Unfortunately, there's no variety in the music selection—every room seems to be playing the same genre, with no RNB, Afrobeats, or Rap available.

An important place in the history of 1990's Rave and Dance Club culture. Simultaneously with the record production of House & Trance music. But this is history. The London club culture today is but a shadow of its pre Millennium heyday. Commercial & Corporate greed stripped it of its fringe and left field ambience together with the commercialisation of the music. London nightlife has been paired back, some say obliterated by Mayor Khan and contemporary disposable tech & TikTok culture and the new puritan politics. "Raver Tots night" for Goodness sake. The sad Disneyfication of an epic era in London club history. S.M.H The building and location is a museum. The current offer however is very different to that history and this is just another of the last standing bland London night clubs.

Ministry of Sound offers an exceptional experience with great DJs, an electrifying atmosphere, and impeccable sound quality. The professionalism of the staff is truly remarkable.

I would definitely go there again.

The Ministry of Sound in London is a real veteran of the nightclub world and deserves a solid 3 out of 5 stars. As a long-standing electronic music institution, it attracts a diverse audience. The sound system and acoustics in the club are good. Some of the DJs who play here belong to the elite of the electronic music scene. Despite the many positive aspects, there is still a point deducted, mainly because of the sometimes long queues and the high drinks prices.

A really really good nightclub! Highly recommend to everyone. I was there from 11-05 and had fun every second of it! The food you could by was very good for being served at a night club and was to a reasonable price!

Very dependent on the DJ. I've been once and the venue is fine but the DJs on the night I went ought to consider another career. They should never be allowed near music again to be honest. I liked the different rooms and the student night is decent. Bouncers can be a little rude.

Gave 1 on atmosphere because it smelled really bad inside and a 1 on food because food got sold out really early Music was nice but the room upstairs was full of 60 year olds for some reason.

Came here when Bassjackers were playing, £16 for the entry until 10. Recommend buying ahead so it's cheaper. Absolutely loved the music here, was here for 6 hours. Drinks are a pricy, even just a water bottle. But tbf it's London so. Bouncers were chill too.

Very good night club, with good sound. Severals rooms and platforms with different style of music like techno or Rap US. The best room is on the left when you is arriving in the principle room. I saw that there are a lot of French people in this place, I was very surprised but that’s okay because I am a French girl. You need to take your ticket in advance, before the night on the site web, approximately £20 before midnight and £25 after midnight and for the changing room you need to have £6 for the coat and £6 for the bag. And beautiful room of toilets with mirrors, very big.

Been going to ministry for years, decades even!! Always a good fun night and if you haven't ever been there go!!

On the night I attended, room 103 and the main room were open, and the loft was not. The main room had very good lighting, however it got hot in there very quickly (as would be expected with any club). Staff were incredibly helpful with any queries. There is a food van in the smoking area that serves cheap food, such as pizza, burgers, and hotdogs. Room 103 has the largest main bar, and one the DNB night that i attended also had a stage and mc. I feel like you have to get lucky with the atmosphere of the club based on the crowd of the night (again as is sexpected at any club).

Security pushed my friend down the stairs and then kicked her and the rest of us out my the “VIP manager”. He had not a clue what was happening

Don't bother. It's a ripoff. They charged me £12 for the cloakroom because I had an umbrella that could fit in my jacket pocket. I paid £20 for the ticket so that's absolutely not acceptable. Dance floors are ok and drinks are acceptable. Better to go somewhere else.

아니 어이없는게 클럽이면 취하는고 아닌가요?아니 마약을 한것도 아니고 그냥 이층에서 친구들끼리 춤 추고 있었는데 시큐리티 두명이 갑자기 저희들을 끌어냈어요 가방을 맡겼는데 가방도 안주고 그냥 끝날때까지 기다리라고 해서 카드도 없어서 집도 못가고 아무것도 못햇어요 한사람당 8파운드나 냈는데 즐긴건 고작 2시간도 안돼요 어이가 없어요 갑자기 나가라는게 말이 되나요??저희는 그냥 친구들끼리 놀았는데 그게 문제인지 모르겠어요 절대 가지 마세여 그냥 돈만 날리고 온듯요;;

Not my favourite club, but the sound quality is good and I think if you catch a good night, the vibe will be better than it was for Basement Jax. Good service in VIP, friendly security.

