We visited for a quick coffee stop I asked for an iced cappuccino She proceeded to tell me how they make it Sounded stupid but when it came it tasted like cold coloured water and ice at the bottom Of the cup I went and complained nothing was offered no cash or another normal cup of coffee just an unpleasant face I walked off we went As soon as my Husband and Relations finished .

Brilliant find. Unpretentious, decent quality tasty meals in a relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Quick attentive, friendly service. Just what we wanted and we were very pleased we came in. Recommended, and would definitely visit again if in the area.

Welcoming coffee shop on the High street serving good coffee and plenty of treats too. I don't understand some of the negative reviews since we as visitors to the town had a good experience.

Dowdy little cafe. Needs a complete refurbishment. Certain staff spend more time gossiping rather than actually serving customers. When you eventually get served if you order tea it tastes like dishwater. There’s nothing remotely welcoming here so we walked out and went to BOS opposite. It’s lovely in there.

This is a lovely little cafe that serves good quality food at reasonable prices. I ordered the cheese ploughmans with extra ham and was not disappointed. The ham and cheese were both excellent quality and the ploughmans came with a boiled egg as well as salad, pickles and bread My husband ordered the beefburger and really enjoyed it. .

It lists as gluten free options, I’m not sure what they are. No gf bread, no gf sausage. Other cafes that advertise GF options have the above. It felt very unwelcoming and only offered smoked bacon. We didn’t order, we left and went elsewhere, we won’t return

The food wasn't to bad a bit disappointed with the amount we had on our plates for what we payed not very generous helping a panini with a just consisted of hand full of chips you could count the chips on out plates a small teaspoon of colslaw very dissapointed payed over £33 for three small kids potions it looked like two Pepsi's and coffee dissapointed

We came to cafe beans on monday 2nd january to meet up with 2 of our friends. To east a had a toasted teacake with strawberrty jam. To drink I had amercaion. Dogs have to go out rhe courtyard area so i was fine a not keen on dogs

Called in for breakfast, had the breakfast wrap which was delicious, lovely place/staff, would definitely recommend.

Mr Beans prides its self on incredible food, awesome drinks including their Chocolate Milkshakes, served by very professional care who make sure their customers have the greatest experience from the moment they walk in through the door to the moment they leave.

An opportune lunch here was delightful. I had a lovely lasagna and a coffee. Very good. Family ownership shined through with warm attentive care. Best in town by far.

The eggs were cold, and tasted off. Toast was rock hard and stale. Hash browns were frozen in the middle and soggy outside. Food all taste O.O.D and/or undercooked. I left me entirely meal then walked over to a different cafe and had breakfast there instead. Cappuccino wasnt great either, also strangely a waitress left a tray on my table, unsure why and when a different waitress brought my 'food' she stared at me confused until i moved the tray for her then she walked off and i had to ask her to please take the tray off my table. it was odd and i wouldnt have really minded that but then the food was terrible and very overpriced.

We visited here as we are on holiday from Scotland and staying at a nearby caravan park. We passed the window and it looked lovely inside, so we went in. We ordered coffee, hot chocolate & cake. The homemade chocolate crunch was amazing, the carrot cake & chocolate brownie got the thumbs up too. It was also good to see a few Gluten Free options for cake too. The coffee was fab, as was the generous portion of cake. The staff were friendly & attentive. Great place to stop & try reasonabley priced too, under £2 for large filter coffee & £2.50 for homemade cake. Thanks for having us. (Has it changed names as the signage is Cafe Beans?)

Wandering around Burnham looking for somewhere for a light lunch - so glad we picked this cafe - service was lovely and friendly - lunch was a wrap for me and a panini for husband they both came with chips, salad and coleslaw - so not so light in the end but the choice was good - overall a good find. So glad we chose an independent place rather than the usual wetherspoons etc

Told to sit at table totally ignored and the staff were having a private conversation with out taken our order how ride got up and left unbelievable bad service.

