My wife & I visited this diner & were delighted by the menu & service. The food was superb! We have never been before but, will be going again!

The food was cold. They asked if we would have the starters and main course at the same time. They mop the floor around us. We felt very rushed

I would have given 5 stars, but for the fact that there was a service charge which I was not aware of. Otherwise the food was very good and a pleasant rest.

I stopped in for a coffee and pancakes on my way to Yeovil. Service was quick and friendly. I had my coffee and pancakes roughly 5 minutes after ordering. There were around 10 other tables with people and the atmosphere was happy. A waitress came to check I was happy with my order when I was about halfway through my pancakes. I'm not sure why this fantastic cafe has so many poor reviews. I have been here several times maybe once or twice a year whilst passing and I have always received great service with a smile and great food served within a realistic timeframe. The atmosphere has always been warm and vibrant and the decor is great. I will continue to visit to enjoy this great 50's style diner.

Worst place I've ever eaten (and eaten at a few!), Emphasis on "the look" and they get that right, and the two waitresses were brilliant and tried hard, however the food was absolutely appalling. Fish that was not defrosted and / or cooked properly, couldn't even cut it, meatballs that was so dry I think they were trying to theme them with the Arizona desert. We mentioned this and the waitresses were extremely apologetic and clearly embarrassed that the so-called management were not really interested in taking off the bill! Would not go back even on a free menu - all the frills supported with absolutely appalling food, at a place that clearly does not care if they are getting it right, as shown by the large number of bad reviews AVOID - McDonald's is better and a 1/3 of the price!

We called into Junction 32 a few days before The Lockdown,the centre itself was almost deserted,with quite a few stores closed. As we'd been on a long walk beforehand,we were quite hungry,so I ordered the large breakfast.This was well presented and the food well cooked and of good quality. The place itself was very clean and the staff were attentive and friendly.

It looks good from out side and welcomed and taken to a table given menus all good so far then a waitress came over took our order nice and easy 2 burgers with a milkshake and a beer 30 minutes later no sign of drinks or food yet there was 5+ waiters just stood around we kept looking over at them but nothing you would think an empty table would be an incline something wasn’t right they served other people while we sat their and then when everyone’s food and drink where given and yet nothing for us my partner then walked up and they just said there’s a problem with the till Our food arrived and looked like it been rushed didn’t taste the best and the only apology was when they gave the food saying sorry it’s taken a bit of time 50 minutes sat their with no drink or food I asked if they can do something to the bill normally I wouldn’t I would just leave but the way that others all got served before us even tho they all arrived after we ordered and myself being diabetic after shopping could have really done with out the delay They replied it was the tills fault and no they can’t give any discount or anything So we paid and walked out and will never go back in again

One to avoid. I have been to a lot of restaurants and must say this is the worst place I have been to. Hubby asked for his steak medium but when it came it was cremated. I had the meatballs - well 3 of the meatballs were not cooked - there was so much cheese and sauce it was hard to eat - never even finished our drinks as we just wanted to get out of the place. 3 other people complained - we noticed nothing was taken off their bill we just paid and left. The chips that came with the steak were undercooked and the onion ring was horrendous. Would not even use the toilets as I would have probably been even more derogatory. If visiting the shops my advice stick to a coffee shop and avoid this place

Me & my friend really fancied pancakes for lunch & saw that they did them here. Went in and ordered, we went for nutella & banana pancakes which came with cream and ice cream. I wasn't expecting much for less than a fiver but WOW. What came was amazing! It was a lot bigger than I expected and it was absolutely gorgeous, definitely hit the spot, could not finish it all. Would definitely go again.

Wish I read the reviews before going into this place it says it all..... the food was horrible, looked so unappetising and tasted worse, wish I sent it all back but as we’d been shopping all day we were hungry & As we had a 2 year old I didnt want her to be hungry either.. I had a panini which was more like a cold seeded sandwich which I picked at to say the least. I ordered the ‘veggie pasta’ off the children’s menu thinking it would be pasta with some sort of vegetables, it was like Heinz spaghetti not what I was expecting for £4.90, my daughter never ate it and I brought this to the attention of the waiter that it is not ‘veggie pasta’ she said this was all they had, had to go to subway afterwards to feed my child. Biggest waste of money. Will avoid in future

Attended on Saturday afternoon around 4pm, surprisingly quiet for that time of day! Freezing inside so we didn’t take our coats off, waited 15 minutes seated until a member of staff noticed us there, friendly and informative member of staff that answered our queries about dishes from the menu. A couple that arrived after us were waited on whilst we weren’t even noticed. Forty minutes later our food arrived, cold chips and burnt chicken wings, cold “hot chocolate”, when brought to the attention of the staff we sat waiting to see what would happen, that long we approached the “bickering” staff prodding the food around the plate, just to let them know we were leaving! Never again!

