Morrisons in Craven

Ordered scrambled egg on toast and I was disgusting. The eggs were like rubber and it was left on the hot plate after cooking for 3-4 mins because nobody would pick it up and bring too us. The staff have no get up and go. They walk past dirty tables leaving used crockery on the table so nobody else can sit there. Worse cafe ever been in.

Shocked at the bad reviews as the food we had was lovely. However, they need to sort a few things out. Going back a few years, you got your own hot drink while in the queue so by the time you got to the till you were sorted. Not now !! you queue up, place your order and then join another, much longer, queue to get your chosen hot drink. I waited nearly fifteen minutes to get our three lattes !! it got to the stage were a waitress was walking around looking for our number, which was still on my tray, so had to go over and explain. A couple of elderly ladies were having trouble standing waiting for their drinks while also holding a tray, very poor. Also, how can a massive supermarket like this not be able to offer their customers the basic condiments ? my son had scampi and they had no tarter sauce ? what they mean is they had no cheap little sachets of the stuff as they've got hundreds of jars of the stuff on their own shelves.

Went here for lunch this afternoon with my Mum and Dad. Scampi was lovely but I was very disappointed when I was told that there was no tartare sauce available in the café.

Disgusting! Charged my friend twice for her meal brought and gave everyone a different drink as they didn’t have the one we wanted but didn’t put out of stock on the self order thing. My friend ordered loaded fries and it comes with a few chips in a soup of cheese sauce. All the food was cold and tasted bland and like cardboard. The staff was mimicking about us when we wasn’t looking calling us ignorant when all we wanted was our correct order. What a waste of our money. I would not go here again.

DISGUSTING, the worst breakfast we have eaten at a Morrison's cafe ever. We ordered 2 full breakfasts & tea & coffee, when it arrived the toast ( if you can call it toast ) was virtual white like normal bread, the mushrooms were like to pieces of shoe leather & the egg was very runny under cooked and snotty. I would not recommend eating in this place, when we complained to the lady she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. We paid £18 for this disgusting food that i wouldn't feed to a pig or a dog. AVOID

stopped here for snacks.refueled car,the fuel was£1.58 litre for unleaded,10p litre more than we paid 3 hours beforte in the midlands,looks like the north is overpriced on fuel?

Called her on friday , no cold sandwiches or kids drinks, sausage and mash and portion of chips, we had just sat down when it arrived, obviously microwaved when it came so quickly as mash had dried up parts and chips were warmed up and microwaved, tables were filthy and staff all miserable and slow and very unhelpful and clearly didn't enjoy being there, what a horrible place that is, definitely will NOT be returning to Skipton Morrisons cafe. Just popped in for a quick lunch I had the traditional fish and chips my wife went for a fish salad both were good nice fresh coffee and tea in a proper pot all very good. For a while it was a bit average but has picked up again

The food was ok but the self selection of mugs exposed stains lipstick marks and tide marks and the crockery felt gritty and unclean. It is like they run them through a dishwasher without detergent or rinse-aid and re-use dirty water !

Called for Breakfast (1 Small Breakfast and 1 Bacon Bap). The staff were slovenly and surly - not interested in customer service (I couldn't image why they were doing the jobs they were doing). When I commented the tray that was going to be used for my order was covered in 'liquids' from it's previous use and should be cleaned, I was met by a look that said "That's normal - take it or leave it". The cutlery was not cleaned properly and there were no napkins in the dispenser. Finding a clean, cleared table was a problem and our shoes stuck to the floor due to it needing cleaning properly. The food was just acceptable but nothing else. I am surprised a company such as Morrisons allow such a situation to continue, but reading other reviews it seems they do - and don't care. We will not return and advise others to avoid. Disgraceful!

Nice place to eat but staff slow and disengaged. Not sure if they would notice if a nuclear explosion went off. Food very average. Had to ask for a knife as there were none. Went to get breakfast from Morrisons the cafe stuck of poo it was so strong wasn’t the most pleasant smell it was strong and off putting The food wasn’t good either the amount of money we paid for it Customer service was slow Won’t be coming back again !!

Very pleasant bright informal dining experience. Three quality generous breakfasts. X1 traditional , 2 more trendy smashed. Avocado/ poached egg on lovely toast Excellent value & quality products. My only issue was that apart from the chef & 1 young man on the service area . Other staff seemed disinterested and regrettably appeared inefficient maybe still in training ??? That said it did not takeaway from our overall customer experience/ satisfaction . Would recommend & visit again . Many thanks

Me and my husband decided to go for breakfast as it was New years day. No black pudding, no mushrooms. Why when they are in a supermarket is beyond belief really. My beans were dry,the whole breakfast was very disappointing. We used to go every Sunday and it was lovely. Now I find that is has really gone down hill. Under staffed and poor food quality. It's a real shame. We wont be going again.

