Morrisons in Worthing

We were going to eat in the cafe, but were put off by the number of uncleared tables. The whole place looked a mess! And it wasn't even a busy time! And the customer toilets ( at least in the gents ) were a disgrace. There was no toilet paper in the WCs, the one soap dispenser was empty and one of the two hand dryers wasn't working.

When will someone higher up take responsibility for this cafe? I didn't look at these reviews until going to post my one - the place needs a damn good clean and is not hygienic. The reviews have all been stating this for the last two years - what a sad representation of the Morrisons brand. Our breakfast was, actually, good value and tasty but the cafe itself very dirty. The hot drinks machines a disgrace - one not even working.

If you don't mind a long wait for your cold English Breakfast and like sharing your table with the debris from the previous occupant, then this is the place for you. Top Tip: If you plan to go shopping after and there are long queues at the check out, watch the clock. I copped a £60 parking ticket.

Just been to Morrison in Worthing for lunch, we had been before & really enjoyed it but not today. We ordered one full english breakfast & a chicken burger with chips. It took well over 20 minutes to arrive & my full english was at best luke warm but edible. My partner had the chicken burger with chips, the chips were fine but when he bit into the burger it was full of gristle & not cooked right through. It made him feel sick. We called over one of the table staff who immediately took it back & asked if we wanted another or a refund. We opted for the refund as he said he could not face another one after biting into the last one. My opinion of this store has gone right down now, we have had good food there before so what has happened to change it. All cooked food should be piping hot when brought to the table, not luke warm or still cold in the centre, especially chicken products. It will be some time before we go back again.

Having posted the above Review after an unpleasant experience some months ago, I had a Small Breakfast there today which was fine, hot with everything properly cooked. The place is still very grubby and service a bit slapdash but, for the price, perfectly ok.

Ate here today, food was good, well cooked, arrived piping hot & good value. We were served by Bradley who was very friendly, attentive & polite - a really lovely person to deal with! Thank you Bradley

Before lockdown I frequently went there for excellent baked potato with tuna mayonnaise (large hot potato/chunks of tuna with mayonnaise/large freshly-made side-salad). This time waited nearly 15mins for almost cold potato (didn't ask for replacement as time in carpark limited), tiny shreds of tuna in very unpleasant 'dressing' of some description which left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth and little pieces of tired lettuce with tomatoes. Vile and very disappointing as I'd really been looking forward to it - won't be going back

Went here the other day cafe was dead had to wait for 40 minutes for two full English breakfast wouldn't of minded if the entire meal wasn't stone cold. No black pudding was not told when ordering. Absolutely fifthly tables will not be going back there again would suggest avoid at all cost.

Have started coming to this cafe after parkrun on a Saturday. Was really quite pleasantly surprised, seemed clean staff were friendly and helpful price of breakfast is fair, my only criticism is that the food could be warmer/hot but at that price and being a supermarket cafe can not really complain hence still 4 out of 5 stars. Well done cafe staff.

I’ve eaten here in the past and the food has been reasonable. Today was my first meal here since lockdown restrictions were lifted. I had a small breakfast at £3.75. What a fantastic meal.

Was a spur of the moment stop here before we went home and so we ordered some food and drink. I don't really go to cafés but I'm so glad i came here, the food is lovely and the man clean the tables here (20/6/21)around 11-12 o clock is so lovely and very welcoming to us and other customers, they did a great job hiring someone like him!

The chips were over cooked and the oil tasted not at all good. The fish was ok. Complained to cafe staff and got £1.50 refund. Not going to Morrisons Cafe for a meal for a very long time if ever. Early morning at petrolstation a blond woman at the counter ask me very very rude where was my covering mask and i sayd i not wearing a mask because isa mandatory and not law. And she very rude put away the stuff i was piked from the shelf and refuse to serve tell me i was annoing her. This is absolutely disgusting beavior for a big company like morrisons this people have to be fired because make a bad looking the company.

Popped to the cafe on way home from short break to Worthing. Brilliant value for money coupled with hardworking polite friendly staff made for a really lovely breakfast. Highly recommended, well done to the staff working their socks off!

Staff are awfully mannered, lazy and are quite clearly did not know what they were doing. Not only in the cafe but also around the store itself. Although there were a few polite members who helped me find items. The majority of the staff were extremely rude, ignored me asking for help. Some of them would be arguing and messing around. Multiple items were also forgotten from my order. A member of staff also sat in the cafe for 1.5 hours which does not seem right to me. would not recommend in the slightest, will not be visiting again.

There was loads of items missing from breakfast even porridge. The breakfast really wasnt that nice. However brad the fella that brought over our breakfast was lovely and left us leaving in a good mood x

Popped into the cafe for their "Big Daddy Breakfast" last week. There was a Rugby World Cup promotion on where the breakfast was supposed to be £5 instead of £6. All three of us were charged the normal £6 for the breakfast. After a 30 minute wait, 2 of the breakfasts arrived, and after an additional 15-minute wait, the third one arrived. ALL of the breakfasts were missing the tomatoes, the mushrooms, an egg and a hashbrown. So not only were we charged full price, every single breakfast was missing 5 items!After a 45 minute wait, we decided to just be grateful with what we were given and get out as quickly as possible. Very disappointed, would not return.

