Mcdonald's Restaurants in Mid Sussex

Order took unnecessarily long and the time for expected delivery kept increasing. Food was found in a way that looked like it was just "thrown" into the bag. Chips were upside down and the boxes were half opened. Everything was cold upon arrival.

awful service once again waited over one hour maybe more. never improves staff is slow. The manager only cares about the deliverydrivers but I have to come here as it’s the only place in Burgess Hill you can’t even go to KFC part 2 we came back to this slow establishment called mcdonald and had to WAIT 20 odd minutes and was told 2 this is TEN TIMES MOVE THAN I WAS TOLD AND THE GUYS THAT WAS BRING THE FOOD TO THE CARS Brought them out one at a time sort this out with a new Manager

Food was freezing cold and the chips were wet

The drink was totally flat and no ice the chips not even cooked properly and very cold. Terrible !

If you want half of your order missing, not follow custom instructions and not answer the phone after trying for 2 minutes straight - order from here! Great if you're supposed to be on a diet

Food was really good for once and they remembered everything

I ordered 4 sauces and none of them came. The worst part was there was no toy in the happy meal, leaving my child distressed and unhappy. I had to suffer the consequences of no toy. The food was cold and my mozzarella sticks were hard.

The Just Eat app told us before the order that delivery would take 30-45 minutes. This was increased to over an hour when the order was made at 12:08. Our order arrived at 14:00. Everything was cold. We live less than a mile from the McDonald's we ordered from. Absolutely terrible experience..

Just had a delivery with two large iced lattes, both of which were only half full when they arrived, and the rest had come out in the bag. This is because the staff had sent the drinks out without full enclosed lids, so most of the drinks got spilt before delivery. Not good. Don't sent out drinks with holes in the lids for liquid to escape during delivery. Simple physics. Also the burger and fries were cold upon arrival!

The food here is on par with any McDonald's but I'd warn against anyone stopping off here if they're looking for something fast. The drive through moves at a snails pace and service inside isn't much better. 7am Jan 20th. Stopped for breakfast at 7am today. Waited at the ordering terminal and heard nothing. Drove round to the payment and collection windows and there were no staff present. Guess the staff couldn't get out of bed in time for 7am service?

For the 2nd time in as many weeks, my order was incomplete again from this branch. Maybe the computerised system used nowadays is unfit for purpose. Or maybe the orders are too complicated to process correctly. I think McDonalds in general rely on take away customers no bothering to return for just one missing item costing £3,49. Both times I have tried to call the restaurant, but the phone is never answered. Really not impressed with the process of checking the order is correct BEFORE leaving the premises.

More often than not, the original delivery time gets pushed back. This occasion was one of those. Good was also cold which makes me think it may have been sitting on the side waiting to be collected.

absolutely shocking experience waited nearly 2 hours from order being placed, rang mcdonalds at half 7 to be told our food has already been sent out which it hasdnt we then recieved it at 8.20pm and all of it was freezing, the drinks were flat and smoothie was like water no Straws no sauces absolute joke I want a full refund

I ordered 4 happy meals to please my neices and nephews as they love sonic the hedgehog and we got the toy before hand. Im very disappointed to order something that seems to be promised by the adverts and receive something different. To add to it I asked for banana milkshakes and didn’t receive any. I really hope that this branch can improve on there service but please be known they’ve ruined a family treat

By far the worst McDonalds I've been to. Slow service compounded by takeaway orders seemingly taking precedence over eat in orders. 25 minutes wait for a basic breakfast order is not fast food. Delivery is worse, incredibly slow and missing items, plus the food is always cold. Give it a wide berth

Sometimes the service here is really good, when it goes wrong, they can be reasonable compensators. However this MacDonalds is so busy. The traffic caused by the drive through gets all over town, almost as pervasive as the greasy smell on a windy day. I’d tell them they’ve lost a customer because it’s so busy but they can’t hear me over the noise of new customers clamouring for more burgers… Just an update at start of 2025, waited 27 minutes for my order when it wasn’t busy, no queues, manager, after 20 minutes, asked the staff to upgrade the meals to large and when they arrived, still mediums!

Just upsets me that there is always goods missing from my order and it’s not a small amount. It’s annoying. Not sure if it’s the restaurant or the driver honestly but this need to be sorted out

Went for a coffe to be told we arnt doing coffee as we have run out of beans, this place (can't really call it a restaurant as that would imply you can get what's on the menu) really needs new management

Save yourself and go to a different McDonald’s!!! Honestly the most terrible McDonald’s. Has been for years and they just don’t change. They clearly don’t care because look at their reviews. I live locally and would rather drive and extra 15 minutes to a different McDonald’s. You will wait over half and hour for a coffee for it to be half full or cold. In the space of me waiting half and hour for one coffee 6 other people complained, food cold, one woman had no coffee in her cup, one had waiting nearly 45 minutes for breakfast! The list goes on. Their focus is on delivery and if they carry on like this they are going to end up shutting down just having no customers. They don’t bother changing it, they have had issues for years and years and clearly the right management and the right team have not been bought in to deal with a busy face passed environment. People go here for fast food. I can promise you it’s not fast.

the food was good, it was hot and all there which I cannot complain about but the delivery guy is just another one of many that don't make the effort. Surely they have the same delivery map that we can see on the just eat app , it's like they just drive the streets for the fun of it instead of actually trying to find where to deliver.

I ordered at 12:30pm on Friday 13th. Order finally came at 13:56. It got here the order was missing two burgers. The food freezing cold. I live without exaggeration a 2 minuet drive from the restaurant. I understand the weather and the food might be warm. But I didn’t expect old cold fries, that had obviously been sat there. I then drove to the restaurant to get my whole order. And the cold food replaced. And I’ve just got home and again I’m missing food. The mc spicey burger. I expect a refund.

Originally, it was supposed to be delivered at 17:40, then time move up to 17:52. Then, when i check, a quarter pounder is missing. This means one of my kids will not eat tonight.

Ordered from this McDonald's 3 times now and every single time I have had parts of my meal missing and a long call to Uber eats to sort it out. How difficult is it to read the receipt.

The last time I am ever going to burgess hill McDonald’s. Every time you use drive thu, you have to park up, even when the place is empty. Sat waiting for a simple muffin meal for over 15mins, late for work and when I went back round to ask for a refund they point blank refused! Now I’m going to have to ask for a chargeback in my credit card Awful place.

Abysmal, food was expected by 18:15 ordering at 17:23, it then kept changing and arrived after 20:30! Half was missing and all that was received as stone cold. Unacceptable and it went into the bin as we ate something else! Unacceptable and I expect a full refund.

The worst ever - there is not a drive through service at this place - waiting 23/30 mins in the car park is the norm here