Cheap ( and cheerful) The breakfast I has was big, but pilled high on a small plate, which made it difficult to eat. The black pudding was dry and the beans flattened into the soggy fried bread. I wanted some jam for my 'extra' toast but they could only offer honey

I think the title of my review sums it up really - I thought this was an average supermarket cafe. I actually came here twice during my stay in town as I was doing some shopping in the store. It is good to have a cafe in the store (and toilets!) and they serve a good range of casual dishes, sandwiches, potatoes and so on. I had to wait quite a while for service and some tables had not been cleaned. Food was OK and coffee reasonable but not the best in town.

I use the Skipton Barista Bar on a regular basis, any delays don’t bother me as I have plenty of time, but it is the girls I feel sorry for, they prepare snacks and drinks, clean, clear tables and wash crockery etc, they do a great job but it is too much for one person, as I sit there I see what’s going on and a lot of customers are not prepared to wait, if it is not possible to have two members of staff all the time surely it can be arranged that every hour somebody gives assistance for ten minutes or so just to clear tables and clean and stack the crockery.

Had breakfast at Morrison's cafe this morning. Ordered small breakfast with a poached egg. Bacon cold and under cooked, hash browns, sausage, tons and beans lukewarm at best. Poached egg half cooked and cold in inside. This was 8.30 in the morning should be hot at this time surely.

We as a family have been using Morrisons cafe's for several years, and no matter which store, and in which town you go into, they still manage to mix your orders up, and please tell me why, when there are shelves and shelves of foodstuff's in the store, do they run out of Mushy peas and other items etc. We have experienced this from as far as Redcar, Ripon, Boroughbridge, need I go on. Come on Morrisons get your act together and educate your cafe staff much better, finally I would like to add that your computer system on the till for taking orders is very user unfriendly if you wish to deviate from the standard menu, i.e No Yorkshire Pudding but and an extra sausage or No chips but Mashed Potatoes instead, get your IT people looking at the system.The meals serve a purpose at a price and you get what you pay for, well sometimes you do, if you are lucky.Morrisons Cafe/Restaurants could be much, much better and they should strive to do so.

All staff are helpful and polite except in the hot food to go also caff is a bit slow but have great prices with good staff

We called in here a couple of times , parking can get very busy but inside the layout is quite spacious with lots of choices at a reasonable price . be aware of the three hour limit on parking , they have cameras and they will know if you overstay

Called for breakfast in the nice new "done up" cafe, but, that really was the best bit of it. Ordered the big daddy breakfast that they do, was asked if wanted scrambled or fried egg, was asked if wanted toast with that, said yes then I read the board and instead of £1 for toast with it you could pay £1.50 and get orange juice and toast so I asked for that instead, she argued we couldn't have that with this breakfast, I advised the board said you could (it was printed under the breakfast name saying it was extra) and she said no, that was the other breakfast - yes it did say it on the other breakfast too - eventually she decided she would ask advice about this and was told that yes I was right and it did apply to this breakfast too, so instead of changing the order she cancelled it and started again! problem with this was it had been all of a few minutes and she couldn't remember what the order was then, so we had to start again and she couldn't remember we wanted scrambled not fried eggs! Then it came to my breakfast, I wanted a well done bacon sandwich with hash browns on white teacake, and two coffees for us both. Well, what else could go wrong do you think! Sat and waited for it to come, big daddy breakfast was fine, but, the well done bacon sandwich had nearly uncooked bacon in it, full of fat and stone cold, I was going to pull it to bits and just eat what I could but hubby decided to take it back and get it put right, apparently she had put through just as normal (no comment about wanting it well done) but that didn't account for it being cold! Anyway, they obviously cooked the bacon more and I presume were making a point when it came back, crisp and black in places - well overdone - which to tell the honest truth is just how I like it so if they thought that would teach me for complaining it backfired. Coffees were Cappuccino's out of the machines and were in themselves only tepid and not piping hot but suppose that is the price you pay for them using those machines really. It wasn't particularly cheap either £14.10 is in my mind very expensive for a "cheap supermarket breakfast" and it wasn't just us, a friend who we saw there by chance agreed it wasn't worth the money and that the woman who served us was not the "best for the job". I think that it will be a "big swerve" away if we even go to Skipton Morrisons again, and definitely not to the cafe, "once bitten twice shy" comes to mind.

