Unfortunately the meal arrived cold!!!

We always come to Jeera for our Indian takeaway treat and are very happy with our scrumptious food :) All staff are really friendly and kind too - thank you :)

Food wasn't great this time unfortunately. Partner said his lacked flavour and mine wasn't great either, also the naan breads were half doughy half burnt. Disappointed

Met a human being this Ramadan, on 25/03/2023 to be exact. After a long shopping we were late to come home and it's was nearly mahrib. So we planned to order in to break our fast . We went to a shop in hayling Island jeera tandoori and ordered some food. It was our first time at this shop. It was almost mahrib. A person came from the kitchen and ask my wife if we were muslims and whether we were fasting. She told him that yes were and were fasting. After which he went back into the kitchen and brought 2 portions of food for us to break our fast. It was the food which he had already prepared for break the fasting .He shared his food with us also. The food was so delicious food that I have ever had in the U.K because he served us not just the food but it was served with love. When we reached home and opened the parcel it was more than what we had ordered. Thanks to Allah to have met such a wonderful man this evening… Jazak allah Khair.

Amazing quality and tasting food, large portions! This is a really good take away, and now our 'go to' for Indian food.

Without doubt, the best Indian takeaway on the island. It's that good, my partner and I travel from Reading to get our food.

I normally buy from jeera when I am on the island but I have noticed there food slowly getting worse Last time I got there mixed grill wasn't that good so I thought I will try one more time just incase they had a different cook or were busy I know is not an excuse but I will always give people 2nd chance before I leave a review but after tonight putting both mixed grill and the tandoori chicken in the bin as it was hard and rice was cold within 5 minutes and having to order another takeaway elsewhere as I couldn't be bothered to take it back to them So is time to find a new take away on the island

If you like chicken korma or creamy sweet curries then I urge you to order from Jeera Tandoori. They do the most delicious Korma and other sweet curries I've ever had. Yummy rice and naan bread too. Chicken is always tender and juicy and full of flavour.

We were late to collect due to unforeseen circumstances but they held on and waited for us. Food was top quality as always. Can't recommend them enough.

Best Curry takeaway on Hayling Island.

We smelt the Awsome kitchen while out walking the dog, and could not resist absolutely fantastic food freshly prepared while I waited the 2 chefs where friendly and great choice of dishes available. Would 100% recommend to anyone

The sauces are good the rice is good but the chicken is salty if tikka and strange and processed if just plain chicken. Change the chicken !!

Waited two hours on Saturday for delivery which when it arrived was cold the bag inside and split £40 it cost me and it was all cold it went straight in the bin they told me I was very busy so don’t buy any of their food when they say they’re busy

Best Indian I've had also enough for two meals ate half last night and half for lunch today plenty of meat in fact never had so much the naga chicken was hot as it should be definitely will be going back

The Jeera is a fantastic takeaway authentic flavours good ingredients and ample size portions, fast and fresh love the free bhajis always collect myself just to say hi to the team who are always smiling and chatty.

We have used many Indian Takeaways on Hayling and decided to give Jeera Tandoori a try on recommendation from a friend. I can honestly say we were NOT disappointed. It is without a doubt the best Indian Takeaway we have had in a long time. The portions are generous and very tasty. The staff were polite and the meal was ready on time. We will certainly be back.

The varied dishes are wonderful,the price is good and plenty of extras if you pick it up .Back in the winter they carried on serving even in a power cut, funnily enough this was their best curry ever

Looking for an Indian take-away we could not find the one recommended to us. We decided to try the Jeera in preference to the smarter looking restaurant next door. It was a good choice, the dishes were freshly cooked in front of us so we new it was freshly cooked. The meals we ordered were excellent and they included popadoms and onion Bahji for free. This was one of the best tasting meals I have had in a long time. The Bhajies were the best yet. Great meal and reasonable!

I have ordered from here twice, a year apart, both times dishes missing from the delivery but still charged for, we were staying at a local campsite and the delivery driver could not find our location, even though the location is minutes away from the restaurant. Food definitely not good enough, the main dishes were bland, the cheese naan was about 1% cheese and burnt to a crisp, the saag paneer was 100% spinach I have never done a review of any restaurant before, but I felt I needed to share this. (ps, the delivery driver did not even know what colour his car was when I was trying to look out for him)

Just had another faultless meal from the Jeera. Staff were really helpful when my boyfriend wanted to try something different and we werent disapointed.

If your looking for vegetarien sides and mains this is not the place for you. The food has no spice or heat and tastes bland. Don't order the sag penner it's cheese has no taste and is mostly sag. A very bland meal,but free onion bhaji had some taste.

