McDonald's in Harrogate

Some of the staff serving customers need to work on their personal hygiene as the body odour is truly off-putting when about to eat!

Don’t order delivery from here they hide the orders away from the drivers and then they ask for them takes them forever to give them resulting in cold food

Prone to get orders wrong, so doubke check it all.

They had some system’s issues but couldn’t be more kind and helpful! Great staff.

The counter staff member and duty manager went the extra mile to help with my order. I like those pickles!

Clean and friendly but the Bread Buns and Burgers are tiny. Reasonably tasty but not Value for Money.

I went through the drive thru on my way to Harrogate. I ordered, paid and my food was there when I arrived to pick it up.all done in less then 5 mins. It was great.

Very poor customer service at both drive thru windows. No greeting or smile just a grunt. McDonald's need to improve this as it's not just this one, lots of staff playing shop and not focussed.

Loads of Uber eats types hanging about and you have to wait a long time tonget served. One good thing is they are focusing on service, a nice woman walks around talking to customers ensuring everything is ok. Nice touch.

Service was horrendous, I waited 10 minutes for a white coffee when there was only me in the place!! In the end I had to ask a member of staff cleaning the tables to go and ask them to do it for me

Most McDonald's are the same, and this one was lovely, but when we asked for some sauce from the server - they very begrudgingly handed one sauce over for two of us. Apart from that, great!

Plenty of parking, lots of ordering kiosks available. Food on the good side of typical McDonald's food.

Well this is one of the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to, rude staff, leave everyone waiting instead of moving the car in front who is obviously waiting for a special order to the waiting window and the to be served by a scruffy smelly woman who stunk like a ashtray, coughing and spluttering all over and her fingers were so yellow it made me feel sick when she had hold of my coffee on the lid with her dirty nicotine fingers and then passed me my stirring stick and sweetener with the same nicotine fingers, so the coffee went in the bin as I could still smell her 5 miles down the road, what an absolute disgrace touching peoples food and drink with them fingers Put gloves on or get washed you dirty unhygienic person

Called after hubby finished his shift at 1.45 am ordered 5 cheeseburgers a fries and a milkshake, absolutely no sauce on any of the burgers dry as chuff threw most away

A good McDonalds, hot tasty food and quick service. What more can you ask for? Maybe could be a bit cheaper but that's the way the world is going I suppose.

Haven't been here for very long time and won't be hurrying back. Attitude of staff shen ordering through the speaker was surly and disinterested. We asked if she was having a bad day and she said she ," can't wait to leave this place. Food was cold, burgers and chips ". Not a great experience at all

For a McDonald's this one actually serves food HOT, it makes a big difference from all the warm/cold I get given normally

Food was average, one staff member halie stunk and it put me off my food. I couldn’t wait to get me food and leave

General McDonalds food, breakfast out does the main menu as always. Difference with this one is it gets Really busy around lunch, people from the industrial & retail estate along with kids from the local school coming in makes it super busy and filled with a lot of the time loud, rude and messy teenagers acting to try show off to their buddies. Late nights it is fairly relaxed with people popping in from their travels and weekend is mainly families who have come shopping then popped for food so much nicer atmosphere.

We normally walk along the river at Knaresborough didn't realise how close McDonald's was to our route, so will be paying visits in the future during our walks

Never any milkshakes always out of order. So if your a milk shake lover, maybe give it a miss, everything else is fine, just expect a long wait each time. I've eaten in taken away but never had a delivery so can't comment on the delivery.

Ordered a McDonald’s through the “MCDONALDS” app. Food ordered at 12.55pm, received the food at 2.30pm, chips are white and cold, wouldn’t feed to a dog, nuggets are freezing and would make use as a door stop, McSpicy must be walking here cause it’s not in the bag with the rest of the food. Called the store directly, only to be told “we’re sorry” we’ll give you a free meal next time you come to the store, like they know who I am, also refunds can’t be done because it was done through the “McDonalds app” help me make sense of that. Long story short, will not be returning to this store. Cheers

Slow service, often with mistakes, very busy

Advertises one thing.... But it's a specific thing any deviation and price rockets, what meal deal was advertised as £3.99, ended up, nearly £7....takes edge off, Chips were tepid, so was burger and the shake was also so at least they were consistent.....

