Morrisons Portsmouth in Portsmouth

We arrived at 1615, the restaurant was advertised as "open" until 1700, we had our two young grandchildren with us (two adults and two young children). went to order meals, all wanted hot meals and were curtly informed hot meals were finished and when we asked when they stopped, we were given a short response "NOW", to which I was thoroughly disgusted: One they shouldn't advertise open for food when they are not and secondly they should employ staff with a modicum of politeness.

Shocking shocking shocking! I paid 99p for some bacon to go with my meal and received "that" (see picture). One Cold, shriveled and rock hard excuse for a rasher! Upon complaining, the assistant shrugged his shoulders and said "and"!! It's so bad here it's almost funny.

We came to the cafe for tea at 5pm. The website said it shuts at 6pm. There was very little hot food left available and a long wait for what was left. Clearly not a great option for a family on the way to the ferry!

Supermarket cafe, with two hours free parking serves a really good breakfast, and prices are reasonable. The cakes look inviting as well.

Average breakfast, more expensive than a little cafe where you are going to have bacon and sausage that isn't microwaved. would only go here if there was no where else to go in all honesty.

A full English breakfast for £2.75 plus drink. This is the price during the half price breakfast offer. It's a budget breakfast at budget price so if hungry then a cheap refill is available here. Collect your drinks and order and pay at counter. There are paper menus at entrance, we missed them so were a bit confused about what was available or of course you can order on your phone.

Reasonably clean and tidy, some tables needed clearing but found a seat no problem. No menus on the tables so ordering was done at the till which slowed the queue, sorry if you were stuck behind me. Same with tea and coffee, I wanted three coffees and it took an age for the machine to dispense, good size mugs though. Service was a litle slow but I think this was because it was mostly fresh cooked. Overall the breakfasts were a good, basic, quality but substantial and well cooked, apart from the black pudding, which was a little too "well cooked". For the money you cannot complain and we would go back again.

We went at 2.30 Sunday afternoon, service was first class. We had scones and hot beverages it was lovely. Special thank you to all hard working staff as nothing is to much trouble. Returning again tomorrow for an ultimate breakfast. Thank you Fred

We had two great breakfasts, The Ultimate and the Vegan with toast and coffee, total bill £5.50 an absolute bargain. Stephany took our order and was super lovely and efficient

Finished shopping & decided to have some lunch here, what a mistake. The place was dirty, nobody cleaning tables etc, with this coronavirus scare I would have thought they would be more on the ball with cleanliness. My mum wanted poached egg but they couldn't do one, only fried or scrambled, do eggs that need poaching come from different chickens ??? then Waited about half hour for cold food. Will not be coming back again

Had big breakfast very nice the staff where very nice to my wife had sausage and chips all in all very good well worth a visit ;)

Terrible experience waited nearly 25 minutes for forks. The service is very poor and food was cold with hits in it. All round bad experience.

Only popped in for a quick toasted sandwich but had to wait 30 mins for it to be toasted. Not even warned when we paid. Also no real milk for tea, just UHT plastic pots which must cost them more than real milk, be very non-green and tastes awful. Just put out a jug of real milk! Toasties were ok though I suppose.

I can’t fault the value for money here, especially the afternoon deals they do. It is a very busy restaurant and unfortunately that reflects on the waiting time. None the less a great variety of food and drink and kind helpful staff. Coffee is nice but not very hot! Great place for a snack before the food shopping!

Another place in Portsmouth where we have breakfast. Usually a twenty minute wait because it is freshly cooked to order. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food tastes good.

Tomé un café rápido aquí antes de conducir a Londres después de bajarse del ferry de Isle Of Wight, mucho mejor que la última visita a Morrison que experimenté. Mi único comentario negativo fue el hecho de que las mesas estaban un poco sucias y una gran cantidad no se había limpiado después de que los clientes se habían ido.El personal fue muy amable que mis visitas anteriores a Morrison's Cafe también!

