Made a special visit to come here, was not worth it! Dirty and empty shelves! No bread and cakes as advertised! I wouldn’t exactly call two picnic benches a cafe especially being along side pet food! Do not be fooled by the photos!

Cheap bacon sold at premium price very watery when fried and everything in here seems very expensive compared to elsewhere

Visited On a Tuesday for breakfast only to find food only served at weekend, but Manager went beyond duty and cooked us a full English breakfast which was delicious. Thank you very much

we have started to use The Moody Cow Farm shop since their opening in November to get Gluten Free products, they are very knowledgeable regarding the need for no cross-contamination. the gluten free sausages are the best we have ever tried and an absolute treat the staff are welcoming and happy to take orders for gluten free products (on their specific kitchen gluten free days) the gluten free panko scotch eggs are insane!! as anyone who is coeliac or gluten intolerant will know good scotch eggs are almost impossible to find. we have also tried some of the Gluten Free pies here which are incredible, so tasty and no risk of gluten easy to get to and ample parking, a real jewel in the forest, stocking only local foods and supporting the forest industry

Had a brilliant bacon sandwich earlier today from the shop, really friendly inviting place and the owner knows what he is on about. Nice to see someone with a bit of passion on what they do.

I'd rang in the week before the Saturday (19th Oct) lunchtime, and pre-booked a table for our party of 13, and I said we needed 2 high-chairs. (How nice it was to ring and book a table verbally, instead of booking on-line.) On the day, we arrived to find 3 tables pushed together for us, and all was good, though no high-chairs, which the staff member got sorted fast. We arrived in a bit of a disjointed way (an initial 5, then a 3, then a 5), but this caused no problem, and we had drinks on tab. Our meal experience was really very good, with good attention by all staff (at bar and at table). The food (we had main and dessert) came in good time, and it was delicious. All in our party thought their main course was excellent, being really flavoursome. I had the cottage pie, it was delightful, as was my partner's pork rump steak. Yes, prices were a couple of pounds more per plate for mains, but definitely worth it. At no time were we hurried along, or unduly hassled, and we ended up spending much of a great Saturday afternoon there. Our 7yo in the party enjoyed the wooden play apparatus outside, and I loved the Exmoor ales! Lastly, how refreshing to have no service charge automatically added, and allow customers to decide. We'd never eaten there before, but we will again!

The nicest people ever!! My car got a flat tire and I went into the pub to get wifi to find help. Everyone there was so sweet, friendly and helpful! If I lived here, I’d go there everyday! The owners were so kind and even the other patrons were very friendly! Will go for lunch or dinner.
