Very nice, food arrived hot with friendly delivery driver. Madras was flavourful, vindaloo flavourful and spicy as you’d hope. Onion bhajis were perfect, can be overly dry at some places but spot on here.

The poppadoms were a bit soft but a good amount of chicken in the dishes.

Large selection of dishes and drinks, clean, pleasant friendly service, tasty food. The hosts treat you to a compliment from the restaurant🥰

We ordered a takeaway set meal for 2. Its wasn't good, the lamb was very tough, all together very tastless. Won't be back.

Definitely the worst tasting Indian I’ve ever experienced. Meat was poor quality and loaded with oil it lacked taste and to be honest most of it went in the bin. I spent over £20 and would have had a better meal spending £5 at Lidl. Save your money guys. Owners you should be ashamed!!!!

Very terrible, food has no taste , customer service is zero and food not worth the price. Came here to eat with friends and we literally regretted coming here . We ordered chicken Karahi and it came very cold and even when the waiter told us she would get it warm up , the old man in the reception said the light is faulty at that they can’t get the food warm at the moment. It was very frustrating we paid for it anyway and didn’t eat the food . No salt and no taste . I would never recommend anyone to go there . Food is rubbish

Worst restaurant ever I have been. Attitude of one chap inside restaurant (behaving like owner having specs ) was ridiculous. Over and above he was asking for cash rather than card payment and argument made by this gentleman to have cash payments that they have to pay to their workers in cash.. surely govt should look here and if possible audit books properly. Now this gentleman saying below that I have paid in cash is again totally false and I can attach receipt of payment done via card. Surely going to log complain to govt to audit here and will report false practices

A very bad indian curry I've ever had. The food is disgusting 😒. I can't believe people are still giving you 5 star reviews must be the hoilday markers as we are local to the area and we wouldn't buy from u ever again. We had a takeaway from here. We had different curries as there was 4 of us all trying different one. We didn't even rate the food and most of which went where it was good for the bin. I've been making curries for years myself and I would give u -100% if I could for absolutely disgusting and awful not fit for anything but the bin.

Not terrible, not great, just meh! The seekh kebab was more on the still alive side than cooked and the main ok but lacked flavour. Some bits ok but nothing compelling that would make me part with hard earned cash again

Family run business..known owner for years..very polite and helpful..always adds a bit extra in sides..popodom to relishes. Definitely worth a visit..on corner of Babbacombe rd, from Torquay, on right, before tesco express.

We’ve been eating here for years (both in the restaurant and takeaway). They used to be awesome but sadly the standard has deteriorated over the last few months. Whenever we order a Keema Naan now we get a few ‘crumbs’ of meat (see photo). They assured us it wouldn’t happen again…but it keeps happening. Our onion Bajis tonight tasted reheated and not fresh, the poppadoms were not fresh, the lamb was chewy, fatty and grisly and my chicken was still pink inside. This will be the last time we order from them.

The food was nowhere near as nice as usual. This was the worse meal we had from there. Both curry’s were very watery and tasteless. We travel out the area as it’s usually so nice here. So was a disappointment

4th time and last time I will try this 🤷🏻‍♀️ apart from the fact the meat was tough, keemas meat all gathered in one edge and just not much flavour, also, was cold by the time it got to us. Also orders chicken and chips for the kids, this came in nugget form. The nuggets were nuclear orange and as rubbery as the chips

Food was tasty but not hot when we got it and had to put it in the microwave! Very nice to have FREE poppadoms with the meal but a suggestion would be to make sure they aren’t stale.

Ordered a takeaway through just eat , food was late and cold No refund offered use another takeaway . Just offered an apology if I was their in person I would not have paid for the poor service but once just eat have your money they are difficult to contact

Quick evening meal after a trip to the Model Village. Friendly attentive staff and quality food, cannot fault it, and super reasonable prices once you take the ongoing 50% off food deal into account. Recommend trying this place out if you are nearby and hungry.

I found a staple in the food last night.

I went to order, after seeing a 2 for 1 deal with tasteCard / student discount (totum) (note; their shop photo and address was labelled, so 100% submitted by them), and was told aggressively they don't do that discount. I was nearby so went in to show him the actually website showing their business to help, so they could contact them and clear it up. But the owner was just getting more and more angry at me, thinking that the UK Wide University student discount was a made-up website which he could do 'nothing about' I said I'm trying to help! He wasn't listening. Guarantee he'll never contact them and now he's lost a customer thanks to this discount...

Flipping cold in the restaurant. Food was nice, service good, just cold. Enough to stop us going back.

