Horrible, food bland and order not correct

What a wonderful experience. We had a sagaloo and a chef king prawn special.. absolutely awesome... Huge recommendation.

Fantastic vegetable curry. Very tasty and is up there with the best curries that I’ve ever had. Will definitely go back

Very friendly service and super tasty food, also fantastic value as it was half price dining on a Sunday.

We were welcomed (and served) by Nabir - and he made us feel like VIP guests. The food quality was outstanding. The poppadom spice tray was excellent and our two mains “Butter Chicken Massala” and “Lamb Dhansak” complimented each other brilliantly since one was creamy and smooth while the other was quite fiery!

A must when visiting Scarborough! Friendly staff. Did there best to replicate a Bradford curry ! 9 out of 10 😁 will definitely visit next time we are in Scarborough 👍.

Food took 2 hours to deliver and arrived expectedly freezing cold. No apologies from driver. Very disappointing

Having eaten in the restaurant before and enjoyed it, we decided to use the delivery service. The first time the food (desi khanna and chicken delight) didn't seem as good as eating in and my wife thought her dish had been made with different ingredients than the same one in the restaurant. At least it was edible. The second time we had Butter Chicken with a sauce like thin and watery gravy and smelled odd, and a Chicken Tikka that looked as though half a bottle of red food colouring had been dropped in. Both had hardly any chicken, barely a full chicken breast between the two dishes - strange as we had found the portions generous when we ate inside. It's as though the take away comes from a completely different kitchen than the main restaurant. We called and they wouldn't accept there was any issue with the food and actually blamed us for ordering it. He eventually offered to send something else but having had a bad experience two times and now having been patronised we didnt want it. They refused to take the food back for a refund so it went in the bin instead.

Food wasn't that good, waiter service could be better and for the price ...... and make sure you check your change, had to go and ask for the bill again due to them trying to short change us ....need I say more ......

Terrible 2 different dishes with same sauce. Wednesday so 50% off but only if we paid cash. Had to walk to cash machine . If it was decent food wouldn't of minded but no wonder place was empty. Woulus

Omg what can I say. The best food delivery ever. Dirt cheap and tastiest in my opinion the best in Scarborough... Obviously there are other wonderful eateries but on this count I'm raving. Beautiful jalfrezi perfect

Absolutely love this little gem. Wish you had a place in Whitby because I would have Indian food more often. I love this restaurant so much. Great choice on the menu, highly recommend you to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price.

Food was nearly two hours late! Rung restaurant only to be told they didnt know where the driver was. When it finally arrived driver just shrugged his shoulders - not bothered at all. Food was cold and had leaked all over the bottom of the bag. Food had to all be microwaved to heat up. Wont be ordering from there again.

Wish it could be a minus 5, ordered food and left on door step been in all night had to micro wave to re heat, the guy couldn't be arsed to do 1 job right 🙄 same as their service appalling

Excellent meal and service, at the moment, food is 1/2 price on Wednesday and Sunday, went for a birthday meal, what a bargin. I can't recommend this restaurant enough 😎

"Curry is best the next day." We took our leftovers with us to test the truth of it and it is. We were pleased with the food (maybe the vegetable dansak was a bit too sweet) except for the cauliflowers which must have been frozen, which we can live with but somehow it was raw and too soft at the same time. Maybe some more cooking would have helped. Other than that, the place is nice looking and our waiter was kind, too.

Brilliant food with excellent service.

The lamb kebabs were smeared in food colour. In my entire life I haven't had a Indian/Asian kebab that needed to decorated with food colour. Please stop using food colouring. It's unhealthy and unnecessary!

Despite saying ALL food half-price on posters advertising Sunday and Monday offer, when we tried to order king prawn dishes, we were told these were charged at full price. Lots of other issues at this restaurant, notably overcharging, which has been mentioned elsewhere When I messaged them on Facebook to complain, the manager refuted all my complaints despite me providing photo evidence. In response to my TripAdvisor review, he acknowledged that some of their posters did NOT mention that king prawn dishes were charged at full price, but in private, he continued to be smug and superior and sent me the following message: 'By the way, I think you need to go to Specsavers to examine your eye I already send you King prawn is not on half price regardless, you have posted on Tripadvisor' If you wish to eat in an establishment where you're overcharged and insulted, be my guest, but count me out.

Chicken bhuna with plain rice and Chicken Madras and plain naan....a go to choice if trying somewhere new. Naan was eaten, and good. Rest of it, poor and Chicken over cooked. Sadly would not recommend 😕 also suppose to be half price and cash only night, could have been warned prior, but would not have paid the full price if this was factual . Doubt it was off what I was charged

found a black hair in my food and rung to tell them about it and then the man on the phone told me that he would get the manger to ring me then 20 minuets went by and never got a phone call and he acted like we hadn’t phoned what a waste off money it was i will not be eating from there ever again

We have eaten here several times over the past few years and never had anything but a lovely, delicious meal. Not sure how others have rated it so low? The portion size is great (especially compared to other Indians in the town) and everything is tasty and delicious! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, but have had one below par experience using the delivery service, but can forgive that as the food was still amazing.