Superb value for money when visiting for breakfast. Three of us called in and were treated to a tremendous choice, from gigantic full English to any other choice you preferred .Staff exceedingly friendly and helpful and a nice restaurant environment . Well done.

Shocking service had huge issues with an item I sent an email to the manager and a letter to head office didn't even get a reply. Avoid this store the clowns who work there couldn't run a bath never mind a business

Waited over 30 minutes for 2 jacket potatoes. Don't waste your time, plenty of other people were complaining about the wait on their food also.

Great friendly service from all staff. Great coffee, always piping hot. Can be a bit slow at times when it's busy but they need an extra person in really. Can't fault it.

Waited half an hour for the order which would have been ok but half the order was wrong. Paid extra for sweet potato fries and bbq sauce on two meals. Apparently they had no seeet potato fries so just brought us chips hoping we wouldn’t notice. When I asked they said we’ve run out and you can get your own bbq sauce with the free condiments. Chicken burger was way over cooked and cold. Sorry Morrison’s we won’t be coming back!

The hygiene levels at this place are shocking!!! First of all I witnessed a member of staff carrying frozen pies And other items of food from the hot counter to the cafe! None of the items of food were covered, the person carrying the food had a FILTHY overall on and looked as if she hadn’t washed in days! No hair net or hat! At that point I decided AGAINST my sit down brew in the cafe! My son needed the toilet! When entering the female toilets it absolutely STANK of poo, the floor was drenched, in the toilet stall I attempted to take my son inside had poo on the floor and all over the seat! I took him to the stall next door and there was an actual turd in the toilet! As my son was desperate for the toilet I opened the last door to find a urine drenched floor and toilet seat!!! I cleaned it best I could with NO toilet paper in any of the stalls! After washing my hands and my poor child’s hands we left feeling ill! Sack your cleaners because they can’t clean!!!!!!!!

Two bowls of soup, nothing else, brilliant value for a total of £2. A wait of 10 to 15 minutes seemed not so bad...however 25 minutes later the soup had not arrived. The soup only arrived after prompting a member of staff. When it arrived on had croutons on and the other did not, as I said to the girl at the time, after 25 minutes, we really didn't care!

Traveling south to Suffolk we called for breakfast, ordering food and not quite sure what was on offer, menu on the wall but quite high up on the wall. The lady on the till was snappy, sharp and very rude. Her attitude was very aggressive and in need of some staff training in customer care, it costs nothing to be civil.

9.15am Mon morning you,d expect the tables & chairs to be clean before the place got busy - not so.Very pleasant lady on the till.Little choice of food on counter.Coffee dispensed through machine not hot enough.Comfy chairs at bottom end of cafe are dirty & tables are sticky.You really expect better of such a large company.

The Morrison's Café is well presented and was clean at the time I visited, though this was 9am on a Wednesday.

Service slow, only mid afternoon but had run out of several drinks, understaffed so tables and side of counter not cleared.

Average food, decent seating area, pretty good service all round, okay value for money. Friendly staff.

We are regular visitors to our local Morrisons cafe in Yeadon and in Guiseley. The quality of service and food is good. On New Years day we had a trip to Skipton and in the past have enjoyed a snack in the cafe. We found that the cafe had been re-vamped and didn't have the comfort and attractiveness of the old one. Then the real disaster was yet to come. We queued behind a lady who asked for a jacket potato with tuna... they said they had no tuna.... oh come on, we saw shelves stacked with the stuff. The lad on the till then handed her coffee cups by holding the rim of the cup. Not very hygienic. He gave us our number card which looked as if someone had eaten there dinner off it, this was mentioned to the girl who served our lunch and suggested that it should be cleaned, she just threw it back in the pile. We went to get cutlery... no forks, no teaspoons, no knives.... by the time we got our meal we had drunk our coffee or it would have been cold. The food looked like it had been piled on to The plate without any thought to presentation. The staff were very young, so I dont blame them, I blame very poor training, or maybe no training at all. You won't be seeing us there again, unless things improve.

The best supermarket in Skipton. Way better than Tesco. Sensible parking arrangements and restrictions, adequate shopping trollies, wide enough aisles, well-staffed checkouts. The recent revamp to include upright chiller cabinets took some getting used to by us fans, but is brill. So much easier to see what's available. Well done.