Had to call to find out where my order was it was due between 18.30- 18.50 - I called at 19.00 it arrived at 19.10. States it was delivered at 18.35 which isn’t correct

Been to Mirch Masala now a few times. The first time was dreadful. Food was terrible and the service even worse considering that the restaurant was empty only our table (of 3) to serve. The second time I was invited and had no choice in the matter but I must say, it was the best Indian meal I have had in a long while and the service was very friendly. The third time it was my choice. I can't say that I was disappointed but it wasn't as good as the previous time. Will I go back? Probably, but now I know that quality is not consistent, I might not rush to go back.

The best Indian in the bay, we regularly go to this restaurant and it never disappoints. It’s the cheapest Indian around and it’s genuinely the best around aswell. They do great deals on dining in and the food is always good.

After waiting for hours our rice STILL hasn’t come. £46 order and it’s totally ruined my night . Have phoned 3 times. Very disappointed . I should have a refund

My friend and me had been here last month and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Something has happened since then. Ordered our food, had a starter and then came the mains. Rice was fine as was the nan bread but both of the curries was extremely salty. We left enough of the meals that the waitress asked if we're taking them home. We told the waitress that we couldn't eat any more as it was so salty, she said oh sorry and cleared the table. Went to pay and told the young guy behind the counter that the food was over salted, he said sorry and continued to take our money. Won't be going there again, never mind the so called 50% off, I feel conned by paying over £9 for a curry that was really awful

A little earlier than expected but food was excellent

The rice was forgotten so we had to go back to get the rice, food quality wasn’t as good as other curry houses we’ve been too.

It was really nice. Everything was perfect. I didn't know they had 50 percent deal. I was very surprised when my bill became 50 ppund from 100. All the curries was nice. Chicken tikka biryani was best because it was not too oily

Lovely food and great service. Quite a bare looking place. They do half price excluding dinner, but I found out why. What I ate usually costs between about £10 and £16. Here, it was over £26 😮 I was so impressed until the bill came! Food was good though 🙂

Food was piping hot. Poppadoms deliciously crunchy. Lamb madras was good overall, hot and tasty, succulent lamb bar a few chewy pieces. Would order again for sure.

First time visit for me, very enjoyable meal and good price. Clean and pleasant surroundings a friendly staff. Would happily eat there again

Visited here after staying in Babbacombe for a couple of days. The previous reviews decided we'd eat here, and we weren't disappointed. Portion sizes and very generous and flavour of food was absolutely delicious. I had prawn madras and pilau rice and hubby had chicken madras with naan. Everything cooked fresh, service lovely and will definitely return on our next trip.

I walked in about to sit on one of the many empty tables at the restaurant. Wait a minute.., the story about to turn interesting here. I’m not sure if the lady standing next to him (I’d assumed Thai) looked at him and said takeaway 4. Never did I say I want to takeaway. I told the man I want to eat in. He asked me to go ahead to sit at one of the many table. As we looked at the menu, a man came to check if I want to order. I normally order for my children first and take my time to look at the menu. I ordered 2 paratha and 1 briyani. She came over and ask if that’s it. They’ve got ordering policy. I’ve never heard what policy before. That’s shocking. Just because I look Asian like her, that doesn’t mean I’m a tourist. I live here! I know how the local order and eat! If you’re thinking of ordering just a basic meal, don’t bother this place. Go to himalaya or elsewhere. There are many Indians nearby! Or you’ll end up having a nasty day. I’d get it if the restaurant is full house or busy. It’s 6 plus. There’s only 1 diner in there!!!

Was visiting Devon, from London Hammersmith. I thought must review this restaurant, I absolutely loved there food I wish they were local I could have ordered from them more often. Customer service is above and beyond and food is excellent at very reasonable price too. (Best Indian Take away food i had in my experience) 10/10

Not good at all!! Ridiculous marketing ploy outside making you think that you're getting a half price deal but there's no way those curries are worth £17 each let alone £8.50 . Not a lot of care and thought gone into cooking the curries, naans were cold. Rice was OK. Pickles tray absolutely waste of time as mango chutney is just a runny syrup. Eveything is heavily bulked out with huge chunks of onion. There's no soul or atmosphere in the place, no decor and tables are crammed together. Waiter spent most of his time hiding away from the main counter in his phone and drink selection is poor. Whole things been repeating on us for 24 hours now and we stink. Worst curry by a country mile and will never ever go back.

Me and my friend went for a dinner ordered chicken tikka biriyani told them make it spicy When we get the food presentation was good Staffs were not good because of am Indian they don’t like us to come and talk.none of the staff come and ask how was the food. Food was really poor not at all spicy No masala flavours were there not recommended Good thing was it was on half price 30 pounds came to 15 pounds

Bit disappointed with the chicken it says on the menu half chicken and it cost me 7.99 for it and it’s only a thighs and it’s small thighs not ordering that again
