Had a fabulous meal tonight. The staff were helpful and made a bespoke dish ! Raj served and our food was tasty and full of flavour. Great value for money and we were allowed to bring our own alcohol I will be returning and highly recommend

We were lucky enough to get a walk in to dine in & I’m glad we did. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful & the food was equally as good. For our mains we had the chicken tikka masala and the lamb garlic chilli. Very impressed with the quality and flavours.

Was visiting Filey for joint birthday celebrations with my family. We all ordered from the takeaway which seemed to be ready pretty quick, we collected within 30 minutes, 2 starts, 8 mains, 7 sides and 5 nan breads. Everyone seemed happy with their food but I wasent too pleased with my Chicken tikka Madra. The chicken was sliced which seemed to be what you would buy from a supermarket in the precooked and flavoured packets. The madras didn't really have much flavour just spicy and no hint of Tikka

Didn't know what to expect being first time but was really pleased , the tikka masala and everything else good quality better than my local tbh excellent .🙂

A great Indian Restaurant! Food was lovely. One of the best Indians I’ve had. The restaurant isn’t massive but I believe it’s a perfect size. It was busy so I would book! It’s a chill vibe and it’s BYO alcohol which is great! The staff are friendly and helpful. Great customer service.

Ordered Friday 26th of January, £193 order, pickle trays x3 2 pots were chutney the rest mint, Chick madras very very hot, had alot better Indian takeaway, disappointing

We used to go here every time we stayed at Filey but will not be making this mistake again! First impressions, the restaurant was very rowdy with no atmosphere, no music. Service was very attentive, constantly asking if everything was OK, it was also very rushed. We were informed after ordering poppadums that they didn't serve alcohol only alcohol free drinks. Yet again disappointing because we like a bottle of wine with our meal. There was no mention of this when we booked our table but their online menu displays wines, beers and other alcoholic beverages. The poppadums were cold, chutneys were really bland. We had a chicken balti and a chicken pathia with Bombay aloo, pilau rice and garlic bread The balti chicken was hard and chewy, I don't think the chicken in the pathia was breast meat, I'm sure it was thigh..... Same again chewy and hard. Both sauces were bland and were not authentic at all. Onions and peppers were still raw. Bombay aloo, rice and naan were really nice. Came to £42, felt ripped off if I'm honest. The restaurant was cold and just had a fan heater which didn't suffice with the door being constantly opened and closed. Loads of people kept queueing for takeaway orders next us, some of which were drunk. What happened to covid awareness? Staff were cleaning tables regularly but we're sweeping the floors while people were eating. Sorry, not impressed.

This restaurant offers some of the best Indian cuisine I have eaten in Yorkshire. I am vegetarian, my husband is not, and we both agree that their food is excellent. To our delight, they are always prepared to adapt dishes to the customers' tastes. For vegetarians, I especially recommend their aubergine dish; my husband could not name one favourite, as he is so spoilt for choice, and some of the best dishes were waiter recommendations, rather than being on the menu. Excellent service and outstandingly good food. Bring your own drinks, or try something from their extensive menu of non-alcoholic ones.

While on holiday in Filey, we ordered our meals over the phone and given a time it would be ready to collect, it was as they said, it was ready and everything was very nice and still hot ready for eating.

Ordered a takeaway while staying at The bay Filey Resort. Ordered 5 meals and sides and all came and all came nice and hot. All commented how it was the best Indian takeaway we’ve had. Please come open a restaurant in York!

Our Christmas Day dinner at Monsoon Indian Cuisine in Filey was spectacular. Booking in advance was a breeze, with their team responding promptly to our queries. The staff's attention, especially towards the youngest member of our party who desired chicken nuggets, was heartwarming. Each dish served was a masterpiece, reflecting the exceptional quality of the cuisine. The generous portion sizes, coupled with a great selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, made our experience memorable. It's unanimous amongst our family - Monsoon Indian Cuisine is the best Indian restaurant we've ever visited.

While staying near Filey we got a takeaway from here, portions are not large , but we're very tasty , we will be visiting again. If your thinking of eating in the restaurant is very small , with tables close together , so you may be better having a look first

I tired the lamb shank bone in curry. I asked for it vindaloo hot. The lamb melted away, the sauce was super hot ( just what I wanted ) and the flavour was on point. I moved to east Yorkshire from London and honestly this is one of the only curry houses in the area that can compare. Amazing food and service.

Food was absolutely delicious. Take away arrived on time. The rezala and butter chicken we're particularly exceptional too. Definitely a step above tour regular Indian takeaway . The chicken was really nice and not overcooked like usual. Very good spice level too. Best curry we've had in years.

