Wonderful whitebait followed by a chicken kebab. Delicious but rather large portions! We couldn’t finish it all. Very helpful and friendly staff.

We get our fish supper here every week, won’t go anywhere else. The fish is lovely, thick and tasty, large portions, never too long to wait. Chips are not greasy, perfect every time. Even tried the new chicken kebab which was great value and tasty too. Definitely our favourite Chippy by far. Car park is a bit tight though if it’s busy.

I popped in for a takeaway. Marino’s do an OAP. Consisting of small cod and chips. No skimping on portion either. Quite generous and sufficient.

What can I say, was feeling hungry so I popped in for a bag of chips. What a mistake as I found them to be the most expensive in Sittingbourne. The chips if that is what you call them half were barely cooked and hard the rest were so sorry it was like mash potato. Loads of oil with very small bits of burnt chip and half a bag of batter. Not straining the oil. Worsed chips I have ever had.

Brilliant service fresh food cooked to order and perfection. A good place for a family meal. Would recommended to anyone and the prices are good too plus on site free parking.

Family meal in restaurant including children. We all had freshly cooked meals piping hot and very tasty. The sweets were limited but tasty and enjoyed by all.

Takeaway… very disappointing meal…the cod had thick batter and the cod was thin & dry,guess it was over cooked!!!

Took family there to celebrate my dads 93 birthday. There were 10 of us and the food was freshly cooked and caned out at the same time. The waitress was excellent attentive but not intrusive.

Have moved back to area and just fancied fish and chips. We decided to try Marino's as had not eaten there for years. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service was quick and efficient. Sadly they had no Skate which I really fancied. However I had whitebait which was really good. We then had a plaice and haddock. Both were large portions and cooked to perfection. The chips were also lovely crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Overall food and service was great. We will be back soon

This is a regular haunt for us, at least once a week. Tastiest fish and chips around. Have to wait a while for it to be cooked but at least you know it's fresh. One star lost this time because the two girls serving weren't very polite. Very unusual and hasn't happened before, hadn't seen these two before.....

We called in to Marino’s last Sunday on the 28th of July.

Visited toward the end of service to eat in the restaurant. Had a deal meal (starter and main) but although the food was hot, the fish was well overcooked to the point of being dry. I felt the battered fish had been cooked for a while and had been re-heated - which overcooked it and the batter - not very professional for somewhere that cares about the food they produce. Will try somewhere else next time.

We went to Marinos for a Birthday meal. We will definitely go back . They serve the best fish and chips . We Had a 3 course meal it was all lovely. The waitress Sarah was very good aswell . We had a lovely night Thankyou

Average food, expensive restaurant. Kebabs were nice, but the fish and chips is better and cheaper in the pub next door.

It’s Friday night and I don’t want to cook. Where do we go, fish & chips. So off to Marino we go. We have eaten here before so we know the food is going to be good. We weren’t disappointed. We wanted something different. Wife has scampi and I had the fish platter. The food and service was truly amazing. Well done. We will be back.

They have a dining room as well as take away. My personal preference is take away. It is alongside the Billet so a couple of pints and have fish and chips to go home with.

First time we have visited Marino Fish bar. Lovely and clean, nice decor. Excellent service. Portions are quite large so really didn’t need to order sides. Will remember that for next time. We had a great evening,wonderful atmosphere.

Use this as a regular takeaway. Nice fish and chips however it can take a while before it is ready. Also used the restaurant food was lovely however felt it lacked a bit of atmosphere.

went to this restaurant on Saturday with my husband and daughter, not very impressed. When we went in asked for a table for 3 people, no problem. Sat down ordered drinks and then the starters and main, half way through starters, the restaurant started to empty and in the end we where the only ones left. the waitresses came out with brooms and dustpans and started to sweep up My daughter asked for a sweet, this was about 9.30 to 20 to 10 They said yes but they closed at ten. My daughter was served her sweet and they said we are now going to clean the toilets . Not a very good evening at all

Visited the restaurant for an evening meal and was pleasantly surprised @ the quality of the food. I had a battered plaice which was excellent, light crispy batter and a great piece of fish inside. The chips weren't bad either and neither was it expensive.

This restaurant is amazing always cooked fresh. The staff are polite and always friendly. The rock is excellent. We have been many times and always forget to write a review. They have a special board with lots on offer.

This fish bar offers both Takeaway food as well as very good service its attached restaurant. My wife and I have used it frequently in both capacities. It is what you would expect from a Fish bar. It serves very good quality food from a wide selection of the foods that are available in fish and chip establishments nowadays.The service is very good both at the counter and in the restaurant. We have eaten there at both lunchtime and later for dinner. At the counter you pay before you take the food away. In the restaurant you pay when you have had your meal.

We have been using this chip shop as a take away for years but today we had reason to complain as the food was inedible. The chips were all bitty and were like cardboard. We had battered sausages and the batter was chewy. Our meals tasted as if the food had been standing for a long time. We phoned to complain as we live in a village nearby and had gotten home to eat. The person on the phone (he said he was the manager) was argumentative, rude and unprofessional. He was unapologetic and ended up shouting down the phone. We will never be back. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Exactly what you like to expect from an 'inland' fish and chip shop. Of course a seaside fish restaurant is always better. Nice food, good service, and great value.

Had takeaway meat and chips tonight absolutely disgusting an I found out it is put in the containers then microwaved heated you should steer clear.

