McDonalds Resturant in Mid Sussex

We asked for some mac sauce on a quater pounder and they said to us that they couldn't do it and that they’ve never done it, but we always got it there. The manager Liam accused me of lying. After i got home i realised out order we was missing 2 portions of chips and our cokes were only filled half way, which was obviously done on purpose. Being accused of lying was very disrespectful and rude. I also would have better customer care from Mac Donlads

We went through the drive thru at around 12.20pm today and were served by three very helpful and polite members of staff - two ladies and a young gentleman with short dark hair - all of them are a real credit to your restaurant in East Grinstead.

Spent £32 on 5 meals for my sons and their friend, the 6 chicken nuggets box only had 4, and a burger was missing. Poor drive through service!!!!

Surprised this place only has 2.5 stars. It’s cleaner than any McDonald’s I’ve ever been to in my life (been to a lot!) and the staff were completely fine. Would come here again.

We went to this McDonald’s drive through to collect an order made on the app. The girl taking orders was extremely rude and the girl handing out the food was even worse. Would never return.

What has happened to McDonald's? Isn't somewhere I would chose to eat or regularly visit but I can't remember the last time I got served hot food in one. Awful.

Check you've got what you ordered. Just picked up meal for family and got home to find two burgers and one other item missing. They were not even that busy. As its McDonalds expectations are fairly low but annoying when you don't get the food you paid for. Oh well more profit for them.

McD's coffee is always great and staff at East Grinstead use balloons creatively to brighten up the place. Other McDonalds are drab in comparison and it's a pleasure to see colour on a dull day.

Surely this place is under new management, there we're no familiar faces and a real bad vibe. A till assistant was unnecessarily confrontational, interrupted repeatedly over basic questions and had a rude and aggressive manner about her. The manager didn't want to hear an amicable expression of our experience and had didn't care.

So I took my family for a treat today, its quite a long way and we don't drive so, already an expensive treat. We ordered and some of our items we altered so, presumably, they would be cooked fresh. The order came to just under £50, fair enough, there's a few of us. Everything was cold. Most not even lukewarm. So disappointing, I managed about half a burger and 2 fries but that was it. It wasn't busy. The most disappointing thing is, in the past everything has been fresh and piping hot, im sure there's a review from me on their site to that effect.

I order from McDonald's via Uber Eats quite frequently. Every time the order turns up the food is half cold and usually something is missing. They always fail to supply serviettes so I end up wiping my greasy hands on a towel also. I really must refrain from using McDonalds East Grinstead in future as the service (via Uber Eats) is ridiculously poor. I often phone to complain but am always hit with the line "sorry we are really busy at the moment". They always use this line of response to what, quite frankly, is a really poor service that when ordered online in black and white, should not turn up wrong with cold food and items missing. Bear in mind that users of Uber Eats have to pay a premium for this service and it doesn't come cheap. So when your food is cold and some of it is missing, a response of "sorry, we are busy" doesn't really cut it! Please, to all future customers of McDonalds East Grinstead, DO NOT ORDER FROM UBER EATS! YOUR FOOD WILL BE COLD AND SOME OF IT WILL BE MISSING. THEY WILL ALSO EXPECT YOU TO WIPE YOUR GREASY HANDS ON YOUR LEG AS SELDOM DO THEY BOTHER TO SUPPLY YOU WITH ANY SERVIETTES! STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

The food is never hot here always luke warm and they always forget something make sure to check your order before you leave otherwise it’s a drive back around

Very poor show, wanted to stop on route from London to Eastbourne. As I went to turn in, I was pointed to the inner queue. As I wanted the car park, I needed the outer lane. There was basically no chance to get out. I had no choice but to pick up my order, from the window and go to a local car park to eat. No chance to use the loo and freshen up!

To the lovely man always outside doing the drive through, you are doing an amazing job and i hope you get recognised for your work! it’s so clear he loves what he does, even in the rain he’s smiling and waving at everyone, so lovely...

Just ordered a breakfast and it tasted lovely (sausage and egg mc muffin) however the down side was the presentation. The sausage was barely in the bun. We’ve also experienced this with the burgers last night.

We popped in for a a quick meal to save time cooking. We were really surprised that it had none of the modern electronics you find in the modernised restaurants, order screens and kids modules. The staff are friendly, polite and welcoming. The food is hot, quick and tasty and the coffee is hot and has a good aroma. There is plenty of parking, and for those that want there is a drive through.

Have eaten here only when my children's pestering gets too much.. Unbelievably always busy, I dont,t understand this, the food is very greasy and with a family, very expensive considering the poor quality of food.

Pretty standard fare, but the staff have always been very polite and efficient. Very handily placed for me as I drive straight past it on some of my longer journeys to see my family, so it's convenient to stop there for some food on the way. Plenty of parking and usually very tidy.

