I have had food from Maxi's for years and will continue to order from them, but that will be with one exception. Calzone is often my pizza of choice but sadly the offering from Maxi's is without doubt the worst example of a Calzone. I understand that for obvious religious reasons Maxi's will not use real ham in a Calzone and probably not in any other of their 'ham' related pizzas, but the ham substitute that is used is frankly awful and definitely a pizza to be avoided at Maxi's. It hasn't put me off ordering something else from the menu and my review is not intended to persuade customers to avoid Maxi's..... Just avoid the Calzone!!

I've been ordering from Maxis for years and the food is usually really tasty. But the last order came as a shock, prices have gone up slightly which is expected but the portion size? Halved! A dinner kebab on naan would usually do 2 meals, but now the tiny miserable thing I got barely filled me. Same for curries, half the portion they used to be. Very disappointed and no longer value for money.

My favourite takeaway just wish they were on just eat or could pay online as I rarely have cash anymore

I love your food, but Onion Bhajis bloody horrible. Flat tasteless pancakes. Whats wrong with some good old gram flour,onoin and spices. I make the best.

Absolutley disgusting. Waste of money. Went in the bin. If u like salt go for it really bad. Usually bad but excelled there selves

Been a favourite of ours for years, they are so lovely, deliver promptly and food is great. The kebabs re a real favourite in our family. They send us a christmas card every year too!

I regularly order from Maxis, if you want a pizza great! but I can’t reccoment the curry. The chicken balti was a little watery and had a lot of fairly large chunks of green pepper which wasn’t too pleasant. It wasn’t like a chicken balti I have had from a lot of other places.

Maxis has been are 'Go-to' for a top notch curry for years now. We have occasionally tried others but always go back to Maxis The guys always make you feel wanted and its an experience every time Keep it up

There is two Take Aways I love up here, one being Bella Dale ( for their Angus Burgers ) and Maxi's for their gorgeous yummy Pizza's!!!! Really worthwhile eating here!

Just love this takeaway, pizza, indian etc.. always great service, pleasant, fast, fresh and tasty and a good price. Havent tried the restaurant yet, but intend to very soon.

Conducido cada día pasado maxi's durante los últimos 8 años sin llamar, pasó por esta noche a las 10. 30:00 después de trabajar tarde, hambre pero sin esperar ningún ser abierto, feliz de ver que aún estaba abierta, Maxi's.La bienvenida con una sonrisa y una agradable conversación y rápidamente me pidió un pollo madras, arroz hervido y un par de chapatis.Tenía un vistazo al menú mientras aguardaba - parece genial! Comida lista en 10 minutos.Guau. madras fabuloso. Hay suficiente calor para que te sientas y lo tomen en serio, pero no la máscara del curry fantástico sabor. No hay exceso de ghee a verter. Perfecto.El sabor me llevó de vuelta a hace 30 años cuando curry casas eran bastante básicas, pero el curry estaba buenísimo! Bien hecho chicos. Nos veremos de nuevo. X

I live in Skelmanthorpe and have had some take away orders from MAXIS but every time they come with the wrong order. never apologetic, when youve come home from a long journey etc and they bring a medium sized pizza when youve ordered a family. then numerous times asked for fries none came order take away so i dont have to cook , but end up having to cook something else , donrt listen when taking order or dont speak English enough to understand so frustrating when your starving and they turn up with a medium pizza that was not ordered , rang up sand they said another would be delivered it never came ruin our evening . rang next day they just dismisive dont go there ever. pizzas not that good employ people who have no idea what they are doing or understand english if you want a take away make sure you check it before they leave who wants to wait another hour for the correct pizza or order disgusting

Pedimos llevar por primera vez desde Maxis esta noche, basado en otros comentarios. Llegó muy rápido, pero la calidad de la comida es mala. El pilau arroz parece una bolsa de Smarties, y mi "Denby Dale "curry Especial era simplemente básicamente algunos cordero comida precocinada contra una salsa naranja bastante corriente con algunas crudas pimientos. Mi marido dijo que su cordero Rogan Josh estaba bien, pero el primer plato era normalito. Es un pub en el mejor de los casos- para llevar boozie si he tenido unas cervezas, entonces probablemente estaba bien - pero no es gran comida india. No pienso que nos molestó de nuevo.

Found myself up here on business and as usual fancied an Indian so popped on here for one, OMG what a find, this place is immaculately decorated in true Indian bling, I have attached a couple of pics but they really don't do justice to this place, on top of that they sell Lal Toofan premium lager on draught and it's a very nice pint, the service is spot on and so is the food, a little overuse of red food colouring in my Chicken Tikka Madras but it still tasted fantastic, all round a very good restaurant well worth a visit, by the way false info on the internet says they only take cash payments they don't they take cards as well.

Great food, good service. Even whispered to adults to ask if we wanted dessert as they realise that the kids would want one and we might not. Never known a restaurant to be so thoughtful to a family.

