We asked for a veggie wrap meal they couldn’t put it through so they said we could have a free drink and fries it was a big order because we had a few people with us so they told us to pull over while they sorted it out. We waited for 20 minutes and then we didn’t even get the wrap and the fries were cold and the ice cream was melted We ended up driving back to get it

The BEST non-fast food restaurant in the area. Only someone with the brains of a 5 year old could revamp a drive through restaurant and remove parking bays to get more cars through the ordering process then at the same time ask 99% of the cars to park up whilst their order is prepared. Gen Z probably think waiting over 10 mins from ordering to receipt of food is classed as fast, but us from the older generations remember ordering at the machine, driving round to pay and pulling forward and immediately collecting our food as the standard. All McDonalds are now slow but Whitfield Dover is by far the worst for speed and quality of food in east Kent. I’ve not bothered mentioning the quality of the food as you should already know that any mention of quality and food when talking about McDonalds is an oxymoron. Avoid this particular drive through. Your sanity, tastebuds and wallet will thank you!!

Avoid. Staff clearly don't want to work the late shift. Just off ferry after long trip. Food appeared reheated, chips cold and soggy. Halfway up M2 bit too late to turn round and at 1.30 in morning couldn't be bothered. The worst ever McDonald's, they should be ashamed.

For the third time, items are missing from the bag on a McDelivery order; ordered through the McDonald's App. Mcdonald's App virtual assistant is crap; you click 'upload' to upload the receipt and it does nothing. Mcdonald's website says call the store; so I did. They give you Uber Eats helpline number, even though it is 100% fact that the sealed bag is missing the item which is on the receipt; so it was clearly the staff member at Mcdonald's who made the error. Uber Eats then talk at 100 miles per hour on the phone and tell you they will refund the item and it takes between 5 and 15 days. "If it isn't refunded by then, call Mcdonald's" quote. In summary, collect your food so you can check the bag before leaving the restaurant.

Slow slow and slower !! Was a simple order on screens in site , double 1/4 meal , mayo chick & bottle water . 9 minutes later finally get it with cold soggy chips - no apology for wait or chips - no customer service whatsoever. I used the drive thru. It wasn't busy. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was served promptly and hot ....however.....absolutely no sign of any gherkin in either if my two hamburgers and to be honest they were thin and tasteless burgers anyway a small smatter of tasteless onions and a light smearing of ketchup but no mustard. The medium fries were disappointingly small in quantity and over salted. Overall a disappointing experience.

Once again McDonald’s Whitfield is had by cold food out for delivery to Just Eat. Food arrived and was completely inedible, had to just bin it. £30 of food wasted. Unfortunately not the first time but will be the last. Rang them to complain and got told the food is prepared when the delivery driver is there , somehow, based on the food we just had arrive, I find that very hard to believe.

Ordered on the app and waited in bay. Drive thru seemed to be moving quickly. Waited so long, eventually gave up and went inside to collect our lunch. Returned to the car to discover our burgers were Stone cold. Had to go back inside because their was no milk with my tea. Unfortunately not the first bad experience we have had here. Won't be returning. One plus though is that the staff seem nice.

I am a long standing loyal consumer of McDonald's. But I was very disappointed with staff at the Dover UK McDonald's on Sandwich road today. Both mcmuffin meals missing from our home delivery order (via Just eat) this morning and neither driver or McDonald's taking responsibility. Really disappointed. How difficult is it to check orders before they leave the restaurant. I rang the restaurant and being told to just claim a refund that takes 7 days and order a new order is really not the ideal solution. No food when hungry and we don't all have spare money in a cost of living crisis for repeat orders. We live less than 5 mins away and thet could have just sent out a fresh order and we would have been happy. Awful customer care. Fuming.

Went to the drive thru at whifield on Thursday 25/5/23 at 15.30 was kept waiting for 10 mins while four cars on the other side of the drive thru were served before us but arrived after us, there was a queue building behind us as well who were getting frustrated at us while we were left waiting and waiting. After finally being served we drove to the payment window and was kept waiting again. Then when we got to the collection window the girl shoved our order at our window and said eer are......... How rude, not a thank you in sight or have a nice afternoon, bearing in mind 2 meals cost us almost £17 We sat in our car to eat our meals. Burgers were ok however the chips were not up to their usual crispy standard, they were very soggy and no seasoning. Won't be going here again any time soon. Extremely disappointed 😞

Waiting 10 minutes for food to be ready then half the order was missing has to drive back because there would be now 2 people without their meals at home ..no milkshakes .. this is a common occurrence to find food missing is it really that hard to check the orders ?? Tuesday lunch 02 08 cue for Mc'Dondalds was rather long, finally got to the order station, young chap spoke and said be with you in a minute, over a minute like 2. Then paid and was asked to move down, I was right up close to vehicle in front anyway got to the food window young girl about 12 gave me the drinks and then told me there would be a 2 minute wait for our meals. Told me to go and park, the place was rammed, cars everywhere full, I said I will wait here for 2 minutes as it would of taken me 5 mins or more to find somewhere, this chap came to the window and said go and park I said no, he said your meals will be a couple of minutes, I said get them then and he would not. I asked for a refund which took over the 2 minutes as I sat there for 5 at least. Terrible atitude from the 12 year old and I think a so called manager.

