we were a group of 3 families, 11 in total inc children. staff were friendly and polite. The menu includes so dishes that are more authentic as well as british fav's. The quality of the food was excellent. So tasty. We will always make this a go to when visiting Filey in the future.

Really good food, the mixed kebab on naan was absolutely spot on tonight as a local business owner I regularly use it !

2nd time we have visited and it was yet another delight. As it was early doors on a Sunday night we were the only ones in. The young Man on service was friendly and welcoming. We opted for the set meal for two, fantastic value for money. Food and choice was exceptional. Already recommended but will continue to do so and visit again.

Ordered a takeaway and aas delicious and very reasonably priced and plenty of food

Very disappointing takeaway. Spent £49 on 2 mixed starters, 2 nains, 1 Special Biryani, 1 Lamb Rezela. Starters quite good but all the pots of dip were the same mint dip and only one lid stayed on, so most of dip was lost in wrappings. The mint sauce was nice but a range of dips is usual and would have been much nicer. The Lamb Rezela was very poor. The lamb was dry, tough and tasteless. The sauce was thin, watery and tasteless. I couldn't eat the sauce but, as I was famished, I ate the lamb, tough and tasteless as it was, by dipping it in the mint dip. My partner's Special Biryani was very dry, with very little flavour. He too was very hungry but he left most of it. That was a bonus for me, as it was nicer than the watery Rezela sauce and so I ate a bit of the Biryani with my lamb and mint dip. We won't be using Filey Curry House again!

Great little find, don’t be fooled by the basic appearance - warm fresh papadum with pickles and ice cold draft cobra set the tone for a quality meal. We enjoyed bhaji, tikka, bhuna and naan - all superb, fresh and tasty - not rushed at all, with friendly service. We would definitely come back next time we’re in Filey!

We decided to give this place a try last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and plenty of it and we weren't rushed at all,staff very friendly,we will definitely eat there again

Take out took an hour to make and the bread (Naan and the one in the puri) were very doughy.

A wonderful experience the service was amazing and as the food was just as good the naan bread was the best I have ever had. Finally found a good place to have a curry definitely go again.

Our second visit here and we were just as impressed as we were the first time. Excellent food and friendly staff Piping hot, spicy dishes, all well presented. Jimy Chicken and Prawn Tikka Karahi were our main courses. Thoroughly recommended.

Take away by delivering while we were on holiday. The food arrived in good time. It tasted good, however there were only 4 chunks of chicken in it and the sauce was really watery and lacked body. The other dish had thin strips of chicken but not much of it. Was a bit of a shame.

Friendly welcome, great choice on the menu You can tell the food is freshly prepared & cooked. Mixed starter lamb & chicken tikka was melt in the mouth, onion bhajis first class Prawn curry, prawn biryani & butter chicken, garlic rice & chapatis were our main courses Chapatis were beautiful, so light Good size portions as well I would recommend a visit & definitely return

We found the food to be freshly prepared, tasty, hot and nicely presented. I have eaten Indian food throughout the UK and this was on par with some of the best. The restaurant is small but that adds to its charm. Filey does not have many restaurants that open beyond 8pm midweek so this was a great find. This was the best meal we had in 7 days in Filey.

We have been here twice now. The first time we were made to feel welcome they came and asked specifically how we wanted our food cooking. The food was amazing just how we liked it. Went again last night for our wedding anniversary and we were made to feel really special the food is really tasty and the staff are great. The place is spotlessly clean. Cant wait to go again. Highly recommended

Food was awful .. The curries tasted of nothing but salt.. very bland. The bill at the end was just made up and very expensive for what was ordered. A real shame as used to be a lovely place.

Small Indian restaurant in Filey that seemed to be a one man show front-of- house wise. We were the first customers of the evening and although not many more came in whilst we were there service was quite slow and I wonder how much slower it would have been if busy. The menu is not too expansive which is no bad thing as it is better to do a few things well than lots of things not so well. And the food itself was indeed very nice indeed which at the end of the day is the main thing. The lone waiter was more than helpful in giving advice. They accepted my card payment but for some reason they prefer cash and the waiter seemed a little miffed that I wanted to pay by card but his demeanour changed a tad when I added a tip. It is an odd little place but I quite liked it when all said and done and would use again.

Wow staying in Filey for the weekend and called in here for late tea , Starters was Chicken Tikka , amazing flavours , then I had Chicken Dopaizia with rice my husband had chicken Byriani and we shared a pashwani nan . The device and the food was Top Notch We highly recommend this restaurant 👍

Booked n for today and arrived on time, greeted with a nice welcome. the 4 of us had the set meal for 4 and drinks. The set meal was fantastic and all of us enjoyed the selection of dishes available in it. We will beback again and consider it our favourite new curry house.

Rubbish! Charged me a fiver for delivery to Reighton Sands, even though the menu said £2 for Filey and £3 for outside Filey. The restaurant was meant to ring when they were setting off, so my husband could meet the driver. Failed to do so,...

Great service by polite staff and the chef did an excellent job of serving us a great meal. There was no rush and we didn’t feel pressurised to leave. We will be back again on our next visit to Filey.