Marcus is kind and considerate also in Fortes he has really shaped up with Fortes now and has been the epitome great at prep its a pity he is not always there!!! I did leave one bad review but that was many years ago at Fortes However that was to do with a cook and gossip in the kitchen not him and i have taken that one off In Mr Beans the women are lovely bubbly its a whole different ball game Well Done Marcus

After walking through the town my wife and I spotted an empty table in what looked like a very busy little restaurant/ cafe style eatery the name made us laugh so in we went and were soon taken to a table after completing all the new rules everyone has to follow these days We ordered a milkshake and a black coffee For drinks the coffee was delicious but sadly the milkshake seemed to have been made in a warm glass My wife had a Prawn Sandwich and I chose a Bacon and Brie Panini It did seem a tad expensive at first but I never said anything thinking prices had gone up due to covid issues lately and I’m so glad I never spoke about the prices as when our food came to the table we were surprised It was an absolute banquet the plates were over flowing with salads and sides for both of us well worth the cost in fact Wonderfull value All I can add is both our light lunches were delicious and we will definitely head here again next time we are in B.O.S I would recommend anyone to pop in here and try the food Just try to use cold glasses for milkshakes in future 😊 otherwise top class

Terrible first impressions with a sour face and a frosty welcome. We decided to go elsewhere as the owner was so rude to us for no reason whatsoever. Such a shame as the area really needs a brilliant, warm and welcoming cafe but sadly this place is not it.

Visited in August with a friend we bith had our dogs and we were made to feel very welcome I had the cottage pie one of the best I have ever had very reasonable price too my friend had cheesy chips we felt these were a little over priced but nice and our dogs were given treats too xx

Visited twice whilst on holiday in Burnham on Sea. The drinks were reasonably priced and presented with a biscuit which is a nice touch. Staff were friendly and followed all of the COVID advice regarding hygiene. The environment felt safe and clean. We didn’t eat at the cafe but the food did look very nice.

Called here some years ago and with Costa being shut visited here. Good range of food and drinks and reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food and coffees were good but would like a bigger cup.

I came for lunch yesterday and I had a gammon ham panini with cheese mushrooms and onion it and it came with a big portion of chips so I left quiet a lot and a side salad but left the tomato as I don't eat them. My direct payment lady had a tuna sandwich with a side salad and crips. I had Victoria sponge and it was gluten fee but I could not taste the different between normal and gluten free. The toilet is a good size but no where to change a baby nappy.

Visited here this morning (06/09/20) wanted a full English and this cute little cafe was just what we needed! Absolutely delicious breakfast, generous portions and great value for money. Will definitely return if we visit again (from Torquay) Thankyou!

We got to Cafe Beans in the morning because we were going to Looe in Cornwall and we needed some breakfast so we went to Cafe Beans and we loved it.

Food is ok but please clean this place!! Sticky tables,cobwebs everywhere,thick dust and upkeep the paint work,people enjoy sitting somewhere clean and nice to look at!! Clean it,paint it,general upkeep!!!!

Called in for a lunch time bite to eat and drink. There were four of us and due to covid 19 restrictions were greeted at the door and shown to a table after it had been sanitised. All tables were well spaced and we felt very comfortable in the surroundings. We ordered sandwiches BLT, prawn cocktail, and two chicken salad with choice of granary or white bread, together with the drinks. The sandwiches arrived very quickly with bit of salad and crisps. All were very fresh and well presented and very tasty and drinks were hot too. We will certainly be back and fully recommend this place for a visit.

Ate lunch here as most other food outlets in the area serve fast food. Sat outside at the back, next to the kitchen so we could hear the kitchen staff but not really an issue. The service was organised and friendly and the food turned out to be excellent

My daughter and I was in BOS and decided to have a coffee before the bank opened. We chose Mr Beans and we are glad we did. The staff member that served us was extremely helpful and had a lovely personality and the coffee was as good as any you would get elsewhere. We indulged in a cake and wow was that yummie. This isn’t our usual coffee stop but will be in future.

I visited Cafe Bean with my parents for lunch. Both are disabled and we could simply not access the Wetherspoons on the sea front which was a huge disappointment. We received a warm welcome at Cafe Bean, great food and at very good prices. Thanks so much for your patience and top service.

We decided to break our journey and have a look at Burnham on Sea and find somewhere to eat. We walked along the sea without finding anywhere that suited us. So we walked to the street that runs behind rhe seafront and came across Mr Beans. We saw the 5 star hygiene sign and quite a few people eating inside so we decided to give it a try. As we were at the seaside we had fish and chips, which were fine. We felt that we had done reasonably well wirh our choice.

