Morrisons In-store Cafe in Gloucester

Popped in for breakfast. Staff were rude and unresponsive, but to be fair they were clearly understaffed. They could not serve us from till so used the really irritating electronic screen who's sole existence in life seems to be to upsell you things you don't want. Food was ok which stops it being a one rating

Came in for a breakfast the breakfast was fine but the service was poor I when my breakfast came asked where my coffee was and then told that you get a cup and help yourself to coffee the cashier should have said to me that you need to pick up a cup and help yourself to the coffee

Wife was served cold baked potato with what can only be described as a 'pinch' of cheese. No dressing on the salad. I got a mini fillet of fish with chips and peas- chips cold!. Used to be a good value stop for lunch and breakfast....not anymore. Final straw finding they charge extra for milk in your coffee from the machine. No more thanks Morrisons we are done

Arrived here in the morning we was the only customers in the restaurant at the time ordered egg on toast took 45 minutes to be brought to the table and it was cold👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻like come on we all know we can cook egg on toast in less than 5 minutes at home, and to top it off a member of staff drilling through the work counter which was extremely loud while we are trying to have a meeting now have a headache DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE EXTREMELY LONG WAIT AND DISGUSTING FOOD will never return here again poor service.

This cafe is beyond a joke. Its filthy, cluttered, no sandwiches available, hot drinks machone don't work and the staff are rude. When I tried to ordered food and queried an item on the menu, I heard the young man serving say "For f*cks sake" under his breath. I had two young children with me, one of whom had complex medical issues. I was disgusted by the lack of care and certainly a total disregard for customers and their needs. If you've got an hour or two to spend waiting for a simple soup, go for it.... that's the best you'll get out of them. Don't bother complaining to management, either. No one in that hell hole they dare to call a supermarket, gives a damn. They've lost a customer in me, for sure. Ross on wye is a way better store, by miles.

Visited on Saturday for lunch at 11.30am and went to the screen to order. Before we could order food we were told there would be an hour's wait for food, even though the cafe was only half full. Staff member said we should shop then it might be less busy? Decided to buy 3 hot drinks but there was no hot chocolate and only one cup so waited for the dishwasher to be emptied. Finished our drinks and we could see everyone had their food, approx 12.15pm. Went back to ask how long for food now and were told one hour because staff had to start prepping food. At this point we left. As much as I would like to blame the demotivated and demoralised staff, I can't. Three staff members to run a busy Saturday lunchtime is penny pinching in the extreme. You are offering more services but reducing staff numbers, as a business model this has failure written all over it but Morrison don't appear to care. Shame on you. Start investing in your staff Remi, they are more important than the bags of rice on the shelf!

There's something seriously wrong with this cafe. Hygiene is poor, the place appears dirty and unloved, service is dire and the staff appear apathetic and unbothered. I've attended a number of times, often to be told that food items aren't available, or items listed on the menu (at the entrance) are no longer an option. Yesterday's visit was no different. Attended around lunchtime to be told our first options weren't available. We ordered something else, but then had to wait around 50 minutes for the food to arrive. The cafe wasn't busy. Why not inform the customer the food is delayed at the point of ordering? When the food did arrive, it looked like a plate of slop (cottage pie apparently, just poured into the plate). This cafe should be closed down, or Morrisons should pull their finger out and provide a decent experience for the paying customer. I won't be returning.

If you're looking to eat anything hot at this Morrisons Cafe at Gloucester you'd be better looking elsewhere. Exceptionally slow service, waited 50 minutes for 3 cooked breakfast meals in the cafe that had only 14 people sat in various stages of dining. Floors dirty, empty used plates and cups left on tables, staff working behind the counter area normally seen on checkouts so obviously short staffed. Had to wait for knives as ' they are being washed' then only 3 bought out and put in cutlery tray. No serviettes available - offered blue paper roll. A manager came in while we were waiting for food and had to ask cafe staff to clear the tables. When food arrived it was hot but bacon rasher mainly fat and fried eggs on all three breakfasts had been substituted for scrambled 'egg' which had no taste, The worst Morrisons cafe we have ever been in, they're usually consistently good.