Brilliant!!!!! We were staying in Hunmanby and they delivered no problem, service on phone absolutely excellent, we gave Brian the delivery guy a beer to take with him because he was so lovely and the food was delicious. Couldn’t fault this takeaway! Thank you for making us giggle on the phone when we ordered and adding a bit more joy to our holiday weekend. :)

Every time we stay in Filey we USED to eat here. It was incredible and although more expensive was totally worth it but now it's just average. Watery madras. Bland chicken tikka which used to be incredible. My garlic chilli lamb massala which was intense is now just spicey with no flavour and the lamb is chicken and even says lamb on the dish. Rehire your old. Chef if that's the issue or do what you did but its hone down hill.... Sorry

Tesco cook in sauce would have been more tastier than my rogan. Be careful, they do not itemise their bills. They just make up a number.

Absolutley rubbish.... 4 starters 4 mains 8 poppadoms 3 nans £140 quid and it all looked out of the same pot. Like another poster said told us at the end no card machine when they had. Won't be back here...

Just had one of the best take away meals ever, chicken was cooked to perfection, each of us had a different meal and both were excellent, even the wife, who is very fussy ate every last bit. Will definitely be back again.

The Pashwari Nan was the freshest most delicious and light Nan ever. The absolute right size. Would recommend this lovely little Indian Restaurant. Compliments to the Chef.

Always beautiful food eat in or takeout.

I had a lamb Madras at this place. The lamb chunks were huge and needed to be chopped up in order to make chappati wraps. The sauce was very rich and needed to be a little bit thicker. The pilau rice was very nice. Being from Bradford I think my standards of curry may be somewhat set too hight, bit it was still nice. They didn't have the dessert I wanted so had to make do with a different one, not the end of the world but I had set my greedy eyes on cheesecake which they didn't have. I'd still recommend a visit though.

This place likes to rip you off by charging £1.60 for a poppadum and £2.20 for a squash drink and then insisting on cash at the end of your meal. Even though they have a card machine and will take card if you insist - I wonder why?! The food is basic and atmosphere non-existent. It was like being in the 1970’s - only worse.

Just moved to Filey and tried Monsoon Curry house first then Filey Curry House. BLAND is not the word. Both curries tasted the same from Filey Curry House and I've never seen or tasted a poorer Tikka Masala. Monsoon is infinitely better. Give this place a miss.

Let’s start with the positive, Balti was nice, pilau rice was ok. Starters and particular mixed starter and chicken tikka was terrible. The flavours are no existent and if I was the chef I’d be embarrassed to serve that food.

I ordered a chicken tikka ceylon .. They nailed the ceylon sauce 100 ppercent 5 stars for that as its a very hard sauce and not on the menu . probably one of best ceylon sauces I ever had ,, the pilau rice was ok the nan was good as any .. but unfortunately the chicken tikka was poor . It had not been marinated never seen a tandoor was certainly thigh not breast .. thigh can be good but this was not .. shame really as the sauce was knockout ,, I would definately go again if I am ever down this way but would avoid chicken tikka.. Another little gripe no kaloonji seeds in the nan bread. A tip for the restaurant use a stronger marinade on the tikka and let the meat charr in the tandoor . I hope I am not being too hard on them as I used to work in a curry house so my level of expectation is quite high.

Went to Filey curry house tonight after moving to the area. It is a quaint Indian restaurant in a small, family run setting. The food was nice and the staff were welcoming. A nice evening out

Absolutely disgusted. We ordered our takeaway at 7:30pm this evening, the driver arrived at 8:25 with what we thought was our order. Upon opening the food, we discovered that we had been given someone elses order instead of our own. Like anyone would, we rang the restaurant who said that they would ask the driver to turn round and give us the right order... we kindly asked the restaurant to get the driver to ring us when he was here. 30 mins later, we hadnt heard anything so rang back to find out where he was, we were informed that he was sat down at the reception to the caravan park and had been sat there for sometime but no one had let us know... when we got to the delivery driver again, he gave us our order and appologised, saying there is "a new lad in the kitchen who is messing all the orders up" we deemed this to be a little strange, considering he hadnt been back to the restaurant to collect anything? Upon opening our food, we discovered half of it was missing and the remaining food was half eaten. Rightly so, we rang back to inform the restaurant and ask for a refund. They understood and was very appologetic, offering to make our order from fresh and give us £10 back. They promised this would be here in 30 mins to which it was. Everything was there and appeared to be fine until we opened the burger and was presented with a burger that was burnt on the edges, squashed but uncooked in the middle. The rest of my family were enjoying tucking into their curry until they found that most of the chicken pieces were uncooked. This is absolutely ridiculous, we will not be ordering again! Only rated 1 star because I am unable to give 0.

Terrible service. It took an hour and a half before we got our starters. The meat was dry and chewy. Very disappointed.

Very slow and poor service. Waited 1 and half hours just for the starter, I had the tandoori mixed grill and all the meat was well over cooked Very dry and just couldn't eat it.