My first items I wanted they didn't have. My second choice was cold. Gave excuses on appliances weren't working correctly. Will not call again

This place looks like the best option at Junction 32... but it isn’t. The staff were very good to their credit, warm, friendly and attentive. The issue with this restaurant is the food. Which is a pretty major issue. The sign on the way in says ‘food is freshly prepared’. Unsure how they can claim that when the chicken wings were cooked through but fridge cold in the middle. The onion rings were terrible - chewy and uncooked. The burger we shared was made almost entirely of gristle - which makes you think that for £15 the margins must be ludicrous. Save your money, walk over to Xscape and spend half the amount at McDonalds for an infinitely better meal. We will never be going back there. Which is a shame as the potential is there.

Avoid this place like the plague. Food is poor, cooking is poor, portion size is poor, staff not bothered or interested in you. My kids had the meatball pasta which was as dry as cardboard and the meatball disintegrated as soon as I put a knife on them. I had the ribs which were also overcooked tough as boots and cold then to top it off drowning in bbq sauce. Then took 20 minutes for someone to clear my table and another 20 minutes for them to bring me my bill. I will NEVER be visiting this venue again. Liked the decor tho.

Visited the diner for lunch whilst shopping at Junction 32 Outlets. The food was OK - nothing to write home about. I had a 'lonesome' Bill Haley burger which was tasty enough and supplemented it with chunky chips and onion rings. My wife had an 'all the way' Elvis Presley burger, which comes with is a £4 premium for onion rings (for 'rings' read 'ring'), salad (a very small, limp affair), coleslaw (in a tiny pot) and French Fries. The premium was really not worth it - the seperately ordered sides I had were only £4.90 and there was plenty in them to share. Service was OK, pleasant waitress and reasonably quick. But now we come to the crunch which unfortunately I did not realise until later when I thought the bill a bit large for a fast food lunch. I had a burger (£7.50), two sides (total £4.90) and a glass of wine (£4.50). My wife had a burger (£11.95) and a Diet Coke (£2.05) so the bill should have been £30.90. However, it was £37.04 - an overcharge of £6.14. My fault for not checking it, but pretty shoddy.

Being a tuesday and term time it was quiet. So plenty of seating choice. BUT while waitress was pleasant she was too impatient to take my order As being a first visit i wanted to have a good look at what was on the menu I had to say TWICE please give me time to decide. I ordered the Ellis Island pasta Which was hot and tasty Though too much pasta and the meatballs were crumbly not dry as such just crumbly. I ordered a coke but did not expect a bottled coke If they do coke on tap this should be offered

Errrr so can’t really knock the food, it was pretty good. The negative part of the visit was pretty minor to most but very annoying to me. As someone with a permanent ileostomy & Crohn’s disease, there are certain foods I can’t eat, Baked beans & sausages are 2 of these! I asked if the sausage could be exchanged for bacon “absolutely not” if beans could be a hash brown or something? “No, it’s The menu” Ok can you leave the sausage and beans off “no” Amazing! So yeah, massively inflexible to dietary requirements, very disappointing Oh and my scrambled eggs came out fried and my fried white bread came out as granary toast. Changing my score to 2 dots actually!

I wish I'd read these reviews before my friend and I decided to go. We pass it often and today we decided to go in. We were served pretty quick. But when our meals came, my salad on the plate had a dead fly on. Had to wait a good few minutes before getting a waiters attention (they were all stood chatting by the bar) when I finally did explain about the dead fly, in there credit they brought me a fresh meal. But my friend had finished hers by the time it came!! The kitchen clearly isn't clean enough to be serving food with dead fly's on!! The food was nothing to write home about, very average. After the meals we asked for our bill when our plates were taken away. 10 minutes had passed and still no bill! So we had to go up to the bar and request a bill ourselves. Not exactly great table service. When asked if we enjoyed our food I said no and we wouldn't return again, all I got was a sorry! £30+ for 2 burgers and a drink. Ridiculous prices, I'd rather have gone to McDonalds, it would have been better services and half the price. It'll teach me next time to read the reviews.