So we ordered via the app and I get to collect thinking it would save time. As it turns out this was such a hassle. When I finally got to park after having to queue up round the drive through (which would have been easier) I went inside only to be told I couldnt have my food unless the phone that made the order was here due to GPS. So I had to go home and get my partner's phone so we decided we'd decide to grab the kids and eat the food inside the restaurant. We went through the same process again and finally sat down to eat only to find my partners food had meat in it despite the instructions not to. We sent it back and asked for a replacement and after 10minutes of no replacement I asked a member of staff how long it would be and they said they would find out. Eventually myself and the kids finished our food and my partners still hadnt arrived. My kids eat ridiculously slow so we'd been waiting a good half hour by this point. We got up to leave went to the counter and asked what the hold up was and was given a take away bag (despite the fact we were eating in) and just told sorry about that and the man walked away. It seems either customer service is dead or Mds are just too big to care about the little people anymore. The food itself was as you get at an Mds, none of us go there for style or substance its meant to be quick and easy.

Parking is very limited if you can get past the queue for the drive-thru then there are about 10 spaces to park your car. Food is not cooked properly and in my opinion is very poor compared to other Kent McDonald's restaurants. If you customise your order most times it will be ignored.

Absolutely disgusting service, my husband is a lorry driver and lives nearby works nights on Tuesday at 3am he ordered a burger they got it wrong, not unusual for here, when he bit into it it was so salty he could not eat it, he went in again at the same time Wednesday morning the order was fine but once again covered in salt, this is unacceptable and disgusting behaviour by the kitchen staff. You really need to sort this out.

Food as expected - great. Location for parking and traffic is horrific. We can’t go in due to Covid so traffic is even more congested, McDonald’s really need to invest in a more traffic friendly system that doesn’t make you worry your car is going to get scratched or you get beeped at for blocking the petrol station patrons who want to sip into the queue.

Dropped in to the 24 hour outlet in the small ours of the morning. Litter strewn round car park bins over flowing. Tables not cleaned appeared to be 3 staff on. All young chatting away one may have been the supervisor. Order half pounder with cheese meal via the terminal and took my table number to table. Waited went to toilet filthy. Returned waited. Went to counter to enquire interrupted 3 still chatting. Was told they had been busy I was the only person present and I had seen no evidence of cars passing windows which I had ample time to look out of. Food arrived a short while later burger cold and like leather lettuce wilted bin soggy coke flat virtually all ice chips about a month old. Complained asked for refund which was initially refused then finally handed money in cash despite paying by card Neve never again Avoid unless desperate get a sandwich from adjacent petrol station

No matter what time you come day or night. The servers are lacking customer service skills. The wait is short but the food is stone cold minutes after leaving the drive thru. This is the WORST mcdonalds in kent full stop. Just stay away guys. Seriously every order I have ever had from here is wrong or stone cold. I work in the catering and hospitality sector and think this restaurant needs a decent management team that is actually going to train the staff properly. I will never return and will be sure to inform other people on why they shouldn't either.

I stopped in here on the way home as hunger hit me, the restaurant was not too busy, it was around 19:30 on a Thursday, I walked straight up to the counter and awaited to be served.After a few minutes a young lad walked past, apologised for making me wait and started to take my order, which he did swiftly and with no issues.After around an 8 minute wait my grill order burger and fries were ready, bagged up and given to me to take away.I swiftly jumped in the car and drove the 5 minute drive back home, Upon entering; bag in hand I unpacked it and took a nice big bite out of my burger, I wasn't too impressed to be honest, the burger had a really weird taste, I didn't eat it as wasn't sure what could have made it taste that bad, I turned my attention to my large fries; that was where it got worse! cold, caked in salt, soggy fries. I didn't eat them or the burger and it took every part of my senses to stop myself going back and 'complaining' but whats the point? obviously they wouldn't care as if they did they would quality control and at the very least temperature check there product before distributing it to a paying customer. Terrible. 1/5 will never go back!