I have been here with my husband once before about a year ago and we have just spent a couple of days in Filey so needed to go again. The staff were very helpful and I think we had the Mixed Meat Balti with rice which was lovely. It is the nicest Indian meal I've had for ages. I look forward to going back to Filey and The Monsoon again.

Amazing food and service; I'm almost certain I had the best butter chicken of my entire life! The staff is very friendly and attentive, our waiter recommended something special for my partner and he loved it.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered to a local caravan park. Food arrived when stated. Very friendly staff on the phone. Delivery driver very cheerful and friendly. Food quality was outstanding.

Called yesterday evening for dinner. Staff were very helpful and polite and friendly. Food was well cooked and decent portions. The prawn chat puree and chicken khorai very tasty and flavourful. Would recommend if you are in the area. Make sure you book well ahead.

By far the best curry I've ever had. Our waiter made some recommendations based on what we were going to order originally and I'm so glad he did as the curry's we had wet absolutely outstanding. It was just so tasty!

The minute we arrived, we knew we were in for something special - which was great as it was my birthday! Ask the door opened we were enveloped in the most voluptuous oriental smells of fine cuisine - and our welcome was as warm as the curries! Our waiter offered his best advice on the heat of the spicy dishes and we trusted him, ordering exactly what he suggested. Wow! The most delicious banquet followed! Dishes we'd never tried before but will do again. The restaurant was comfortable, the decor modern and clean and the overall service exceptional. Even the prices were 'not too spicy!' When we return to Filey, this place is top o' the lis!

I was a little bit worried looking at some of the reviews, but so glad we ordered from here. We had the Lamb Shank Bhuna, it melted in the mouth and was one of the best Curry's I've had. It was all good, just wished I lived here, I'd use it all the time.

Lovely restaraunt, lovely staff, lovely food

Simply amazing. Went Wednesday 27th September with a neighbour. The food was so tasty. We had the mixed platter for 2. Simply out of this world. I had the lamb shank Bhuna. I asked one of guys what he would recommend as a side. What can I say, an absolute taste sensation. Only trouble is I can’t remember what he recommended for the side. So tasty that we have booked again to go tomorrow night,3rd October. My neighbour had the rogan josh and was blown away by the taste and quality of the ingredients. The guys are really friendly and more than willing to recommend a dish that they believe you will enjoy if you tell them your preferences.so glad we live in Filey. We are both elderly and are only just dipping our toe into the world of Indian food. What can I say, we are hooked. This place is amazing and so clean. See you tomorrow guys

Fileys best kept secret, wonderful service and food ,quick service. We went a 5 pm and it quickly filled so booking is essential. Takeaway is available.

We visited Filey on a Monday staying at a nearby campsite. Some sit in pubs and restaurants are closed for food. So we decided on a takeaway back at base. This turned out to be a good idea as we really enjoyed some very good food.

I've been to Monsoon now about 6 times, and it never disappoints! Rash always give me fantastic recommendations, tonight I had a dish that wasn't even on the menu! He described to the chef what I like (I'm not fussy) , and he made me a yummy dish that I would definitely order again. Would highly recommend a visit to Monsoon when ever you're in Filey x

First and last time for me, friends visiting Filey so we decided to try Monsoon for a take away curry, having seen good reviews, but what a disappointment, my partner and I had the had the chicken Jalfrezi, the chicken was so tough I couldn’t eat it, we both thought the same, and not cheap either. Will never have a curry here again.

3rd timing visiting. Wonderful meal every time. Quick service and food hot and fresh. Wonderful. Always worth a visit when in Filey.

I have had takeaways from monsoon for years when near Filey, I can honestly say it has gone from the best Indian around to last nights food which was without a doubt the worst Indian I have ever had. Naan was cold and chewy chicken so chewy was inedible, chips cold and hardly cooked chicken chat inedible, sauces would give a 3 out of 10. Had 3 mouthfuls and binned the lot. £30 in the bin. So disappointed

Very disappointed bhargi starter tiny like golf balls Vegetables garlic curry no garlic at all and very greasy. Chicken jalfrazi very very hot far too spicy with sliced chicken not pieces again very oily.and small portions of rice and couldn’t taste any garlic in the Nan bread.not worth £34.it’s a shame I think it’s changed hands last time we went was really good

We had a lovely meal at Monsoon as we always do. But when we considered our bill we thought we had been charged too much. £101 for 4 people, 2 of which were children and had half portions thought it was a bit steep and maybe didn’t check the bill as stringently as we should. Due to this it may question us going back again. However lovely food and service

We chose the Monsoon restaurant due to the good reviews… although our takeaway was ready to collect… we were a little unimpressed by the flavour of the food… it didn’t stand out and had no depth of flavour. The pickle tray was poor… no lime...

