Best pizza I’ve had in a long while. Staff were very friendly. Based in an amazing setting - in the Mediterranean biome. Good selection of lunch options. Calmer than the larger main restaurant.

Went here for lunch as a family of four based on eating here some years ago, and we were sadly disappointed with what we got. They initially squeezed the four of us around a tiny table barely fit for two people, and only moved us to a larger table when we asked. Staff levels were too low for the number of customers. Worst, the paella was a sad example of 'skimpflation'. The menu claims it comes "with Cornish seafood" but this amounted to a single shrivelled mussel on top. On top of this, the rice was overcooked into porridge, making it so bad that three out of the four of us couldn't finish it. This is not what you want for £15 a plate! Overall, we would not waste our money there again.

We ordered the paella which claimed to come with seafood and chorizo. The seafood seemed to consist of just one teeny tiny mussel and one small langoustine and the chorizo was just half a small slice. The consistency of the paella was like porridge so goodness knows how long it had been cooking. It was pretty inedible. Total waste of money.

Chaotic queues! We were happy with the gluten free choices, better than a lot of places! Didn't see the sandwiches as the queue was so long. Opted for a gluten free pizza and wedges, both quite acceptable. Nice coffee but a tad expensive for the size of the cup.

Very poor experience, service chaotic and slow and the food was desperately underwhelming. I understand it is a small tapas style restaurant but the bread portion sizes were absurd, 4 micro pieces of bread to go with a vat of olive oil - absolute waste of oil. The gluten free bread size was even worse and appeared to be a single slice of bread cut into 4. Meatballs were the best of the dishes but the service was so slow and inefficient, appeared to have insufficient servers running out the food - really can’t understand why such a simple menu can be delivered and organised in such a poor way. Wanted to love the place and was keen to try it, but unfortunately would recommend avoiding it!

no main meals were available, just nibbles and small plates. It was described to us as "like tapas" but it wasn't tapas at all, a bowl of humus with 4 tiny slices of bread, meatballs in a huge serving bowl and a single slice of toast with mushrooms. Just dreadful.

On visiting the Eden Project we decided to eat here. We had to queue 10 minutes, which was fine as they were busy. We were shown to a table by the waitress which was dirty and still had glasses on. The waitress took the glasses, and said she would come back and clean the table - she didn't! We asked again after about 10 minutes, again, they didnt return. After about 20 mins or so, someone came to take our order which we gave them, and again mentioned the dirty table, they said they would clean it, but didnt return. The drinks arrived after another 10 minutes, and again (forth time) we asked for the table to be cleaned. The waitress said she would fetch a cloth, and did return and gave it a wipe, begrudgidley! The food came an was ok, but the whole experience was lost due to the long wait and the dirty table issue.

Considering it’s a tourist attraction and this is a café/restaurant on site I didn’t expect much other than to be ‘ripped off’. But I was wrong. Decent food at not overly costly prices. We ordered a variety of starter type dishes, a pint of Thatchers, a couple of Elderflower drinks = £50 for the 4 of us. Good service too. No, I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Glad we waited to eat here during our trip, as it was worth it. Cue was significant and if you want to eat here, you must get there promptly and prepared for a wait - but the food is lovely and fresh and the atmosphere is relaxing. Charming little birds fly around you - curious and protected from the outside world inside their own little “Eden”. Closest I’ve ever been to a Robin until now - they sit happily watching you eat curiously, hoping for a scrap! I had the Gnocci today, and really enjoyed the meal.

If you are hungry, do not eat at this restaurant. Myself and 3 of my friends went today and ordered the Chefs Pasta Special which cost £14.50 each, a total of £58. When the food arrived it hardly covered the bottom of the bowl, I would say no more than 4 dessert spoonfuls of pasta. We could not believe our eyes. The pasta was very thin with thin courgettes, it supposedly had garlic but we could not taste it, the meagre amount of food we had was tasteless. We were hungry on finishing it. I spoke to the chef and the waitress to say how disappointed we were and was “thanked for my feedback”. I strongly suggest that if you do eat here make sure you see what the portions are like before you order. My friends and I dont mind paying for food but come on, this is taking us for fools. It actually spoilt our day to some extent as we were really looking forward to a nice lunch. BE WARNED. DONT BE RIPPED OFF LIKE WE HAVE BEEN.