Such a great place. Friendly. Great menu. Food is fab. Service brilliant. We are local and come here lots as a couple or with the kids. Lovely atmosphere. Great place for lunch or breakfast

The food is really nice, not the cheapest but never the less really nice, the tables are always sticky, it's always busy, the milkshakes are amazing, most of the staff are nice and friendly just one or two possibly in need of customer care course and lesson in wiping tables properly but still one of the best places to eat.

Outside looks a bit old fashioned but the inside is really nice. More important is the food and drink. Brilliant sandwiches served with a salad and was well presented. The coffee also very good, Lovely staff and very efficient. The toilet was extremely clean and I always think that is a good sign of general cleanliness. A really nice place to be for a simple bite and drink

Nice place in main high street. Friendly helpful staff and great food. Nice tea and lovely coffee. Clean and tidy. Staff are very attentive and clear away tables promptly ready for next customers. Would certainly visit again.

Visited here this week. Seats a bit close together. Coffee and cake was nice. Not so easy to get in with a wheel chair

I have been to this cafe with my family on two separate occasions this year, and ultimately have nothing bad to say about it.. both experiences were great, the staff were friendly and the food was exceptionally nice. I cannot fathom the negative reviews they have received..We will definitly be heading here again on our next trip to Burnham on Sea

The place looked nice from the outside - good food hygiene rating but staff were completely unprofessional. We asked for a half portion of a menu item for our 3 year old and were greeted by a horrified stare and much muttering. With that the manager was called who was very rude and pointed out that there was a children’s menu ( nuggets, sausage, chips). Nothing healthy and certainly not a patch on some of the much nicer sounding adult meals. No reason was given or attempt to explain why they wouldn’t do it. We just got their unhelpful attitude and plenty of shoulder shrugging.Needless to say - we left without ordering!

Called in from town for a quick snack.The place is Always clean,with such a Friendly Staff,always ready to cheer you up.Its in Worle High Street,busy Rd,but the cafe is always busy too.You get a Great selection of food,where they use local ingredients.My Favorite is scrambled eggs with toast,mixed salad,coleslaw & crisps a meal in its self Yummy

Went there on Sunday been a few times but never again . Ordered scrambled egg two bits of bacon .and separate well done toast .after ten minutes went to ask were toast was and the girl replied its coming . Well never seen well done toast like bread . By this time breakfast was cold they never asked us if we wanted it reheating or wanted anything else so a no no from us

Disappointing on all counts. Hot drinks are served in very small cups. Coffee lukewarm as was the welcome. Cake average and overpriced. Service at a snails pace, seating and décor uninspiring. If you have a dog be warned and read carefully as despite the inviting sign at the entrance describing 'dogs welcome' you will be ushered to a very small, dark outside patch at the back of the kitchen which is neither cosy or welcoming especially on a cold February afternoon! The Bay View on the seafront is much more dog friendly and has a far superior location.

Visit here quite often when in town. The coffee is nice, and not too expensive. Service is friendly.

Fantastic club sandwich, one of the best I've eaten. Service excellent even for this fussy old so and so. Would recommend this cafe to everyone.

coffee isn't great, let's say a latte is made differently in many cafes. food is ok, often with lots of salad, can be a little costly, but good value. sometimes I find complaints about food are taken as a personal issue. That is extremely unprofessional as I have about decade of customer service and catering experience. Not everyone who is like that, just some people can lack good customer service skills. Hence this review.

We were in Burnham on Sea for a couple of hours and called in here for a cup of tea which was okay, the tables were sticky but otherwise it seems a nice comfy cafe

We went to burnham for the carnival and were pleased to see mr beans is still there. This time I had the mixed grill it was excellent value for money and well presented.

Not only has Mr Beans lost its friendly atmosphere, but was disappointed that the amount of prawns I was given with my baked potato.

I went to this cafe in Burnham on sea last week whilst on holiday with my husband and his family. My mother in law is disabled and the staff were friendly and helped her. We all ordered different items. My husband had a curry, my sister in law had the quiche, aunt had scrambled eggs on toast, mum in law a cheese sandwich and I had a cheese and beans jacket potato. All the food was well presented and good size meals. I think the cheese sandwich had a whole packet of cheese in it! There was a great choice on the menu and specials too! I thoroughly recommend this cafe.