Came in around midnight with my partner, It wasnt busy, just a couple of people waiting for their order. We approached the order till and waited to be served, staff were just walking past and ignoring us, eventually a young lad with glasses came and served us. We gave our order and then waited for our food. The wait was long, even the customers in front that had ordered before I came in were moaning at how long a couple of happy meals were taking. Eventually we got our order and then drove the 3min trip home. Upon eating we discovered that the only hot product was the melt dippers. The burgers and fries were cold, even my grill order. Came in today around 6.30pm. It wasn't busy, no queue so served straight away. I asked for two plain double cheeseburgers and a large fries, after asking me about three times if I wanted plain burgers and then taking forever to figure my change out from 4.60£ even with a till that works it out for you my order finally went through. Literally a minute later my order was ready I left and drove the one minute round the corner to park and eat. My fries were tasteless and stone cold and the burgers looked like they were esembled by a blind dog and again were not hot. This is the worst mcdonalds in Kent. I keep giving them another chance but I won't again. Park farm mcdonalds is a 10, this place is a 1.

Recently revamped & modernised but the fact remains that it is like "squeezing a quart into a pint pot!" Needs more parking spaces - we had to park across some cars while waiting for our order. When I got to the window the drink was half full and covered with coke on the outside of the cup. I was told your food isn't ready yet so can you park up? The land next to the Macdonalds is owned by the garage. They employ uk car park management to look after the land. I thought I was in a cue to go into Macdonalds however I was caught on camera and given a £60 pound fine. I have spoken to the company who will not disregard the chargesture when I explained. If the line is long don't go you will be fined.

So the major renovation took place and we were all dying to get our hands on a Ronald's special treats. The team took a trip up on our lunch break. After much deliberation, no one actually bought a decent burger, instead.. we had a crispy chicken wrap, chicken selects and a fillet 'o' fish (not a decent burger). All in all the food filled our rumbly tummies. Service wise, the new boards make you over order and i love it. Plus we got a great window seat so we got to stare at all the hungry builders whilst going through drive thru. Still don't get the table service :L

No problem with eating fast food, personal choice but when this establishment was closed for refurbishment the traffic went down as did the litter. Once reopened, litter has picked up. McDonald's cannot be held totally responsible for youngsters dropping litter, some do, but they have to do more to ensure the local area they serve is kept as tidy as possible. There has been a litter group set up and it will report back to PA Crocker Ltd, the franchisee to ensure this part of fast food is maintained at a high standard.

We visit the Whitfield Macs regularly both sit in and drive through. We have always considered it a good standard of fast food restaurant. Good food, nice staff, good service and clean. We visited last night on the first day of opening after the refurbishment, the restaurant itself is greatly improved, more seating, 6 touch screen terminals and seems much more brighter and open. A very good example of a MacDonalds.

Have been coming to this one for about four years. Never any major issues. It is what it is, a MickeyD's after all. It is almost always very busy even at nite sometimes. But we've never had to wait too long. Today the bacon on our big tastys didn't seem cooked enough for us although I'm sure MD's would beg to differ. We got rid of it anyway. I will complain but don't expect much of a response. Like I said before it is a McD's after all.

Forgot two small fries and cheeseburger and have use mozzarella sticks which we did not order. Not the first time we've had problems with this one. Once found what looked like pubic hair in big Mac and another time went in and say down with family for something to eat. Simple order at the drive through of a fish finger happy meal with a chocolate milk shake, 2 quarter pounders and 2 fries plus some McNuggets with Bbq sauce.Yet again no milkshakes available and having spent ten minutes in the queue and having paid, no food ready and was asked to park up in the waiting bay. Asked how long the wait would be and was advised a couple of minutes.Fifteen minutes later got the food and drove home.Food was look warm by then and no bbq sauce in the bag. Still they didn't even bother putting any serviettes in either so no real surprise.All in all quite poor. If you don't have the food ready, let us know at the pay point and then we can make the decision to not bother and pull out of the queue. Just don't promise what you can't deliver. The whole idea is you substitute nutrition for fast food available immediately. If it's not available there and then you serve no purpose whatsoever and we can all be healthier by not having it. Poor service and dissatisfied!

Located on a very busy roundabout this McDonald's is always packed with people at all times of the day - its open 24/7. Food is the usual McDonald's menu, service varies from good to slow depending on how busy it is. The staff however are very good - helpful and good to deal with. The car park is very small and quite tight to park in, however its hard to see what they could do about this.Well worth a visit for a quick meal if nearby.