We have always enjoyed going in to the café at Morrisons and having their fish and chips with a pot of tea. It is unbelievably good value and, more importantly, the fish and chips are consistently very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful even when they are dealing with difficult customers. The café is a great asset to the store.

We thought we would pop into the Morrison’s cafe for a quick bite to eat. Not that busy but the food took a while to come through. My scampi meal was good value for £5 and tasty . Cutlery could be cleaner however.The omelette that my daughter had, well not very tasty or appealing to look at. It was supposed to be a cheese and bacon omelette but literally a slice of cheese was thrown on it after cooking the omelette and a couple of rashers of bacon stuck on it too.Hoped for the cheese and bacon to be grated of sliced within the omelette but not blocks and slices stuck on it afterwards. Oh well,Know for next time.....

Cannot beat the cafe meal deal... 2 adults and 2 children eat and drink for £10... Fish and chips is excellent as a recommendation.. Staff always chirpy and willing to help.

Even the lighter breakfast was large and great value. Very tasty and served quickly. Clean tables . Problem with the self serve drinks machine today but between 4-£5 will fill you up. Great value

On visiting your restaurant as we have done for the last 3 week for breakfast being 5 of us, we will NOT be visiting again after we heard one of your kitchen staff say I SHOULD SPIT IN THIS, after someone took there food back for some reason not being one of us I may add. When we reported this we got told I am sorry they get a bit flappy as we don't have a manager in there. To me this is totally unacceptable and if we reported it to the environmental health I am sure they wouldn't take this lightly, this really needs looking at as its discusting If he says this how are we to know he does not do this.I hope this is dealt with as a matter of urgency, and I may add our custom will be going elsewhere

When very busy the atmosphere is very canteen like.hoever the quality and value of the food compensate for this.Layout improved since previous visit as the drinks severy that was slowing the check out till has been relocated.As a couple we did not enjoy any discount on this meal and so the prices are creeping up to match other fast food outlets.My strawberry sundae was semi-frozen and had ice particles in it but all were too busy to stop and mention this.Enjoyed the curry although the pitta was a challenge to chew. Wife thought her fish and chips very good value

Why are morrisons pledging to cut down their plastic waste when your cafe is using an OBSCENE volume of plastic. Even the milk is in plastic sachets. All of your sauces can be replaced by glass bottles and milk by bottles. Morrisons is showing a terrible example of unecessary plastic consumption.Get rid of the plastic cutlery as well.Shame on you.

We visited the cafe and was very pleased with the speed of service, quality of food and great prices.£12 gave us 2 x fish and chip meals with peas and yes, as much ketchup as you want ! ( not ww2 ration spoon servings in other places) along with 2 pots of tea.Friendly staff. Cheap as chips. Can’t go wrong here.

Brilliant value for a quick and convenient meal. Kids eat free with a paying adult main, drinks are cheap and the staff are brilliant.

Every Saturday I have a quick lunch at Morrison .

Not sure why it is, altho I'm sure management Do but the staff in this store are lacking in basic customer care. The girks behind the kiosk are particularly abrasive, rude and impatient. I have seen this numerous times as I take a disabled friend who wants to go to Morrison's for their products even tho she is treated like she is of no interest to them. I have seen it everytime we go and frankly given there's Waitrose and Lidl up the road where in both you are treated to a smile and courtesy I'm amazed Morrison's don't cotton on. Management need to sort it out.

Great customer restaurant with very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and prompt service most of the time, though it can get very busy and crowded on occasions.

Went for shopping today. Been told of that can not buy more than 4 in each item.as athey have new manager. i am a membership here. Always buy vegetable lots each time. Cause I have restaurant. Just wonder why they don't want to sell cause the more you sell the more new vegetable all the time. It's not a problem for me cause many store want customer like us. Just ashame that I've been thier customer since they open.

Found myself here to buy wines and spirits as they are good value but the timing meant I was hungry as it was 1pm. I had never eaten in Morrisons café but thought I would give it a go and what a surprise I got.

Such great value... Service is really good too, young lad at the counter has so much character. Food is alright for a supermarket restaurant as well! Well impressed.

Sorry guys but yuk and not one but two. To be fair they gave me a full refund but it has put me off going back. It's normally pretty good so shame

My kids like going here for lunch. I don't mind this because it's very good value for the price. The coffee is OK - but I've often had problems with food not coming out on time or the coffee machine being broken etc. What you have to remember is it's not really a restaurant - it's a supermarket!

Such a large, spacious, clean and tidy shop. Lay out is good and easy to find things. Always have things in stock which is great. Staff are always helpful and the car park is large. Their plants & flowers are stunning and cheap also!!!

