I have a severe nut allergy and so have always avoided Indian food, however we decided to take a chance on kali Mirchi - I was very well looked after and reassured by Dev. They were able to cater to my needs and the food was excellent. We will definitely be going back. Thank you!

Despite it being a busy Saturday we were able to sneak a table. Dev and the staff are always fantastic at looking after us and are very attentive We ordered the dum (sealed) gosht biryani, recommended the lamb karahi and also had the chilli fish starter. As we like our food hot and spicy - these was catered for us by Dev. Who always remembers us This is South Indian food - different from other Indian food and I would say this is the best of its kind As an Bangladeshi man, this is sill my go to curry house

Had my usual take away, always order from Kali Mirchi. But, I was disappinted this time, the naan bread tasted re-heated and my king prawns were mushy ☹

We had dinner in kalli mirch 28/feb/2025 It was amazing and delicious.Moreover all staff is very nice and friendly and most of the one staff his name deep he is very kind hearted and give us special attention and respect,we loved everything there. Today also my husband brought veg manchoorian and it’s also superb. Mr.deep also met today with him and easily recognised my husband and talked very nicely. Comida encantadora, caliente, sabrosa y tuvimos una gran comida para el cumpleaños de mis hijos. Un montón de ella también, así que nos llevamos, curry, arroz y cebolla bhajis a casa y disfrutamos de la comida por segunda vez. Mi hijo viene aquí a menudo y sin duda volveré.

Massively late, food was good but more luke warm than the piping hot we've come to expect. Naan was cold and soggy which was disappointing.

Aside from beautiful food and lovely atmosphere, their Service here is exceptional. We are very well served by Dev who went above and beyond. I think I can have my next bday dinner here :) Highly recommended..

Not good. Ordered a tandoori selection, pilau rice and naan with extra madras sauce. The tandoori selection was a mixed bag of new and day old meat, a single prawn that was dry and chewy. The sauce (masala) was bland, too much yogurt. The madras sauce was missing. Pilau rice was dry and tasteless. I ordered this meal as a treat for some foreign friends to show what a British curry was like… my mistake.

Still waiting for food, over an hour late. I am sure it will be nice when it arrives but Kali Mirchi should think about whether they want to operate such poor delivery service as this has happened on multiple occasions. In future I will either collect or if I am unable to, sadly order elsewhere.

Ordenó una comida para llevar a las 6. 55 pm que podrían ser hasta una hora. Esperó más de una hora y decidió llamarlos a las 8. 10 . Nos dijeron que iban a empezar a cocinarlo... finalmente llegó a las 8. 30 pm. La comida era definitivamente deficiente... mis maridos curry era soso... mi salsa era muy acuosa y las patatas solo tibias. Lástima que este solía ser un excelente restaurante. Definitivamente no voy a pedir una comida para llevar de aquí de nuevo tristemente.

When I called them at 21:05 is was 20 minutes late and I was informed they were just cooking it. Original time was by 20:45. It finally arrived at 21:50. There was no mention of traffic, and it’s unlikely there was any at that time of night.

Yesterday we ordered a chicken tikka masala, a plain rice and a peshwari naan. The naan was lovely. Unfortunately the rice had the curry dished up onto it before we realised the curry was not what we’d ordered (despite it saying CTM on the lid) - it was so ridiculously spicy and had potatoes in it. We couldn’t eat it and had to pick out the bit of rice not contaminated by the curry. Have not yet had any response from Just Eat or Kali Mirchi. We have photos but haven’t yet been asked for them.

'Courier on the way' for over half an hour - no sign of delivery! Now 15 minutes after delivery estimate...!

Excellent food, and accommodating staff. Dealt with our special requests without question. Plenty of tablespace but seems to be doing a roaring takeaway trade during the weekdays.

I’m a regular customer so I don’t appreciate getting moaned at for not ordering an hour before close. Readjust your closing times for just eat if you don’t want any orders or just cancel our order. Second time I’ve been moaned at for ridiculous reasons. We even meet the drivers outside the flat so they don’t need to walk upstairs each time so I’d expect some type of respect by this point.

Desperdicio de 45€ y es la segunda vez que pedimos y ambas veces tuvimos que esperar 2 horas. Dije después de la primera vez que nunca más me molestaría, pero después de 3 años pensé que las cosas podrían haber mejorado. No pierdas el tiempo, hay lugares mucho mejores en Southampton.