What a dreadful mess they have made of a once efficient is shabby cafe. After waiting in a queue for an overworked member of staff takes orders and dispenses empty teapots, coffee cups and cardboard cups for cold drinks , takes money and explains to the customers how to get their drinks at another station and collect cutlery etc at yet another, ( there was no knives or serviettes) and then begins the hunt for a table in a cafe that has chairs more fitting for a children's nursery and tables too small for two people. The wait again for food was in excess of 25 minutes, and when mine arrived I had a piece of over fried fish, nine chips and some green sludge. A small cardboard cup of cola that cost £1.30 made my bill £5.30...,and a trolley was pushed up against my table where dirty trays full of uneaten food and dirty plates were slotted..Fed up customers being helped by fed up staff in an awful cafe... Will go to Bizzy Lizzies next time!

Popped into Skipton for our weekly shop. Around lunch time so decided to try out the 'new' café in Morrisons as we were there for our groceries.

The main cafe was repositioned & refurbished a short while ago - it's very poor: smaller, cramped, with a v badly designed serving area & till.Queues rapidly build up even outside lunchtime & spill out into the busy adjacent aisle.

Visited Thursday 21 September 2017, who designed this Cafe? long queue at very short counter ordered food 20 min wait for a toastie and cold chips that I didn't ask for but watching the comedy act by the staff passed the time. Sorry Morrisons won't be back, ever.

Popped in for lunch before doing my shopping ...never again!

We visited the cafe today for the first time in quite a while and couldn't believe how badly this has been designed. You pick up your sandwich or whatever but with nowhere to support your tray. You then have to carry it to a small counter area where again there in nowhere to support a tray! What if you are unsteady on your legs or have difficulty walking. No regard for you at all. We chose three sandwiches and a panini but were told it would be at least a 20 minute wait to heat it up. Unbelievable. So gave up on that one.

Went this luchtime, encountered the new cafe set up, and it doesn't work.

decided to visit as it was close to the station, have loved the old café spent a lot of time there and everthing was fine, but the new refurbished one feels cramped the counter are is poorly thought out fridges at one side tills at other we picked sandwiches (that turned out to be wrong were labelled wrong) then crossed over to get kids meal had to keep crossing back over for the fridge for kids meal deal to find half items unavailable and unsure which things were included. Then trays were provided right next to the tills, everything seems to be poorly thought out. Then when we got to the till, we were told there would be a 20 min wait and the meal I was ordering had no options in the menu but was asked 30 questions at the till, I had to keep going back to ask about as we hadn't expected them, staff seemed annoyed and there was a strong smell of the fish counter whilst eating, cant say ill be back in a hurry.

Just been to Skipton stores refurbished cafe it's a total joke ten queuing when only two customers in front of us, and it was not them that was causing the wait it was the lady on the till who in her words had only been there three weeks, when finally got served and sat down waiting for our meals only two was brought and no bread and butter plus a meal short that the till girl had missed putting in the till, if I had known that we had to check the receipt I would have, maybe a sign saying please check your bill would be appropriate. Plus the meal was terrible and ended up leaving it. NEVER AGAIN.

After we had shopped at this store, we decide to have lunch in the cafe. On arrival at the counter we awas told that there would be at least 25 minute wait for any hot food and the jacket potatoes we had requested we no longer on the menu. The cafe was only half full and it was only 12-20 lunchtime. How can a store the size of Morrisons runout of jacket potatoes when there's hundreds for sale in the food store and why the 25 wait? The cafe is a joke. We left and went to Wetherspoons, Devonshire Arms and got our J/Potatoes served with in 10 mins. Don't use this cafe its rubbish.

I like it at the end of the day when they put all the cookies and donuts on sale, last time I bought donuts for 22p and popcorn for 52p and sat in the bus pen waiting for my bus as it was a sunday and skipton-keighley buses come every hour after 4 oclock. Might have looked a bit sad to passers by but atleast I had some nice jammy donuts!

i came in a couple of days ago to buy some of your garlic dough balls for a date i was later catering for. he got to my house and did not take his shoes off which very much annoyed me and i had just licked up all the dirt off my carpet. i tried to give him a cheeky snog after we ate the dough balls when he then pied me off because apparently i had bad breath. i just wanted to KO him, the noob. but to be honest i enjoyed your special balls. and you helped me a lot as he was ugly and smelt like wet camel

The plates and cuttlery and cups all dmelled like wet dog. We both had to leave all our food it was awfull .dirty tables all over one old guy watering with his belly out waste of time and money awfullWe go to a few other mortisins cafes and there much better and cleaner.buck yr game up !