Terrible. Service was bad. Waited far too long for a cafe in a supermarket and had to wait for cutlery as no clean cutlery was out. Glass of water in a mug (which wouldn’t have bothered me of everything else was good). Will continue to shop here but never eat in the cafe again.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but wow this cafe deserves one. Got seating no problem but waited 45 mins for food 😬 the young lad on the till was pleasant but the lady that brought our food over was not ! We had curries, she said chicken tikka sweet potato whose is whose, and she literally dropped them on the table, she might as well as thrown them at us. But although the price has gone up and you don't get much I have to say the food was nice 👌

Never been here before. Ordered food via the screen in the cafe. No sign posting for where to get self service hot drinks. Inexplicably, drinks paraphernalia not all together in one place and had to search about for them. Lunchtime and not enough cups out out, no teaspoons, no ketchup. Had to ask for these things, and although staff helped, no staff on standby to assist so had to call out to them in the kitchen part beyond. Drip marks on teapots, and on coffee machines which looked shabby and uncared for. Tables all have some sticky residue of past sticky labels and seemingly no attempts to clean them off. Food was reasonable, but one dish not as described on the menu and had to be sorted out with the staff who did eventually bring the described accompaniments to the meal. No sense of any leadership or anyone who cared enough to be in charge. Generally very shabby and very unlikely to return.

Being lazy decided to have a bacon sandwich, well most of mine was undercooked white fat , by the time I got to eat it was cold, due to a manager and another member of staff having a long conversation and blocking off the tea and coffee machine.

Visited with my disabled mother who rarely gets out of the house and looks forward to a trip to the supermarket. One member of staff on till who had to take orders and money, deliver food to tables and give out salt/pepper/sugar/plates for cakes etc!! Not sure why these are all kept behind the counter?? Because there were no other staff people were left waiting for ages. Ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and it had to be the worse tuna mayonnaise I’ve ever eaten, wish I’d taken a photo as it’s hard to describe how awful it looked & tasted. Potato was fine but it was delivered to the table with a tiny bowl of about 1 tablespoon of what was mostly cheap tasting mayonnaise, I’d be surprised if there was a teaspoon of tuna in it. No butter too so basically I ate a potato which was nearly £5!! Will not visit again, everything looked unclean and the staff were not very helpful. If I could give it a minus star rating I would. Definitely would not recommend!!

It would be hard to imagine being less impressed than I was. Food took measly an hour to arrive. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Not remotely impressed

Didn't think this cafe in metz way could get any worse,you get used to dirty tables and cold breakfast, called in today all I wanted was something quick so I asked for a slice of toast at 9.37 a.m at 9.55 a.m I was still waiting,there were 6 other people already eating and not waiting for food, I ask how much longer I would have to wait didn't even get a reply,the assistant walked off to the kitchen and he didn't return with an answer or even a slice of toast 5 minutes later I was still waiting, it never turned up,and I don't think I will again either.

Ordered online to collect but when I arrived it was chaos. After 45 mins I got my order and left. Have used Morrison’s Abbeydale cafe several times and been impressed but this was terrible. How do you even make grey/blue scrambled eggs?!? Burnt food and none of the order was correct. One meal had to be binned because we said no egg and whole thing was covered by a fried egg!! Not great for allergies ! Cheap but if you can’t cope, don’t offer because this was truly shocking