Ordered chicken tikka madras last night got back to holiday home and it was chicken massala couldn't be bothered to go back so tried it it was awful sauce was really thick chicken was dry and chewey it went in bin .

Excellent little Indian restaurant, fairly priced but excellent quality of service and food. Thank you for the staff curry Hanndi Lamb. The flavours were very smooth, lightly spiced, not hot but gentle, but the lamb was so very, very tender. Punjabi Chips made an unusual but very nice accompanying side dish. 10 / 10 from me Thank you.

The service was excellent- efficient and friendly. We wanted two items not on the menu, and they were happy to oblige. The portion sizes are obviously for Yorkshire appetites. Menu interesting. Cooking excellent and very tasty. Recommended.

Great food - small restaurant so can seem a little noisy at times - suggest booking so you know your get in. If local take away delivery is a great addition

The worse ever Asian food I had in my life , I ordered food they charged me almost double the food was extremely spicy full of raw tomatoes and onions on top of that the food was burnt.. I will never order from this place again avoid it ..

Great curry house in the centre of Filey. Always busy but not overcrowded. Clean and well spaced tables. Prompt service and great range of curries, all served piping hot. Good value too.

I enjoyed this restaurant with my wife that I went twice on my holiday. The food is amazing and good quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service was brilliant too. If I could warrant a 6 hour round trip from where I live. I would make this my go-to restaurant every week.

Stayed at the Bay Filey, absolutely lovely food, delivered on time, if not early. The best Indian we have had in a long time and we are originally from Sheffield. Wish we could take this place back to south Yorkshire. Got alot for our money too! Thanks!!

Honestly the worst Indian we’ve ever had. We always eat Indian and try various restaurants. I only ever write reviews if the Indian is outstanding or absolutely appalling. We seen it had great reviews so thought we’d try it, but we have no words for this one! Over £30 for 2 mains, rice and 2 nann. The curries were half empty, literally (see picture) . The panner tasted like chalk and was hardly cooked. The salad bag was the most shocking thing I’d even seen a few ‘leafs’ with a lemon.(see picture) Chicken tikka wasnt even ‘tikka’ The onion in my shashlik was dry, and they couldn’t even be bothered to cut it up a little bit, just a full onion and a full tomato plonked in the curry. And the chips were soggy and not even cooked. I refused my child to eat them they were that bad. If you can’t even cook chips then I’m worried. We must have tried 100s of Indians in the last few years and I’m sorry but this is worse one by miles. Shocking And a rip off.

We had a delivery delivered to primrose valley campsite , very quick service only took around 20 minutes, wasn’t one bit of food we could complain about, it was all delicious every plate clean , the garlic and cheese naan breads were gorgeous so much cheese!!! Will be defiantly eating in the restaurant on our next visit.

Great curry! We had a take away and all of the curries were spot on and very fresh and tasty! My little one also enjoyed the chappatis very much! Highly recommend! Lovely staff too!

Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere a little impersonal as we were very closely seated to other diners. All open seating no booths as such. But overall, fantastic meal and service.

Ordered a mixed biriani with Madras sauce.(simple) Sent the standard veg sauce. Changed sauce 'so hot' no taste. Their apology changed again, ended up with nappy sauce. Food by this time cold. Wife ordered Butter chicken, God knows what she was given,had cheese in it. 😩😅

Ordered a take away from Monsoon, delivery to the Filey Brigg caravan site. Prompt delivery, driver called and we met at a pick-up point. Food piping hot and absolutely delicious 👍will definitely order again if we are in the area.

First time visiting monsoon. I won't be returning. Chips needed cooking for longer. They weren't edible & ended up in the bin. The naan bread was too thick & was doughy in places & that ended up in the bin too. The curry wasn't pleasant either. Thick slabs of ginger & garlic in the half filled container. Service was great. The staff are very friendly & a credit but unfortunately the kitchen needs attention.

Staying at holiday park, ordered a takeaway..easy order and delivery. Food was outstanding and good value for the coast. So wish they were in Leeds, will be ordering again or visiting the restaurant when back!

I'm from Birmingham was on holiday at a local camp and fancied an indian curry, I was totally impressed with what we ordered, I had meat tikka madras and plain rice and my wife had meat tikka rogan josh with pilau rice both were very tasty, would definitely use this Restaurant/Takeaway again if holidaying in filey area.