I got VIP for under £60 and I was not pleased , all u get with it is a balcony which you can stand on with the rest of people and also private toilets , which is not worth paying £30 more for only this, drinks were £9 for one tiny shot, but the music and DJ was defo a positive

Very pleasant experience with incredibly efficient and friendly staff and cloak service. The regular security checks in the toilets were appreciated for the overall feeling of safety and security for a really enjoying experience! Definitely worth continuously going for future events!

Attended for AWOL and went all in with VIP. The bars staff up there were fantastic. Naturally the drinks cost a fortune but I felt the staff recognised that and went the extra mile with their friendliness and courtesy. Security were the right balance between scrutiny and welcoming. The sound system damn near ripped my nipples off! WHAT. A. NIGHT.

Been to ministry of sound several times over the past 12 years and went again recently but still just don’t like the vibe of this place. I don’t know if it’s the layout that doesn’t give the right energy or the fact that in my last visit the bar ‘conveniently’ ran out of all regular spirits about 2 hours into the night and if you wanted a drink you had to buy their premium spirits which is very poor too see and feels very much intentional and manipulative. Won’t be back anytime soon :(

Great music but by and large the most homophobic club I have ever been to. Came here with a mate and got shoved several times by strangers for being too close to another man. Not what I would expect for central London

Went to raver tots here on New Year’s Eve and enjoyed it immensely. There were a couple of Rooms and a main room. Atmosphere was great, lots of sensory for the kids. My 2 year old loved it and me too. Had a dance for the first time in forever.

Liked it, paid £55 for entry for each but not worth it. Let me tell you why! Place was excellent and huge. The sound system was good, drink menu was not so expensive. But the DJ’s were not up to the expectations. Sad but dint like it, though we stayed till 3 am. Hope will visit again next time and like it.

Had such a sick time at ministry. Really good vibes, majority of the crowd were students and quite young but we had no issues with anyone. Drinks were standard price, venue was spacious. Overall would come back.

Very unprofessional security and manager. We bought 5 tickets and even then we were not allowed entry because the security didn't like our face and attitude. Basically, they just didn't want to let us in because we were Indians and had no other reason. Please don't go to this place if you don't want to ruin your night.

The staff were pleasant and helpful at the cloak room and in the vip lounge. The VIP experience was a letdown because the music played on the top deck didn't sink in with the main performance stage, but I believe that was a personal preference. There were no perks to being VIP, no seating areas for guests who didn't buy a table. After visiting this iconic venue over 10 years, I was expecting more at this more at this point.

I spent my university years in Elephant & Castle and came to this place on several occasions. Its not a cheap nightclub to get tickets but its always a good atmosphere inside. The reason for my 1 star review as with so many others is the security here. On multiple occasions friends and I have been refused entry without reason and this happens to so many lads every night. Its not a cheap place to get tickets to these days and I belive there is a toxic culture among the security staff. I've heard countless stories of people being thrown out or intimidated or denied help from security here and its the main reason why I would advise students looking for a good time to head to Bola or Corsica down the road.

Overall a great experience, the atmosphere was great, people were friendly, and generally had a good time. We walked to the club, without tickets, the security guard welcomed us and told us we could buy tickets inside, a lad told us he bought tickets but there were some issues so he wasn't going to use them, got free entry and free VIP area access, the VIP table reservations require a bottle to be ordered for a table, their prices are expensive but it is London after all.