Of course any restaurant in the centre of the Eden project is going to be great for location, but perhaps a little steeper on value. However, the local ingredients turned what could be mediocre into quite delicious - the addition of Cornish cheese to the pizzas was a knockout and stole the show. Also very sensitive to dietary requirements, such as vegetarians and gluten issues. Perhaps not the most expansive of menus, but could definitely find something for most people. The main thing that let it down was its aloof staff and slow service. Most of the staff seemed like teenagers with weekend jobs who had better places to be, but were friendly enough when needed. It did take a little while for our orders to be taken when they didn’t seem rushed off their feet. On the whole, a decent experience with some real highlights.

The restaurant has long tables and benched seating, very reminiscent of school dinners. But don't be put off by this. The food reflects the mediterranean theme of the biome at Eden Project. It was really nice food. Lots to choose from the menu and affordable (unless you have a family and then it might be cheaper to bring your own food so everyone in your group can eat what they want). The long tables and benched seating is available for everyone, whether your buy food in the restaurant, or you bring your own. My only tip is that if you're not fond of noise children whilst you're eating, you may want to choose to sit away from such groups.

Our sharing platters, all cold dishes, took over 45 minutes to arrive, after we had already waited over 20 minutes before ordering. We did receive an apology, accompanied by the statement that our order "had been lost" The food, when it did arrive, was acceptable and tasty according to all of my dining companions. However, I felt that the whole endeavour was understaffed, and morale appeared to be at rock bottom. Would I eat there again? Such a brilliant idea being able to eat within the Mediterranean biome. So much birdsong & relatively tranquil enviroment ( screaming children’s aside). The way staff are uniformly attentive & nothing is too much trouble (not that we asked for anything but could frequently hear “sure, not a problem, will do”). We just had the paella (certainly packed with flavour but not even a hint of crust), a Margherita pizza & a bottle of wine. We note other reviews saying meals were well priced : we thought they were a tad pricey for the serving size but the enviroment compensated for cost. Well worth a visit.

We had lunch at this cafe while visiting the Eden Project for a day out and it was great, really tasty and fresh. The Med Terrace is in a very nice location inside the Med dome - the decor and menu are in the Med style to compliment the surroundings and there's a beautiful tree right in the centre of the restaurant. The Eden Project was quite busy when we visited (I doubt it's ever quiet) and the main restaurants between the two domes were quite crowded so we went in search of this one inside the Med dome and were pleasantly surprised at how calm it was! We thought we might have had to reserve when we saw how much nicer and more relaxed it was but we were seated straight away by friendly staff. We both had pizza because we saw someone else's pizza and it looked great, with nice thin stone-baked bases. It was really tasty and fresh - I think I read a sign saying they use some of the ingredients grown at the Project. If we visit the Eden Project again I'd definitely eat here, it was great.

Stopped off at the Med Terrace while visiting the Mediterranean biome. We arrived around 12noon and the restaurant was about half-full in terms of tables taken. It's got a great aesthetic and atmosphere but our experience was not great. Out antipasti sharing starter arrived quickly and was average in offering, but certainly fresh in terms of ingredients. Two choices of cured meat, one cheese, olives, and tomatoes, all doused in way to much oil. The menu seems fairly limited but we both found something we'd like for our main course. After this we waited, and waited, and waited some more, for our main course to arrive. After 45 minutes, our server said it was 'just coming over now'. Shame it never arrived. After waiting for an hour we gave up, beckoned our server and asked for the bill. The service is terribly slow and inefficient - apparently a new system is to blame. An eye-roll from another member of the waiting staff as we explained our frustration was enough to confirm to me that we weren't really that welcome anyway. From our perspective, we had not spent £50 to enter the Eden Project, and travelled nearly two hours to sit in a restaurant all day, we had better things to do. We paid for our starter and drinks and left. It's fair to say we were not the only disappointed table, as during this particular service several tables were left waiting and wondering, but it seemed as though we were the only ones who left.