I was served by Angela today and her customer service was extremely appalling she didn’t listen to a word I said. Too busy chatting to her friends in the next queue, everytime I asked her for something she looked at her friends rolled her eyes and made other facial expressions. I work within the food industry and know how to conduct myself in front of customers. I would advice everyone to avoid being served by Angela. My fries were cold my burgers we only just warm. Popped in for an ice cream, which was a meal in itself. Huge portioned Mc Flurries at a bargain 99p for dairy Milk. Our granddaughter enjoyed a 99. Shame it has no outdoor seating, even though on a main road. Friendly staff. Our granddaughter was happy to be asked if she would like a balloon.Not a lover of McDonalds food, but the ice creams are amazing.

Far from fast food, if I had wanted to park my car and wait I would have used the car park in the first place and gone in and ordered - that might have been quicker.

Tried the drive through here but still had to wait for the food to be delivered to the car -Mayo Chickens' - as they were not ready although when they came they were very hot so must have been cooked fresh - staff were ok but not over friendly

Went here today for a drive through take away of burgers and chicken mayo burgers as well as Teas and was pleasantly surprised as the staff were efficient, professional and the food was hot although we did have to wait for the chicken mayo burgers but at least they were fresh and hot!

I come to this particular McDonalds fairly regularly and the line even if small moves very slowly, the staff are pretty demotivated and would rather concentrate on their own conversation than serve people faster, food is often cold but when on the ball which they are occasionally they’re great.

Today I am writing to counter many criticisms I have seen on this website. Many people seem to be complaining about the wrong order. For me that's great, I live a simple life with not much excitement so when I receive a mcflurry instead of a hash brown I get the adrenaline kick I've been craving. It really spices things up not knowing what you will get. A 5/5 rating will be given if delivery ever starts.

Todo me usar esta unidad a través de la orden es incorrecto. Es correcto en la pantalla. Comida en la bolsa nunca es justo. Hoy por ejemplo. No pollo fresco mayo leyenda lettace. Tengo el caliente y picante, mayonesa con como. Aquí lettace como podrían llegar en el follón.

On Saturday my daughter and her boyfriend purchased a drive-through, amongst the order was a cheeseburger with no mustard, pickle or onion (ie only meat, cheese and ketchup required), the cashier repeated the order correctly, however when they got home to eat it the cheeseburger turned out to be a bun and onion, no meat, no cheese, no ketchup, just a bun and onion. As it was after 10.30 pm they decided not to drive back and complain. On Sunday morning I took the receipt to McDonalds and spoke to the manager who firstly offered to put my daughter's name on the customer book so that when she came again she would get a free 'correct' cheeseburger order, told them I was not happy with that as she didn't tend to eat many McDonalds, and that a refund would be preferable, was then told it was not their normal policy as they should have a) checked the food order before driving away, b) should have taken the order back and c) that without seeing the food their policy was not to refund. After a lengthy conversation I managed to get the 99p back and asked that they discuss with the cashier and possibly offer more training. Having myself worked in McDonalds Croydon when in my teens I know the importance of good customer service and don't think I received this from East Grinstead. Yes perhaps the order should have been checked prior to driving away and a lesson has been learnt but that would then have compromised the 'quality' of the food (had it been correct) before it was ready to be eaten. Poor service from East Grinstead

Having worked for McDonald's many years ago,whilst at uni, and having family members who are still working there- I know that McDonalds are capable of excellent customer service. Yesterday was the most disappointing visit in many many years. Down visiting a poorly member of my family, I decided the easiest way to feed my family was to go through the drive through. I'm a vegetarian but really dislike their veggie burgers so just basically decided to ask for a salad roll- basically a burger with no meat. Crazy as it sounds, quite common. The lady taking my order didn't really get it and I could see that it had been entered incorrectly but she assured me that she would order it for me with the kitchen. Got to the window where you get the food and it was actually quite chaotic. I was asked again what it was I ordered and I repeated again. There was a shirted manager behind the young girl flicking through the screen saying that she couldn't see my order. I was given all of my food and I decided to pull over and check mine. It was wrong- as suspected- but to be honest I wasn't overly worried , just thought I would live with it and get back to feed the children. Didn't think for a second I needed to check the kids happy meals. Got back and one of the kids was missing their toy! Tried to ring but nobody was going to answer so gave up. Now I know mistakes happen but it actually seemed like chaos there and I didn't have one mistake but two. Having worked for mcds for many years when I was studying, I actually know that it isn't that hard. The best part of the job for me was interacting with the public and making sure they went away happy. Yesterday customer service was sadly lacking. They were so busy, they didn't actually listen to my order properly twice and then to leave a kids toy out! How??

Never again I have nothing good to say about this place the staff are like robots.very little interaction with customers. Food average as you would expect from McDonald's. Won't be back.and would recommend u walk straight past.

As with all McDonald's, good food, good service, good prices. Service is quick, and the restaurant is clean and well kept.Not much else can be said for any restaurant in this franchise.