Awful customer service, rude staff, poor food. Waitress knocked my fork on the floor and just looked at it and said sorry and walked off! Had to ask another waiter to get me another one! Food not as described on the menu. They asked if meal was ok I said no not really and explained why the food wasn't nice. She just said oh sorry. Would never eat here again!

We dont get chance to eat often but we wanted to try here as on the outside it looks amazing and the decor does live up to its name, that's where the good bits end. Service was fast after we had to go get out own menus from a waitress who was playing on her phone. The food looked ok but then after the surface of looks it was awful. Bbq chicken wings were actually black and hidden under the wedges, onion rings looked golden and crispy were soggy and cold in the middle, the burger wasnt cooked the bread roll was edible and the garlic bread was ok too. But for a £50 meal out it was shocking a fast food burger would have been 100 times better. We will not be returning and wish we had read reviews before going

Went here on the 17th August and ordered the ice platter to share. We waited 30 mins before I asked where our order was to be told by a member of staff that they would ask. Another 15 minutes elapsed before our order came and not even an apology for it being late!!!

This has been a favourite place to sometimes stop & have breakfast when travelling down to the West Country to see family or on our way to Devon for a holiday. Having not been for a while I was very much looking forward to my breakfast treat. How very disappointed I was with my choice! My scrambled eggs on toast arrived & my heart sank! Two pieces of thin toast with a small amount of badly made scrambled egg on top! I had seen a waitress asking another table if everything was alright & was waiting for someone to come & ask me as I would have definitely been honest. However no one did ask! I realise that I should have complained at the time, as you should know when the chef isn’t producing the best food.

Came here will family for a meal , we decided to have the fish and the steaks , our steak was very overcooked and the chips were really greasy, the fish was undercooked and raw so my partner decided to leave it , we all left very hungry which is a shame as the milkshakes are really nice . I don't think we would call in again , it's a shame because it's a nice place and staff are great but the food really let's it down

I am currently sat eating in here now, only stayed because I’ve already paid and the prices are ridiculous, my burger looks like a mayo chicken from McDonald’s and I’m fuming, I got one piece of lettuce one slice of tomato 4 slices of red onion and one onion ring and one small tub of coleslaw. I’m starving, when I leave here I’m going somewhere else to fill my self up

Had lunch here on Saturday afternoon. The diner was very clean and tidy, with pleasant friendly staff in attendance. The food was good and tasty, as well as being reasonably priced. Good value for money.

Just visited the diner. Waited 50 minutes for food, was told it was on its way. It was, but was given to someone else! We left. Would not recommend.

A nice looking diner with helpful staff but unfortunately it took an hour to get our food, after a long wait we asked the waitress when our food was coming she then asked the chef who shouted and swore at her. The waitress was very apologetic and gave us a discount when the bill came. There were also a number of things unavailable from the menu. It was quite clear the chef had forgotten us as a number of tables who came after us got served first. I have spent a lot of time in the USA and that kind of service does not happen there. When the food came it was ok but not great but the milk shakes were good.

Sat in full view of kitchen and watched whilst a member of food prep staff took more interest in his mobile phone whilst chewing his fingers....nice. Staff stood around doing nothing whilst they could’ve cleaned under the equipment on the counter which was at my eye level.

Ordered hickory chicken and tea for my wife me and my daughter ordered cola and latte spot on the 2 Elvis Presley (lonesome) burgers and skinny chips was the problem waitress was foreign not listening properly or not understanding but got the more expensive burgers costing £45 in all having 5 minutes trying to sort out the staff and getting know where with them will not STEP FOOT IN THE PLACE AGAIN 1 STAR AND THAT'S BEING GENEROUS

During a shopping trip (Monday, May 27th), my wife, son and I decided to visit after a previous visit several years ago showed promise (we only had cheesy chips and drinks before).

Went here today with my family expecting a quality experience but instead got completely the opposite. What summed it for me was when the most senior assistant asked me if everything had been ok to which I said it had been extremely sub-standard. Instead of asking me why and showing any level of interest she simply gave me a disinterested look and walked away. By this time I had already paid their over inflated prices for the poor meals they had served us. A lesson I have taken away from this is I will never tolerate nor pay for poor service and food again. Its 5 hours later and I’m still wound up about the poor service, food quality and lack of customer service. Wish I had read the rest of the trip advisor reports before hand as they all report pretty much the same thing. My worst experience ever eating out and it doesn’t even warrant 1 star.