Great Club, Great Music Choices, Staff are well trained

I unfortunately got robbed here a while ago. But that’s not why I did a bad review. After I was robbed my friend spoke to someone and the staff there were actually really lovely and did what they could. It was the security guards who were really mean about it. My friend was trying to get me some help as my id, bank card and phone were all robbed and I wasn’t able to get home. The staff said there’s nothing they can do and I understood that but my friend really wanted to find someone to help me. She told the security guards about it asking for help and they were just laughing about it. They were making comments like “Oh she got robbed should we help her or just let her walk home”, whilst giggling about it. It took me a while to make this review because it just made me really sad and I didn’t want to think about it ever again. I felt so embarrassed.

security are so rude and aggressive for no reason they host student events but treat the students like criminals. very strange. also selectively ask for student ID but other times they only check the regular ID but will send you away if you don't bring both. wish they'd change their no refund policy

I really hate this night club! The securities treated us indecently and pushed some of my friends in public, when I asked them for a valid reason they told me some of my friends looked drunk so, they will not allow any of us to enter. We were nine people in total and they just told us to go back home. However, they were allowing many people who could barely walk to enter without an issue. We faced strong signs of racism and felt that it was a scam and they robbed us of our money!

Warn your teenagers that they should be very careful if they are going to this venue. My student teenage son visited the MOS on Tuesday evening with his friends, who were a group of international students. They all said the female security staff was shouting and pushing them and acting very aggressively. This is not acceptable behaviour for trained MoS security staff.

Such an amazing place and so so clean, no stale piss smell in the toilet 😮 There are staff constantly sweeping, mopping and collecting empties! Never seen a club so we'll clean and well organized. The door staff are also really friendly. Top sounding system and great sized rooms!

I lived nearby and is just a great place to have a really nice time, prepare your earplugs because is loud as it should be. Love this place, is just ministry of sound.

The sound system is awful for the big name DJs that play here as well as the production value. Printworks (when it was open) was 300x better, or even ovo Wembley. If you’re going to see a dj, just don’t. However for a night out it’s okay, although chaotic.

I am not big on such clubs but love this place. Went there yesterday and the security team is so nice, patient and helpful. I don’t know how they do it…Bar staff on the other hand just didn’t take orders, they were either new or in training but it was just genuinely bad. Not sure if it was deliberate but people in the queue all along the bar were not drunk just very bored from waiting.

TLDR- -Good music -2 rooms -Standard prices for London -Very rude security -Risk of being refused entry without an explanation It’s decent, gets empty pretty quick. The prices are okay, I paid £10 for entry and I don’t drink so wouldn’t know about those. The music was decent you can check what they’re playing on their website. IDs are scanned so don’t try with a fake. The smoking area is lovely and has heaters. There’s a tube station and loads of bus stops not far with 24 hour bus services so getting home is easy as well! Edit: I've decided to come back and lower my review score, now that I have come here a few more times I have had some bad experiences. The bouncers/security at this place are honestly the worst you can find in London. They're very rude and seem to find enjoyment in removing people from the queue after they've waited and not letting them in, even though they paid for their tickets, and then refuse to refund these tickets. This didn't happen to me but if you go you will notice there's always a crowd of people in front of the entrance who they've done this to. This happened to my friend the other day; he was removed from the queue with no reason and then ignored when he asked for one. After about 45 minutes, the only security guard which treated people with respect came out and started explaining to people why they were removed. Thing is, people were being told different reasons or reasons that didn't make sense (sober people being told they're too drunk, people not being allowed to enter with resale tickets which has never been an issue, people getting told their tickets were only valid until a certain time when tickets don't run out). Very disrespectful security if that's the way customers who paid to enter a venue are treated its not worth paying. I recommend Heaven over Ministry. The bouncers are very nice, respectful and will joke around, whilst also taking their responsibilities seriously, and there's live shows which are always very entertaining. Also you don't get ripped off for entry at Heaven.

