Parking is a nightmare here. Food the same old stuff

Never ever get the right order, burgers with old salad, cold, no effort at all in preparation and they don't even give a crap if your standing there waiting at the counter watching them talk and swear, and argue, I volunteered in my son's school, with kids in year 3 that had better decorum, then the some of the stuff

More of a dig at McDonald's in general. After getting back from Tenerife last week it really shows you just how poor our McDonald's are in the UK. Nowhere near as clean, wait times seems to be ever increasing (probably to do with the just eat/deliveroo etc) and the menu is just shocking compared to other countries. They're junk food I know, but we really get a bad deal with McDonald's menu in the UK.

Came at about 00.30 and they were closed. Had to seat in the car and wait.

15 mins to wait for our breakfast order today. Staff all serving themselves before customers and when the food did finally come out, it was all cold. Awful service and nearly caused us to miss our ferry.

The food was warm but acceptable, and the service was slow, but due to being very busy at 6pm. Parking was a complete shambles as not enough parking facilities, drivers going through the drive-through and having to pull over to wait for their order, nowhere for them to park and wait so congestion building up, the management team had to come out and assist people trying to park. This is an ongoing issue as just outside macdonaulds, there is plenty room but at risk of a parking fine. Overall the visit was 3 stars which is a fare score. Will visit again but not during peak time.

It's a McDonald's so you know what you're going to get. So when you need a quick food pitstop and you're travelling through it's not a bad option. This one has probably the smallest car park that I've seen at a McDonald's, so we decided to use the drive-thru which was straight forward enough. There were three of us so we each paid separately at the hatch and by the time that we arrived at the next one our three meals were ready. The three staff, on ordering, paying and collecting were all polite and friendly enough. So not a bad McDonald's experience although I can't imagine what they do when it's busy with such a small car park 🤷🏻‍♂️. Ordered tonight at 11:08 first delivery driver dropped them the second one sat at the beach for 2 hours while we waiting on our food then suddenly cancelled our food!! After waiting two hours!!!!

Absolutely useless, made countless orders and had something missing everytime, you then try and call up to rectify the problem and all it does is ring through..... how difficult can it be to tick off a list and put the items in the bag 🤯 let alone the machines crashing or having a hissy fit when you try and use your rewards then crashing on the last step. I then tried asking for the machine to be reset as was using code and was told they couldn't so lost out on £50+ worth of points, let alone I couldn't sign out so if I end up loosing all my points because someone's jumped on it will not be impressed. Will be taking this up with higher up because I've easily lost out on over a couple £100 through mess ups let alone you'll be waiting 45 minutes which is concerning with the title "fast food" 😂

Just stopped for a quick bite, put order in, but it took ages to come and when it did arrive the burgers were warm, the fries had dark spots and were also warm, don't think l will go back. Had to stop off for the grand children, service was a lot quicker and the food was hot, good to see the changes.

Really messy place, asked manager to clean our really messy table with respone- not a problem , 10 min later no action , after food been served someone coming in a min - 10 min later no action again , just when food nearly finished member of staff wanted to clean table . Joke

This place is always way too busy. Parking is atrocious and there are always queues to get in. No matter what they try with the road layout/parking it just doesn't work and they never seem to be able to get our order ready at the drive through meaning we have to park up 🙄

Probably one of the best McDonald's I've been to, primarily from the friendliness of the staff who were well mannered and friendly. The food was good and seemed fresh too

As always parking up to eat inside is a nightmare here. They need to get the landowner to offer more parking spaces as this would decrease traffic at the roundabout too.

It’s just chaos nowadays. No smiles, crazy wait times and crazy wait times. On the plus side by the time you get your milkshake it’s thawed out a bit, and you can always be entertained by watching the delivery drivers fight while you wait. Toilets closed today and no hot chocolate, which is a change from the ice cream machine not working.

Whilst I understand this is a busy McDonalds and the parking space is very much limited, i am sure it can be managed better. And as always, like every McD, if you go to a collection bay it takes at least 20mins for your fast food to be brought as they ALWAYS seem to prioritise the drive thru customers [which is unfair]

They are universally similar. I recommend customising your order so it is freshly made, not sitting in the hot lights for x minutes! Also you need more ketchup/mustard/mayo, s the burgers are very dry!

Disgusting! Would have given no stars if possible. Visited 01/09/24 @ 03.00 hours. Self ordering board not accepting contactless. Other customers with the same problem. Had to wait 20 minutes for food. Not many customers in the place. Absolutely filthy restaurant. So unhygenic. No paper napkins. Bin overflowing & rubbish all on the area where sauces are to be got out of the pump. Seating tables dirty . Bins overflowing. All packaging left on tables due to the bin situation. The toilets were disgustingly dirty. No toilet paper. Blocked toilet These can not have been checked for hours. Finally the food…just average. This establishment needs to definitely improve.

