The Uber Eats is a scam, watching your meal doing a tour of Hastings is frustrating. It took over an hour from order to arrive. The burgers & fries were stone cold and the McFlurry’s had melted. Never again.

Normally they just miss some items from the order and charge you anyway, but given it was a small order the only other way they could mess it up is by being late and cold. This is in St Leonards on Sea and not Hastings. I'm a stickler for this kind of thing. I'd no more say this place was in Hastings than I would say the Angel of the North was in Middlesbrough. Anyway, as far as this place is concerned, it is the same as any other McDonalds. I was impressed with the staff (or at least the "older" members of staff), who seemed nice, and with the presence of some coloring sheets and crayons for little ones. This was a nice addition and made having an occasionally fussy 2 year old a lot easier. However, the wait time for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin reached about 7 minutes, and we found ourselves being placed behind people in the drive-thru, who were ordering after we had ordered, and receiving their food (and leaving) before we had received ours, so for that reason I am bumping them down from the standard McDonalds 3/5 to a 2/5. That aside, it is the same as the other 394,000,000,000,000 McDonald's blighting our green and pleasant land.

It's more of a treat really for us, so not a regular pit stop in our eating habits, but we stopped by for two big Mac's. Service was fast and we used the drive through, however having got the order and left, we qickly realized both burgers were really dry and the sauce within the burger was missing. I suffer with swallowing issues, whereby dry food sticks in my throat, so overly dry food is something i try to avoid, this burger was awful. As it was a treat, this visit was a real disappointment and without my drink I would definitely have choked on my food. Sad really, but I probably won't frequent Macdonalds again following this experience. Having briefly looked at other reviews, missing items are clearly an issue, but I could see no reviews on missing condiments, which form the integral ingredients of the dish. How is this possible? Unacceptable really for nearly £7 each.

This McDonald's is especially hopeless! Placed an order via the app on the way home from an evening out with the kids as a quick and easy tea. Went in to collect. Service was fairly quick. Was about to leave when I realised we were missing 2 of the 4 drinks. Collected those, quickly checked we had enough burgers and left. Get home to discover we were missing my sons cookie - he's 7 so is a catastrophic event for him - and no condiments we'd ordered. Is it really that hard to make sure an order is correct? Maybe having 2 lads compiling one order isn't the way to go. Maybe they need to just have one person packing a whole order so they can make sure everything is there and not assume the other person has done it? What is it about McDonald's employees that they have zero interest in getting orders right? This isn't the first time this has happened. Yet, it's the closest fast food place to us - and the only one we have even the slimmest chance of still being vaguely warm by the time we get it home - so we make the mistake of returning.

