Been eating in this cafe for few years and I'm sad to say the quality of food has greatly declined unlike the prices. I take my elderly mum shopping and she usually suggests we have lunch. She always chose Fish n Chips and has always enjoyed it, but lately the appearance leaves a lot to be desired, and the chips are always the same colour, and tasteless, leading me to believe they are " pre-cooked" and reheated, as is the gammon on the " New Menu " Fish n Chips, Gammon Egg n Chips plus 2 coffees. = £18 A local pub with the same food but 2 soft drinks = £18 The latter was 100% better than that of Morrisons!! Come on Morrisons pull your socks up.

Whilst attending Morrisons on 27th November 2022, my mother was intimidated by the security guard. We found that every aisle we went down he was there, following us. We appreciate that he's doing his job, however when we got to the self serve tills, we decided to stand at the bottom of the aisle opposite and stare at my mum. She asked him if he could stop and he proceeded to make hand gestures at her. She got more uncomfortable as he was just staring at her. I politely went over to a staff member who was called Bianca. I told her that her security guard is making us feel on ease and if you can tell him to leave my mother alone. She was extremely rude and dismissive. I got increasingly frustrated with Bianca because she was not understanding and was pinning the blame onto my mother. At this point another customer had noticed this security was making us feel uncomfortable and had expressed this to Bianca also. Bianca started getting extremely rude towards us. She asked my mother to hurry up scanning and leave. To which point, I said to her how dare she speak to my mother like that when all she was trying to do was tell you that she was upset. She then started to patronise my mother but telling her to calm down and leave him alone. I turned to her and said "Don't you make my mum out to be the cause, you have a duty to make sure your customers are comfortable and here you are here trying to usher us out of the store when all we was doing is expressing a concern to you and so have other customers and you choose to ignore all of this" All Bianca wanted to do was argue with us, she walked away and decided to come back and continue to be foul. Your staff member named Maya was absolutely lovely. She apologised on behalf of Morrisons that we felt like that and had a level of understanding. She took on board what we and the other couple had mentioned about the said Security guard and acted professional throughout, so thank you. I decided to come back to report this incident to her superior and as I got back in the store I catch her continuing to speak badly. This was the icing on the cake. I proceeded to report this behaviour to her senior and when I brought all of these points up she denied it all. I work in healthcare sector and I would never berate any of my patients for expressing their views. I have a duty to provide care for them and that includes people management skills, an element of deescalation and also being honest & understanding. Bianca lacked all of these skills and it is such a shame that one person can cause such a bad reputation on the company because everyone is always welcoming. Just a side note: My mother has been shopping in this store for 10+ years and never felt this way before, she is in good terms with a lot of the staff in this store.

Just had a bacon sandwich in Morrison’s cafe and the bacon was cold ! Ordered a roll but came as a sandwich in thick white bread . I politely asked if I could have brown bread instead, the lady was helpful but mentioned that they’re strict on waste . She changed the bread and bought the sandwich back and the bacon was cold ! I asked her to pop it in the microwave for me but it was still barely warm . No problem at all with the member of staff but I paid for hot food not cold food . This isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue and they’re obviously not interested. Never mind about waste , if you’re going to charge people to eat hot food then provide the service. I won’t bother anymore as it’s a waste of time and money .

Excellent staff (actually one young lady struggling to do everything on her own), but I was well looked after, and food arrived quickly. Enjoyable, no rush atmosphere with only a few people here. Everything looked and was fresh. Something a little different with Ciabatta bread for my bacon roll. The café looked well organised and up to Covid free standards. Very enjoyable.

Well done Morrison’s. Fantastic breakfast what a bargain. Staff so friendly and helpful, all COVID carried out perfectly. They certainly no what they are doing for the interest of their customers. Once again thank you will definitely be back.

Popped in for brunch at 11am this morning (Saturday) and it was probably one of the worst meals I have had here. Started with no coke and no milkshake available. Picked up cutlery to find it was filthy. There was actually still food on the ‘clean’ stuff. Reported this to staff who acknowledged with an ‘OK’… no thought of an apology. When our food was cooked, we could see it sat under the heat lamps for a good 5 mins while several members of the kitchen staff were chatting and one was cleaning tables. We only actually got our food because we went and pointed this out to the staff. As a result of this, the food was dried and overcooked. My wife had to request her eggs were replaced because they were so dry. Overall, the food was just acceptable, and staff did check back in with us after replacing the eggs. But I think we will be giving this cafe a miss in the future. Just to point out, the cafe was NOT busy. There were only two orders on the screen (one of which was ours)

Yesterday afternoon my wife and I visited the Morrisons In-Store Cafe in Abbeydale, Gloucester. My wife ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast and I ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast Bap. After a half-hour wait the breakfasts arrived. The Vegetarian Breakfast had no mushrooms included and only one egg and it was difficult to tell if it was poached or fried. It did appear to have a whole tin of baked beans on the plate, though, and two slices of toast rather than one. The Vegetarian Breakfast Bap was nothing of the sort as it contained meat sausages and bacon. This was taken back untouched and I re-ordered a Vegetarian Breakfast Bap. This duly appeared fifteen minutes later and I checked that it was vegetarian. However, there are supposed to be three Quorn sausages, there was one. No mushrooms, only half a tomato and what appeared to be the yolk of an egg with a small amount of white, again difficult to tell if it was poached or fried, there are supposed to be two whole eggs. Again, a whole tin of baked beans appeared to have been ladled onto the bap. This again was taken back untouched as it did not fit the description on the menu and I asked for a refund which was given. Another observation: the first knife and fork I picked up were encrusted with what appeared to be dried-on egg yolk and the mugs all appeared to have not been washed since last used. There was no decaffeinated black tea available. I don't know what was going on in the cafe today but it needs sorting out, lucky I'm not reporting this to Trading Standards and Environmental Health. I will not use Morrisons Cafe again and doubt that I will use Morrisons for any of my grocery shopping in future.