This is my local McDonald's, the place is a shambles. Nearly all of the staff are typical greasy spotty teenagers apart from a older fat gentleman who I assume is the manager, he has a terrible attitude & no manners. The food always arrives warm(ish) not hot and is just thrown into the bags meaning it's squashed. (See pic)The only reason I have been using this McDonald's is the FREE food. I had a few monopoly vouchers for free items but the staff are so gormless they never take the vouchers so I used them time & time again. If I was paying I would much rather visit the KFC or Dominos on the high street. I gave it 1/5 and that's because of the free items. Once monopoly ends I won't be returning.

Popped here after leaving London Gatwick Airport by car and used the drive through area of the Restuarant The staff were pleasant and quick and although they had to bring our order to the car as it wasn't already cooked, we didn't have to wait very long at allThe coffee was to the usual standard and the car park, although on a main road was very cleanRecommended

Standard McDonald's for you, nothing special. Compared to the previous reviews, I've always had no issues with the food at this place from either the drive thru or when eating in.

If you want a drive through - it is good most of the time. Fairly quick and get the order right.It is not as good if you want to eat in, the atmosphere is not so pleasant. We got cleaning staff trying to talk to us and touching our children. Normally we like being left alone if we go somewhere.

We get drive thru from here every now and again. Sometimes it's pretty good, hot food that's good for a quick bite. Other times it's terrible. Cold chewy nuggets and floppy chips, yuk! Often get order wrong, last visit I ordred a wrap and a nugget meal, got a smoothie and a burger!

I just ordered my food over drive through, the order was incorrect and then my worst nightmares my chips had a human hair as well, called and demanded full meal to be replaced, so took it back the meal and it was replaced and on top a free ice cream but no apology from the staff serving, I expected very highly from company as it had five star rated establishment, be careful I find them not very hygienic

large clean car park with easy access.The food we ordered, including a Veggie Deluxe with extra cheese and pickles was all served quickly and was hot.The lady serving us was very nice and overall this is one of the best McDonalds i have visited. We used this today on our way through East Grinstead & thought that as it was quite late at night, the service would have been slack and slow.Well I must say I was pleasantly surprised, which at any McDonald's is quite rare nowadays.The order was taken efficiently, politely and succinct by the server.I drove to the first window and paid easily. When I got to the last window the food was already in the bag waiting for us.When the bag was opened, the food was piping hot and fresh.Well done McDonald's East Grinstead - keep up the good service.One thing though - when turning into the drive through be very careful if you take the first lane as the turning is extremely tight.Recommended

but always check what is in the take away bag as most times we go, the order is wrong! Staff are always helpful and apologetic when it goes wrong. What can we say, McDonalds is just yummy

Not the kind of place I would typically write a review on, but to be honest I'm sick to death of visiting this place and coming away annoyed that the one thing they need to do, they can never do correctly, and thats assuming you can get one of their teenagers who can actually 'speak' English rather than mumble at you.The GoodNot much really.. Their coffee and muffins are actually very good.The ServiceThere are couple of people who work here who seem to have been here since it opened, and while they may sometimes appear a little vacant, they try their best to be friendly. Served at the counter and you have a higher chance of getting the right order, and best of all you can take it back and get it sorted out.Drive ThruThis is where this place really excels in poor levels of service - I would say 75% of the time they get the order wrong. Some of the problem might be that the window where they take the orders from those stupid boxes where they cant hear you shout at them usually has a couple of kids in there mucking around, so they are not really paying much attention.Confirm your order.. drive to the next window, pay your money, and drive to the collection window.. It's not hard is it?Apparently it is.. sitting at the pick up window observing the chaos inside is sometimes quite amusing, often amazed at how you have to wait up to 10 minutes in the tiny waiting parking bay for a standard burger.. fast food this place certainly isn't.When you don't have to do that, you can watch them pick your burger, shove it in a bag and then place it next to the window while they wait for the rest of the order.. nice draft ensuring that your food will be nice and cold when you finally get the wrong order.However the main reason for actually bothering to get this place added and write a review is to warn of the following..75% of the time your drive thru order WILL be wrong, their staff cannot read both a screen and a print out - clueless.Burgers are thrown in the box, there must be some competition who can create a mess in a box the quickest, open the box expecting to see a picture of delicious food? Nahhh what you see is a mess that you know once you've eaten, you'll be sat on the bog as your body reject and ejects the dire mess that has been sold to you.Chips.. thrown in the bottom of the bag followed by a box chucked on top for good measure, good way to ensure your seats get covered in chip fat, and are cold by the time you get home (along with the other crap in the bag unless its meant to be cold).We all know Maccy D's is a place that we dive for some cheap quick food, so I can't be too harsh, but come on, how hard is it to get an order correct? The quality control in this place does NOT exist.This place should have been a KFC or better still a Burger King, or maybe bring back the dump White Lion that was there before.This is by FAR the worst McDonalds I have ever been to, they should have their franchise removed.
