We were in the area and my husband wanted a curry. The food was delicious and the service impeccable, ambience was lovely too.

it was cold, and a measly portion, this isn’t half eaten this is how it came. This is a prawn curry, not sure I’ve seen a prawn look like this before. Tasted like rubber. All congealed together. Gross.

Masala Lounge operate a small kitchen from inside The Golden Lion pub, in Bedhampton ~ it appears to be a fairly efficient team, who offer a Bangladeshi style of cooking, which is reliable and consistent.. The menu is fairly comprehensive and the quality is in-line with what you might expect from a small operation. They can deliver, or you can collect from their little area at the rear side of the pub. I’ve ordered food from these guys on a few occasions and it’s fairly decent, they give a discount for cash which is appreciated, and during the week, there is no waiting time. Weekends is usually very busy ~ so expect a wait. They do a great Chicken Passanda, and the onion bhaji’s are ok too. It’s useful to have a decent curry outlet on the local doorstep, and you will always get a pretty good meal from here.

Can’t answer the food and service stars as I didn’t receive my delivery, near on two hour wait so called in and cancelled. They said it was down to thinking it was a different house number, 74 instead of 34🤷🏻‍♂️😤

I have been getting take away for over a year I complained about my delivery it was missing a cheese Nan. The manager says that he will not deliver because I have made complaints he said that I made a lot of complaints I have made 2 complaints. Not happy at all we buy delivery every week that is £35.00 to £40.00 pounds I think the manager needs to think what he says speak to his staff I am not happy with the way I was treated at all. Sat outside in a group having another cuzza at "The George". The menu choice is not 100% like your usual cuzza house but what you get is really good. So.. What's more to like.

Ordered Meal at 5.30 for delivery 7 30 it came at 6.10 twice this has happened, sent it bk and waited for our 7.30 Meal, sure it was reheated. Definitely won't order again, oh got a complimentary pompodon THANKS

1st time visiting. Food was lovely, hot and tasty at a reasonable price. Seating area was small and had to go into the pub to get drinks. Staff were friendly.

We had used the Masala Lounge a few years ago and although it was ok, we stuck to our usual. On recent recommendation, we tried it again today (delivery) and really pleased that we did. Fast and friendly service along with really tasty food. We will definitely return!

Have ordered previously from here on uber. Food is really good but large layer of oil on the top. Ordered tonight but waited 1 hour 20 mins. Raised a question on uber eats to find out what was happening. Nothing. I then get a call from the restaurant which was so rude and aggressive. I was told the driver had tried to deliver 3 times which is just completely false. I have a note on my account which says I have a baby and a barking dog so asks for the driver to call or text me and leave it outside. Even when someone does that my dog will hear them. We were listening out and checked outside 3 times to see nothing. Our house is up on a bank and it is difficult to see house numbers which makes me think the driver didn’t look or want to get out their car. I said this to the person on the phone and they were really argumentative and shouting. They also said they were not going to accept any future orders from me and I was blacklisted. I have never been treated so poorly - all they had to do was call me if they had a problem. I think it was an excuse and that they were lied to by their driver. I was left extremely upset and shaken by the restaurant’s treatment of me. I won’t be ordering from here again; which is a shame as I was telling others how good the food was (despite the thick layer of oil on every curry dish) A restaurant’s service is just as important as the food and this restaurant’s service sucked.

Wow!! Very impressed indeed. I am what you could say an Indian cuisine connoisseur. The food was outstanding would say possibly the best ndian food in hampshire along with others on my list. Indian takeaways within the havant area are poor this is the best you will find all round the area. Chicken shaklik is outstanding along with the chicken koriah. If you want a tasty Ruby murry then this is the place to order from. Delivery was on time, food was perfectly hot considering it was a 5 minute car drive and a very cold February. Thank you massala lounge you have new customers. Really, excellent food that doesn't cost a fortune, very very reasonable pricing.

My wife and I go here twice a month and always find the staff friendly and helpful and have always enjoyed the food. It is good quality, big portions and very reasonably priced. The menu has good variety with delicious fish curries as well as a few twists on the norm. Definitely worth a visit

Food was OK but we ordered two curries but they both tasted the same and didn't have the spice and flavour which I have had elsewhere. I ordered a cobra but was told they didn't do any Indian beers which is crazy. Short staffed and unimpressed food is my views but try it for yourself you may think different..

Wow actual real chicken used not the cheap stuff! We return all the time I can’t get enough of their curries. Cannot understand why people only use tripadvisor for one comment on this restaurant or only ever complain. NOTHING to complain about here.

Food was average (just), service was ok. I dont like having food or condiments placed on the table that no one ordered, two trays of pickles and chutneys were placed on our table, both were removed before we finished our starters. Three of the curries all tasted exactly the same, they tasted ok but they were supposed to be different dishes! Naans were cold. Getting a beer was timely unless you went to the adjoining pub and paid for them separately. I wouldn't go again,two really great India restaurants in Havant town within a 15 minute walk.

