Masala Lounge in Eastleigh

Best indian food I've tasted in a long time! Unfortunately, they missed one of the Jalfrezis off of my order, and I hadn't realised until I was home (order was not read out when I received it). Other than the missing Jalfrezi, I thoroughly enjoyed the food - Loads of flavour, not too spicy, and minimal oil!

Food was tasty but for how little you get the the price is disgraceful. Says on the menu papadums (plural) and you only get one and it cost £1.05. Got crispy duck pancakes and there was maybe 2 tbs of duck if I’m lucky. Was so not worth the £45

We had ordered for 21.00hrs and received our food at 11.40hrs. We did phone the restaurant and they told us that they are waiting for the delivery to collect it. This delivery is not expectable. When the food arrived it was cold.

Food was cold and tasted poor. Easier to follow to restaurant. Struggling to see value of this service

The mix grill is terrible. It’s dry. The problem you think people don’t have time to complain. Travelled today and thought I could have a non carb meal. The dail was nice flavour. But the meat id dry. Samosa were oily

Tough and strange tasting chicken in both the tikka masala and the biriani. £3.50 for a small pot of mint sauce. Really bad value for money. There’s much better to be had.

This is my preferred Indian takeaway in the Chandlers Ford area.

Me and my partner were looking for some substanance, and we noticed this restaurant tucked away up a spiral stair case, we ordered a shaslik and jalfrezi, the food was very fresh, delicious 😋, the best Indian food I've had in years. We're not even from the area but would highly recommend and definitely return.

Food was reasonable but very expensive for what it was delivery times kept changing and then changing and then changing eventually we got it was it worth the weight? Maybe?

We do not go to Indian resturants as a rule,but went with friends on their recommendation. The resturant is on the top floor and if you have a mobility problem is a little akward. There is a longer way round which gives you access. The decor is a little lacking but the choice on the menu was excellent. Our choice of dish was amply rewarded best Tikka i have had. The choices of our friends were also greatly appreciated a good dining venue and a nice waiting staff to make a very pleasent evening.

Went here with the wife for the first time last night. The food was amazing as was the service and ambience. The waiters were very friendly and get top marks. Will be coming back. Highly recommend

Too slow, absolutely mad having just eat drivers waiting over 1 hour for orders! This place is the slowest restaurant in the whole of eastleigh, the man told me more than once will be 10 more mins.... towards the end of the 1 hour and 10mins wait, He said there just packing it up 20 mins later the order came out! There is no excuse for this to take so long and they should all be ashamed that orders are taking this long! There were other people waiting for collection orders that were at Least 30mims over there collection time, if you can't handle the amount of orders don't take the orders its simple!! It's like it here every weekend I will never return here. No one wants to wait over 1 hour

Me and my partner come here a few times a month, everytime it is incredible. Friendly staff, good service and unreal food!!! Would 100% recommend, whether there’s a few of you or a big group.

We were in the area read the reviews and thought give it a try we were not disappointed the food was excellent well presented menu choice was good and food portions was of a good size and quality staff friendly free parking after 6pm would advise that you book as the restaurant was busy and it would appear many revisiting customers

Awful. Beef Massaman was not a real Thai curry at all, more like a Chinese thing with slices of thin beef. The Balti was not a balti just chicken tikka in a tomato sauce. Since when did a balti not come with a naan? Good job I ordered an extra rice or the ‘balti’ would have had nothing with it. No salad, no popadoms no nothing. Two very poor curries with rice for £40? Will not be ordering here again.

Very happy with the food and delivery, however, WE DID NOT GET THE 15% DISCOUNT AS WE SPENT OVER THE £20. WE SHOULD HAVE GOT £3.93 OFF AS WE SPENT £26.19!! So, how do we get a refund???? Half an hour before this order we had made an order totalling £55.14 and we got the 15% off that okay. Unfortunately I didn’t check the order properly and hadn’t realised I had left off the chicken tikka and chicken korma, hence why I had to make a second order!!! First time visit tonight and we were really impressed - friendly welcome, genuine staff, probably too many choices on the menu (we took ages deciding) but ultimately absolutely gorgeous food. Will definitely be back.

The garlic naan was so sweet and tasted disgusting. Tasted like a cake or sweet pastry rather than a naan bread. Totally ruined the taste of the lamb curry

Food was over an hour later than the initial suggested delivery time. Really disappointing taste too. Chicken really dry, green curry really salty and noodles bland. Wish I had not bothered.

Have had 2-3 takeaways from here before. All have been delicious and the best I have ever had. Prompt delivery service, fresh and flavourful food every time. Had the chicken satay, Thai green and massadam curry with coconut rice this time.

We were very nicely greeted, especially when I mentioned it was my Sons birthday. The drinks were brought promptly to the table, Cobra, and a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blank. We started with Papadums and chutneys while we were ordering. I am not a vegetarian, but I fancied a change, so I went with Badaal Jaam, aubergine coriander, and yoghurt, Amchuri Gobhi, cauliflower florets with ginger onions and mango. My favourite Vindi Bhaji Okra with onions, herbs, and spices. I like how they cook it with a dry texture. I am definitely going to have this again and try the Aloo Paratha, bread stuffed with potatoes next time. A nice gesture was the manager who treated my Son, to a birthday dessert! All in all, it was a very nice evening. Thanks,

Awful. Two young kids. No food for 2.5 hours because of no drivers.