El restaurante tiene un ambiente agradable y está bien amueblado y siempre encontrará el personal era educado y servicial, especialmente cuando buscan consejos sobre específicos y lo que específicamente platos como. No es demasiado caro, y diría que este lugar como uno de los mejores de la zona. Tengo una importante criticsm que parece cada vez más la norma, todo el personal de cocina colgar alrededor de la puerta para fumadores y luego tire sus cigarrillos en el suelo antes de volver dentro... odio este!

Nos encanta la comida. Somos vegetarianos y menú maxi's, es muy bueno para nosotros. Además, el personal es muy dispuesto a adaptar platos. Mi favorito es el actual de hongos paneer.El servicio es amable y el ambiente relajado. La decoración es divertido estar con reminiscencias de una película de Hollywood. Recomiendo una visita.

A quite large restaurant, linked to a busy takeaway. Excellent food. Friendly service. Rather over-the-top decor with lots of gold paint - assume it's not real gold! - fantastical ornaments and glass topped tables - very naff-1970s in style. Can thoroughly recommend it though.

Love it here. Food delicious, staff are really friendly. We went on a weekday so was really quiet but out of town restaurants tend to be so we didn't mind.

Mi pareja y yo visitamos Maxi, hace más de un año que estuvimos en la zona y nos encantó tanto que propuse volver.El jueves (10 marzo th), nos pareció que volveríamos a Maxi es como era mi cumpleaños especial afiliado, y como extra-especial delicia, quería llevar a Maxi's.A eso de las 9:30, llegamos al restaurante. Sólo había un camarero, y no diners. El camarero nos dijo que él estaba a punto de cerrar las puertas ya que estaba muy tranquilo. Nos dijo que no era un problema y nos gustaría regresar la noche siguiente. El hombre insistía en que estaba bien, y nos mostró una mesa, aunque sin una sonrisa ... podríamos decir que no era mejor satisfechos.Le pregunté si estaba seguro que no le importó estar allí, comprendimos que era muy tranquilo y él quería cerca, y que estaban más que dispuestos a llamar al día siguiente. Su respuesta fue, "en realidad no importa, prefiero ir a casa, pero mi jefe no estaría muy contento si me resultó ser clientes lejos." bien, no íbamos a comer en algún lugar que no queríamos, así que nos levantamos, eran perfectamente educado, pero la izquierda y comimos por la carretera en el Palacio Tandoori. El hombre estaba diciendo "No, no es adecuado", pero realmente, no estamos yendo a sentir bienvenidos cuando dijo lo que hizo.Es una pena, ya que el restaurante es muy bonito por dentro, y la comida en nuestra visita antes era excepcional. Pasamos alrededor de £50 la última vez y me he pasado el mismo el jueves bastante fácilmente en buenas bebidas y comida para el cumpleaños de mi novio, así que es su pérdida.

Regular visitors, we drive to this place at least 4 times a year and have never been disappointed. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We have also visited with family and friends and everyone has been well pleased.

Esta fue una de las muchas visitas a Maxi y, como siempre, nos dieron la bienvenida con una cálida bienvenida y la decoración es de primera clase. Ordered from here a few times as my boyfriend is from Denby Dale so we order when visiting family there..food is always hot tasty and well worth the money..and delivery always comes quicker than their estimated time..

A great Indian restaurant with great food and personalised service. They take the time to get to know you and will make customisations to dishes if you require. Highly recommended!

We went last week with a party of 26. We all had a fabulous night, Food was gorgeous and we all got served together and quickly. Nothing was too much hassle and the staff where brilliant and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough.. Fab

Normalmente nos pida comida para llevar de la sección de Maxis, sin embargo nos apetecía cambiar un poco! El personal aquí es estupendo y muy amable. La comida es buena y el ambiente. Las bebidas son un poco caras pero nada ridículo. La comida se sirve en el buen sentido y ciertos platos sizzling venir en una bandeja que aumenta la experiencia.

Este lugar está justo al final de la carretera formulario nosotros y lo hemos hecho durante años. Los curries están llenos de sabor, de tamaño generoso de parte y no para nadar en ghee como en algunos otros lugares. Los naans de ajo es un sitio de paso obligado, con tal de que realmente como el ajo. Este lugar tiene una semana oferta que creo que todavía es 10 libras por popadoms, primer plato, lados y main con café o té después. Muy buena relación calidad-precio! No hagas caso a todos los comentarios de los detractores, son simplemente exigente!

Esta fue mi primera visita aquí con amigos que visitan regularmente. La primera cosa que notas es la decoración grandiosa! Hay un montón de 'bling bling" pero creo que eso es parte de su encanto.Pedimos una gran variedad de platos y algunas en la recomendación del camarero. Toda la comida que pedimos estaba caliente, fresco y en gran cantidad. Tuve el Tikka de pescado como entrante y fue tierna y sabrosa. No es mi elección habitual pero me habría otra vez! El Biryani de pollo era una enorme que sirve, llena de sabor y verduras.El restaurante es muy limpio y bien cuidado. El personal era alegre, amable y servicial.Volveré a visitarlo!

Our party of 12 were very well looked after with prompt considerate service. The atmosphere was excellent in the characterful room. The curries were of top quality - having 3 courses and lots of drinks which worked out at £20/head. Everyone left happy and fulfilled.