We called in today after a birthday weekend away and was planing on making it lovely end to the weekend, how wrong!!

Slightly disappointing, the hotdogs are worth the visit but the chips were not very nice. The oil needed changing on the fryer.

My wife and I were at the shopping area. We decided to have some lunch. I’d popped to the toilet and spotted the American Diner. We decided to give it a go.

Toilets were filthy and food was rubbish, was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to eating here

Ordered a kids meal. Wrong drink came out. It was replaced. Wrong ice cream received. Ordered choc. Wouldn't mind if It was busy but only about a dozen people in. Staff had the charm of a wasp!!! Shouldve gone to subway.

Did not expect much following reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Burgers were great, sandwich nice, service good... despite staff being very busy. Give it a try and you might be surprised. Would visit again.

Came here for lunch as Fancied a sit down. Not sure about all the negative reviews as it was nice for the price! Husband had a steak and the chips were really nice. I had a tuna panini which came in a nice seedy bread. Friendly staff no complaints.

Looks great! My expectations from reading the menu was so high!! However myself and my friend seriously let down. Staff were lovely and food brought quickly! The food though....serious thumbs down. 30 quid on 2 burgers that were at best bland!! The chips and onion rings felt and tasted like reheats... The batter was like donut batter! Just so not worth £11.50 for a 6oz burger! I’ll pay decent money for great food, sadly this was dire. Such a shame as it has the potential to be brilliant.

Called in on a recent visit for the first time. Looks like a typical cheesy American diner. An overworked staff worked hard to make the visit enjoyable but the food was scandalous. I had spare ribs, no idea what animal they came from but they were 90% fat and cartilage covered in a nondescript sauce. I don't think gino d'campo could have made a decent meal using this kind of low quality base. My wife , quite wisely had a paninni, How can a pannini go wrong, no idea but it did! The bread was dry , unimaginatively presented and minimal filling. I wouldn't revisit even for a freebie. Thanks to the staff for trying but my advice would be to get a job better suited to your talents and leave this place to fall apart. The one star is for the staff and the overpriced, but delicious milkshake,

Went to diner as first one ever seen and was killing time. I went in to get a tea and coffee and the lady serving did not understand me saying I wanted some tea taken from my cup as to full and could not get milk in she seemed quite rude and was talking to another member of staff quietly but knew they were discussing me as both kept looking at me i then asked for some chips I then proceeded to add the vinegar which to my horror was maple syrup I was not even asked if I wanted new the syrup was in a vinegar shaped bottle with no writing on. I will not go there again

The staff were very nice but disappointed with the food. Cold fries and onion rings, stale bread for the BLT and burger. The whole place was cold and our coffee soon lost its heat. The idea for this place is good but the execution was poor. Also far too expensive for what you get.

Great portion sizes for appetisers for food prices! The interior of the place is really that of an American diner in the middle of Yorkshire, which is definitely exciting!

Well where do you start. Paid £13 for an Elvis burger and I could have dug up the man himself to make a better burger, if you can call it a burger. Felt uncomfortable as the staff was arguing all while we was there. Such a shame because it is lovely inside but it needs new owners ASAP.

Popped in here after the mini golf and wished we hadn’t! It’s a shame as this place could be so good, you can see what they are trying to achieve with the decor. The staff made us feel like we were a nuisance though, firstly being shown to a table and secondly asking to have the table and floor cleaned of chips! The kids options were limited and the drinks were a joke. No juices, just Coca Cola or Sprite etc. except it wasn’t. It was a ‘tuckshop’ bottle of cola and lemonade.

We the been here a few years ago and absaloutly loved it. However today it was horrible! Staff were walking round like they were in a daze and so sad looking, the manager seemed to be taking over every single task undermining the other staff members no wonder they looked so pissed off. The food was crap! My side said consisted of 1 half of a lettuce leaf, 2 mouldy dried up cucumber slices.. and a mouldy tomato slice! The burger was greasy as hell with cheese that was far from the cheese I was expecting.. the kids meals were served in cardboard boxes with burnt chips and some form of chicken in a burnt batter!! I could go on and on.. I won't be returning here.. New staff and management is in desperate need!!!

five adults and three children.hard to judge staff as they were all non English and don't react same as us Yorkshire folk.food seemed fair until we discovered mould on the bread of one of the childrens hot dog rolls,we all found it difficult to eat after that.