This was my first time here ever lol and I've been going to London for years never been clubbing though...I was really impressed how lovely the door staff were and the 2 guys in the cloakroom was hilarious had a good banter...I love how everyone was sooo friendly in there and the fact they let disabled people in too...Really nice touch everyone was just loving their night...I really enjoyed myself and I like the idea of the body scanner as you go in too...Very secure and safe all clubs should have these to protect themselves. Will definitely be back...Oh and you gotta check out the woman's toilets all I can say is wow...They all bright pink and has a massive pink neon sign with the ministry logo ...I took a selfie of course lol and the entrance to the club past security they have these amazing green lights flashing down like really cool effect...Awesome club 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Trashy face-control, sound is way too loud - was unable to stay even when wanted... Coming from Moscow (...which is never sleeps..) with free club enterance and hence the toughtest face-control, was not expecting rudness, passive agression from people on the doors. Staff inside was very friendly though. Not to allow trashy people in you should start from your own staff...

terrible, my daughter wasn’t feeling well and the team did absolutely nothing to support her. She mentioned that the space was dirty and unsafe. Be careful music lovers, this is not the place to spend on a friday night.

Not as great as it's been hyped up to be. Just full of ketted out uni students and teenagers cutting shapes to music that all sounds the same. Probably best to make this a 21+ club again. Have to say the sound system was really good overall, the toilets felt clean and the security was pretty solid too.

Went last night and was told it was student only which is fine. However I see 30-40 year old people go in there so simply questioned the bouncer as to why and why we couldn’t gain entry. I was then accused of rudeness to which I apologised despite there being no reason too only to be told to bleep off

Great fun for the family. Music and atmosphere was great for the kids. Lots of involvement and prizes for dancing etc. There were also activities in other rooms like hobby horses and a bouncy castle. Kids only! Star knocked off for lack of changing tables at the event. There are so many easy portable versions now that eventually having a folding trestle table with mat on top seemed slapdash. It also wasn't there at the beginning and I changed my daughter on the floor. It's a shame there were no alcohol-free options for things like ciders or spirits. Plenty of soft drinks etc. We had a blast and everyone definitely got into the spirit. Great tunes, plenty of fun and would definitely go again!

So many people had phones stolen including mine. Staff are no help finding or searching or checking for missing items. So much security on the way in but not a single check on the way out even after so many people reported stolen phones whilst in the venue

Excelled expectations and more. Before coming here I read reviews which had me a little anxious. All this talk about aggressive security/rude/racist staff/expensive... it's all lies! At least for my experience. Came on Sat with a few friends and we were all different nationalities and had a great time! security was great, staff at the bar/toilet were respectful & professional. Drinks were cheap too! I think I had double v redbull, whiskey coke, corona - was a total of £26! That is amazing prices for the location. The venue is massive and well lit. People are enjoying themselves and good vibes. It's like a cleaner version of fabric or any of those rave events, but still with the fun.

As an out of town house/EDM fan, I arrived at MoS on a Tuesday night, with a ticket already purchased, a decently long journey to get there under my belt, and an excitement to participate in a venue with such history and relevance within the community! Unfortunately, I was not allowed into the club on the basis of it being a night solely for students. I am (both as of writing this review and at the time I attempted to attend MoS) a 25 year old who is finished with my undergrad but not yet enrolled in a masters/doctorate program. As such, and at this time, I’m not technically a student. There is nothing inherently problematic with a “students only” night! I think it’s great to offer such an event to the community. However, the fact that the website did not clearly inform me, in bright and bold letters, of this fact upon purchasing my ticket is unacceptable. I spent quite a bit of time on the website prior to purchasing the ticket making sure I was situationally aware and to ensure something like this did not occur, so while it’s POSSIBLE that I missed a disclaimer, the fact that it’s even missable is at bare minimum a major administrative/design flaw. After getting rebuked, I also saw other eager customers getting turned away at the door under the same pretenses. So, it quite evidently isn’t just a simple issue of me personally being unobservant. I’m giving two stars instead of one because the bouncers were very polite about sending me away, because my review does not speak to the overall quality of the venue (which might be amazing……but I wouldn’t know), and because the ticket I got was only about 8 quid so it’s not as if I lost out on a large sum of money. However, it was a massive inconvenience and a hefty let down.