Just come back from Mac Donald’s after ordering some food via the app and collecting upon arrival. This isn’t the first time we’ve done this, and we have used the drive thru as well as their restaurant. I honestly don’t know why we use this particular restaurant, I guess cos it’s close to home. But the amount of times we always have something missing is on par with the amount of times we’ve frequented the place. Tonight was no exception. However tonight has got to be the worst experience to date. Not only did we wait for 15 minutes for our food to be delivered to the parking bay, (we would have been quicker going through the drive thru) and in fairness we use this service thinking it would be quicker. But half our order was missing and stupidly I trust these idiots every single time to get our order right. I can’t believe we are the only customers that experience this … regularly, and you can’t even get through on the phone to complain. So off I went back to the restaurant, nice little drive once more 🙄, walk in and straight up to the little box counter where staff clearly don’t want to interact with other human species. I stood right up at the counter… not 1, not even 2 but 3 young men all completely ignored me, didn’t even gain eye contact with me. Not once. Not at all. (First rule of customer service is to gain eye contact with the customer… first rule… acknowledge your customer - yes I’m from a customer service background if you couldn’t tell). They just plodded along like a bunch of sloths making up their orders. Paint would have dried quicker! Until eventually I decided to interrupt their brain cells from functioning to ask to speak to the duty manager. Eventually one of the sloths returned and mumbled something to me along the lines of someone is coming… now I thought it would be the bloke in a white shirt, grey trousers, which I could clearly see working to the side of the 3 sloths. Eventually when “the shift manager” came… it wasn’t the man I was expecting… it was a female, glasses, reddish hair, fleece zipped up to her neck. Curious I thought being that the heat today has been 30 degrees and they’re working in a fast food environment… everyone else was in short sleeved garments. I explained the situation… politely… she asked to take a screen shot of my order from my phone… not sure why, as she didn’t explain and off she went. Started to twiddle my thumbs at one point as I couldn’t understand what was taking so long. Long enough to see the man in a white shirt and grey trousers… presumably the shift manager/duty manager walk past pushing the mop and bucket. She eventually returned asking was there any fries missing … even though I said what was missing and pointed them out to her on my phone that she took a screen shot of. And off she went again to get the small fries. And then disappeared. She eventually came back, handed me the bag and said sorry. WOW!!! I know for a fact that that is NOT how you deal with a complaint and appalling service received by a customer. I know this as I have been a manager of a couple of different businesses as well as owning my own business and also dealing with complaints in a multitude of levels. I’m disgusted in their customer service. This world is becoming more and more obsolete from having any contact with humans it seems. MacDonald’s… your staff need decent training… it’s shockingly crap. Both with the 3 sloths and the “shift manager”. I wasn’t even offered anything as a result of the inconvenience caused. Your staff need training in ensuring orders going out match what the customer has paid for. Your staff need to be trained in how to engage with customers and acknowledging them instantly from the moment they set foot near you… and trust me I wasn’t standing in the background… I went straight up to the counter… they couldn’t have missed me!!! I’m not someone that blends. Your “shift managers” need to know how to handle complaints especially if they regularly make errors. Yes it’s just food, yes it’s just a meal, yes who cares… that seems to be the attitude of so many these days but I spent £30 and that included 2 burgers and fries that I exchanged points on… so it would have been more like 40 odd quid which is a treat for some people these days with the cost of living going up. Not only that my family and I didn’t get to sit down together to eat. So thanks macdonalds. Thanks for your “sorry” - this will be heading to head office too as I’m fed up with frequenting your restaurant and constantly missing something. I usually let it slid but I’m done! Beside why should I let something slid when I’ve paid for it… but… I guess I’m typically British. Only enter this establishment if you need to use the loos as I really can’t see what other benefit there is to coming here. They regularly don’t have the promotional food available, miss things off orders, terrible, in fact shockingly awful customer service. And food is at best warm.

Mimi the Manager was an absolute delight during my visit with my two young children! She had so much time for them and came and chatted to us lots, giving them colouring, crayons and balloons to take home. She told them stories about her life and they thought she was amazing, she really made our visit! A really credit to the restaurant! Hopefully she's there again when we go back!

I couldn’t believe that the driver who delivered our food was smoking a cigarette when he came to the door. He had our food in one hand and a fag in the other then took a draw of it as I opened the door. When I contacted McDonald’s they said he doesn’t work for McDonald’s so it’s nothing to do with us. St Leonard’s McDonalds - why, on the last three occasions of using the Drive Thru, have you taken my order and my payment then, when I come to collect my food, do you ask me to park up?! The whole point of using the Drive Thru is so that you don’t have to park in the very small/tight car park, and this, therefore, completely misses the point of using the Drive Thru. We decided to treat ourselves to a McDonald’s takeout as we did not have much time ,it seemed logical that the drive in option would be ideal as it is obviously much quicker than going into the restaurant. We went straight to the order point and were the only ones there.our order was taken within a minute and we move to the payment window and paid immediately,I said to my wife, I have never seen this place so empty,good as we were in a hurry.we then moved to the next window to get our food only to be told,can you move on and park in the car park ,someone will bring it to you when we’ve got it ready, my wife said ,how will you know where we are , the staff member said they will find you by your number plate. How can this possibly be acceptable,the whole system is designed to allow you to drive in, get your food and drive out . Why do they not tell you that there is a delay when they take payment, instead of allowing you to approach the window and be told to find a place in the car park. It was at this point that we realised that in was in fact very busy,almost all of the parking spaces were full of customers waiting for food to be taken to their cars, and a number of staff seemed to be roaming aimlessly around the car park,they were in fact carrying trays with bags of food , looking for the correct car number plate .as you can imagine the food was not at all hot by the time they got to us ,we had waited 17 minutes , I have no idea how much of that time was spent on the tray travelling around the car park , and it was in fact cold before we got home . This is in the second time we have been told to find a space and we have only ever been there three times. We have however been to many other drive through restaurants and this branch in Hastings is the only place that can’t seem to grasp what fast food is about . The place seems to be inundated with members of staff, in fact so many that they were standing in groups chatting and laughing, though it’s wonderful to see youngsters happy in their work ,it seems that good supervision and management would solve most of the issues here,as is evident in most other drive through restaurants. To summarise , if you can’t provide the service that the whole building was built and set up for , them please say so before allowing people to place their order ,pay for the food then be told to find a parking space .

