Great food and splendid service every time

Really great service and enjoyed the dishes too, but I couldn’t help thinking that there was too many menu options - maybe you could make a tally every day of which dishes get ordered and any that don’t (or not a lot) after a month, you remove from the menu? That way you’re not wasting ingredients or having to freeze and reheat, so you’re saving money and making the food at a better quality. I always worry when I see so many different choices because rightly or wrongly I think that they can’t possibly cook every single dish really well so I avoid so I don’t feel like I’m gambling on whether my meal is going to be good or not.

Great food and service...had the chicken byriani with vegetable curry ,read good reviews and it was excellent...starter was crispy seabass also very good...

Lovely owners, always very hospitable and generous. They have a huge menu with great variety. Has been great each time we've gone in, have had some thai and indian dishes and both are equally as tasty.

This is a beautiful restaurant with lovely friendly staff, the food was delicious plus they were happy to make changes for us on 2 dishes, we also didn't feel rushed to finish, definitely worth a visit.

Lovely valentines meal out here. Try the tasty paneer Biryani. Really friendly staff and owner. Classy atmosphere. Good value. Highly recommend!

First time in mint leaf and had the banquet for 2. Loads of food, poppodoms and dips, really bid starter selection plate each, 3 mains, rice, popadom and rice refill. All was excellent quality and price very reasonable. Staff were lovely, and my son who popped in for a drink with us got a complimentary plate of 3 big bhajis, which he ate all of and enjoyed. We will be back soon.

Good food but - the most expensive curry I have ever had! For almost £50 each we could have eaten at the Michelin starred restaurant around the corner.

Went today as a birthday present and the food was amazing good portions nice and fresh . The staff were very polite and friendly nice relaxed atmosphere will definitely be going back again

Came today at 4.30 , we were the only customers there, the server was very attentive and pleasant. My daughter and I really enjoyed the food, it was amazing. atmosphere was relaxing, we didn't feel rushed with our meal. Overall a extremely positive experience. We will be back soon.

The atmosphere inside is good. But the staffs seem to be rude and create artificial crisis by saying we’re fully booked. They asked for 15£ each just for reserving a table for 2. We didn’t reserve and called the next day whether we can come now, they said yes. While we were having dinner half the tables were empty and nobody came in 2 hours. They don’t serve you if you don’t order a main menu for each person. So if you’re not hungry enough, maybe it’s not for you. They were at the end kind enough to let us dine there. The wines tasted a bit more watery. I’m not a wine expert so don’t take my words on wine but it’s just what I felt. We took samosa takeaways but they tasted like frozen samosas. And you have to pay 10% extra for their service. Wow! Not a great experience. Update based on owners reply: This is exactly the kind of reply I was expecting. No wonder!

Both the Thai and Indian dishes are great - superb flavours and generous portions. One of the best I’ve had.

We were recommended by a work colleague to come here if you like hot curries. We reserved a table for 6 at 430 on a Thursday evening for a work celebration night. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and inviting. We got our drinks orders in then had a round of poppadoms and dips to start. The menu is a mixture of traditional Indian curry and Thai curries. Same for the starters. I had Thai fish cakes to start and then a mild Thai curry with nan bread. The food was delicious and a step above normal curry. We had complementary onion bajias and mint green tea from the staff. Total bill was £170 for food and £56 for the drinks. All round great value for Edinburgh and gorgeous food. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Mintleaf, you won’t regret it.

Enjoyable meal for a work night out. The mix of Indian and Thai catered for all. Veg options available too. Flaovourable and filling. Perhaps missing a slight more spicyness about it. But good overall. Prices good for the food and drink.

The location and service was great. The food was great, however I found the cost of the drinks was expensive, this makes £30 / person cost more like £40/ person.

Came with a group of friends throughly loved the ambiance. Very good service with a smile, i had chicken green curry my partner had mintleaf special. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent food, good service, price OK. We were there early and the only ones in but the building is atmospheric.

We had booked a table for two and when we arrived nobody seemed to know about it. The restaurant was packed with office parties and the only table available was opposite the front door which blasted us with cold air each time is was opened. The kitchen was clearly over-run with the orders from the office parties and our food took an unacceptably long time to arrive. The waiters did there best in these circumstances. The starters were acceptable but the main dishes (green curry and duck curry) were tasteless, bland and frugal.