Fui a Morrison por primera vez en bastante tiempo. Siempre disfruto de mi desayuno en Morrison's, pero hoy no lo hice. Tuve el gran desayuno, pero quería cambiar una salchicha por un huevo extra. Hicieron mi pedido totalmente incorrecto y agregaron una salchicha y DOS huevos. Cuando les conté el error, lo cambiaron voluntariamente, pero cuando recuperé el desayuno, hacía calor. Luego pedí mostaza y me dijeron que ya no la mantenían, debido a las alergias de las personas. Sin duda, si las personas son alérgicas a la mostaza, ¿no lo pedirían? Personalmente, no puedo comer salchichas sin mostaza, así que dejaré de ir a Morrison's para el desayuno (lo cual es probable), ¡o traeré mi propia mostaza! No estoy seguro de si me cobraron demasiado o no. Morriso, por favor, comienza a proporcionar mostaza otra vez, tienes otras salsas, pero no me gustan.

Todas nuestras compras estaban en el transportador. Las envolturas de tortilla eran del tipo incorrecto para mi hijo de 4 años. Le dije al muchacho hasta los segundos. Los siguientes clientes tenían una carretilla llena de cosas, así que tuve que mover mis artículos a otra caja. Nunca he visto o escuchado sobre tal comportamiento. O el supervisor de caja o los otros clientes se encargaron de mover mis cosas. Estaba furioso. ¿Qué tal un poco de paciencia o un poco de cortesía? No de Morrison o de la gente de Portsmouth, parece. Es una pena en Morrison's. Todo esto mientras mantengo a mis hijos de 2 y 4 años conmigo. La culpa es tu Morrison

Very good store. Staff helpful. I go here to shop most weeks. There is a wide enough selection of items to choose from. There are some value products. There is plenty of parking spaces.

Tuvimos problemas para encontrar un lugar para alojarse en un 3 y m25 en el camino hacia el ferry y terminamos en Morrisons justo cerca de la base naval. Los desayunos y comidas todo el día tenían una buena relación calidad-precio, el personal era amable y servicial, incluso notando que habían cobrado y llevar sobre el reembolso sin preguntarnos. Los niños disfrutaron de sus comidas tanto pidieron que parar de nuevo en el camino a casa - teníamos otra buena comida de calidad.

Convenient hang out while awaiting the ferry to Spain. Clean and comfy tables and booths with snacks, lunches and drinks on offer.

We have been here a few times before shopping in Gunwarf, staff always helpful and the breakfast is always very good, hot, fresh and good value for money - most enjoyable. Free parking and easy to get to.

Es fácil ver por qué Morrison Portsmouth se aferra a su cuota de mercado. Sé que es una cafetería supermercado y no es un restaurante de estrella Michelin, pero la comida era verdaderamente horrible! aquí Viajo mucho por trabajo, pero tener mi propio negocio significa que a menudo tienen una cena caliente en lugares como estos. Que se puede esperar, básico pero este era realmente horrible. En primer lugar no tienen la mitad de las cosas en el menú incluso después encargué. Me había pescado y patatas fritas que estaban secas y el pescado duro. Luego una esponja jarabe que había sido superficial durante tanto tiempo el jarabe habían ido duro y negro. No es agradable en absoluto. Es una pena porque siempre pensé que lo de cafeterías morrison pero piensa dos veces antes de ir ahora.

Can only speak as we find,and I'm quite impressed,the lady on the till was friendly,helpful and curtious,something that's sadly lacking these days,the food was well presented and piping hot,overall a great experience,will I be returning,without I doubt I will.

Visited after shopping. Arrived 17.15 with my two year old son. We do our weekly food shopping here and used to come to this cafe in the week for lunch with are older son. Then it was pleasant service with a smile, assisted. Colours and paper for the children. Tonight's visit was just disgraceful. Waited 35 minutes for a child's meal for no child's meal to arrive. When I questioned to where it was apparently only two members of staff serving in a none busy cafe was the issue of heating food! My child was bored and upset by this point, no colours no paper not child friendly at all! Staff were rude and miserable! Customer service was utterly shocking. Coffee machine was empty of milk! Again shouting through for attention after paying for a latte and unable to make!! No staff to be seen! I then asked for a refund, again waited for a manager who was attentive to us and refunded are money. Tina her name was, she seemed very understanding, I did state I would also call tomorrow as felt so agitated, ease on bonfire night feeding are toddler turned into mayhem! People behind us also were waiting for a refund as had been also waiting 45 minutes! What a shame to what was such a lovely cafe. I shall not be returning here. I shall follow my complaint through as it has just tarnished my weekly routine even for a shop as a working parent!