Can't go wrong with Morrisons Cafes (which are found in most stores) and this is no exception. Medical issues compel us to eat carefully and there's always something suitable no matter which Morrisons you visit. Their cafes are always clean, spacious, with a good choice of hot or cold meals at very reasonable prices. Parking is never a problem - and you can do your shopping as well!

I have visited the cafe on more than one occasion and although the service is extremely good, the food is rather disappointing. Although having had a breakfast previously, the eggs are overcooked and the chips are tasteless. It's a shame that their salads arent more inviting as it would encourage people to eat more healthy. The tables and stands were unclean and really need to be cleaned more often. The cafe was very quiet so it would have given them a chance to give the tables a good clean. There was also a lot of food thrown on the floor which too hadn't been cleared up.

Sunday lunchtime meet up with friends. We decided upon Morrisons as parking in Skipton was chockablock and we could claim our parking fee back if we ate or bought something in the store. The persons at order point and till were hard work, not explaining things too well. My wife and I chose the roast chicken dinner and, in all truth, we were amazed at how much chicken we got for a fiver, and it looked and tasted good. But ....... The mash potatoes were bland (possibly powdered), the veg was tasteless and probably came out of a can and the roast potatoes were leathery as if they'd been hanging around in a warm place for too long.Meanwhile, our friends went for Scampi and Chips. They eat frequently at their local Morrisons (not Skipton) and get large portions so they opted for a small portion. But four or five pieces and half a dozen chips didn't really fill the small plate and they rated it poor value.All in all, not a happy meal at all.

Very poor food, been to the cafe 2 times now, first time with partner and daughter and food quality was very bad. Thought we would give this another go as it's ideal to get my daughter something to eat before/ after shopping. Also it's quite cheap and has good deals on. On the down side the all day breakfast is the worst I've ever had. Everthing is dry and looks like the hole plate has been microwaved. Then recently had to complain about the actual store as the mince beef was defrosted in there freezers. About 8 bags off it, mentioned to a member of staff who done nothing about it obviously as 20 mins later when I walked past same products they where still there all mushy in the bags. Defo thing the Heath environment officers would have something nice to say, let's hope they get this sorted before I go back in there

Good basic food served quickly. Recently upgraded accommodation. Friendly staff. All day breakfast including veggie. Reasonable prices.

We used the Morrisons cafe to hold a business meeting (plenty of coffee and food). We were looking at Skipton as a possible place to open a business. Food was good, coffee well priced. 2 weeks later we get a parking ticket for £50. I will now never shop at Morrisons again and we are now looking at Burnley as a preferred location.

Hi there. This is my first visit to your supermarket. Your cashier threw our strawberries, tomatoes and other stuff out of the basket and pointed to our basket and asked us to put it away. I was utterly shocked by this rude gesture. She could have told us what to do. I stood there dumbfounded while my husband packed our stuff. I observed that she was kind to the customers after us. I hope this is not because we are foreigners. I have been to many countries. And this is the first place that threw my items out of the basket.There are many stores in Skipton. People, you can jolly well avoid Morrison.Nevertheless. The people at the cafe are nice and kind. You can visit the cafe for meals. And meals only.

Morrisons is very consistent with its cafés within the supermarket. Pots of tea with a tea bag and coffee from a self serve machine. Good value basic food. I will often eat or have a cuppa at a Morrisons Café

Morrisons at Skipton, is: something else: lovely clean place to shop and all the fresh veg and fruit you could wish for . the veg is kept very fresh with a lite spraying, with a mist every so often bread is always good and fresh and many different kinds to choose from overall you can buy almost everthing you want without going else where I love to shop here .

I've been robbed! The fizzy pop was flat! The baked potato was hard. Payed extra for cheese on the burger which we didn't get, salad wilted. The breakfast was average at best. The staff all looked miserable.Won't be eating in this establishment again...

what a great place for a breakfast, if leaving the area early morning, great choice at a unbelievable price, very clean and well run, breakfast arrived freshly cooked and very hot, good cup of tea too

Hot food served quickly in a bright but noisy environment. Perfect for a no frills quick meal or snack so that you can get on with your shopping. Good value for money

Diane & I visited for breakfast 20-12-2014 and were quickly served generously proportioned and tasty snacks, washed down with quality drinks, all at very reasonable cost. An ideal way to start a day of serious shopping!
