Had a very nice meal with friends staff attentive and food was great definitely go back again

I have been a Mela customer for many years ( both takeaways and eating in).The service is always excellent, the staff have a great attention to detail ( holding the door for you, ensuring you’re comfortable etc). The food has been consistently fantastic. The best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had, every time!

These guys are just 5 star. Excellent service and the food is just another level compared to other indians. This is the standard others should be trying to achieve. Food is just amazing and their take on classic dishes is wonderful.

Very classy restaurant, excellent service and lovely food. It was a refuge on a wet and soggy night on a recent business trip. I would highly recommend it. I didn’t get the tandoori lamb chops but the chap on the next table was raving about them.

We had a fantastic experience at Mela last night. Not only was it the tastiest Indian I have ever had the service was absolutely phenomenal. I can not wait to visit again!

Very average experience. The dish I ordered was supposed to be a little spicy but was very bland and not that warm. Service was very slow and it took an hour to get our main course. Wouldn't go back.

Not having visited for over a decade, I was excited to try Mela again. What can I say? It has instantly become my Indian restaurant of choice. Absolutely outstanding dining experience. Yes it is about the food, which was exquisite, but also the service and the "vibe". Vibe in a restaurant is something you can't quite put your finger on, you can't always explain why it is there, but it is. Like a noisy Italian restaurant has a "buzz", very similar. Mela has this in spades, which makes the place joyful. Mustn't forget the food. I chose to start with some chicken tikka. It was moist and delicious, with great attention to detail - the side salad was dressed and interesting and I finished it all as it was so good! My main was the Mela "Special" Massala with chicken, rich, creamy, quite sweet, and served in a lovely copper bucket, and was absolutely amazing. I will be back very soon.

I last visited here with my family on 16 Feb 2023, and it's still my favourite curry house. Quality food, friendly staff, and a lively atmosphere make the experience special.

We visited Mila with friends who live in Aston Clinton. They have been many times but this was our first, but will definitely not be the last. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and the restaurant itself had a very nice feel to it.

After seeing a few positive reviews, I thought I’d give them a try. Rang to order and was told the card machine is broken, it would need to be cash. No issue at all, scratched around and found about £25. Called back to order and got told that my order only amounted to £22 and below the delivery minimum of £30. I offered to give them the full £25 that I had, but if the card machine wasn’t working I was unable to do £30 in cash. Nice chap, said sorry and put the phone down. Utter rudeness.

It was an absolutely fabulous dining experience as we celebrated my wife's birthday. It's the first time I have been to Mela and it certainly won't be the last, the food was excellent, the service and attention of the staff was even better. The Chef made me a soup that wasn't on the menu and it was superb. Having paid the bill which was very reasonable, I forgetfully left my wallet on the table - one of the staff quickly brought it to me as we were leaving, thank you all at Mela for making my wife's birthday meal Special.

I ate here for the first time as part of a large group (30÷ guests). My perception from others who had dined here previously was that it was a good restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. We received a friendly welcome and the staff were great throughout. Being part of a large group can sometimes be problematic with timings at some restaurants, but not my experience here. We had a set menu and our food was prompt, hot and delicious. We had a good selection of food from mild to spicy, including a vegetarian dish, something for everyone. I would definitely reccomend trying this restaurant and look forward to going again myself.

Good food, good service, a little pricey but wild happily go again. The staff were all entertaining, made for a better evening.

Not great, ordered a large takeaway, out of the 4 of us eating none of us enjoyed our food. I had a chicken tikka which was dry, tough and cold..saag alloo which was dripping in oil..and ordered a chapati and in its place received what I can only describe as a whole meal tortilla wrap….the only thing they managed to not screw up was the rice and poppadums… Would not recommend, would not order again instead will try the highly reviewed Indian restaurants in Wendover

We booked a table for my Nanna’s birthday. We had heard good things about the place so was disappointed with the service we received. The food was served cold/mediocre and took a long time to arrive at the table. My nanna had to ask 3 times for a glass of water and 3 times for a new knife. The waiting staff were rushing us to finish our starters, rushing us to order our mains and then forgot half of our order. Upon literally just finishing our mains still with drinks etc on the table, one of the waiters come to remove the table cloth and starting clearing away.. we wasn’t finished. One thing above all other failings I noticed was all of the staff were chatting and overly friendly with certain tables. I guess locals who go there often? So it felt to me unless you’re a local to them who go often, you will receive poor service. Very disappointed

Visited with old friends from work. Had a great evening out. The food , the helping sizes, the attentive welcoming staff ,the decor was tremendous. What surprised me the most was the bill, alot less than we were all expecting for the service and food quaulity. It,s a must to visit and l would highly recommend the Mela.

Been going here for a few years now with a good friend, menu is superb, and the meals are beyond that, I guarantee you will not find better, Ash and his team are very welcoming and friendly and go the extra mile to make your meal spot on.

Came here for a family dinner for a birthday meal. A table had been pre booked and it was just as well as it was packed in there. Food was tasty, unfortunately one meal was lamb instead of chicken so they re made it for us but made lamb again.

Had the most delicious food here can highly recommended this restaurant the best in the area for miles…we usually get a take away from here but wanted a change as there was 4 of us …they are so accommodating and very entertaining the staff and certainly go that extra mile which is rare to find now in restaurants…
