters were delicious, The steaks were cooked perfectly, nice and juicy, and the sides I couldn't get enough of. The creamy mushroom and spinach won me over. I finished off everyone else's sides because they were just so good. Very full by the end of it. Very nice, wide selection of wines, with the option to taste before, and other alcoholic drinks. The waitresses were very lovely and and very experienced. It is more than I would typically spend when going for a meal, but it is definitely worth it for the service and food quality, I recommend to everyone, I'll definitely be going back.

Five of us visited the restaurant on arrival asked For drinks i asked a bottle of house red he said He had two house reds one was Melbec we had Three bottle had a good evening and we split the bill . My friend today that we paid 32 pounds For house wine . Earlier that evening in an other restaurant I paid 22 pounds that was fair Very disappointed with the conclusion of the evening

The place we go locally when we are craving for a Authentic Steak with that humble and yet delicious flavours of the South America , and as good Brazilian as I am, we love a good "chuarrasco " , whch is how we call our Picanha.or Rump Steak . Dont forget to try Latinoamerico's empanadas for an excellent starter or when you are feeling not in mood for a full meal and just an nible while you catch with a friends or beloved over an excellent taste of the South America (🇦🇷🇧🇷) while holding hands and wash it down with a good selection of premium wine list , all served bealtifully by a very knowlogble team and friendly staff that makes worth a visit as you may , like us , regarded as our second home . I have wanted to visit this place for years, and this weekend I got round to it...I shan't bother again! I think it overpriced, and the staff abrupt. The food was good, but not exactly exciting although, the cheese board was very good. As I say, I won't visit again; if I had one, it would be a 'bucket list tick' and move on.

This restaurant was a let down from start to finish. We were in a group of 8 - a surprise birthday dinner for my husband. I choose this restaurant because it had ceviche on the menu. Unfortunately it was the worst cerviche we have ever had. Four people ordered it and everyone left it. The fish was super fishy and stringy. I had two mouthfuls and had to spit it out in a napkin. The waiter didn’t question why everyone had left it. The starter took over an hour to come out. Next the steaks came and they were ok but very standard for a restaurant that specialises in steak. When the bill arrived we paid without complaint as we were a big group and didn’t want a fuss on my husbands birthday. Four of us stayed back to finish our wine and then the waiter came over and said “we had paid the wrong bill”. When I pointed out that we had paid the bill he had given us and half the group had now left. He said that we owed an extra £290 and that we must have known it was the wrong bill as it said table of four at the top of the receipt. We were all completely gobsmacked that he was blaming us for his error. When the owner came over, he was equally as aggressive and asked why it was an issue that half the group had left already. Just call them and ask them for the money tomorrow he suggested. I would definitely not recommend, at best below standard food and rude, incompetent staff.