Called for lunch but had all day breakfast. Cafe seemed well attended by local residents which is usually a good sign. The food was good, well cooked and hot but the place could do with a good clean. A little slow at cleaning away dirty tables and I had to move dirty dishes etc to another empty table before we could sit down.

Homemade soup was divine, excellent value for money baguette and large Children’s meal ! Highly recommend

Had lunch today, lasagne and a special omelet. Everything was nice and hot and looked lush, coffee great not too strong, tables cleaned as we sat down as they were busy. Nice quick service.

We were lucky enough to find this little gem of a restaurant today for lunch, myself along with husband and 3 children we enjoyed fabulous food and service. The food was outstanding and plentyful, we ate the lot.

Lovely cakes and coffee but cups a bit small. Nice atmosphere. Toilet spotless and reasonable space between tables. Didn't have a main meal but they looked very good.

The coffee is good, although it comes in disappointingly small cups. The sandwiches and paninis are excellent, and the range and quality of their home made cakes is wonderful. This cafe is also dog friendly.

Popped in initially just for a coffee and green tea, but being lunch time we spotted meals coming out mainly sandwiches, baguettes altho one or two hot meals. All smelt and looked tempting so we decided just to have couple of sandwiches.

My friends and I often go into this café, it is lovely, bright and airy. The food is excellent, always hot and well presented. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff, they are warm and friendly. Tables are cleared quickly and cleanliness is second to none. There are a large variety of drinks, the coffee in particular is great. If I’m ever asked where to eat in Burnham, I always recommend this place. I’ve never been disappointed! Ideal for families too, the prices are very reasonable!

Filthy tables and toilet. Felt very unwelcome when ask for tea they didn't have it. Never seen such a unprofessional approach towards customer. Rude and obnoxious unfortunately. We won't be back.

Ordered our food then sat at table, realised it was sticky so moved to another, that one had crumbs on so moved again. Waited 20 mins for food to arrive despite café not being busy. Gourmet burger was average. The home made leek, bacon and potato pie had baby potatoes cut in half with skin still on and not much else to be honest. A few small bacon scraps, a few pieces of corn and little leek. All in all an average meal. A dog came in and was greeted by the person behind the till jumping on the counter. I think dogs in cafes are acceptable but encouraged to put paws on counter where food is served REALLY!

Dropped in for a late lunch whilst visiting Burnham. Excellent Cappuccino coffee and really fresh sandwiches with tasty wholemeal bread. Wonderful helpful staff! Really great value for money and the best cafe in the town by far!!!

Visited here again after going here before. Ordered coffee and bakewell slice. Coffee wasn't so hot and bakewell slice was hard on bottom. A little dissapointed after last time. Wife had ginger and lemon cake which she enjoyed but said it could be a little lighter. I don't think we will be back again.

Popped in for a light lunch the tables could have been cleaner prices a little high I thought but food was pretty good .

Not a chain but a real place that looks after its customers. Coffee was good and hot and served in a decent sized mug. The bacon sandwich arrived quickly and was perfect. The bacon was top quality and not too salty. The bread was super...

I went for the burger. It is home made but very very bland. Drinks come in cans on not on draft. I did like the chips but the burger was very bland. Yes home made but no flavour at all.

Only had ham egg and chips, but the ham was lovely the chips were very hot the eggs were perfectly cooked served was welcoming and friendly best food we have eaten in burnham on sea and we have tried almost every eatery.

Great food and nice coffee, lovely staff.

We have visited this cafe a few times now whether with our puppy or on our own and they have always provided lovely hot coffee. We also like their cakes as there is such a good variety. I also like the way that they treat dogs, albeit you have to go out in the courtyard, as they provide water and treats.

We found the food well cooked and very well presented and we will be going back again

Me dio este lugar una segunda oportunidad, pero de nuevo me decepcionó. Había 3 miembros de personal detrás del mostrador y sólo una porción. Los otros dos fueron charlando y ignorando la cola de crecimiento. Esperé por casi 10 minutos para ser servido.

Overpriced, 'washroom' is freezing and damp. Tables cramped. Service is average, smiles few and far between...no apology when our order was sent out wrong. Not really any flexibility on the menu- asked for mushrooms on my sandwich, ended up with a bowlful of mushrooms to large to put on a sandwich. Really wanted to like this place, but it could be so much better. I wouldn't go here again, and the group I was with share this opinion. By no means is this a bad place... it just didn't live up to the expense.

