A lovely quirky cafe in Wallingford, that we found by chance after visiting Benson. Lots of British/ Royal themes and decorations. A cosy independent cafe, very friendly with a good atmosphere. We ate breakfast, from the menu I had a Henry VIII, my wife Princess of Wales. The breakfast [were large], excellent and certainly value for money. The service was spot on, the staff interacted and very pleasant. Definitely worth a visit

Visited on the basis of the menu on the website. Arrived to discover menu prices double those posted on website. Coffee arrived promptly together with menu. After 50 minutes of waiting for our brunch order to be taken, we went to cash desk and asked why menu prices different from website. Was told rather rudely that they do not have a website. We then complained about the slow service and were again spoken to rudely. Informed there was no waitress service, however, there was no signage anywhere advising customers of this and when waitress brought menus, she didn’t tell us to order at the counter when ready to do so. I suggested that this fact should be publicised and that the website should be updated. Again told there was no website. No apology for the misunderstanding, just rude, defensive and surly staff. Cannot comment on quality as did not stay to eat but we will not be returning to find out.

Simply the best breakfast I've eaten in ages. Who ever cooked it, cares. They care how it looks, they care how it tastes and they care how it's cooked. Awesome. 10/10 I'll be back to try their lunch someday.

At a local festival (Bunkfest) so we thought we'd go for the local small business for breakfast. It was busy but didn't seem ridiculously so. Vegi' and normal breakfast ordered. Vegi' had undercooked eggs, and a significant amount of someone else's hair in it (!). Luke warm. Normal breakfast OK, but lacking the chipolatas that were on the menu. Not hot. The staff were pleasant, setting lovely. But it took 50 minutes for our disappointing breakfast to arrive with no acknowledgement of the delay. It became clear the kitchen was overwhelmed, we could hear this from the person cooking the food. The thought of asking for things to be put right, and to wait longer, didn't work. We had no confidence things would be resolved, and had things we wanted to go to. If we'd been told of the likely wait, if the food was good, or if we had even been asked how things were going with the food things would have been different. It was clear the kitchen couldn't cope, and whilst pleasant, the staff seemed unaware of, or uncaring about, the delay and poor food quality. I get that settings like to have a chance to put things right, but it was clear this would have taken a fair while. It's simply better if food is served cold, undercooked, with hair in it.

A small quirky delightful and friendly cafe a couple of doors down from Waitrose in Wallingford. Plus a rear garden. I visit regularly and the chocolate fudge cake is delicious and moist. I’ve also had the baked potato with coronation chicken plus a mixed salad with a delicious dressing. The potato is large and I often have a doggie bag to take half home. The filling is gorgeous. I’ve had a variety of eggs, scrambled and poached. All excellent. If you want or need a slight change to a dish then ask. Dogs are very welcome and might get a treat. The cafe is good value for money. I’ve learnt that is family run: if busy you may wait a few mins to order but they serve customers in order and zoom around to serve as quickly as possible. Mollies is great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and cake. Quirky bath turned into a seat in the front. My dog and I can highly recommend and will be back there soon.

My wife and I both ordered the breakfast and weren't disappointed - absolutely delicious. It was my first experience of this marvellously quirky little cafe and it certainly won't be my last.

Pleasant spot with nice coffee. The breakfast baps are very good but the veggie and main breakfast quite average. The veggie breakfast has the tiniest amount of halloumi in it, the service very slow.

This is a truly wonderful cafe. Everyone is so kind and friendly and go out of their way to provide great service. It is busy so occasionally you may have a short wait but it is more than worth it. The food is a mix of breakfast, snacks, cakes, lunch and a huge choice of food. One day I listed the items I would like, all on the menu, and it was not a problem. I especially love the jacket potato with coronation chicken, the omelettes and actually everyone I’ve had. The decor is a fascinating eclectic mix of Coronation memorabilia for the UK, plus books, newspaper and other books. The food is excellent value for money. I can take my dog in. It is not huge inside but a lovely mix of sofas and tables. My dog has been treated to a sausage on more than one occasion! There are a couple of outside tables. It is suitable for families, couples and going on your own. I love it and will be returning frequently.

The decor was quirky in a good way and the food was delicious, piping hot and good value. Staff helpful. Would have been nice to have paper towels or hand dryer in the loo, and better taps but that's a small niggle!

Popped in here on a morning out from Reading on basis of availability of gluten free offerings. Not disappointed. Quite simply the best service we have experienced in many years with staff going out of their way to be helpful. Will definitely be back.

Lovely cafe and great food. I love the changes they have made in opening up the garden. Great food and coffee and absolutely worth a visit. If you have children there were toys and sandpits

I used to really like this little cafe but I’m afraid I just don’t really like the new lay out - only been in there once since it changed it seems to just look like a mish mash of odd things and I don’t find it as relaxing an atmosphere as it used to be.

Great place for Saturday brunch, Sunday roast, Burgers, Afternoon tea and Surf & turf. We have been eating here for years and have loved everything we have tried. One of the only places I have visited with a large group of family members where everyone unanimously agreed it was the best meal they have had & still talk about it years later. Service is great & staff a friendly, if you haven't eaten here you need to!

★★★★★ I visited The Nook during a group cycle ride, and we were warmly welcomed. This place is a gem, offering a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks in lovely surroundings, complete with attractive artwork on the walls. I had the Cornish pasty, which was piping hot, delicious, and generously filled. The fresh and crunchy salad that accompanied it was how I liked it. As someone who enjoys supporting independent businesses, I highly recommend this fabulous coffee shop. It’s a must-visit if you’re heading to the barn next door or looking for a cosy spot with delicious food.

Decided to walk to the nursery from Stanton, and what a lovely day was made out of it! We stopped at the cafe to have lunch, and the food was lovely. Nothing fancy, but was warming and fueling after our walk. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We were able to do some crocheting, and ended up staying until close! Would definitely like to come back again!