After my family constantly telling me how great their food at Masala Lounge was, I thought I’d have to give it a try. We all met up for a family meal and what can I say?....... it was absolutely amazing. The food was freshly cooked and full of flavour. Although I’m still yet to taste other meals there, I definitely recommend the ‘Au Gratin’.

We've lived in the area just over a year and can't believe this is the first visit to massala lounge! We went for a walk and stopped in the adjacent pub for a quick drink. We ended up staying for most of the evening and with the smell of the Indian next door we couldn't resist! We were shown to a table, took our drinks order and asked if we wanted poppadoms. Hot plates were brought out then followed by my chicken biriyan and my partners chicken madras. The peshwari nan was so good and very fresh! Followed my hot cloths to clean fingers and a quatre of a juicy orange which was a nice tough. Prices are very reasonable as were the drinks which are brought from the bar and billed separately. All in all a lovely meal and thoroughly recommend!

made my whole experience horrid due to the staff. Couldn't believe it when we asked about what certain dishes contained, and the answer was 'it says it on the menu'

This is hands down the best curry house I’ve been to. I go with friends and family frequently who all agree. I often ask for the waiters recommendation and enjoy their selection.

After hearing about the restaurant we decided to give it a go went on Saturday and it looked half full but it’s such a small restaurant inside a pub it feels a bit claustrophobic and the people standing at the entrance to the front aren’t very friendly looking all very drunk and shouting and cussing 🤬 and the pub didn’t smell very nice but the restaurant is not much better the carpet is very dirty and your feet stick to the floor the table cloths are very clean and looked nice but the cutlery was dirty and I had to ask for new cutlery.We ordered drinks the waiter didn’t understand English very well which made it hard to ask for the drinks so that took a while and after a long time of trying to explain to the waiter what drinks we wanted it took 25/30 minutes before we got them every time I asked was told the bars very busy but from where I was sitting the person behind the bar was to busy playing around with punters,so the waiter comes to take our order and couldn’t explain the dishes and kept looking at my wife in a inappropriate way she didn’t feel comfortable at all and seemed to get a bit irritated that I was asking about the types of dishes so after a awkward few minutes it took for him to take our order we waited for around 35 minutes to which I asked the waiter where our food is and to my shock was told it’s coming just wait ohh my.So the food turns up rice missing nan bread burnt and the chicken was under cooked so this time told the waiter to get the manger he came over and sorted it out he was very friendly the only thing good about this 💩💩 hole is the manger Calum I think he’s name was but the food was terrible I should off gone to Asda and bought the Indian from there it would’ve tasted better I would never go again and if friends and family ask I say no no just no. 🤮🤬🤢

Me and my family like to eat out on the weekends so as my kids usually do they go on trip advisor to get the low down on local restaurant at 1st glances it looks really good but OHH MY GOD we got there and what a horrible experience from the entrance to the restaurant to having to get our own drinks and the lady behind the bar was so busy talking to the what I assume are the locals I waited 15mins before she came over and I said I’ve been waiting she said I’m the bar manager and if I’m busy I’m busy wow ok then we wait to have our order taken the waiter kept looking at my 14 year old daughter in a very inappropriate way and looked like he was on drugs but our order was taken and it got worse the food was disgusting it was cold and the chicken was part cooked and the nan was like a brick my wife ordered something called the jinga jafrani it was king prawn dish and it was terrible only one king prawn and it wasn’t all that good and when I asked the waitress why there’s only one king prawn she didn’t have a clue she spent 10mins trying whet the manger and he was no help he looked like he was going to fall apart because they had around 7 tables I’d rather eat out a bin then go here again 🤮🤢

We Had 4 great meals here last night with naan and rice and poppadoms to start. Had to wait a while as was busy but not too bad with a g&t. Definitely be back

Was invited out to dinner with friends who wanted to go somewhere different for a curry. The Massala Lounge is next to or forms part of the Golden Lion Pub opposite the Volvo garage. We had a lovely meal; the pub supply the drinks, so you get 2 bills at the end of the night! The food choice was really different with the old favourites on the menu too. Staff were friendly. Not open Mondays. I would recommend it.

Ordered a takeaway for the first time from Massala lounge & it was delicious. Excellent food, fast delivery & good price.My chicken tikka massala was cooked to perfection & coconut rice delicious, cannot fault it.

We visited this place after walking past it on our way to our hotel. The smell from the kitchen were wonderful and the quality of the food matches the aroma. Well worth a visit.

Delicious and broad variety of main courses, some I’d never heard of but were really tasty. For example, I had Rugby Players Korma which was spicy and is highly recommended not just for rugby players! The rest of the family enjoyed their meals and we were served by really friendly waiters. My only reservation but one which is significant was that the elderly bar staff were rather intimidating and a bit creepy (sexual innuendo ) so I got the rest of the drinks via the waiters.