One of the better run McDonald's in York - usually pretty quick and food is always ok 😀

Not much to say as they are all pretty standardised these days. This one can get very busy and the wait is usually quite long. One to avoid at peak times.

Called in just after 9.30pm. Ordered a sandwich and mozzarella bites to eat in. No bites available, fair enough. 3/4 of the restaurant closed for cleaning, other 1/4 seats taken. I asked where do I eat my sandwich to be told I can eat outside - in the rain!! Will not step in foot of one of these awful establishments again. I have tried writing to McDonalds direct but they are snidey enough to receive compliments but not complaints. Disgusting Company.

Ordered via the app from inside the store, food came super quick. Premises were really clean and staff was very helpful.

Used to be one of the best McDonald's around but lately the service has been insanely slow. I think it's because they are more bothered about Drive-Thru times and targets. They also need to stop trying to boost wait times by printing off collection slips ages before the order is actually ready.

At this point a bog standard McDonald’s experience except they priorities the drive thru way too much and leaves customers inside sometimes waiting 20-30 mins

Coffee and a hot chocolate. No burgers or fries for us. It's a McDonald's so don't expect Michelin standard five star haute cuisine or beer for that matter, or snooty waiters.

Very slow service today. The staff didn't give the impression that they knew what they were doing. Food hanged over in silence with not even an apology for having to wait an inordinate length of time. Plenty of room for improvement.

It was decent. More expensive now so hard to justify but food was good and hot. Very very busy though.

Nice mcdonald's clean and tidy and happy friendly staff and a nice comfy sofa inside to sit on. Food was your average McDonald's handy when on the go and tasted better today with it been free! Used some points on the app 😁

Always what you expect and still good value

Had to stop off here as we had to get our tyre fixed close by .bought a few drinks while we were waiting and had the pleasure to chat with a member of staffcalled tom .what a lovely guy he chatted to us while we sat in the sun and we noticed how he was proud of his job he was and how he looked after his fellow employees .he is an absolute credit to mcdonalds and we would like to thank him for his attentive attitude .well done (even though he supports chelsea )

Drive through 26-1-22 around 16-00 Was asked if I could wait for a moment - no problem! Then when 4 other cars ordered before me this was unacceptable so I questioned the women taking orders, her response was extremely rude and disrespectful.

Family got together for a meal, grandkids choice definitely not mine. First visit for years and a lot worse than I remember. We had big macs and fries, kids had happy meals. The macs were cold and disintegrated in our hands, very messy. What kind of bun does this, not made for any fillings!! Fries were dry and cold. Kids seemed to like the nuggets. Cannot understand the queues for drive-thru as this food is not worth queuing for 🤮

Went today mainly to use the toilet but decided to have a burger whilst I was there - it would have been rude not to, talking of rude…there are ways to talk to customers and ways not to. Someone needs to have a word with the staff here and tell them that when a customer is stood at the counter waiting to order then one of the 4 members of staff needs to ask them if they can help and not keep them waiting. Then when you finally ask if you can help said customer needs to feel like they are valued. I did not. I left without food and drink wishing I had not given this establishment a second chance.

The food was freezing, drinks were flat one half full. The ice had already melted to small dots in all of them and WARM which means they had them sat on the side for much longer than it took to get our COLD order together. The fries were undercooked soggy and cold. The MANAGER was at the serving window faffing about with something completely ignoring us ( fine she’s faffing, but it manners to say I won’t be a minute especially from a MANAGER!) The next window the member of staff didn’t t say a single word. It’s a regular that either the gas or syrup or both have gone on the drinks and the staff are even poorly trained or just couldn’t careless. It’s not rocket science changing the gas or syrup!!

Visited McDonald's with my niece and nephews. Extremely helpful friendly staff. Especially Riley and Cam who assisted us with our order and delivering to our table. Riley explained the rewards scheme to us. Very happy staff. Definitely will visit again.