We went for dinner today the service was great .The let down was I ordered ribs and they arrived cold.I complained and they grudgingly replaced them.I used to make a special trip to eat at this diner. Sorry but I won't be going out of my way to eat here again.

Had a nice breakfast but felt so unwelcome . Waitress was so miserable. Not what you expect from what looks a fun diner. Still vacumining 15 mins after diner opened . Didn't check after service to see if things were ok . Food was good but really need to work on customer experience

Burgers were fantastic. Shakes were great. Restaurant were very accommodating with our two year old and happily did plain pasta for him and they put chips on his plate too. It was like all his Christmas’s had come at once.

Food was actually really nice, had a hot dog and my bf ordered one of the burgers. However the whole experience in there was awkward. The staff were walking around in a complete daze, rude and disinterested. My drink came wrong and the waiter slammed my correct drink down with no apology. It was also hard work trying to get any of the staffs attention when they were just stood around. We went in there to relax but I just left feeling frustrated. Won't go in again until there's improvements as it was shocking.

What it does, it does really well. Lovely surroundings and very clean. Prompt, polite service. Really good quality hot dog and burger. Very interesting pictures on the wall of 1950s America. Enjoyed it.

We sat down and ordered our food in a timely manner. The food came but our drinks hasn't, (1 diet coke and 1 americano). We had to remind a waiter to get our drinks.

Seated quickly.Ordered Elvis burger, egg mayo club and chicken club sandwich. Sandwich fillings ok but bread very dry and did not like the balsamic glaze over the bit of salad on the side of plate. Staff friendly enough only two on at lunch time, quite busy. £36 for the above plus milkshake, coke and orange juice. Will leave a while before we return.

We went for breakfast for a birthday treat and were the first customers in the restaurant. The waiters were unhelpful, disinterested and awkward from the moment we sat down and didn’t seem well informed of their menu. We had to wipe down our seats before we could sit down as they were covered in crumbs. When the food came, the sausages, hash browns and mushrooms were all stiff, shrivelled and over cooked and when we calmly explained this and asked for it to be taken away the waiter said ‘well it’s not my fault’. Also the toilets were dirty and blocked and some of the taps didn’t work.

This is one of the worst ‘restaurants’ we have ever eaten in, anywhere. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t condemned it already and it has survived with such appalling service and ‘food’! Avoid this place like the plague. It would’ve received 0 if it was a possible score on TripAdvisor!

Having never visited this restaurant, I decided to bring my friend who was visiting as it seemed a great idea. Walking into the restaurant, we weren’t acknowledged by a member of staff by approx 2-3 minutes so were stood waiting cluelessly at the door. After being seated, we were greeted by our waiter who spoke very poor English and therefore was a struggle with a language barrier from the word go! We then placed our order and were waiting for 35 minutes before the waitress brought our order to our table, this order in which was wrong; it was then a further 10 minutes of the staff coming back and fourth to our table repeatedly asking what we’d ordered. There were 4 or 5 members of staff stood around the bar talking about us, we then had our original waiter come over and begin aggresively speaking to us telling us that we had ordered exactly what had come out, (baring in mind I ordered a Hickory Chicken, and Fish and Chips arrived at our table). He was very rude and abrupt to us which made us feel very angry. We then decided that we would just pay for our drinks and leave our meals, as we were leaving a member of staff rudely said VERY LOUD “Are they leaving?? WHY??” And pulled her nose up at us as we left. We were absolutely disgusted by this restaurant and will absolutely NOT be returning!

We visited today whilst in the middle of a shopping trip. Sign says food is cooked fresh so it may take a while. It took about 10 mins before they took our order, another 30 mins before food arrived. Burgers dry, onion rings & chips soggy, small portions. Husband ordered a burger with guacamole, chilli & soured cream, came as plain burger with cheese, sent it back, came back again with just a bit of chilli in it. No apology, no one came to ask how food was as they do in most restraunts, table dirty. Waitress polite but clearly disinterested. Wish we’d gone over the road to Maccy’s for half the price. Only positive was the decoration, great pictures to study whilst waiting ...

If you love McDonald's food but want to pay £7 for a basic burger this is the place for you. Every member of staff seemed to be in training and didn't have a clue what they where doing. We asked for a burger with cheese. Nothing special just a cheese burger but because it wasn't on the menu ( they do cheese burgers other toppings but not just a basic cheese burger) it took three members of staff with poor attitude to place our order.

