Sadly, it’s temporarily closed due to a business issue - with a note on the front door. I was pleasantly impressed by the quality of this take away by Dhamaka. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and pilau rice. A very tasty and generous meal it was too. I’m happy to recommend this place for dining in or ordering a take away. It’s easy to find among the row of Bitterne Triangle shops. It has seats for about 40 people in all. Clean, tidy and comfortable seats with basic but tasteful decor. Staff are welcoming and service is provided on time.

Superb curry house. All the usual dish’s and a wealth of others to try. If you are local, no point travelling to a different one, unless, maybe, Brick Lane London!

Absolutely outstanding food and generous portions. The lamb biryani, chicken hyberbadi and nariyal chicken were amaxing, and the naans delicious. The service was nice too. Really recommending the place!

Great food, excellent flavours, good portion sizes and good value. One of the best Indians around. Micro brewery next door if you want to sample a few ales first. You can normally park outside or not too far away. Was very quiet so not much atmosphere, and was a bit cold (Feb visit).

In the name of curry you will get oil , and no matter how many and what curry’s you order they all look exactly the same. Never going to order again.

Best Indian restaurant I've come across in Southampton! Service was quick and the staff were friendly. There's a wide range of dishes available, and all the ones we've tried have been amazing.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants in Southampton. The spicy warm prawn cocktail was delicious. And love the Malabar beer on draught. The naan was done really well. Hoping to make a return at some point in the near future.

Online delivery. Arrived on time. The food was somewhat disappointing - it tasted more homemade than professional - there appeared to be a lack of skill and knowledge in the preparation. The sauces were thin and crudely spiced, while the vegetables were watery, and tasted as though they had been cooked separately then mixed with the sauce. There was a lack of richness in the sauce (no evidence of butter/ghee for example). It was edible, but there was no enjoyment in the eating, and we stopped after a while, as eating it was more functional than pleasurable. The papadams, however, were delightful.

Visited for an afternoon tea, I think it was the first time they had tried this out. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. A wide selection of savoury and sweet. Tea was superb as was the service. Friendly family team, throughly recommend a visit!

Yet again a great meal where the dishes taste different with individual spice influences, not a generic "curry" sauce with something added which you get in many places. Had a few meals here now and they're been good every time.

We had our first takeaway this evening and without a doubt it was the best we’ve had. I had a chicken tikka dhansak and it was spot on with great sweet and sour flavours and the chicken was tender and beautifully tikka flavour. OH had chicken jalahamdri and he loved it too - nice heat and again great flavours and good chicken. Loads of rice in a portion, we had keema and mushroom. Poppadoms we’re fresh and crispy. Definitely recommend and although I picked up its great to have at last a delivery option too. New business on Bitterne Triangle and wish them all the best and will definitely be back

The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is simply the poppadoms. Unfortunately not fresh and had a terrible smell about them. Service, menu choice and taste 5 stars. MIGHT return.

Tried Dhamaka for takeaway and I am quite disappointed as the “Kadhai Paaner Masala” and “Tikka Masala” (all vegetarian) tasted like they had only sugar or something sweet inside - they were TOO sweet. Such a surprising experience, I had to rubbish them. We couldn’t eat it. These two dishes tasted the same just paaner cheese was added to the “Kadhai Paaner Masala”. Although I recommend “Tadka Dal”.

We visited last night (Friday 21st oct) 4 of us, the service was really good, and the food was spectacular, I couldn’t believe the quality, the flavours, amazing. I hope they can keep this level up, as to have a Restaurant this close to me and not in the city centre, of this quality is absolutely brilliant.

Got take away for three. Service was fine, offered to deliver to us in the pub next door - wasn't needed. Two of the meals were okay but the third was not - it tasted as if the spices were raw and bitter, although the meat in all three was perfect. The naan was disappointing, more like a paratha than a naan. Lastly, the poppadoms were cooked in old oil and tasted of it, we didn't eat them. Hoped for so much more but ended up disappointed.

They have signed up for offers and they even agree with it when you call and ask. But they seem to forget about it when they give you the bill which is very bizarre

Have eaten in and taken away several times now and they are consistently great. Easily one of the best in Southampton. Their specialities offer some really unique flavours you won't normally find elsewhere. Mughle Azaam is a particular favourite.

We live in Fareham and have been meaning to try Masal Madness for some time. I know Sattar and Manik and used to go to their Steak and Spice Restauants and The Prince in London Road. Manik is simply the best chef and I have so much missed his excellent food. We ordered and drive back as quickly as possible back to Fareham - speed limit allowing and then enjoyed the best curry the family have had for ages. Everything was absolutely spot, hot, tasty, spicy and just right! Well done team we will so much be back over to Southampton to pick up a curry, well worth the trip and simply outstanding compared to our local curry takeaways in Fareham. Thank you so much!

Today we have been to Tandoori and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing, with the lamb dishes being the highlight for us—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm, making it a great spot for a relaxed and satisfying meal. Highly recommend this gem in Woolston for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!

Very impressed with the flavor of the dishes! The waiter was helpful and recommended an amazing paneer dish and even added more spice to it for me. The service was attentive and the food came out very fast. I would definitely dine here again.
