A favourite stop off when in this part of the world. Tothill is a small service area that is quick and easy to use.

Probably not the best place for a 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner, bit if you are on the A34 and need a coffee and a McPiss, laye evening, as I was, then it is absolutely banging !

Fleeting visit journey home from Portsmouth to Liverpool. Late night. Everything fine. Clean tidy. Staff very pleasant. Used the robots to order. Food fresh, hot and adequate if you like maccies.🙂. Would stop again.

I regularly use this franchise on commute and it's usually at 6 to 7 am after an hour's drive done, with another hour to go, so ready for a coffee and a bite to eat. Yes, it's a Macdonald so you know what you are getting but here is the thing, the staff here are lovely and make it a pleasant spot to choose. I have a choice and the staff are why I have breakfast here.

Very slow service, food wasn't hot either

Awful service, rude, extremely slow and arrogant manager. After more than 20 minutes waiting for food we got a refund and left.

Efficient and helpful service, was clean and tidy with cheerful staff

Arrived for breakfast to find this 24 hour restaurant shut with staff all stood around doing nothing, no explanation for being shut just looked at with a look of "obviously we're shut now disappear" luckily the completely open tothill was available with staff who explained that this McDonald's is always doing stuff like this because the managers are lazy and they have to shut for emergency cleaning because the workforce are equally lazy

Slow service for a Mac Donald's and the nuggets and Fries were Luke warm when they arrived. Also had to go back up to get the sauces that had been forgotten. Two other people returned to collect missing items whilst I waited to get my order.

Very bad experience this time, reheated fries obviously from midnight, thrown together quarter pounder revolting coffee, miserable staff, filthy car park wrappers everywhere, but the toilets were clean!!! Buck up McDonald's you're losing the plot.!!!

Most tables were dirty or had food and napkins under them. We decided to eat in anyway as had a long drive but our meal we had bought was given to the wrong people who casually ate it without a care. When we queried about our food, service said they could not see our table number despite him walking past it twice. He added our meal to the bottom of the queue and didn't even say anything to the other couple eating our meal for free.

Great Staff who are very friendly and always remember me on a Friday evening when I go in with my young son.

Wonderful service from the manager I believe her name was Kaylee. She was very helpful and a pleasant young lady

I used the drive through but food was cooked fresh and staff was lovely and cheerful

Slow service, poor food muffins are burnt, and half of it is missing pretty shit all round.

25 minutes wait for a cheeseburger and a coffee, the place needs shutting down, all staff laying off, and a complete newly trained team, there is no sense of leadership or direction from any staff member.

This McDonald's is just off the A34 and I find it convenient for a quick drink, burger or ice-cream when heading along the A34

Mcdonalds is what you expe t it to be, but THIS one had the slowest service I have EVER experienced in a Mcdonalds. I ordered 2 BigMac's (not meals) to go, and it took almost 30 minutes to get them. The restaurant was not even busy. 2 or 3 tables had sit-down customers, and there were two more people hanging around for their walk-out orders... and me. I even asked if they had torgotten me, but was told '...they are almost done!'. I wish I had taken the exact time but it was around 30 minutes.

Stopped here to use the Instavolt car chargers. Used the toilets in McDonalds, they were disgusting and appeared to have not been properly cleaned for some time. Thank goodness we weren't eating there, dread to think what state their kitchens were in.

Went to the drive trough and ordered 2 flatbreads. And was told to wait in parking bay I waited 20 minutes and when I finaly got it it was stone cold... Probably the worst drive trough service in the country. Avoid this place.

Food at MacDonalds is not as good as before, chicken sandwich is much smaller and poor quality.

The thing that immediately strikes you, is how many fingerprints there were on everything. The order panels, glass on the doorways to the rest rooms. The restaurant was not busy, so you would think the cleanliness would be high on the staff agenda, so it looked really welcoming to the customers.

Chips were half filled for a "large" so had to ask for them to be filled again. As I ordered take away, I was back on the road by the time I ate my chips and they were stale. If I had eaten in I would have asked for a replacement.

A very nice little McDonalds... we had a lovely meal treating the kids after a day out. The food was good, warm and our order correct. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient especially Jacob Kelly who brought our food to the table. And the restaurant was clean and tidy.

It does what it says on the tin. Not really a fan but no alternative and no complaints.

Without a doubt, the worst McDonalds ever. Often get the order wrong, food is often cold or just warm. Hardly ever have milkshakes. Seems like chaos inside. Once saw a 'manager' talking to staff like dirt. Had a word with him, but it fell on deaf ears. It was like trying to talk to a combination of Bananaman and Johnny Bravo.

Most of the time, the order is right, or they are happy to change anything that isn't. Burgers can be a bit slopperly prepared. But what do you expect from fast food.

Took 35 mins from ordering breakfast to getting our order. We didn't order anything special, just took ages... Plenty of food piling up out of the kitchen, just took an age for someone to put it on a tray and get it out...

The food was not good, chips looked very 2nd hand burger...the same

Day or night, the guys on drive thru windows are always so polite and friendly. Have a nice afternoon, have a good evening, drive safely. Noticeable because they all do it. Makes my day better, and I always drive away with a smile on my face at least that is until a truck sits in front of me on the A34 doing 56, next to another truck doing 56.

