Morrisons Bulwell Cafe in Nottingham

Shocking place to have food last time I ordered from here I had under cooked bacon I thought today 22/04/24 I'd give it another go and I wish I didn't bother me and the Mrs had burger and chips half way eating my burger found hair wrapped around my burger taken it back to the lady at the checkout and told her what I had found she was very apologetic and I had a full refund but clearly the igene is not up to standard here

Fatty bacon burnt sausage hash brown dry wasn't told no tomato didn't get offered alternative won't be coming here again slow service

Ordered breakfast and waited a long time for cold food and tepid coffee from the machine that was working intermittently .feel sorry for the staff as this used to so good.wont be going there again

Come on. You can do better than this. From the moment we arrived at our dirty table in the dirty restaurant, we should have known we were in the wrong place. The food is, what it is (cheap and cheerful-ish) but what stood out during our visit was how miserable, unhelpful and unwelcoming the staff were. It’s almost like they were trying to persuade us not to order any food. As we were greeted at the till, and before we’d opened our mouths we were warned in the sternest term that’s it’s “‘arf ‘our wait for food, mind!” There’s a way you treat customers who choose to spend money with you and it’s not by barking at them. Anyway. Sort it out Morrison’s. smiles and good customer service cost nothing. And you need to step up you cleanliness quite a lot!

I was a regular visitor to the café at Morrison’s until COVID hit and the menu changed and all the simple clean white pottery has been replaced with what can only be described as specially made bluey green matching sets reeking of expense. One of my favourites was the side salad, which consisted of a nice healthy bowl of mixed lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and a big dollop of coleslaw for 75pence. Perfect with one of the others dished like a toasted sandwich. Now you get a small finger bowl side serving if a few lettuce leaves and 2 halved cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of fried onions for £1.50 half the size for twice the price. I ordered toast and marmalade the other day I got one slice of bread and a pot of Marmalade for £1.75. When I pointed out the menu said 2 slices I was told it was a misprint and its only 1 slice in addition the toast was hardly toasted instead of a rich golden brown it was fish belly white. Poached eggs on toast, the toast comes without butter whereas before it was included and the gees have been pre poached and packaged to be warmed in store and invariably they are still cold inside. Also gone are the free refills of tea and coffee. Ok so some of the staff are helpful and nice you do get a few who are miserable and not exactly with it. Overall since COVID Morrison’s has gone out of its way to push customers away from the café with prices having increased so much it is no longer value for money.

First cafe I’ve visited since lockdown and it was so reassuring and a lovely experience. The staff are all so welcoming and really friendly. They are working so very hard to keep everyone looked after, lots of thought and care and it was so pleasant we returned today. Well done Bulwell Morrison’s Cafe. Doing a fab job in difficult times.

Hi well I have to say I was very disappointed in the breakfast I purchased for my family and me today 14/03/20 around 9.15am.I don't go out alot but my son and his partner along with my grandson wanted to take me out so we thought we'd have breakfast first.The food was only just warm and in parts cold ,Mushrooms cold beans cold fried bread was dripping in oil and a thick slice so wasn't crispy at all.The only thing that was hot were the sausages the hash browns on my daughter in laws were grey in side.The bacon was terrible and a funny looking colour so none of that was eaten by any of us.This cost 21 pound and was such a waist we could have purchased the food for less and cooked at home but we thought we'd have a treat.Please address this as I felt let down and again disappointed in morrisons. Look forward to hearing from you I am not one to complain but in this instance felt I needed to as we were out then for the day on very little food.Many thanks Mrs Jeanette Booth.

Food is very good make sure you get there early as dinners sell out fairly quickly staff are excellent and helpfull

This store has not got much items when I've been recently the store itself u can have a bike and ride around it as it's that empty and does not seem to have products on so many empty shelves plus there car park u used to have to wait to park up now sometimes u can have a football match on there extremely big car park plus prices on things have now gone up quite a bit

This large Morrisons has a great value cafe, very tidy and pride themselves in the food they serve. 2nd visit and both times pleased with service and foodi

the manager at bulwell store needs to speak to the staff in cafe very bad attitudes waiting an hour for food

I ordered a lunch time meal and a drink. I was charged for 2 meals, given an immediate refund however the wrong meal was cancelled in the kitchen. 20 minutes later a meal arrived, was sent back and I was told to wait another 15 minutes. No apology, no offer of a drink to replace my original drink which I had finished. Customer service varies between casual and non existent.

The selection wasn't great, the food was ok and I would have reviewed better if it weren't for the fact I had to wait over an hour before staff released I was still waiting for the sundae I had ordered very annoyed and won't be visiting again.

This is a busy shopping point locally set in Morrisons Supermarket. Food is fairly varied and attractively set out for self service, or cooked food is ordered and brought out. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The wait can be long at peak periods, but otherwise fairy prompt.

Came here for breakfast. very good price and staff were very friendly. The cafe as recentley had a makeover making it feel spacious and bright. The food served was very nice also.

Clean cafe,modern decore.hot drinks refillable. Ideal as hot food is brought.to you.a lot more relaxing,that way. Children eat free,after 3-30 weekdays.when 1adult meal to pay. Free WIFI perfect Will go again.

Morrisons use to be great value for money but it really leaves a lot to be desired these days. Today I had what should have been a salmon and cucumber sandwich, but was in fact salmon PASTE and cucumber for the same price. It was absolutely awful and made me feel sick. It should have stated salmon PASTE on the description. I complained to a member of staff in the cafe and also at customer service, but the attitude of these two members of staff left me with very little confidence that my complaint would be passed on. In the past I have given Morrisons five stars, but I am afraid that standards are seriously slipping, the staffs customer care leaves a lot to be desired and customers don't seem to come first anymore. Morrison's you have become just another mundane supermarket nothing special.

The cafe is really good and the food is amazing it’s got a party section in the shop and is amazing it’s got a free from section

reasonable cheap food can be a bit on the tepid side when very busy it's best to fairly early here as it does tend to get busy have a good selection of different meals and have offers on though out the year shop and eat and have a cuppa at the same time

It's needs more seating for pushchairs etc. The food is ok and the staff are always polite. Everywhere is clean.

Cheap and cheerful, not bad breakfast, reasonably priced, staff pleasant, quick service, considering staff few and far between.Also cafe refurbished and looking a lot better than previously did.

Using Morrisons as my primary food shopping supermarket I regularly use the cafe for either a breakfast or an early lunch, visiting this store which is well away from home I was surprised to find that the breakfast was cold with the egg baked hard from being under the heater lights for a considerable time

We often go to Morrisons for breakfast and have done now for several years. Sadly this is far from one of the best and today it was particularly poor.

I went to Bulwell Morrisons today and was very pleased to see that it's had a bit of a makeover.

We did not eat at our hotel in Nottingham because it was overpriced So we ate breakfast,lunch and dinner at the local Morrisons café.The food service was fast,meals were hot,tasty and reasonably priced.The staff were all approachable and nice.