Usually McDonalds food an standard of service is good between branches. Every so often one encounters a branch that's in need for improvement; this is such a branch, indicated by the overall review score. As is normal nowadays the expectation is that customers place orders using touchscreens, the approach normally works well. However, in this case something was awry because food was noticeably slow coming out; this meant that the relatively small waiting area was very crowded to the point where people were forced to lean on the tissue/condiment stand. My diagnosis of this issues here is that team leadership and management is possibly not the best. I say this because staff appeared to be directionless and had to cope without any obvious higher-level organisation to ensure flow of food.

Having not had a McDonald's in months we thought we would treat the kids. Queing was ok as drive through only available. Only waited 10/15 minutes. We got our food and parked up literally over the road. Our food was cold, such a dissapointment. Reluctant to eat there again as this isnt the first time we've been served a cold burger. We are community NHS nurses and as we wore working on New years day, we decided to treat ourselves to a Macdonalds breakfast.When we went to pay and ask for the blue light discount, we wore told only Ambulance staff, Policeman or the Army can get discount, Not nurses !!!!The lady in charge told us that a NHS Mental health nurse was abusive, so the area manager has now ruled that no NHS Nurses are allowed the Discount.Surely this is Discrimination, against the hard working NHS staff.

Go through the drive thru and ask for two meals and two saver menu items. A simple easy order. One happy meal one Big Mac meal and two small burgers. To which they some how manage to forget the Big Mac? All I have is chips that are awful. Cold and hard and clearly cooked a very long time ago. When I called I was asked if it was possible to come back. Which I couldn’t as it took me twice as long to get home because of temporary traffic lights causing an extra amount of traffic. So I was offered a free medium meal the next time I go in. Now to some this is like okay great thanks. I don’t think so seen as in I’ve payed for a Big Mac. And don’t have a Big Mac. So next time I get it free but it’s not really free is it? because I’ve paid for it already... i didn’t have time to argue over the phone as I have to work and don’t exactly fancy arguing over a poxy burger. But this is ridiculous to come home and every single item of food we do have, is stone cold and clearly cooked a long time ago and the main part of 1 out of 2 meals isn’t even there...

Regulars to the place, me and my girlfriend popped in for a quick order. It was packed so we decided to take away which of course was a mistake. It was empty in the waiting area so getting in and out seemed fine but OH NO IT WASNT. We waited over half an hour for our food and a steadily climbing number of other customers grew behind us equally angry at waiting to the point one man shouted “is he chasing the cow out there?!” By the time we received our order the place was empty so we sat and enjoyed our Luke warm deflated chips before going home like we’ve just worked a 9 hour shift.

Came back and in the rush to get food home for the kids and being on my own did not check bags. They didn't put in 20 chicken nuggets, missed a drink and and also a double cheeseburger. The newly refurbished drive through is an absolute disaster, what were they thinking. It is totally unacceptable to have to wait 20mins in the car park where the only space was a disabled bay. The order when it eventually arrived was wrong but the queue was out onto the road so we didn't bother changing, just got out of the shocking chaos. Won't be returning.

Went to new drive through it was busy and no protection from heavy rain. Asked to wait in car park it was hard to find a space we waited 10minutes before a member of staff was seen wandering around with a wet bag of good x we were given this and we left but found along out journey it wasn't our order we couldn't go back so just aye it x re furb hasn't improved the experience.