A consistent and reliable Indian and Thai restaurant. The food is always nice here, and they really give you your moneys worth. It has a nice sense of ambience inside the restaurant itself.

Excellent food, staff and atmosphere, would’ve given 5 full stars but we were a little chilly it was the first very cold night we have had this year and we came quiet early in the night but we felt it coulda done with being a little warmer (although maybe it was just us?!)

My partner and I live locally and decided to try somewhere new, and we are so glad we did! We had the whole place to ourselves for most of our evening (seeing as it was mid week in the evening, and winter!) which was amazing. The decor is beautiful, bonus points for the ladies bathroom being exceptionally stylish. The food was incredible. I ate from the Thai menu, and my partner from the Indian menu. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I am normally a creature of habit and only order food I know I like, but I was so glad I chose something I’ve never tried before as it was delicious. Best of all was the service, the chap who greeted us looked after the two of us so well. Very friendly accommodating, and we were made to feel so special! The general atmosphere was so relaxing as well. We had a brilliant time, left a fully belly, so will definitely be visiting again!

Enjoyable meal. Good food and friendly service. We had a Thai meal and an Indian meal, both of which were very tasty. It's a little dark in the restaurant and hard to read the menu. We were there quite early in the evening and it was a bit quiet but soon filled up and had a good atmosphere.

We ordered a variety of dishes among the 5 of us. The naan was crispy just the way I like it. The chicken tikka was tender and I enjoyed the creamy sauce with it. Excellent service.

The food was fantastic and the service amazing. They checked on us multiple times and made sure we had everything. Currys are authentic and generous with the portions. Went for my birthday and had a great time

Got to say the staff are so nice warm&friendly 👍 myself and my friend went in to order a takeaway which was amazing portion size too, I even had it for my lunch today and still have enough for teatime 😋 going to definitely come in soon and sit in cause it's so relaxing and cosy got to say 10/10

Wonderful food, beautiful decor, great service! All meals were excellent, but my top recommendation is the Thai king prawn with coconut pancakes! The ultimate comfort food.

This place is run by friendly hosts who made me a lovely butter chicken curry even though it wasn’t on the menu. I’ve eaten here several times and the food is always excellent quality with the first class service to match.

This restaurant is gorgeous inside! We had the Thai Banquet which was amazing (so much food). The beef tasted delicious, we would definitely return here. They had a variety of wine choices, a range of soft drinks and a couple of beer options - definitely something for everybody.

Haven't been here before ,odd live not far away ,came in early for dinner (was starving:)) fancied a Thai curry (yes I know it's a Indian restaurant:)),portion size was large , authentic Thai curry with just enough bite to keep it interesting,was suprised was quiet, deserves to be packed out, probably due to being early doors . highly recommend (from a Yorkshire man this is fair gushing:))

We stayed in Leith and wanted a nice local restaurant. We both ate the Thai dishes which were delicious. The staff serving us were very pleasant, would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a meal of zesty vegetarian Indian dishes. We chose items from the menu and also one special of the day, Indian cheese. All were cooked perfectly. I can fully recommend the Mintleaf.

Visited with a multigenerational group for an early dinner. We were all made very welcome, we tried both Indian & Thai dishes and all of us had different favourites but enjoyed everything. Would definitely visit frequently if I lived locally - or if they moved near me in Colorado, USA. My particular favourites were the green curry and the Murgh Tikka Massalam. Very flavourful.

The food was nice,, the staff weren’t overly attentive but we like that as we like a bit of privacy when we’re eating. I will be visiting this establishment again as we both really enjoyed it.

Amazing, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the decor was lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the Thai red and green curry's for mains with spring rolls and chana puri to start, everything was full of flavour and cooked perfectly.

A faboulous restaurant to eat out at, the place itself is very smart and relaxing and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. A lot of the smaller aspects (chutneys and paneer) are homemade and you can really tell! The menu has a lot of choice, with your classic curries and stir fries as well as some more interesting options. Well worth a visit, thoroughly recommend the milk coconut rice.

We had a beautiful meal here last night. The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive and made us feel very welcome.