No hay dónde poner tus propias cosas para que puedas aclararte detrás de ti mismo. - Cuando empezaron a limpiar las mesas, retiraron la basura pero no limpiaron las mesas. Sillas de bebé después de su uso no fueron borrados. - Los materiales de limpieza y los líquidos se dejaron desatendidos y al alcance de los clientes y niños pequeños. - La manipulación de alimentos por parte del personal de cocina deja mucho que desear. - El equipo de limpieza que viene a limpiar los pisos solo estaba haciendo un esfuerzo simbólico, recolectando la parte extraña aquí y allá y no limpiando la suciedad en los pisos.El Gerente de Servicios al Cliente estuvo presente en el Café durante todo el tiempo que pasamos en el Café y parecía que estaba muy dispuesto a aceptar un enfoque generalmente perezoso e inactivo por parte de su personal para completar sus tareas de manera competente. No ofreció una gestión abierta del personal y hubo una falta general de urgencia para corregir las fallas mencionadas anteriormente.Podría seguir pero no vale la pena mi tiempo. La falta general de limpieza y la apatía general del personal por sus deberes ha asegurado que si a ellos no les importa ni a mí, no regresaré y le aconsejo que si le gusta su salud, tampoco vaya allí.Como nota de publicación, 25 minutos después de informar al Gerente de servicios al cliente de lo que consideré una mala práctica de limpieza de líquidos, aún no se almacenó fuera del sitio y el alcance de los clientes.

Hubby and I were feeling lazy so went in for a quick breakfast. He orders the big breakfast and I order the small one. I asked for extra mushrooms on the small breakfast but she said it came with them - it didn't. I also wanted a full fat coke, not diet, not coke zero but full fat and it isn't available on their machine which is a shame.

Visited with my mother, disabled brother and newborn baby. Found staff so friendly and helpful even offered to keep my food warm while I fed my daughter. Food reasonably priced and cafe very clean

I sometimes take a breather here after my shopping or if my husband is away with work. Its nothing to wrote home about but the prices are grand.

Popped into Morrison's in store café in Tiverton, Devon on way home from holiday for a breakfast. The service was first class as was the food. Well done everyone concerned.

Go here regularly with my family on a Sunday, for a cooked breakfast, it's so good. Takes a time, but that's because it's cooked fresh. My partner likes poached eggs and they always oblige. Love their sausage too.

We were in a hurry so thought this would be a good breakfast option as we also wanted to get petrol. Food took some time to come which probably meant it was cooked to order but result was just ok, we should have gone to McDonalds for quicker results. Place was not bad just not good if you're in a hurry!

Just a stop off on a long journey, so wanted something filling & hot. Usual Morrisons menu, but rather boring. Food cooked OK, but prices seem to have risen far above the value of the meals themselves. Good enough for a quick pass through stop off, but could be better.

My friend and I had a meal here mid afternoon, they had run out of fish so we chose scampi instead, and weren't disappointed. Didn't have to wait long, nicely served, hot and very good value. The kind waitress told us we could chose a sweet for a pound if we wanted one, of course we did. Again, I'm sure this sweet would have cost at least £4 in a restaurant or pub. It was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We will certainly head to Morrisons Café when we are in that area again.

This is one if the best supermarket cafes to use - regularly delivering good wholesome food at fair prices - I am unaware of anywhere else where one could get food of this quality, cooked to order, delivered to your table.

I've been here a few times since the place opened. The food is fine and varied. It also represents good value for money. The only gripe I have with this cafe is that they have got my order wrong twice. This is my reason for scoring three and not four...

Standard Cafe type food served in a clean and productive area with good seating and layout. A little pricey I thought but in fairness a varied menu allows choice and food portions are ample. Good work for a quick more healthy food option.

Took my kids here for Friday teatime. We had steak&ale; pie, chicken, macaroni cheese, plus drinks. There wasn't a huge variety of vegetarian options. The food was decent quality, nutritious, tasted good, and satisfied our hunger. Good value at £15.10 .

We were in the area and wanted a quick dinner before going to an event. I had chicken & ham pie with chips and peas +gravy and lemon tart with cream. My wife had gammon chips and peas with a fried egg. To drink we had mocha and cappuccino .Well laid out café. Service very friendly and attentive .Food surprisingly good both visually and flavorsome.