Absolute chaos at the drive through, horrendous queue, cars parked up everywhere in the lanes waiting for food to be brought out. We waited for over 20 minutes before we had to go inside and ask for our food and for our ice creams to be replaced as they had melted.

I used to pop in here for a quick takeaway breakfast, never again. Sometimes the McMuffins are a bit black around the edges, sometimes the egg in the McMuffin is a bit brown greasy, but that is what you would expect from a second class fast food outlet.

Nos unimos una fiesta de cumpleaños en una atracción cerca (1066) con un objetivo deportivo mcdonalds comida para todos los niños. Presentamos nuestra lista para 15 comidas diferentes al miembro del equipo que en la primera estaba un poco nervioso pero enseguida solicitó ayuda y luego el equipo fuimos a sobremarcha. We joined the queue, expecting a long wait. Order taken quickly by a staff member with an ipad. Quickly travelled round to the payment window, onto the food window. Good speed throughout.Food was decent - spice level in burger was good. Chips hot and cooked to McD's standard.

What an experience!!' Remembered for all the wrong reasons,Chips were so salty they were inedable, burger was cold and and the bottom of the bun was soggy, over 1/2 a cup of ice in the drink when I asked for no ice!!! Still I suppose that's one way of ensuring you give minimum product for maximum income!

Visited for my boyfriend and I's usual order, the burger I asked for was thrown together in a box too small for it and was practically unassembled in the box, the order was taken as a meal which wasn't asked for so I payed for food I didn't know I was getting. The ice creams I ordered had no spoons with them and it was cold by the time they gave them to me. I was with my boyfriend at the time of ordering via the drive thru and the window I was asked to pay at I felt uncomfortable as the guy who offered me the card machine 'teased' me with it in what can be given as flirting by avoiding my hand and winking when I obviously caught on to what he was doing after thinking there was something wrong with the reader. Would not go to this mcdonalds again.

Nine times out of ten you are asked to park up and wait for your food. If this is a drive-thru they really ought to be able to deliver fast, hot food. We've even had to wait for food from their regular menu like Big Mac or cheeseburgers. Always check your order, we've had a bun without the burger and also half the order missing!

Once again I have been asked to park and wait for food. Nothing to do with the time of night as I have also had to park up for breakfast and lunch. Absolutely appalling service - Park up and wait or have a refund! Every time for the last month! Apparently it's because it's a franchise and not really McDonald's except that it is. Head Office would be totally disgusted. I have worked for McDonald's and I know how they train, the current management needs retraining.

We visit McDonalds once every blue moon, so this was a rare visit when we had an early morning breakfast of Sausage and egg McMuffin and a coffee before leaving this county. I now know that the meal was 565 K cals, it was written on the wrapper.... Oh well I enjoyed it, service was pretty quick and the price was just right!

I'm not a big fan of McDonalds but sometimes it is just OK for a quick refuel. This one has to be the worst though. Monosyllabic staff and food (sort of) with all the taste of carpet underlay in a cardboard bun. One bite was enough. It's what Australians would call a chew and spew! Avoid.

This restaurant and drive through is everything you c an expect from the McDonalds brand. Clean, quick and polite staff.There's not much else you can say really as everyone knows this brand and my feedback is only clarifying that this is as good as all the rest.There is a hotel across the road if you are a traveller who need a room for the night and a petrol station over the road too - it's all in a good location.

Went thru drive thru. Had to wait is Waiting Space for my food to be cooked. These spaces are tiny and not at the right angle. I parked in number 3, my car is pretty long, the car behind me couldn't get through, forcing me to pull forward, when i reversed back again the high curbs damaged my bumper, this burger ended up costing me £230! So think it's safe I am too worried to visit this one again.

Never experienced an establishment so inept at such a simple job. Reliably and consistently leave out whole items from an order. Just paid £10 for a tower meal (large chicken burger) for it to arrive with what looks like a very small, old and inedibly chewy chicken nugget serving as the chicken in the burger, completely rancid.

Arrived for brunch at 11.40am waited in a slow queue got to till at 12.02 not allowed the brunch. Due to being past 12, totally silly. Ordered croissants, not allowed after 12! Ordered banana milk shake not available! Took forever to arrive once we did get an order excepted🙄