We ate in here Sunday morning. Breakfast was very good. Much better than the time we used across the road.Fresh coffee, Food cooked as ordered. A choice of toast of fried bread, granary or white.A very relaxing unhurried experience. We will be coming back.

Went with friends to a theme evening. Lovely modern coffee shop tastefully and modern decorated. Slightly quirky Very CleanHosts and staff very friendly and accommodatingSet menu three course dinner, with ample choice . Food well presented tasty and good portions, hot food served on hot plates. Had an excellent singer David Ford singing throughout our meal and dancing afterwards.Excellent evening, Very good value. Will look out for future Themed evenings.

Looking for a quiet place to have a lunch, we have given this place our first visit and I'm sure we'll be back.It looked like the establishment had been left in the hands of the Saturday staff, who all were doing a great job.My wife is quite fussy when it comes to her mocha coffee, and despite being a little under the weather, she really enjoyed her cup. Not something churned automatically by a machine by put together by hand. This could be her new favourite. She ordered the small appetite fish fingers and chips, and was presented with three fingers and chips the same size as my regular portion burger. I'm not a burger fanatic, but this was very nice, not something out of the freezer, plenty of salad, a slab of bacon and a tasty sauce.There are some very tempting looking cakes too, but we behaved ourselves. I'm sure we'll get over that and sample some in the future.

We have been to this cafe on various occasions over the last few months and have enjoyed a good hot cup of coffee and a cake. We have found the staff attentive and willing to advise on the cakes/snacks available. Good value for money.

Visited today for lunch with hubby. Wanted to go to a local cafe avoiding 'chain' eating places. Good choice of food and reasonably priced. I had jacket spud with tuna and hubby had a omelette. Both meals were very nice. Service was friendly. Cafe was clean and tidy and well laid out not to squashed in. Would return again.

very nice place for breakfast or dinner or just a nice coffee etc.staff good and owners top guys ,,,staff can be slow some times but do try hard ,and over all place is 100 % good.owners have turned this place around and made it one of the best restaurants and coffee shops in town,,,well done

Having been to the Cafe before and enjoying it I visited again with a member family visiting Burnham. The water provided for the tea was luke warm but we didn't complain we just got on with it and drank it. We ordered Chilli & Jacket which took quite a while to prepare considering the chilli is pre made somewhere else (as disclosed by staff). When it came the chilli had an awful smell and the mince also had a strange soft texture, I advised the staff of this just explaining it smells funny. All they responded with is that "people normally eat it without any problems, it was only opened yesterday and that is how it is so you can't have a refund". I didn't ask for a refund, the member of staff was very defensive and didn't offer an alternative or apology. She said it always smells like that. Regardless of whether people have ate it before it doesn't mean the smell is right or appealing. It smelt off and we left the chilli only eating the jacket. It just seemed they had no interest in customer service we had already ignored the cold tea issue, overall it was substandard to my previous visit.

We have called in here now twice in 2 years and on both occasions we have not been disappointed.We have twice had meals and it was hot ,freshly cooked and a good sized portion also teas and coffees.We have no complaints and will call in again on carnival day next year.Thank you.

A friend and I had a filter coffee each - both lukewarm. I mentioned this discreetly to staff member but was contradicted. Second cup was hot after this! Staff definitely not on par with the old Mr Beans. Table clearing slow. Won't visit again as plenty of other coffee shops happy to gave our custom.

Been here before two years ago and was nice then. Today was awful. Ordered full breakfast with fried bread and scrambled eggs on granary toast. My husband got burnt toast not fried bread. I got cremated toast and severely overcooked scrambled eggs. Will not go back. We didnt feel appropriate to speak up as no one seemed interested once food delivered. Shame but BOS is getting worse each time we visit.

We had been searching for somewhere to eat and we were very pleasantly surprised when we stumbled on Mr Beans. The premises were clean and bright and the staff very friendly and attentive. Service was quick and the food was very good and great value for money. We each had a delicious omelette with jacket potato etc together with a pot of tea for £14. There is a patio and courtyard with extra seating. Orders are placed at the counter and meals are brought to the table. We shall certainly use again when in the area.

Plenty of steak, cheese and onion in it and more like a main meal than a snack. Even had the choice of weak, medium or strong coffee. Excellent quality. Will definitely eat here again.