Be under no illusions, there is nothing fast about this takeaway. Even though they now have 2 lanes for the drive thru service, still long queues backing right up outside the retail park. A real hazard & useless service

Recently this McDonald’s has gone extremely down hill. Asked for a sweet chilli wrap and go not Mayo and with chilli. The staff don’t listen correctly and ultimately are lazy. Multiple times they have gave us an incorrect order or forgotten parts of the order. Not a happy customer.

We normally go out of our way to visit the Knaresborough branch as the food is normally hot and cooked well and generally all our order is there. Ripon is closer but never get order correct and food always cold and you never get a response when you message to highlight your concerns.Today at Knaresborough the girl taking the order was too busy talking to the lad behind her whilst taking our order so as a result we got the wrong burgers, the milkshake was warm and runny, the chips were stone cold, the chicken selects were rubbery and cold. £15 wasted

I am simply amazed, it must take a special talent to miss things from my order every time I visit your drive-thru, sour cream & chive dip is the essential to enjoy your 20 nugget share box yet somehow each time i’m suckered into paying 40p and receiving a bag of disappointment knowing i’m not going to go around the drive-thru again...

I visit this site regularly and I feel it’s both well run and clean , the staff are great and it’s relatively fast .

Why has one of the front outside tables become like the staff smoking quarters? It's disgusting. I've no problem with staff choosing to smoke on their breaks, but nowhere have I worked where this looks totally nasty. Grim, not the greatest advert.

The pain the next day after a visit here. Have been up since 4am. Big Tasty at 11.30pm last night and god do I hurt.The staff looked uninterested when we walked in, the whole place needed a clean but they were more concerned with who made them all a coffee. The employee who cooked the food threw it into the tray when he had "cooked" it.Knew at the time I should not eat it but was so hungry.......Live and learn, will never visit there again...Have had to contact McDonald's head office and keep the remains of the food.

Been here several times for a quick bite to eat and used their drive through - but from now on I shall be driving by - ok I can accept the odd lukewarm meal but here I have had just one too many - better to drive in to town (ok difficult to park) as the meals there are usually far better

Ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce and extra cheese! Opened my wrapper, was looking forward to seeing it oozing with cheese.....NO....the ‘cheese’burger came with no cheese and i was very disappointed with this. I was expecting to have a luscious meal after s long hard day but this was a dry atrocity.To top this off, the chips were stone cold (and i ain’t talking bout the wrestler) and there were no ketchup dispenser available so had to dispose of thy chips.Utterly disappointed with this, usually expect better for a quiet time! Clearly not valuing their customer requests!Hope this helps you improve in the future; the floor also looked covered in burger buns and nuggets, could attract dirty rodents.P.S. When we visit the St.James Retail Park,we treat ourselves to a McDonalds meal. Over the last few years we have enjoyed the food (chicken legends) and the lovely piping hot coffee.We have visited a McDonalds elsewhere and they had little cards on the table in a holder highlighting specials.Given the volume of people passing, sometimes one of us sits down to get a table/seat, this is realy useful, as it makes chosing a little easier,.Always notice the attentive staff cleaning the tables, sweeping the floors, and keeping the tray disposal area clean too.Well done ...

Great McDonalds, very clean and with super friendly staff. One young team member took time out to help my seven year old grandson go to the counter and order another drink of milk, and then served it to him. Food excellent - can't fault this place at all. Recommended.

Probably the best Mac's in the north of England . Food always fresh cooked and hot . The staff friendly and helpful.

I wouldn’t say it is the best place, the chips are usually undercooked and the chicken tastes more processed than a plastic bag.

We come here once a week and only like been served by one guy who takes customer service to the next level, not only does he interact with you but takes that extra time in satisfying you. The foods always piping hot and there no short cuts in the making

Although busy we were served promptly, the staff were efficient and the chicken burger, cheeseburger, fries, happy meal, cokes and banana milkshake tasted good. Comparing the fries with other branches we have visited these were the best yet and actually hot, instead of lukewarm. Good for a quick lunch whilst out and about.

Used this McDonalds as a drive through 3 times in total and on every occasion when I arrived home I found they got the order wrong, totally useless.