The coconut dip is a welcome addition to a pickle tray for your poppadoms. Main curry a little too rich to start with, but my taste buds told me to go back to it, again and again, the sign of a good curry in my book. Delivery punctual.

Ordered online for delivery at 19.15. After numerous phoncalls and always saying they are round the corner turned up at 8pm asking for £5 more then quoted on the site. Refused to pay this so they left. Don't think I'll go back.

Awful, misguiding, tasteless food with loads of food color as you can see on my nails. Ordered chicken biryani which was million miles away from any biryani. It was not even a pulav. Oily greasy vegetable curry. NOT AT ALL INDIAN RESTAURANT!

I must have eaten over 100 pathias, and this was easy in the top 3. Shami kebab starter was amazing. The raita was a beautiful accompaniment, and the salad was next level. It may seem a bit on the expensive side, but the portion sizes mean you won't leave hungry, more likely with a doggy bag.

Food was excellent and really good service

Food was ok, sauce was tasty but lamb was tough for my taste. Other food was enjoyable. Good portion sizes. Attempted to add a cash delivery charge after I paid online (which was not mentioned at time of payment) - this was waived but only after delivery driver had to ring the restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway. Stated 10%off if collected. This wasn't taken from the bill. Ordered Onion Bhaji starter which was very nice. But the main was very disappointing, had Chicken Dopiaza, basically had to go fishing for the chicken amongst the amount of onion in the dish and the lack of chicken. Had the Keema Naan, which was lacking in mince meat. Sadly the main and sundries were tasteless and for the cost, not worth it. I would not recommend this restaurant, which is ashame but they failed to match their glossy look.

Terrible experience, kebabs were stale, worst chicken biryani, rice in biryani was so dry and stale, and paratha was dripping with oil, I had such a hard time throughout the night , had to vomit to relax myself. In one word "NIGHTMARE".

Really good food! Staff are amazing too, this resteraunt saved Christmas for me and some friends as another resteraunt didn't write my name down when booking, then they were fully booked. Thanks Eastern Paradise! 👌👍

Went last Saturday was shocked how quick they took our plates away got our order wrong we always go there when we go to Scarborough but will think twice in future

Great delivery service, the food was brilliant, will 100% order from here again.

Poor quality food, over priced and even tried to over charge by poor handwriting on final bill. Attitude change when bill was challenged. Will need be revisiting.

What a fantastic place! Beautiful food, great service...nothing was too much trouble. Went for Roman's excellent recommendation of Chicken Desi Khana. It definitely did not disappoint and is now my favourite dish. Honestly the best Indian meal I've ever had and my partner agrees. This will definitely be at the top of visit our list every time we come to Scarborough. Fabulous.

On Sunday 28th August, my wife and I dined at the Eastern Paradise in Scarborough, attracted by the sign in the street stating clearly, and without conditions, that the cost of food on a Sunday, when dining in and paying by cash, was half price. The food was good and the overall dining experience was pleasant. However, we were surprised and disappointed to be presented with a full price bill. When I queried this, the member of staff (possibly the manager) said the half price offer only applied if the table was booked in advance. On leaving, we looked carefully at the notice in the street - there was no mention of the requirement to book. I went to the restaurant the following day and politely drew attention to this misrepresentation - the member of staff expressed concern, asked where we had sat and how much we paid, and he said the manager would call me the next day. He also found the bill - it was indeed the bill we had been given and had paid (in cash) but it turned out to have been the wrong bill, not corresponding to the food we had. There was no subsequent call from a manager. I phoned on the Wed, and was again told the manager would call. There has been no call, and it has now been 5 days. It is unlikely we will visit this restaurant again - and I may pursue the matter under the trade descriptions act.

First class service, first class meal, brilliant x

This place Is a must go by far one of the best Indian places I've been food was out of this world and the service was second to none even down to roman giving us some vinager and baking soda to get a stain out of the mother in law's shorts honestly if you are a resident or just visiting Scarborough get yourself down here

Came on holiday, fancied an Indian and asked a few people where they would recommend and the majority said eastern paradise. I was welcomed and greeted very nicely and the experience was good, the food is actually really good.

This restaurant can serve any cuisine but Indian. The food no where tasted like an Indian cuisine, there was no aroma or flavour of Indian spices it looked like somebody mixed up whatever was available in the kitchen with tomato purée and after diced chicken. I’ve had better garlic naans at a supermarket. Please don’t judge Indian food based on this restaurant.

We turned up very late and not sure if we would be welcomed but after a bit of banter we were invited in and ordered food. Top quality food and a good laugh with all the staff made it a great ending to our night. First class service. Thank you guys.