We recently holidayed in Dover and needed a quick, convenient meal on our first night. We have used this McDonalds in the past but not for a couple of years so hoped it would still be as good. We weren't disappointed!The first thing we noticed was that it was really busy but it was a Friday night so maybe it's always like this. However the staff were trialling a new system where certain members of staff were standing outside taking your order and money in addition to the two drive-up windows, which made the whole process VERY quick and easy. It was quicker than ordering at our local drive-thru!The food was hot and very tasty - we thoroughly enjoyed it and our order was all present and correct. We would definitely use this McDonalds again when in Dover and wish we had one as good near us!

Being local we use this quite regularly and our order isn't complicated - just the basic burgers and fries, but every time I use the drive-tru I always have to park up as they haven't got the food stored in the 'bin'. I used to work at McD's when I was a kid so now how long it takes to cook a burger (less than a minute). I can understand they can't hold food at quiet times, but at lunchtime I shouldn't have to wait whilst they cook my order!

I have been to this McD's often, they do seem to be understaffed at times, miss things off orders and recently the food hasn't been as hot as it should be. Yesterday going thru' the Drive Thru' we had to wait for order and then the Big mac and Big tasty was cold and bun very chewy. The staff try their best and will always be helpful if they have left anything off the order, but it does happen too often.

After a few years of going to this particular branch; I've found that this McDs has issues with full-fulling orders correctly. From parts missing from burgers, food being cold or burnt, meat being raw one time, to entire sections of orders missing ei; entire meals. I've noticed this trend in this McDs as I haven't really had these issues from other McDs as much and I have to say I'll be going to other restaurants in the future since the one in Dover is close by.

It's McDonalds so there's not much you can say about the food. It does what it says on the tin. But I've got to say the two young members of staff who served me last Friday evening had been very helpful & friendly . Good on you & the team. After long drive down from Cumbria I was quite surprised .

Staff are helpful. Occasionally there are long queues but they try and get you through quickly. Food is the same as everywhere else. It's handy to have. When the monopoly was on we didn't receive our stickers which was disappointing. We will return at some point.

Ample parking if you want to eat in, fast drive through for those who like to eat in the car. Conveniently situated just off the Whitfield roundabout next to the petrol station, so you can fill up in more ways than one

I have not had a Big Mac for a many years and must say I was most disappointed by the rather small burger in a card board box with limp salad and artificial cheese. Compared to a decent independent burger restaurant the Big Mac is a huge, huge disappointment. Interesting as I had this the evening before a week in France skiing. At most cafes and restaurants the burgers were bigger and had best steak, freshly made in to a burger. Yes more expensive than 99p for the basic McDonalds burger but I would prefer to pay more for decent food. What can you expect for 99p?? The bun itself was a disappointment, not nice fresh bread but mass produced tasteless "bread". Again in France the bread tasted like bread. The salad or limp lettuce was old and too much mayonnaise made the whole experience a dripping mess. This was accompanied by cold chips or fries. Really McDonalds has lost its way and you are much better simply buying a burger from a burger van, but any decent independent burger restaurant is far far tastier, more satisfying and good for you. Seriously McDonald really should be avoided as now so cheap and nasty, yes it will iev you temporary satisfaction if isolated on a remote island but there is so much more and better choice. One to avoid unless the Dover McDonalds is any different to the thousands world wide.

Open almost 24 hours, this McDonalds is convenient when you need food in a hurry. We did, on our recent visit to Dover, and so decided to chance it. We used the DriveThru both times and service was polite and efficient. The food was great - best chicken nuggets I've had in a Maccy Ds - tasted fresh. Chips, Big Mac, Quarter Pounder and Cokes were all good, too. We've book marked it should we ever return to Dover and need a quick meal again. Very impressed. Restaurant looked clean - toilets could be cleaner.

Well Dover has two Macdonalds reflecting its cosmopolitan allure, in the town, and a drive thru at Whitfeild so I will review them both. The town one has to be visited to savour the elite and élan of the town at meal. Leave a safe distance as one arms may well be chewed by the ravenous obese. The food is standard Macdonalds and fills a gap. The drive thru is better. It's more organised and sometimes quicker. It is a victim of its own success and there can be considerable delays at peak time. Inside or out this is a better call. Macci D we were bought up with it, it's our legacy, barely food at one hundred miles a hour

Never thought of reviewing mcdonalds before but why not its a very handy resturant that serves good hot food with lots of variety and even a vegetarian option. The staff are always friendly and service is always quick and efficient, plus you have the choice of eating in or takeaway, you dont even have to get out your car ! And you certainly cant argue with the price.

Very poor food quality and I have been going here since lockdown. 3 times in a row they have forgotten the bacon in with my burger. This time no bacon but with mouldy lettuce. The chicken inside the burger was very tiny, I mean very tiny and cold. Chips were like they had been warmed back up too. Very disappointed with this place that used to be brilliant! Only decent thing were the delivery time and the can of Tango.