Turned up late 15mins was very poor quality with no authenticity and barely warm. The curry was extremely spicy for a Bhuna and practically inedible for our household. Not impressed at all and will not be ordering from here again!

A delicious meal. They seemed fully booked which wasn't surprising as the food was to die for! I had a Thai curry cooked to perfection with fabulous accompaniments! The standard of food was top class. Thoroughly recommended.

We came here by accident on New Year's Eve having booked somewhere else in the area which turned out to be totally unsuitable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and, despite being really busy as the evening wore on with tables filling up and takeaways being ordered, the staff coped calmly and we never felt rushed. We had a selection of dishes between four of us and I am gluten and dairy intolerant which was catered for in the tnai section of the menu. The food was delicious, the service was great and I would not hesitate to return. Thoroughly recommend Masala Lounge.

This is an excellent restaurant for both Indian and Thai food due to having chefs that specialise in Indian and Thai cooking. The food is of great quality and served by efficient and friendly staff, especially ‘Si’ who appears to be the senior waiter Highly recommend

Perfect. Having spent most of the last 30 years in Yorkshire & Manchester where there's no shortage of decent curry, and tending to find nothing comes close "down here", this was a revelation. The Lamb Banjara was full of flavour, properly hot, not too oily, generous amount of lamb which was all perfectly tender, and not at all fatty. It'd have been nice to have 2 chappatis at the price, but that feels a little picky of me perhaps. I won't hesitate to order again if I find myself craving something interesting to eat while visiting here. 10/10. Thanks!

Two curries ordered, the Thai yellow chicken was a bit tough and overcooked but the sauce was lovely. The pawn malai curry was really good.

Fusion of Indian and Thai food. Ideal if you entertain someone who doesn't want spicy food.

The fried spring chicken was cold, a bit dry, and tasteless. The massamam curry sauce was nice but the chicken a bit rubbery. Not as good as we've had from Masala Lounge before unfortunately.

After a long wait we called the restaurant. Our food had been ready with them for over an hour. They were waiting for the just eat delivery person to arrive. The message in the app said the driver was at the restaurant, it said that for a while. This was clearly wrong. I suspect the restaurant delivered it themselves in the end. I would like a refund from Just Eat.

There was a couple of chewy bits of chicken and was quite peppery. Would order the chicken tikka masala again

I've dined at this place for years, both for sit down evenings in the restaurant and takeaways. Last night's takeaway sadly means I will not return. Given the time for pickup, we arrived and waited 40 minutes past the time that they said it would be ready. As way of an apology they gave us a free gift... two used, broken, chipped and dirty cobra pint glasses (I kid you not).... still we had the food and it always tastes good here...... Nope, tonight it was terrible. The shashlik chicken was dry and burnt and the lamb would have bounced if you dropped it. Such a shame, but the whole experience put me off

Excellent food, wide variety, good service and pleasant location. Our family evening at the Masala was, as ever, a good experience. The freshly cooked food was good and up to expectations. Two nights later we returned with a smaller group to dine and we’re not disappointed. Consistently good standard all round. Will visit again.

Delicious! Not much range on the menu compared to in the restaurant but the set meals are a good portion for two. Looking forward to ordering again soon!

Food was not hot, not even warm. The meat in the entrees was precooked, not fresh. Massaman curry was weirdly sweet with no heart. Terrible effort.

Not bad. Serves when u r unable to cook or need a good place to meet and eat. But still unable to find a good Indian restaurant in this part.

Large choice of Indian and Thai food, had spring rolls and Thai curry both of which were very nice, my pal had poppadums and a paneer passanda which she throughly enjoyed and it was reasonably priced too. The staff are also very amenable too.

Family night out with good food. A busy Friday evening so some delay expected. But we’ll worth the wait. Adults and kids catered for, excellent quality meals.

First time buying from this restaurant but definitely not the last, the Thai green curry was flawless and by far the best I've had in a long time, service was on par with the food, very friendly and welcoming staff

Used to visit a couple of times a year but this was the first visit in 4/5 years. Fortunately it had not changed at all and was still very good. Between us we had 3 starters and 3 mains plus rice and naan and all the food was great apart from one starter, the vegetable tempura, which was not good. It was a Monday night and they were not very busy but service was very polite and helpful. Proper size bottles of Magners too. Prices perhaps a little on the high side but portion sizes were decent. Would happily return.

Being the nightmare veggie that I am it's great a restaurant such as this is happy to cater to my requirements. Chicken tikka masala becomes Veggie tikka masala. Thanks will comd again

Took my family to celebrate my 11 year old daughters birthday. Service was fantastic and food was very very good. Waiter even gave a little birthday gift to my daughter in the form of something very cold! This is the second visit to this curry house and both have been very good!