Can't comment on the atmosphere as we went through the drive thru. Fast and efficient. Friendly and cheerful. The food was piping hot. The only thing was the parking around the store. People stop where ever, you can't tell whether they are parked, waiting to go back out onto the road or waiting for an order.

You know what your going for. I find it hard to rate, it's mcdonalds..... it's the same if you were in Scotland, Australia or Bratislava....

NIGHTMARE DRIVE THROUGH! Nowhere to park. Told to double park while waiting for food. Awkward with drivers. Total nightmare caused by MCDonalds bad management!

They just put kids to work at night shift and they don’t do anything I waited more than 40 minutes in the car par just to get my order

Bunch of muppets work here. You pay for sauce they don't provide it then u have to call uber for the sauce when the muppets haven't included In your order.

Ordered via just eat waited 40 mins just for them to cancel the order absolutely terrible way to treat customers and shows the laziness of staff there avoid if you can

Shocking wait for breakfast today. Took longer to wait for 3 sausages and egg mcmuffins than it did to get through passport control, and it's the summer holiday! Staff need to wake up and get on with serving.

Double big Mac was dry like eating cardboard, couldn't taste banana in milk shake and far to creamy looked like vanilla as not any tinge of yellow, changed it but still the same, very disappointed and over £20 at least apple 🍏 pie was still good

Staff and food where great but was waiting a while to get food. Couldn't park and go in as everyone waiting for their food from the drivethru take the spaces

Despite this being a 24hr McDonalds, we were waiting for a ferry to Calais and it was not open at 7am Monday morning!!!

Missing items in my order, also the drinks wasn't filled 0,5 it was less in both cups. Nit happy at all. The service in the MD is going down so quickly

So over priced now. Not a quick cheap option these days. Whitfield one is a nightmare, no where to park if you want to eat in. Always and I mean always check your order as 7 times out 10 they get it wrong or there are items missing! On the plus side the staff are polite and friendly.

Really fast service and friendly staff, can be hard to get a space to park though, and as the two drive through conjoin into one to get to the desk it can hold up the line a lot. Other than that nothing to ever complain about.

Food was fine but the car park is ridiculous, it's basically non existent, the service was so slow for nuggets and a cheeseburger, no where to sit, I'll give it a miss next time I'm passing

On the four most recent visits, I've had one problem after another with this site, not to mention the chips are always soggy and cold. First time the system was down so unable to purchase any food. On the second occasion, they ran out of fries although there were trolleys full being delivered left sat outside. Third occasion, a piece of the ice cream machine was broken so unable to sell Mcflurry's on a hot day. Fourth occasion, after trying for weeks to have the new Milkybar Mcflurry which is always out of stock, I was told I could have one, then when they checked what other ice creams they had for me they realised it was still out of stock. So I ordered and paid for two Munchies ones instead, and whilst waiting for it at the window, I was told the machine was down for a hot clean. Why did it take till the third person to realise that?! I had to park up and get a refund. Hopefully the site in town gets the go ahead and this one ends up closing down. I don't particularly like McDonald's, but on the rare occasions I've tried to use it I've had nothing but disappointment

Waited for food 30mins+ even though the screen had 4 orders in prep, the staff don’t seem to have any sense of urgency or anything and ignores when attempting to approach

This place is terrible. However/whenever order, and I unfortunately do have to order, the food is cold, poorly constructed, and always missing items or incorrect. McDonald's isn't quality, I know... McDonald's isn't "Real food"... I know... But seriously, you know what you should expect, especially as it still costs money! This place is so bad, I have to say something. I want the management team to deal with the persistent, consistent inaccuracies and poor quality food that they are literally chucking into a bag and hoping for the best. Honestly, it's just the pits. If I was able to choose any other place, I would. It's abysmal.

Busy spot with limited parking. When I visited on a Friday evening, the self-service menu screen was not issuing receipts. I notified a staff member, but unfortunately, they didn't seem bothered. To wrap it all off, the external bins were overflowing

I don’t mind this McDonald’s but it just seems everytime you go through the drive thru for the most simplest items, they still make you ‘park up’ and wait.

Has to be the worst McDonald’s ever, they can not ever bag up a whole order correctly, service is always slow for the amount of staff the always have on shift honestly not worth your money or time, shame I had no choice to even give them the one star

Staff not very helpful and no vegan options except for fries. I asked for the ingredients in a vegetarian burger and was handed a printed table with all food served in the restaurant. Overall poor show.