If you like shopping for fresh tasting food, this is the place to shop. The vegetables here are kept fresh in refrigerated counters. Also this Morrisons takes a real pride in its meat and fish. Never been disappointed in 4 years

have been eating breakfasts here for the last month, The choices are excellent and the ambiance OK for a supermarket café!! Toilets fresh and checked every hour!! The whole experience was great and less money than buying the ingredients to cook at home. Without the need to do the washing up. I would recommend this offer to anyone. Best value for money in a long time.

I have used this cafeteria several times now and have always been more than satisfied with the breakfasts (I am as early morning shopper) that I have purchased. The food is always freshly cooked and well presented. The elderly gentleman invariably either on the till or serving diners is always polite and cheerful. This cafe is spotlessly clean and tables are quickly cleared. Morrisons have got this place right

Went for Sunday breakfast with two small children. Usually go to another supermarket café but thought we'd try here for a change.Great menu, newly built and modern looking.No plates for the pasteries. ... Coffee filled so high it spilt all over the tray... Nobody serving. Mug's but no cups for tea. Milk only available in the individual cartons. Food did come quickly.Fried bread was inedible but rest of breakfast was reasonable. Experiment failed...won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it.

Only a short walk from where we were staying and was open late. Good menu choice and food was hot and tasty

When I finished my shopping it was raining so decided to have a coffee and cake what a mistake the coffee tasted disgusting so glad the cakes looked old so I didn't have one what a waste of money.

Popped in to get Breakfast and A coffee, there were no cups by the hot drink machine.Asked the lady on the till if there were any cups and she replied"well how many do you want"!!Very rude and wasnt the slightest bit interested in her job.on the positive side of things, the breakfast arrived quite promptly, was hot and very good quality.Dont think I would rush back in a hurry.

ordered 2 jacket potatoes, came quickly, hot and enjoyable. If you want something cheap and cheerful this is a good place to visit

Have been to Morrisons now several times. Have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The premises are always nice and clean. The food is good for what it is. It comes freshly cooked, nice and hot and not just dumped on the plate.The coffee is good and the prices are really good. We use this supermarket to buy the last few things to take back to France where we live, and have lunch here before catching our ferry home. It is really convenient for us.

Came to Morrisons to do some shopping but decided to have some lunch first, we knew there was a cafe but had never tried it . Thought it was just going to be a " sandwich & drink" place but was pleasantly surprised by the vast range of food they serve for a supermarket cafe. We decided on the mini fish & chips, it was delicious. Light golden batter on just the right sized piece of fish, a handful of chips & a few peas. Judging by other peoples empty plates all the food must be as tasty as ours was. Will definately be visiting again.

Went in to this branch of Morrisons on Friday 1st May at approximatley 1pm, the restaurant itself looks absolutley spotlessley clean.Had A look at the menu and we decided on 2 portions of there Fish and Chips, Couldnt quite work out where to order the food as the food ordering point at the restaurant entrance was unmanned.The 2 ladies also in front of me couldnt work it out either.Eventually A member of restaurant staff came over and told us to order at the till point, which A female member of staff was sat behind, but you couldnt actually see her from the restaurant entrance.So the 2 ladies in front of me got served , and then I asked for 2 Fish and Chips after I had poured our hot drinks, to be told No FISH LEFT!!Really in A supermarket in Portsmouth city centre on A Friday afternoon at the start of A bank holiday weekend! Also A supermarket that has A wet fish counter that had Cod on display, and A great frozen food section with lo and behold Cod in it.Surley there could be some sort of sign up stating this before you go and order, so you then dont have to walk back to the table, see what your partner wants to eat and then in theory start all over again.So we gave up and went elsewhere!

Like most supermarkets each one offers a slightly better product or deal compared to the other I'm not really a Morrisons shopper so to speak however Credit where credits due Morrisons are spot on for bacon baps. They actually taste home made or like they have come from a proper cafe. Really nicely filled with thick bacon and soft rolls. The best part is if your been lazy in the morning just like myself this morning. you can grab a fresh coffee & bacon bap for only £2 amazing !! Honestly if you haven't tried one yet go do it you really won't be disappointed :)

In the store, we decided to use the cafe and we were impressed by the good menu range and the cheerful, friendly staff. The food is of the usual sandwich, jacket potato range, well presented and at a fair price. Hot drinks are available via dispensers. If you are in the building and looking for a refuel, you will not be disappointed. Additionally, free wifi is available.