Group of 6 visited on a Friday night after work. Lovely food, with a varied choice of dishes. friendly staff smiling and helpful. They need to do online ordering and delivery! Highly recommend :-D

My husband and I visited the Massala Lounge on a Sunday evening, we were staying at a hotel nearby. I had found it on trip advisor and thought we would give it a go... what a great choice we made!

First time I have tried as a dine in. Previously ordered delivery which was incorrect, but I enjoyed the mistakes.

No words will even explain my experience tonight.

We visited on a Saturday evening having booked first. Pleasant room adjoining the Golden Lion, quiet and calm atmosphere. Drinks from the bar. The food was amazingly good, everything we tried was delicious. By far the best Indian Restaurant we have found since moving back to this area recently.

As this intimate Indian restaurant, attached to a Pub, is right on our doorstep, we had intended to visit sooner. Wish we had, a great find!

My partner and I dropped in here, off the cuff on a Thursday night. It is situated inside a side room of the pub with about 10 tables making it quite intimate and nice. They do price friendly platter menu @ around £10 although we ordered off the main menu specials (honey glazed lamb) with the food being made to be madras hot which I like. Overall the food was gorgeous, tasty and the lamb melted in the mouth. We will certainly be going back and on a side note we stopped for a drink in the bar where we were also made to feel welcome. Certainly a place to put on your to do list if you want a quiet, comfy, relaxed & delicious meal with your loved one(s)

Dined on a weeknight as it gets busy at weekends and it is rather small. Nevertheless we had really good service; we both chose dishes that were new to us and enjoyed the food. My one criticism was that the food arrived already on the plate and not in metal tureens like normal. This meant you had to eat it quickly instead of dawdling like you do. Definitely would go back though.

Had a takeaway not long after this restaurant opened and was pleasantly surprised and was over the moon that we had finally had a decent Indian on our doorstep. But when we had a repeat order a few months later two out of four curries were very watery and bland !! So it's back to driving 6 or 7 miles for a curry, but to be fair I've yet to have eaten in the restaurant.

Eaten here before and had a couple of takeaways but brought my girlfriends this time as I have been telling them how good the food is and they weren't disappointed!

Visited on a Tuesday ,early evening,a nice welcome from the landlord.The venue although not lavish but with a comfortable feel about it. Not sure what to order as the menu is so varied in comparison with your standard high street Indian,took advice from the front of house attendant who suggested and explained in detail items that may suit my taste,very helpful indeed,went for the Lamb Chat as a starter,a good choice,very tasty and not too filling.Main course a chicken Moda Murgh with Lemon rice,a real delight for my taste buds and an ample portion.This is one of the tastiest Indian meals I have ever eaten,my gratitude shown by an ample tip.Service here is slower than usual , the time taken in preparation/cooking well worth the wait,well done to the Chef.Will definitely make a return visit,miles ahead of the competition.

Went to massala lounge after reading such good reviews. Friendly and efficient service. You can tell customer service is paramount here. The landlord came in to say hi and also said goodbye. I love all that sort of thing! Food nice and not greasy. Price reasonable. Will definitely return.

We had a take away from the Masala Lounge shortly after it opened and the food was so good we promised to have meal there but have only just got round to visiting - but we glad we did!

was told by a friend a while ago to try this indian restaurant .I have since only got my takeaways from here as I have never been disappointed by the meal or the friendly staff.I am slowly working my way through the menu and the staff will point you in the right direction but there is something for everyone on this varied but excellent menu, from ostrich ,salmon and lamb. If you have a regular indian I urge you to try this restaurant/takeaway once to compare you wont be dissapointed

You can't go wrong here Indian cuisine at its best! The service is very friendly but not intrusive and the team are keen to get it right, and they do!

We go here a lot because the food is not only very tasty but there is a huge range of items on the menu that we like. At other venues we find ourselves defaulting to the same one or two dishes. Not the case here. Friendly helpful service from people who know their food and genuinely care about it.

I was recommended the Massala Lounge Indian Restaurant by a friend recently and we were not disappointed at all. This place is a little gem, a small restaurant in the Golden Lion Pub in Bedhampton.

My wife and I went here last night 15/7/16 the food is quite simply the best, the staff are very friendly. My wife had the honey roasted spicy lamb and I had the dupiaza, both dishes tasted fresh and full of flavour. It's best to book if you go on a Friday or Saturday night as it only a small restaurant and gets quite busy.

After receiving a leaflet/menu through the post we were very tempted by the variation and authenticity of the menu. We have struggled to find a decent Indian restaurant/takeaway for a long time now. With restaurants often lacking quality and consistency in there food.

The four of us stopped here by random happenstance. The food was quite simply fantastic. If we lived in the area (instead of 400 or so miles away) this would be a regular haunt.

Bedhampton is not renowned for its restaurants so when something new arrives, it's very welcome.