Been to all the Indian takeaways and restaurants on the island jeera tandoori is most definitely the best. Staff are really polite and professional and portion sizes are on the larger size. great prices compared to others in the area Would definitely recommend 5/5

Never had a bad takeway from Jeera. Lovily and i would highly recommend. Best to collect rather then ask for it to be delivered as its quicker and they give you free onion bhaji's and poppadoms.

My favorite place for a curry, all fresh with great portions. Regular visit to this place don't pass it by, watch the chef create the dishes infront of youe eyes.

Haven't had a curry for ages. Was recommended this place, so we gave it a shot. Had lamb balti, chicken dhansak and the usual. Food was first class, not greasy or heavy. Portions are generous, theres enough left over for tonight. Came with popadums and salad bits for free. They cook it in front of you and the place is spotless. Recommended.

A very busy take away but well worth the half an hour wait. The good was tasty and piping hot, complete with complimentary onion bhaji,s and popadums. Good value.

Very rude service very unprofessional on the telephone. Wanted my card details without giving me a price and got quite rude when I simply asked for a breakdown price for what I was ordering.

I have been using this Indian takeaway for a few years now and my wife and I have always been very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. I definitely recommend this place to all. Lovely people and you can watch them cook your meal.

Just moved back into the area and ordered and collected dinner for four. Glad to see they have kept their high standard of quality and generosity of portions. We're already looking forward to the next time.

They messed up our food order. On our next visit a few days later. we politely told them that one of the dishes was incorrect. Instead of just offering to refund the meal they argued and made us feel like common criminals. Bearing in mind we are regular customers there and generally ordered the same dishes every time. We offered to return the incorrect dish as it was still in the fridge, when they were confronted with this option they eventually offered a replacement. We understand this sort of thing happens from time-to-time, but quite frankly we are not used being spoken to like this, especially after giving them our loyal regular custom. The older man with the beard is offensive, rude and a liar. Be warned - also if you ask for say extra coriander or green chilli in your meal they will add extra costs to your bill without telling you – so bring a calculator and check their prices before you pay. We’ll not be using their take-away anymore for these reasons.

This takeaway is always reliable. Generous portion sizes. Nothing fancy but consistent quality. The jeera chicken and egg rice are recommended.

If we fancy an Indian Takeaway this is where we go on Hayling Island. Good fast service, tasty, large portions and we can get two meals from one portion (you may not!). Check out their offers and if you spend more than £12 (from memory) you get a free portion of Onion Bhajis.

Sadly this was my favourite curry houses on Hayling. After tonight not so. The staff were rude, very curt, and unfriendly. As for the food it was nothing more than average. No wonder the Elm masala was considerably busier.

Food is not nice! Would not have food from here again. No flavour just tastes of onions. It used to be better and free gifts of flat onion bargees are dreadful. There is far better available on the island.

Excellent curries and tandoori specials.Open Kitchen so you can see your food being prepared.Owned and operated by Son, Father and a partner. Nothing is too much hassle.Not the cheapest on the island but also not the most expensive.Worth a visit

We eat at the Jeera at least twice a month and it is always amazing. The food is cooked perfectly and the garlic chilli chicken is a favourite of everyone's.

I must say please dont order chicken tandoori and chicken tikka as both tasted and looked the same and chicken tandoori came as one big piece which was hard and anf not at all pleasing.We also ordered butter chicken wjose curry tasted of kofta curry and chicken pieces were again same as chicken tandoori. Naan were also hard.The spices were medium and did not upset my stomach.

Freshly made food, cooked right in front of you, good quality which is consistently hot and fresh - I think this is the best outlet on the island for this type of food. Chicken rezala and madras dishes particularly recommended.

I am from Cardiff and no matter where you come from you say your local curry house is the best! Well not true and you only know when you have been to the Jeera. Great food, great service. Well lush! Tell them the Thomas family sent you!

When they sy your food will be ready by a certain time, it always is. The menu is better and wider ranging than other take aways. The food is very nice and well worth the money

No idea why that the Jeera Tandoori is not on here because in my opinion it is the best takeaway on Hayling Island. I do not go anywhere else for my takeaways because I know they cannot match the taste and quality. The staff are always friendly and I enjoy watching them cook the food right in front of my eyes. The price is very competitive, the portion sizes are big enough to share between two, if you are a sharing person. If you haven't tried them out, give them a go and if you spend over a certain amout and collect, they'll even throw in a few extras. Going there this Friday too.