Okay it's a McDonald's you don't expect 5 star quality however every single time I have ordered on the app I'm always given the wrong order. Pull up to the paying with okay that's £8.65, well I paid on the app? Oh one minute! Three people later and 6 minutes blocking the drive thru I finally get my order. The chips were stone cold and burger so incredibly dry. Received an extra drink and instead of a small milkshake a large one but hey their own mistake so I'll take it! Won't ever be returning to this one hope the one opening in Dover soon is better this one is dismal in every way

A female worker was rude and shouted at us that we can do it ourselves and go in to get tap water just because we asked for 1 more tap water and then she yelled do it yourself even tho your not meant to act like that as I am a fellow employee of McDonald’s . 😡 then we went in and I said to her calmly why did you shout and she proceeded to laugh and give us all dirty looks as we was waiting for the water, then we was standing around and another worker shouts get out maybe they had a bad day but that’s not my problem they’re McFattys

Don't ever feel the need to review mcdonalds, unless it's extremely bad or good. This was the latter! The place was so busy but we were starving and expected the worst. It was one of the nicest mcdonalds we've ever had. Everything fresh, hot and put together right, served quick.

Complete disappointment. Having driven from London with my granddaughter we was looking forward to a quick lunch. Pulled into this McDonald's drove round, absolutely no parking, so no lunch for us. Drive on to Deal instead.

Went 3 times my order was always wrong every time. Horrible experience

Considerable wait and staff had to be told about the over flowing bins inside along with tables still with food what lazy people had not cleared themselves.

Terrible parking system. Delivery people drive /park like idiots. Couldn't get a disabled parking spot because ' anybody/everybody' was parked there. It feels like they've just dropped McDonald's in that tiny spot. One of the worse McDonald's I've been too. Poor staff were trying to keep up with the cleaning.

So after having to have a share box of mozzarella bites as no small bags for 6 I then have to have a 20 box of nuggets as share box also sold out I order and pay for garlic dip then have to wait in bay. Get home and low and behold not a single dip in bag and nuggets are stone cold!! Not happy 😒 given 4 stars on service because everyone was very polite.

Horrible customer experience, very rude shift management, no apology - and once we did get our order after 30 mins, burgers were dry, chips were cold and milkshakes and ice cream was melted. Worse McDonald’s EVER!

Waited 35 minutes for my meal, when it finally arrived; the burger was wrong and was paired with half a portion of fries, cheese bites given small box rather share box, chicken nuggets box of 20 was missing completely which meant basically all of the food was wrong! On the plus side the drinks were right, unfortunately with the extra wait for the correct food to be supplied they started to warm up (one was a frappe). Possibly the worst visit I have experienced to McDonalds.

Very tight parking ...not good for disabled people

Ordered from just eat what the hell is the point? Half my order didn't turn up and the bags were sealed sort it out! How hard is it to pack a meal and read the labels

Nice for breakfast, usually we are just going to drive through. No very big inside but as I said, very good in the early morning for breakfast

Made order on app for collection, arrived into drive thru. Was told to park up and they’d bring it out. Waited 30 minutes before going back up. They gave my order to someone else. I then had to give them my order again, and had to wait another 15 minutes for the order. Got home about 5 minutes away and 2 items missing from order. Their Fanta tasted like robinsons squash with lemonade. And another wrong drink given, but they also threw in some free dips that I didn’t even ask for or wanted. So much for fast food.

Terrible drive through really badly designed way too small to cope don't bother you'll almost certainly be told to go and park up and wait forever for your food they need to either close it down or relocate

Extremely poor experience yesterday. Allowing customers to place orders on the app and then closing for 45 minutes whilst receiving a delivery (although they had told us it would only be closed for 10 minutes). The staff then lost my order that I had been charged for. No apology provided and the staff operate at a snail pace without a care in the world. Also, the restaurant area was filthy - by the time my food was ready, I was put-off eating it. I have been in contact with Head Office today. Worst McDonald's branch in the UK!

Had a delivery from just eat, items missing, He said drinks and desserts spilled !! 3 drinks gone just ice left ! and 2 flurry’s half gone but not much spillage in the bag !! Perhaps he was thirsty, ring doorbell shows him wiping his mouth and brushing down his T-shirt All bags should be sealed and with lids that don’t spill. Very disappointed. Won’t be ordering delivery again

Fast thrash food. Qualitative and quantitative lower category. Mom should just avoid it. You can only eat everything once! Very expensive

Sadly this is the last stop before boarding the ferry. The staff obviously dedicated to their jobs not having time to interact with the customers. Be prepared for parking issues.

Terrible service at drive thru.... told to park up and food would be brought out but there were no spaces in car park. Went to drive thru window and asked where my food was and was told it was on side but couldn't pass it to me and that someone would bring it out. Explained that I can't wait in a space and that I was blocking others in and the route around the tiny car park but again was told that I couldn't have my food and then they threatened to call police as I was creating a health and safety risk at the drive thru. Terrible service, no apology and I could see others in the same situation. Not great service after a long trip from France with tired kids.

Busy store , seems very popular and staff seem to have their work cut out , but they do a good job .

It’s McDonald’s. They always forget parts to your order and are not happy if you complain. Food is always cold by the time it gets to you even if you live 5 minutes away. Takes an hour or more to get to you after ordering. It is a tiny restaurant and always very busy. This is me being nice.

Fries, chicken strips and nuggets were hot and fresh which I loved. So delicious 😋
