Dirty tables, burnt food, overpriced. If you’re going to charge top dollar than you should be a premium serving in clean conditions

The bacon we just bought from M&S in Crewe store is terrible...tasteless, bland, complete rubbish, obviously sourced from much cheaper supplier

After shopping, we decided to go for a coffee. A decent enough cup of coffee but when asked for a saucer was told we no longer give saucers. Did feel the smallish coffee did need a saucer. It’s different if you are having a drink in a mug. Didn’t feel it was the most friendliest of service either.

Visited today and whilst shopping decided to have coffee. My wife presented me my drink and I was about to fetch saucers and was told you no longer have saucers with your drink. For such a reputable store this is diabolical. You even get a saucer in a transport cafe. I also witnessed that when ordering food no table marker is given consequently the waitress is touring the cafe, food in hand looking for her customer. Together with increased charges for food ( 2 thin slices bread with coronation chicken pre made sandwich spread. @ £5.25) the only recipe I can see is disaster.

Visited the cafe today after shopping in the store. We divided on a toasted sandwich and scone to share. The lady working behind the counter was on her own. She was clearly struggling. She didn’t seem very organised. The counter appeared a little untidy. She was taking time to serve the cafe customers. This created a queue. Once we were served we moved across to the seating area. However we struggled to find a table that wasn’t full of dirty cups and plates. We had to sit at a table for six although there were only two of us. Not our choice. I counted 15 dirty tables. Only 5 of her tables were occupied. My milk jug and teapot were dirty and I had to return to the counter to swop for clean. After another ten minutes or so a young man appeared to start clearing the tables. Well so we thought. He simply moved some of the dirty cups and plates to one table. Then another man appeared from the kitchen with several bags of rubbish and left them near the kitchen entrance. When we’d finished our lunch we had no option but to leave our dirty dishes on the table as the rack for returning trays was full. We have dined at several of your restaurants and this is the first time we’ve encountered such appalling poor service. On walking out of the store we also noticed the store was very disheveled and untidy. Very unlike the M&S we love. Stock levels were low. I left after searching for several items, underwear, shoes and clothes empty handed. Very disappointed ☹️

Called in for a quick coffee on a very rare visit to the grand junction. Had a coffee and a cooler drink for my daughter . The cooler was awful , looked like hot water had been poured on some chocolate and stirred . My daughter having previously worked as a head barista, wasn’t impressed and advised it was totally inedible, hence to say it was returned . The teacake was done well before the coffee was made so was cold . What I found most extraordinary, was that the person who handled my teacake did so , without using any gloves . She’s previously been handling something else as I’d been watching her while waiting for my coffee , no hands washed in-between . She then toasted a hot cross bun for another customer , no hands washed again . I asked to speak to the manager and fortunately, he was actually sitting in the cafe . He explained that “M&S policy wasn’t to use gloves when handling food , as this was deemed to be more at risk of cross contamination of food , but the hand washing policy was every 20 minutes “!! I don’t get this personally and I told him so . So let’s see , a person in a 20 minute period , may go to the loo and May or May not wash their hands , wipe spillage up from the floor , carry dirty trays from the tables into the kitchen , pick up wash cloths to wipe tables and in that 20 minute time frame , handle your food with their bare hands !!! No thankyou M&S - completely unacceptable- won’t return ever again .

Good clean restaurant to eat especially if your looking for a break whilst shopping. I found that some items a little pricey, but nice coffee. I had a good breakfast here and enjoyed it very much. Go for it.

We had a nice and tasty sup there few times. The staff are friendly but lazy sometimes. During last visit many tables had cups and plates on them after previous clients. Does the new apprentices don't know what to do? Otherwise it's a nice place to snack on the go. I always like to eat sup as this is much healthier option than sandwich or meat.

Large spacious and clean with friendly staff and great coffee. Good selection of cakes and hot snacks, cold sandwiches and treats. Pastries baked in the store so they are nice and fresh. Noticed food that gluten free too. All food is M&S quality

Nice staff, clean tables, good coffee. My friend and I both had jacket potato with salad, but the potatoes were cold in the middle. We didn't complain as we didn't have time to wait for replacements. The staff there are extremely pleasant.

Nice atmosphere and old pub area. Food, the starters were lovely but I can honestly say that the Sunday roast dinner I had is one of the most tasteless roasts I have ever eaten...not just the meat...everything...none of it tasted of anything. So food dissapponting frankly.

Came in for a quick latte with a bowl of chips, not that busy and the lady behind the counter kept asking what people wanted and took over 30 mins to be served and 20 mins of this was for my chips. SLOW SLOW SLOW

Shocking. An embarrassment to the greggs name. Went in for warm food as working outside in - 5 Jan 2025. Ordered a stake bake and sausages roll. Food was cold, total came to £5, asked the man who was serving if they had any hot food or any fresh made items on my order. I was told to use the microwave in the cafe area of the service. Asked for a refund. The man couldn't do it, needed help from female worker who only refund me £4.30. Honestly never been more disappointed. I 2025 going into a food shop to buy hot food and being told to use a microwave all for greggs to steal 70p off me. Joke. Do not use. Rude robbing staff!!!