Found this plaice by chance heading to our over night stop on the way to France. Superb quality fish and chips, curry sauce just as chip shop curry sauce should be, even had gravy which is a lucky find for a northerner :) the steak and ale pie from the specials board was superb. Will definitely visit again unfortunately will only be once a year on summer holidays

I last reviewed this restaurant several years ago. Since on occasions we have bought takeaway fish and chips but our last formal visit to the restaurant was disappointing. 2 pm and the restaurant was busy predominantly with senior citizens (as I am too) with one server coping alone. Eventually, when we were given the opportunity to order we asked for 2 medium fish and chip deals, each at 12.99 with one portion of mushy peas and a pot of tea. The portion sizes seemed generous, the food as good as ever but they no longer give a complimentary basket of bread and butter, rolls were available but at extra cost. The ice cream portions we had were considerably less generous than previous visits. After being given the bill, it was obvious we had been served large portions and the bill was well in excess of £30. When queried the waitress was defensive saying we had ordered large which we had not. Whilst we will have takeaway meals from them in the future the restaurant will be a no go zone

You can park straight of the main A2 and eat in or take out at this fish restaurant.Service rather slow but worth the wait.

I used Marinos for the very first time on Saturday whilst returning home from work, We had decided that that as it was getting on fairly late we would have Fish and Chips and rather than go to our normal place we would try Marinos as it was nearer to us.

My wife and I love to eat out and Marino's Fish Bar in Sittingbourne cannot be beaten for the quality of their food and the amazing team that run it. We even won their competition once and got a free dinner. Keep it up guys, you are the best. Lots of love. Dan and Anita xx

You cannot bear Marino's for a great fish supper. Being open on a Sunday is a bonus. Beware Friday evenings, they are so popular, the queutis a long one!

This is one of the best chip shops in Sittingbourne if not the best .food is always cooked to order so you have a little wait but well worth it .there curry sauce is to die for ..the real chip shop sauce. Highly recommended place.

Over 20 of us catered for extremely well, bearing in mind that we are all on a gluten free diet and need extra care with not only the food which we have but also how it is prepared. Well done to all the staff.

Excellent food however rung ahead as I know they get busy when on the phone they asked when I wanted to collect I said 10 minutes and asked if it would be ready they said yes definitely..... no it was not arrived after ten minutes and stood waiting for another 35 minutes so all in all 45 mins. Ridiculous....

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Fish tasted like it was frozen not fresh fish and the chips were luke warm. Will never go there. £7.80 totally wasted. Very poor food. Staff were good but food was rubbish.

As a Coeliac of some 20 years one of the things I have missed most is good old fish and chips.

Descent portion of chips cooked well. Cod batter nice. Should be cheaper though. A tad bit expensive. But good food

We have been driving pass this place for years and we are going there. Well we did and the food was fantastic. The place was clean and tidy. The service and menu were excellent good value. We will be coming back.

Had a takeaway from Marino’s on May 6th 2018 consisting of a jumbo sausage, medium cod and large chips. Came home to find the fish and chips were overdone win the batter on the cod being over two inches thick in places. I like batter but this did not seem fres h. It wasn’t crispy and clung together and was clumpy leaving the fish inside dry and tasteless. Chips were chewy and a brown colour (overdone) and the sausage was cold in the middle. (Was not cooked fresh as advertised as it was simply pulled from the heated cabinet which obviously doesn’t work very well on sausages!) Called them to complain and was told by the manager (who didn’t want to give his name) that basically I wasn’t telling the truth as he’d been cooking food all night and it was fine. Was not impressed with his attitude and informed him that I wouldn’t be going there again and would be recommending friends and family go elsewhere too and he promptly hung up. Food was overpriced too as there are a number of fish and chip shops in the Sittingbourne area that offer better quality food for a better price.

We pop in to the sit down restaurant now and then and it's usually average at best but thought that during our recent visit it way way above average, I gave it top marks for the lovely jumbo haddock, fresh non greasy chips, and great service. My wife had the fish cakes special and said it was top quality. Everything was hot and fresh, the batter was nicely done and a bit more crispy just like I requested. I did ask for the chips crispy as well but they forgot so 9 out of 10.

Booked as we hadn't had fish and chips for a while and having driven past the place in the past thought we'd give it a try. Reviews seemed good. The menu was sufficient to cater for all tastes. Surprisingly the grilled chicken was delightful. The fish portion was huge but so fresh. At 5pm on a Saturday it was a good time to arrive as parking was good, service great and ideal for a young family. Would recommend this restaurant for good quality food at a very reasonable price.

Really nice fish and chips take away always busy only problem not enough parking as customers always waiting for fresh fish to be cooked not a problem if you have time to wait last couple of visits have had to wait over 20 minutes then had to wait as they ran out of chips to go with my fish

Stopped here on our way home for an impromptu lunch. Have eaten here several times & it never disappoints. Food is always piping hot. Menu has something for everyone. We had rock & chips and a veggieburger. All very tasty. Nice side salad. Couldn’t manage a dessert this time.

We had a take away from here on the way home, it was £1.50 dearer than our normal fish bar and the fish was very dry, we are used to fish being cooked fresh, this piece had obviously been kept hot for quite a while and certainly there is nothing to warrant the higher price. We won’t be. Returning.

My Partner and I have regularly eaten in the restaurant and also had numerous takeaways, over the years and been very happy with our food, mostly.

Tried for the first time about a month ago when moved into the area and waited 15 mins for our takeaway, which I feel is pretty ordinary (3xcod and chips... Nowt special). Phoned order through this time so I didn't have to wait... But still had to wait another 15 minutes once I was in the shop! 35 minutes between order being placed and receiving it is insane!

Have tried the take away from here so thought we would eat in the restaurant. as was aware they did a gluten free batter and I was not disappointed. Waitress could not be more accommodating and was very friendly Food was excellent glad only went for med haddock, def worth doing the meal deal as well as the black forest desert was lovely too.