Visited while out shopping. Staff were clueless. Orders were taken on electronic tablet devices and the member of staff we got clearly needed more training. No ice in drinks was a disappointment to begin with. Food was poor and a bit on the cold side. The tiniest sides of coleslaw, peas and tartare sauce I have ever seen in my life! Staff walk around the restaurant in endless circles, constantly, doing nothing - enough to make you dizzy watching them! Staff member cleared away one of our plates while the other was still eating - HUGE NO NO in my opinion. I would not visit here again. One to avoid - we will not be returning.

the worst food iv ever had the burgers are burnt the bun is full of oil so when you took a bite you get a mouth full of fatty oil the ouion rings were also burnt to a crisp the chips were frozen chips not fresh chips the money you pay is not worth the food you have it's a shame it looks like a nice place inside and out but the food is disgusting so I rate this place 0/5

We popped in after the lunch rush, no one even looked at us to seat us, menus were plopped on the table without a word and the food was cold, some so cold it wasn’t even cooked in the first place.

My wife, 2 boys and I called in on Junction 32 on our way home from Snowdon. We visited Mattia Diner which looks very appealing from the outside and well set out inside. That's the end of anything positive which can be said about this place. We were seated and I asked if the table could be cleaned as there were crumbs and marks from drinks on the table the waitress dragged a menu across the table and it was clean. The food was awful, one son had toad in the hole and the mash potato was the consistency of wall paper paste, the chips had been reheated and were not enjoyable the Pepsi cola had a greasy aftertaste. Service was strange, very slow at providing menus, food and the bill but whipping away finished plates even when others were still eating. The staff didn't really communicate or make you feel welcome not sure if that was down to not caring, lack of interest or knowledge that they were serving rubbish. My eldest asked why we should pay for something when we left a large amount untouched.

My son and myself went in as it looked fab from the outside. Inside it also looked great.we waited a few minutes to be seated. The waitress held up 2 fingers and pointed to a nearby table for 2 and then walked away. No words were spoken other than the word "two"

I've eaten here once before with a friend and found it good enough to revisit several months later. Today there were three of us. First of all the place looks good, clean, and reasonable authentic for an American Diner but that's the end of the good points. £8.99 for a thin piece of dubious fish with horrible fat chips and no vegetables. There was a small portion of tartare sauce and a huge bowl of vile looking mayonnaise which wasn't touched. The Hickory Chicken is a joke. Very thin pieces of dried out or crispy hard chicken with no taste of chicken or hickory sauce, smothered in cheap cheese. a mountain of thin fries completed the meal. £3.99 for a 330ml bottle of Peroni and "£2.90 for a 330ml bottle of coke. No ice!!!! Drinks arrived within 10 minutes of sitting down, food was another 20 minutes and was delivered without a smile or a word. There was no cutlery so I went in search of cutlery only to find a divided tray which was almost empty and didn't have any forks. No apology from the staff who were supposed to bring it to the table. I was told they were waiting for forks from the dishwasher and they would bring them over. 5 minutes later we were still sitting there without cutlery. A waitress passed and I smiled and said 'we're still waiting for cutlery' she returned a minute or two later with the required knives and forks. The menu is really simple, short and just fat and calorie laden junk. No veggies or salads offered at all. £36.00 for 3 single course plates of badly cooked junk food and 3 drinks. Definitely won't be returning.

Visited with my Husband, Mum and Auntie, the latter not big meat eaters, but were tempted by the giant Yorkshire pudding, served with sausage, onions and gravy...after we’d asked if it could be ordered without sausage.

We wanted to sit outside which was lovely but the waitress completely forgot about us to take order. Went to remind them and took another 5min for them to come even though the restaurant was empty. The waitress didn’t even apologise. This is NOT a classic 50s American diner. Ordered a root beef which I thought would be ice cold served from tap but luke cold bottled Australian root beer came out. The meal was like from another other cafe. If you in junction 32 there’s are other better options than this place...

Have tried this diner twice thinking the first time was an off day. I was wrong! The service is really bad slow to take food/drinks and even worse if you want a desert or to pay. I don't mind paying a higher price for drinks/food if nice but the milk shakes are really over priced and came with half of it froth the cheese they use on everything is the squeeze cheese from a tube. We ordered the nachos and if came drenched in squeeze cheese I couldn't eat any of it

I attended with my young family for a quick bite to eat midweek.