We decided to book the Med Terrace Restaurant at the Eden Project for dinner on the day that we were going there. The plan was to spend the day and then go straight for dinner, but it didn't pan out that way.As we arrived quite early in the day we were rather tired and had done most of the Eden Project by 15:00. So we went back to our cottage before coming back later on in the evening for dinner. Unfortunately my Grandmother (in her 80s and quite fit and active) was very tired and struggled with the long walk from the car park to the biome, I think it took us about 20 to 25 minutes from the Banana car park (the closest one). Thankfully her tiredness didn't ruin what was a unique experience.Being towards the beginning of May the Sun was already lowering and casting a rather beautiful, soft light in the biome which was truly wonderful. The temperature was warm and because the Eden Project was no longer open it was very quiet and peaceful, apart from the numerous birds that have colonised the biome. These birds are incredibly cheeky and very used to being around people. We had a robin sit on one of the chairs at our table when our food arrived hoping to get some crumbs. The temperature inside the biome quickly dropped as the Sun got lower, and "sunset" in the biome is quite a bit earlier than normal due to it being in the old clay pit. This resulted in my Grandmother wearing a few extras layers and a fine scarf where she got cold. In fact all of us ended up with a cardigan/top on. It wasn't uncomfortably cold at all but is something that you should take into consideration when booking and what you wear. The food was lovely, with a range of Mediterranean dishes from tagines to pizza. I had the Picante pizza and it was rather spicy which I loved. The soft drinks available are not your typical ones, there is no big brand, industry standard drinks, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, and the lemonade is wonderfully traditional with a bit of a sharp bite to it. Dessert was also enjoyable and nicely rounded off the evening.Thankfully, for all of us were rather tired and leg weary, they provide transport from just outside the biome back to your vehicle in the car parks, just make sure to remember which car park you parked in! Exiting was then interesting as the main entrances were both closed so we had to follow the out of hours/service road to a security exit which had a barrier but this opened as we approached.Overall I think this is certainly an interesting and unique experience, especially pretty in the soft light of the lowering sun, but if I came back I would do it on a day that wasn't so tiring due to the walk down to the biome and I would make sure that I had a suitable top to wear once the temperature starts to drop.

Beautiful setting & I love the Eden Project, but I was hugely disappointed to spend such a large part of my most recent visit in this restaurant, mostly waiting for our food.It took 40 mins for our pizza to arrive. They didn't even bring any napkins, but we were so hungry, we ate quickly & picked up napkins on the way out!It was particularly irritating to have what looked & sounded like the Eden senior team and a visitor who were seated next to us towards the end of our meal receive their food within a few minutes, as it felt like the restaurant weren't prioritising the customers. There are decent cafes at the Eden Project, so avoid this pretty location unless you'd like to spend hours being ignored for very average pizza!

Had an amazing time with the family visiting Father Christmas and then ice skatingDecided to eat at the med terrace before the light showWe were not advised that there was a 30 minute wait Once we had ordered we waited 20 minutes to be served our bread and olives and a further 40 minutes before we were served our main course. This was after we had asked what had happened as other tables that had ordered and sat down long after is were being served We were told that they were waiting for our children's pizzas to cook. Even though others who say later had had theirs served firstI was unable to have my first choice of paella and when I chose their new special was then told they had no sauce left so I had a platter which was tiny and not what I really wanted. Once the children's pizzas arrived they were completely burnt and they didn't touch themAlthough the staff were friendly and apologised and explained that the chef had walked out, I feel that the lack of attention to the customer and the food had left a bitter taste with meOur meal was discounted but I will not return again

A good lunch experience. I had tagine of lamb which was both very filling and very rich. The starter we chose was a variety of olives with bread and olive oil to dip... Because it is in the temperate dome there was a fair breeze from the ventilation so it meant keeping coats on.... rather more like eating outside especially as there were small birds hopping around .... and a garden growing around us. I would go again.... probably have a pizza next time. :)

Lovely setting with all the robins singing. Fruit and veg growing all around. Although they messed up the order I have to say the quality of the pizza base was outstanding and the topping was very good. Both my wife and I can't remember eating a better one. £10 per pizza is well worth it.

We stumbled upon the restaurant not knowing it was there, so having eaten earlier we thought we would stop for a small snack. When we first walked onto the floor there was no direction, there was no waitress greeting us at the front desk, they were standing by the cooking area talking until we walked up to the bar and she addressed us! She continued to do this to everyone that walked in wanting to eat. I ordered a small 5" prosciutto pizza only for it to come as a margarita. I then said I ordered the prosciutto so the waiter took it back and the chef simply reheated the margarita with some added ham and cheese slapped on top quite literally! So the pizza came back burnt and pretty inedible! Staff looked uninterested, inattentive and quite careless about any kind of customer experience. For somewhere that looked so promising in terms of food and service it was really dreadful. Would not go back here to eat again, put simply it appeared to be an amateur attempt at Italian cuisine!