I appreciate that on both occasions that I've been here it has been busy. However, after placing an order it took a long time for our order to be called. We took it back to the car and opened it up to find an incorrect order. I took it back in and when I eventually managed to speak to someone they were dismissive. Another 5 minutes wait. We'll find somewhere else during our journey.

Great option for charging the car

Strawberry shakes now taste of sweeteners, burgers have shrunk in size but gained in price! If I wanted salt on my fries, I would ask for it! Not have them drowned in it! All hot food has gone cold by the time you have left the building! Always amazed at how popular McDonald's is? Seeing how bad the food actually tastes.??? Lot's of people are easily pleased it seems!

Part of the order was wrong asked for a plane bacon roll as we have an egg allergy as I returned I was approached by a nice friendly girl asked what the problem is so told her she takes the order to the manager she was not so nice very rude no apology just defensive & rude could do with people skills training a smile doesn't cost anything

Took ages to order on the machine and staff were under so much pressure from management . I felt sorry for the staff .the orders were coming out wrong i didn't enjoy my food but ate it anyway as I was hungry but won't be returning anytime soon

Some guy crashed into my car in the car park, but the 10pc chicken nugget was very calming and therapeutic.

Standard maccies food. Had a long wait for the food in the grill bay, (standard order no special requests) no sauces given with items that should have it. General disorder there tbh.

Food as standard. Service incredibly poor. We waited for 25 minutes to be served waiting at Drive through. Cannot begin to express my frustration. When trying to engage staff they failed to see the urgency and blatantly ignored requests for clarification as to why a meal should take that long in a drive through queue.

Shocking service, I eventually turned my car off going through the drive through. No soft drinks available but funny enough the more expensive milkshakes were available! Not impressed!

I think I would have to say this is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. The restaurant was filthy, I was nowhere near the door and yet being harassed by flies, and I interacted with 2 different members of staff and neither one of them bothered to acknowledge me, talk to me and neither of them even smiled. I noticed more of this behaviour towards other customers and their kids. I believe they could really do with a full staff meeting and call them out as none of them looked like they even wanted to be there, it was so obvious, maybe they'd be better suited for Karen's diner? The fries were luke-warm at best, then the soda machine was out of order, so if you wanted a meal you had to pay extra for the drinks available unless you wanted water or coffee and it's boiling hot in there so hot drinks were a no-go. The internet service wouldn't even connect (signal in area is generally horrific). Overall, I would never return here as the service, amenities and general cleanliness were appalling.

Standard McDonalds good food and service but incredible fries here if you are a McDonald’s fries connoisseur like myself.

Always great service with a smile at this restaurant. Have to add though, that the idiot in the Red Shirt that ordered Big Mac minus all the garnish and extra cheese, McDonald's do a Cheeseburger, you muppet!! Fair play to the staff though keeping cool even dealing with these type of loonies!

Standard across the country. You know what you are getting when you enter and this one is no different. Staff are polite enough, everything is within acceptable temperature range (burgers are hot, milkshakes are cold) there’s no mess and the toilets have toilet paper. Nothing was amazing, nothing was terrible.

What a let down food is rubbish cold and the ice cream machine or frappe or milkshake machines are always broken after parking every order in the car park massive cues just avoid

Apart from having a limited drinks selection a good experience, small carpark though.

Good A smooth latte, blended with a sweet toffee syrup and topped with cream. Incomplete order triple burger looked more like a pancake, not large chips like I ordered and freezing cold although the restaurant is a 2 minute drive away.

Stopped for breakfast on the way home from holiday. Desperately needed coffee to fix they had no coffee machines working, no alternative except hot chocolate and soft drinks or tea!! Told they had no idea when the machines would be fixed. Complained to McDonalds X Account to be told that as I’d ended up buying nothing they could t give me a refund!! Point was I was trying to get them to realise having a site with three non-working coffee machines and no date of planned repair wasn’t acceptable.

Unusual for me to do a review on something like this, but the staff at this resteraunt today were so lovely and helpful, I just wanted to say thank you! Not very often do you get treated so kindly nowadays!

Quick stop off on my way for a meeting for breakfast & coffee on a midweek morning. Food service a little slow which disappointed but was more than made up for by William , an older gentleman who was lovely to chat to. He made the customers feel so welcome and really had a way of breaking the ice in the restaurant. 5* William!

WaIted 10 minutes for porridge. Fast food it ain't.

My usual stop off on the way to the south coast, rarely too busy unlike a lot of the motorway services. Prices are ok and service has always been really good.

No print out of your order number again, you only got 3 seconds to see what your order number is, come on McDonald's get a machine that work's or keep that a few seconds longer !!!

A really poorly run McDonalds. Never not had a problem here. You will wait for ages. Your order will be wrong. They will have run out of something basic like pickles or mustard.

There was an older chap serving on the counter who I dealt with and was great. With every customer he encountered he was polite, friendly, upbeat, cheery, he was a pleasure to talk to. The general staff were a bit slow, it was getting busy but there was no rush from them to get orders out. It's fast food, so they need to pick up the pace a bit. General store was good, seemed clean, it's a bit small in the entrance so if busy could get squishy.
