Masala MADNESS in Southampton

We live in Fareham and have been meaning to try Masal Madness for some time. I know Sattar and Manik and used to go to their Steak and Spice Restauants and The Prince in London Road. Manik is simply the best chef and I have so much missed his excellent food. We ordered and drive back as quickly as possible back to Fareham - speed limit allowing and then enjoyed the best curry the family have had for ages. Everything was absolutely spot, hot, tasty, spicy and just right! Well done team we will so much be back over to Southampton to pick up a curry, well worth the trip and simply outstanding compared to our local curry takeaways in Fareham. Thank you so much!

Pedimos un servicio de comida para llevar y entrega a domicilio de este restaurante por primera vez el sábado 15 de agosto y quedé impresionado con la rapidez de la entrega. He usado solo comer antes y lo encontré impredecible, pero la entrega fue muy buena. En cuanto a la comida, mi familia y yo no tenemos ninguna queja sobre el sabor de la comida, estaba todo muy bien cocinado, he probado mejor por eso solo le di 4 puntos pero habiendo dicho que volvería a ir. Fue la carne samosa y la barcaza de cebolla que eran un poco sencillas, pero las comidas eran muy buenas.

Great food, great price, very accommodating to vegans. I get a takeaway from here nearly every week. Always gives us some extra onion bhajis. Fantastic for students.

As usual, spot on! Devil's own Chicken was so flavourful. Will recommend it to people who can take hot food. This has got taste! They even gave us 3 free Onion Pakorahs! Thank you, Chef, Manager and Owner! :)

This was our first time with them and they scored a perfect 10! We are stuffed! We ordered Devil's Own Chicken (not for the faint-hearts) and we could take the heat! It was jaw burning delicious! We are bongs from India so we could take it easily. Normally, when restaurants prepare curry this hot (like Chicken Phall) then the taste is compromised. You feel you're chewing on the world's hottest chillies. But THEIR Devil's Own hot curry is not JUST hot it's absolutely finger-licking tasty! Good job, Chef! They actually gave us a free box of Pulao Rice with our order. Thank you for this, Manager :) I didn't have to make extra rice for us. Really really appreciate this! They did go the extra mile. So, will we order from them again? Heck YES!

First time trying it we ordered to a friends house and it turned up a bit earlier than they said which was good! I had a chicken tikka wrap which had a really nice sauce in it. My not so adventurous friend had a korma but they said it was nice. The delivery driver was friendly aswell which is always a plus, will definitely order again!

Tryed this place for the first time and will be the last. Both our currys tasted just bland, both were caked in oil and very watery, one of the worse curries I have tasted. The onion barji were OK. The quality of chicken was poor very tough chicken. The quality and quantity was rubbish. Bangladesh style wasnt what we got. Award winning chef now that's a lie. Save your money.

We ordered online, 2 starters, 2 mains and a rice. The order came to over £30 but we didn't even get a small bag of lettuce or any raita to go with our starters, not even a couple of poppodoms included. Starter chicken pakora was very dry. Chicken tikka looked like the whole bottle of food colouring had been dropped on it. King prawn passanda wasn't great, prawns were OK but the sauce was too watery. Naga chicken wasn't, flavour was OK but it wasn't hot, no signs any chilli in it at all, at least the chicken in it wasn't dry. Onion rice didn't even have much onion in it. Unfortunately the bag our food arrived in looked like it had been thrown around, sauce from the Naga chicken was in the bag, now I have to try to get the colouring which leaked out of the bag off my kitchen worktop. It arrived very hot and quite quickly, I highly doubt this is anything other than unfrozen reheated food. Very disappointing.