Just passing and saw this place eastern paradise, and popped in, and I am so happy that I did, me and my partner were welcomed from the very start, we both were not to sure on what to have for our main meal but went along with the usual starter poppadoms and pickle tray and how impressed i was with the quality and choice of pickles and a new one at that, but with the main meal my partner decided to keep to her usual chicken tika but for me I wasn't to sure, I was asked about my previous choices in my past experiences with Indian cuisine, and "rezala" chicken, was highly recommended to me so I decided to go along with this recommendation, an boy this dish was amazing and the quantity you got, if I had know how much one would get i wouldn't have ordered extra nans and rice as I'm a big eaterl, the best Indian experience I have had eating out every one gave us 100%

Half price on a Sunday which is great. Food was serviceable however the customer service needs improvement. Guy on the till too busy messing about on his phone then sorting our bill out. Waited 5 minutes before I asked him if he would like me to pay for my food.

I've used this Indian many times last night was the worst meal I've ever had in there. I ordered the chicken dazzling delight at madras strength it was like a korma. Sent it back came back bhuna strength. Very disappointing.

Just ate here an had an ok experience - I enquired if the food was halal an even though the guy at the front said it was I was not convinced, no sign on the door, no certificate hung in the restaurant so I just had his word to go by. The customer service was subpar aside from this one man Ali, he improved our experience by a lot. Didn’t try to up-sell us on anything (unlike the other guy) an helped us pack our leftovers whereas the other guy just bought 1 box over after waiting few minutes. - personally wouldn’t recommend but the food itself was alright 3.5 / 5. (Also food seemed overpriced for what it was)

Been tonight with my partner and son, beautiful food, reasonable price, so much better than expected, absolutely loved it. No complaints. 5*****

Disappointed. Ordered butter chicken . It’s was all full sugar. No taste of any spices or Seasoning. Chappati undercooked and not even rolled evenly . This on one side and thick on the other . Couldn’t eat it .

Have ordered around ten takeaways from them and never been let down on speed of delivery or food. For us it's always a safe bet and would rate each item we've had from them very highly. King prawn Puri is a favourite to start. Naans are always great, with the peshwari being our choice. Nepali mixed Masala is her favourite, and we both enjoy many of the sides like saag aloo. Tried many of the mains with various combinations of meat and never had anything which was fatty/tough or lacking meat, always been great.

Set Meal for two to collect, I was a bit early, I was offered a small starter as I was waiting and was Chicken Pakora and a Nan Cheese this is what I call customer service. I believe the gentleman who welcomed us was the owner and was very pleasant and warm and super friendly staff. When we got home with the food it was still nice and hot, well packed and very generous portion of mouth-watering dishes (it was delicious and in line with my allergy requests) Thank you :).

Wow! We went here for our first time last Friday night and we walked away 100% satisfied. The atmosphere, the friendliness, the cleanliness...the food 😋! Highly recommend 👌 we shall be coming again. 😀

Just had a meat biriyani and garlic naan absolutely beautiful. I lived in Bradford for a lot of years and I used to eat Asian food every day and since I've been in scarborough this is the only one I will eat from because the other Indian restaurants don't taste authentic

Been tonight March 19th We absolutely love this Indian. Staff are very efficient and friendly. Food was excellent with so many spice layers in the food we ordered. We have been to many Indian restaurants, but absolutely this is by far one of the best and we are never disappointed. Portions are very generous and we probably over ordered. Nice decor, very clean restaurant and toilets. Highly recommend Eastern Paradise as best Indian if you are in Scarborough. Mr. R

Pricing online is out of date! Had to pay £6 extra! Food was swimming in grease, chicken was over cooked and dry and the naan was undercooked and doughy. Wouldn't recommend, over priced and poor quality!

We had several takeaways from here during the COVID pandemic which were always nice but today 2/12/2021 was the best ever. Taste was fantastic, huge portions and prompt delivery within specified projected time slot of about 35 minutes. Highly recommended. One thing....please look at why you can't order my favourite chicken tikka masala on the meal deal. Thank you

Probably the worst Indian restaurant I have ever experienced, avoid.

Flat coke for £3.50. They told me it was the ice being put in that made it flat, like I've never used ice before. Got a Chicken Rogan and bit into a huge chunk of beef bone (I think it was beef, because it was too big for a chicken). Shared starter, meal, rice and naan for two was £50.

This was by far the best Indian takeaway I have ever had, I am an Indian food fanatic, the taste, portions, the service were amazing, value for money was exemplary. Don’t go anywhere else for an Indian Meal. Many thanks to the Eastern Paradise Staff.

Visited this place on 30th july , food was out of this world , freindly staff , food was so authentic , murghi massala and onion bhaji highly reccomend , best in scarborough , after trying most others
