The food and service, when you were served was, as always excellent. However, we waited at least 20 mins to be served. When we did eventually sit down, there were 20 other customers waiting to be served. This must be a management problem and it needs to be addressed

My husband needed some new jeans. We took measurements from a pair of his others and went to the men's department of our Halifax store. We were served by a shop assistant named Steve. He was fantastic - knowledgeable, courteous, sense of humour - the perfect representative of his trade. I would like to congratulate M&S for having this jewel of an employee. He was a joy. Thank you Steve.

I visited the store today on the off chance I could use the bra fitting service as a walk in customer. I was met by a lovely young lady who was trying to find me an appointment when the bra fitter, Chris, became available and squeezed me in between appointments. This was much appreciated and her care and professionalism was wonderful. To have a bra fit correctly is amazing and I would recommend this free service.

Good friendly service. Plenty of stock. I am really glad we have this department store in Halifax. In particular I appreciate calling in for a meal deal and offer quality produce.

Ordered online for free click and collect. Was told only food orders can be collected from their car collect bays and for clothing orders I would have to go In store. Was then charged £2.50 for 5mins to park in customer car park to collect the order. Totally defeated the object of collecting the order.

Without a doubt this M&S cafe benefits from custom, there was precious little open at the Piece Hall when we visited shortly after 10 one weekday morning in January. The cafe here is clean, airy, bright and the service was swift. It was popular and there was a nice buzz about the place.

The cafe is mediocre and not cheap. The Ladies loos are ok except that all the times I have been in the past four years, only two of the three are “open”!

Nice food as always in this little cafe, lovely cups of tea, great staff. But why do they not get some extra milk jugs. Twice we have been where they have given us cups of milk due to not having enough milk jugs. Consequently the milk goes all over the place when trying to pour into your tea. Having said that it will not put me off returning. Would be 5 star if they had enough milk jugs

Lovely soup and roll. Hubby had golden veg and I had turkey. The rolls were delicious. Very busy, a bit noisy but nice for a short stop.

On a recent visit to the Piece Hall we decided on popping into M & S for a scone and cuppa. Both excellent. The food and drinks in M & S are excellent. I also had a gingerbread man! All enjoyable-thanks.

You may eat in this Marks and Spencer. It is very traditionnal english and not very innovative. The atmosphere is basic like the shop. Not in trend. Or lost the trend...

Great staff and atmosphere sometime service especially food is a bit slow and more staff seem to be concentrating on orders on app than actual people at the bar xx

We were here as a family, twice in one week as we were on holiday. Both times the staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was spot on and the food was very nice - couldn’t fault it. The location is great for chilling, having a few drinks and relaxing with family. We sat outside on the Monday and indoors on Thursday and it was comfortable, clean and friendly. The children enjoyed looking at the locks and seeing the canal boats. Parking was opposite the restaurant. Our food was served hot and it was well presented. There were six of us and we all ordered different dishes so it wasn’t that easy for the kitchen but it all arrived at the same time and was delicious. The staff went the extra mile for our group which we appreciated , once to give our youngest a take-away dessert as we had to leave before he had time to eat it and then later in the week, giving us some bread for the children to bait their new fishing lines. We would definitely return to The Moorings when we’re in the area.

Quick lunch in the afternoon sunshine, outside seating available, dog friendly, we had the crispy bacon, chicken, and mayo toasted sandwich and even not on the menu they made us a tuna and mayo sandwich, we also had fries and tea for 2.Good choices on the menu Staff very helpful, good central location. They have a drinks licence, so you can have a cheeky drink as well.