We booked for a 6pm dinner, but as we were hungry arrived at 5.30 as soon as the kitchen was open. Having seen the menu I was really looking forward to eating here, however when my Paella arrived, the portion size was more like a starter. Now I have a small appetite but this would in no way fill a grown man. My partners adult pizza would have adequately fed a 10yr old but again not a grown man. The food was lovely but just not enough of it. A downside of eating here at the end of the day is that the gift shop at the exit is closed. So as I had decided to leave my purchases till we left I was disappointed that I was not able to do this. A nice touch however, was the little minibus back to the carpark to save us the walk.

We had no idea this even existed until we got into the biome. What a great surprise! Luckily we had got into Eden early so we were ready for lunch when the Med Terrace opened at 12. They have a good selection at the bar, including local ales _ even some "Eden" ales (bottled). The menu is simple but excellent. We had 2 pizzas - all stonebaked, absolutely delicious, and a sensible portion of the huge paella which can be seen at the open kitchen. The food is great, but the surroundings really make this a fantastic experience - especially when you hear other visitors walking around the paths, "there's a restaurant! Oh I wish we'd gone there!". All in all, if we go back to Eden we will definitely make a bee line for this place!

The location of the Med Terrace restaurant is amazing, inside one of the Eden project the biomes. However, the service was slow and one of the waitresses actually walked into my seat whilst I was dining. The starters were great, but the main tasted like it was mass produced for a canteen rather than cooked to order. It was an experience, but, do not feel this was an exceptional one. The setting is lovely, but, the customer service and food needs improving!

Had a delicious meal here last week - all 3 courses were excellent. The pizza had a generous amount of toppings with a nice crispy base and the salted caramel tart with clotted cream was AMAZING! The only thing that stopped this from being a 5* review was the less than attentive service. We had to call waiters over to take our orders on two occasions and the poor girl at the front (who was not a waitress I don't think) ended up coming to take our dessert order. Like other customers have said, we went up to the bar to pay rather than wait. The atmosphere is really lovely - nice music and warm climate (but not overly warm) so you really do feel like you're in another country!

What a delightful place for an evening meal. Good food served at a reasonable price, by friendly staff in an unbeatable setting. My wife's Gluten-free diet was absolutely no problem. Will definitely be back soon.

This could have been a really good experience. It was lovely to be in the Mediterranean biome for dinner. However, the service was terrible! Once we had sat down we had a real struggle to attract the attention of the waiting staff for everything. After finally ordering the drinks they took a long time to come. We then struggled to attract attention to order food, more drinks and dessert. The food was quite good and reasonably priced. The lamb tagine was particularly delicious and the paella was quite good too. The service was so bad that we were quite fed up by the end and did not even try to attract attention to pay for the bill and went up to the bar to pay. Even the chefs seemed to have to ask waiting staff several times to take food.

We were visiting Eden Project and booked an evening meal here. The menu is not too extensive (a good thing I think). My daughter really enjoyed her pizza and I had ling with new potatoes and veg. I'd not had that type of fish before but it was delicious as were the accompaniments. The only slight downside was the portion was quite small - it was so good I would've liked more! The surroundings are fabulous - you could almost be in the Med!

Visited here for our second time and its still as great. Lovely light options or main meals if needed. We opted for the carbonara which really was beautiful! Unfortunately our experience was ruined by a woman who decided to breast feed straight infront of us and the other diners. Really not on in such a public place when large family bathrooms are available so close by. Will be visiting again if we return to the eden project.

We ate here last Wednesday and it was great! Our son has a number of food allergies so we'd been in correspondence with customer services beforehand and agreed we would eat here. Upon arrival, the head chef was well informed and was able to provide a safe meal for our son. We all had a delicious lunch in a lovely environment (even our one year old was relaxed!). A big thank you to Brenda Brett & the head chef for helping make it a wonderful family day out.

We loved the summer house, and had such a relaxing stay! Delicious breakfasts, a spotless and comfortable room, lovely garden and amazing hosts Kirsten and Trevor! They were so welcoming and we felt at ease straight away. Tea/coffee and snacks available at the larder were a great touch too - especially enjoyed in the garden! Having evening drinks available was wonderful too. The summer house is perfectly situated too to either stroll into penzance or explore newlyn/mousehold on foot. Really recommend! Photo of the beach taken a one minute stroll from the house.