Don't go,customer service none existence, a please, thank you or even a smile wouldn't go a miss, as for the food it's the worst meal I've ever had.

As a keen TripAdvisor reviewer I don't quite get why most people are slating this place, I called here with my wife Saturday lunchtime and was understandably worried when I started looking at the comments made by other members, she called here with her friends a few weeks ago and was really pleased with what was offered so I chose to stay, I am glad I did yes I admit it took a few minutes to get a menu after being seated, our order was taken and considering how busy it was the food arrived in about 15 mins, a massive sharing platter for 2, and it was actually too much we couldn't finish it, pretty impressed with the place.

When we arrived we were pointed towards a booth table despite one of the party being in a wheelchair. Given kids menu labelled up to 10 for a 12 year old and therefore had to share one filthy and scruffy menu. Staff surly and obviously don't care. Put drinks in front of wrong people despite us saying clearly whose was whose.

Went here today 11.30am Monday for lunch. 4 adults and two small children, waited for menus didn’t ask if we wanted drinks then came back and we said we would order drinks, drinks eventually came but they forgot the two kids drinks, we then said we would order our meals. While sitting there noticed how dirty the table was and looked at others which were similar, food on the floor, the waitress wasn’t impressed when we asked for the table to be cleaned. Food came, we had no cutlery, couldn’t find a waitress so got up and got it myself, asked for sour cream, don’t have it. Food wasn’t great, never had any waitress come back and do a check back, waitress then came over to clear the table and took the babies plate even though she was still eating. Sat and waited 10 minutes and no sign of waitress to get the bill. My wife went up to pay waited a while then the waitress brought over the card machine, my wife said I’m paying cash, she was given the cash but had to get someone else to come over because she obviously couldn’t work out the change. Poor service, poor food, and no chance of leaving a tip. Wouldn’t recommend.

Only left 1 star because I couldn't leave less. Poor service BAD food. You need to change your fat......

Went here after visiting Junction 32. Majority of staff are awful and completely disinterested in waitressing. Food arrived cold, changed for hot shortly afterwards. Gutted we wasted £20 on a meal that was awful. I had BBQ panini - I could have made it better myself. Just awful.

Upon arrival not a single member of staff welcomed us. We sat down of our own accord regardless of the sign saying please wait to be seated because otherwise we have spent all afternoon waiting.

Lovely burgers and great selection on menu but staff a bit slap dash had to ask for menus, cutlery etc. Really enjoyed the food though so can recommend

Second visit to this poor diner. First review we were very disappointed but as it was some time ago we thought we'd give it a second chance. 5 of us and the place was busy (Father's Day) so told we would have to wait 5 or 10 minutes for a table. We said we would wait and 'hovered' around the bar area and then we were ignored by everyone for over 20 minutes! We asked how much longer to be told yet again another 10 minutes!!! Needless to say we walked out...!

Families or couples alike if you want to taste the 50’s diner experience then get yourself down to Mattia Diner. Genuine American/ Mexican food along with regular English food if you really want it.

Went here this week. We were taken to our table by the most miserable person i have ever met.

Absolutely amazing food, tried for the first time and I’m in love! Currently in my pjs in a meat coma! Very friendly and assertive staff! Will be returning �

Before we ordered, the wrong tables meals were brought to our table twice.

This was the worst place for several reasons. They claim to be an American Diner and serve Australian root beer? I asked for ice and got 3 cubes? One of the cooks was eating whilst preparing food. My husband and child both ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, my husband was told they didn't have ham but my daughter did get a ham and cheese? Finally DON'T pay with a card their receipts show your entire card number and expiration date. I've blacked it out.

Went as a support worker with my colleagues and people we support for a birthday meal.The staff were friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble .The food was very good , good portions if you have a big appetite.Will visit again

We been my grandson grandma and grandad decided we need a break from shopping and some food so we decided here was were we were going to eat

Had a business meeting here and choose the chicken panni with chips. It arrived way too quickly to be cooked fresh. The chips were frozen chips, the chicken wasnt alot. Side salad was in a small dish which was a slice of onions, tomatoes and lettice. Wouldn't recommend as a wow place to eat.

Had the Elvis. Needed more mushroom and crisper bacon, but not a deal breaker. We will return. Not too pricey either.