I was doing my weekly shop at the local Morrison's, and happened to chance a glance at my mobile phone while I was in the cheese aisle. A notification from TripAdvisor informed me that other reviewers were passionately vocalising thier love for "Beans and fish" on their app, and here was TripAdvisor, inviting me to contribute towards this bleeding edge of discussion.

Popped in today for a do it yourself fresh salad really nice with plenty to choose from. Very much like a restaurant salad bar where you can create your own salad. I had a medium sized container for £2.50 plenty for just one person snack.

Went out for a meal with my Boyfriend and his brother we ordered our food and then we sat down and waited a further 45 minutes for our food to arrive and with that the food was lukewarm and not very nice and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Very poor service will not be returning ever again. Needs to be shut down the amount of rat droppings I saw.

We ordered two non meat breakfasts and at the time of waiting had been here 30 minutes and still not received our food. There was also about four other people in front of us. I'd say avoid this cafe if you don't fancy a long wait.

One modern lovely store wich is well-stocked with all you have need,prices are good.The staff is very kind,warm,helpful.I love this place.

Here's the place to do if you want cheap, wholesome and tasty food served by friendly staff and in reasonable comfort too.

School holidays, shopping with just me and the children. So we had breakfast in the cafe at Morrisons before embarking on our voyage of discovery and wonder!

Had salmon mash & peas. They had run out of dill sauce but offered to get from the supermarket a parsley sauce which was good. Had bread and butter pudding which was good, especially since the price was very reasonable

your money is better spent on one of their awful sandwiches than eating at the cafe, breakfast is usually served on a cold plate, so its already luke warm by the time it arrives. Awful, just plain awful.

Our usual shopping and dinner trip to Morrison's, well first time for dinner at the store for a few months.

2 adults eat and drink for £9, but it gets better - the children then eat free.

I have three Morrisons close by where I live as well as two Asdas and two Tesco's. The Worthing store has a good cafe but I had to miss out on the half price meat offer announced while have a cool drink on one visit..

What more do you want? The best and cheapest Fish and Meat in Worthing, and now they are taking on Lidl pricing for fruit and vegetables. OK, the cafe is not brilliant but what do you expect in a supermarket. Yes M&S; has better coffee, but the other supermarkets own brand cafe's are no better.

what can you say in a review about a supermarket? good prices, central location and it has a cafe. cant really think of anything else to say

It started something like 3pieces of bacon in a large delicious whole meal bun and it was not.It was 2 bits of rubber in a simple bap.The face on the elderly staff women made me feel bad for complaining and bought the same roll back saying there's 3 pieces in there now if you want to count them..The fact there was no sorry for her mistake made me feel sorry for my mistake thinking I would get good food from a supermarket cafe...Thanks morrisons for making me feel like crap on my one and only visit.....If u got nothing better to do customers count your bacon..All though it's a rubber slither u paid for what they advertised.......

When we shop at Morrison's as a family, we take the kids during the week to have a meal in the restaurant as it is current, 2 adult meals for £9 and then the kids eat free.

This is the place to for a quality breakfast. Easy to park, a roomy and clean place to sit and good food freshly cooked at a reasonable price.

A good well stocked shop with everything we needed. Not a bad location. Friendly staff. Lots of choice

We often have coffee and cake here if we've been in to shop and we sometimes just call in if we're passing. The coffee is excellent (make sure you buy it from the 'ground coffee' machine and not the 'instant' one!) and the cakes are lovely. Excellent value for money. We haven't had a meal but those we've seen being carried past all looked good - considering their prices. We used to go to a well-known coffee chain nearby but Morrisons prices and quality mean that we've now switched (and saved a fortune as well!)

Come on everyone, in this world, you get what you pay for. Our experiences at the Morrisons Cafe have been good and we will be going back in the future. To feed a family of 4, with my 2 now eating large portions, I have been getting mains, drinks, and some puddings for under £20, where else can you get that ? Ideal for low income parents and families. Friendly service, with the fish, absolutely fantastic. We've been more than happy with the quality of food, value and service. If you are picky on your food, then maybe this is not for you, however if you just want to be fed, with the quality and quantity of food in our opinion "doing the job", then this is the place for you. You could pay more for a "meal" at McDonalds, at that would only half fill you up. The experience at Morrisons Littlehampton was just as good also for information.

Personally I rate Morrisons as a GREAT supermarket with a wide spread of fresh produce. How an earth can they provide such a poor standard of food. For new comers the restaurant is enough to put their overall standard down a peg or two. The prices are good but you don't even feel as of your getting what you paid for, especially when it comes to the chips. Come on Morrisons sort it out!

Cafe has just opened in this branch of Morrison and we purchased two meals and you get two kids meal for free and whatever drinks all for £9.00 which was great value however the Kids meal was shocking the one we got that is, the chips were terrible and the burger in a bun was a disgrace as it was hard rubber overcooked and was not acceptable for animals and that was being offered to my children poor show Morrison and not a good start to your cafe but on a positive note the staff at the cafe was top draw and was so friendly and helpful I felt I didn`t want to complain, so alot of work to improve is needed.
