Over priced food for small portions and barely warm… dont fall into the trap! We ordered and were given our food 5 seconds later…. Was sat under warmers all day! 😳

People must have very low expectations to give this horrible place anymore than one star. Eye watering prices for food and drink. Frozen chips with your meal very surly and unpleasant staff more interested in their phones than customers. £7.50 for a pint of lager really that is more expensive than Leicester Square. And the nasty signs everywhere telling you to piss off once you have fished your grub. If you are on a budget or have any standards I would give this dive a very very wide berth.

Absolutely fantastic service, lovely people and the food is out of this world, had to keep buying more and the seating area is lovely and child & dog friendly. 5 ⭐️

Staff weren’t really interested in serving people. Just seemed like an inconvenience to them eating and texting their friends. When I went up to the hatch to order, they had dumped a load of cleaning equipment on the serving hatch, and had a Bluetooth speaker, loudly playing very questionable music. After shouting my order over the racket, when we were summoned back to get our food, it’s was lukewarm, which was fine for the kids who don’t like it too hot, but rubbish for the me and the wife. We then went round to the ice cream hatch where a girl was sat with a face like a bulldog chewing a thistle. As others have said, wish I had read the reviews first. It was very expensive for reheated food and £7 for a pint! Suggest the owners are more interested in fleecing the public than actually running a decent establishment as there didn’t appear to be a grown up in place. If they were there, they certainly weren’t making themselves seem. Glad I won’t be going back an time soon.

Just what we needed after a long walk on the beach. Good hot drinks, best bacon bap I have had in a long time. Cheerful and helpful service by a lovely Spanish guy. Worth giving it a try, despite the bad reviews on here. Would certainly go again. Thank you.

Greedy overpriced!!!! £10.50 for soggy small piece of cod and some hard undercooked chips rude staff took advantage of a sunny day and up their prices please save money and do not eat here whatsoever there is a nice a fish and chip shop one minute outside the car park

We had fish and chips here sat in beach huts on decking area they are lovely and cosy staff was great the food was 5 star fish and chips and a lovely view of camber beach 🏖

We are at different restaurant nearby on a Sunday as we didn’t spot this one as we parked on the first car park. However this one was super busy on Sunday so we took a chance to see if it was open on Monday this week and it was yes it’s still outdoor eating but they have created little beach huts that look out to the sea and it’s straight on to the beach also so kids could still have fun whilst waiting for food. The fish was lovely and fresh you could tell a difference the chips were cooked to perfection and chicken nuggets Devine. After a few problems with card machine working it was a lovely family lunch. We were bless with warm sun a gorgeous views can’t wait to come again. The owners has put a lot of effort into offering different teas and wide selection of cold drinks Non and alcoholic drinks. Horrible staff! Dirty and grotty! One plastic teaspoon for everyone to use to stir their drinks, sugar all over the counter and salt and confer all over the tables. Cleaning needs to be brushed up on but the rudeness from all staff. No smiles on any faces! The over priced ‘food’ which all tastes reheated, the fish is greasy, the sausages tasteless the chips lukewarm and all costing over £20! I’d save yourself some money and go elsewhere. Shame as prime location on a beautiful beach! You’d think the staff would like their job. But they clearly don’t and are in the wrong business with their rude attitudes. Wish I’d read the reviews first as clearly I’m not the first and won’t be the last I’m sure to write a review like this.

We bought a used second hand umbrella for small baby that lasted a whole of 5 mins and it broke. Staff and management very rude and refused to refund the used stained and broken umbrella they sold us for £15. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all complete rip off can’t believe this. Avoid at all costs. Lovely Beach shame about this local business.

Shocking experience here. The most miserable staff. Ordered coffee, the lady walked past the proper coffee machine to a vending machine and gave me watery brown liquid. No discount for a keep cup. £2.65!! Same with a hot chocolate. We asked for hot water to top up a flask. This was greeted by a grimace and we were charged £1 for some hot water. It’s hard to believe in today’s world you can get a cafe experience like this !!

I have never done a review before but felt so strongly over being ripped off at this place that I had too. You will pay over the top price for the cheapest poor quality food ever

My partner and myself visited this cafe after a lovely walk on the beach with our dog. I found the staff to be very rude and obnoxious. We didn’t have to wait long for a shout out for our number from a rude woman. I asked for cutlery and ketchup and a basket was waved in front of my face, I asked again for cutlery and again the basket was waved in my face with no words! The cutlery was underneath the paper napkins which I had to dig around for. The lady came over to me again and shoved the basket towards me and said “it’s all yours to take” very abruptly. I picked the food and basket up and sat down to eat. My partner said his sausage, chips and beans tasted like reheated crap and the worst tasting sausages he had ever tasted, he also had a bottle of water. I had a toasted sandwich which wasn’t too bad but DON’T have the coffee as it tasted like dish water. And this terrible experience cost us £19!!!!! Please find somewhere better to eat. I wish I had read the reviews before eating here and saved myself the money.

Obnoxious, miserable, rude staff. Didn’t get our custom on the basis of their abysmal attitude. Save yourself the bad experience and head to Kit Kat cafe next door/up the beach.

Me and my partner and two year older daughter popped in and asked for boiling water to warm up milk for our daughter who was shivering from the sea and cold wind. The older woman said £1 and £5 minimum on card and we only had 50p change. The man came in and aggressively told us nothing is free in this world, and compared paying the £1 for boiling water to warm a child’s milk to him buying a £13 pint in London. Please do not give this cafe or the people your business. Horrible customer service, worse food and completely overpriced. Bring your own stuff or go elsewhere, this place should go out of business.

Usual on the beach cafe basic but clean and tidy, Food freshly cooked to order. The fish and chips were mouth watering The coffee wasn’t bad either.

I purchased two teas and a few waters - absolutely extortionate prices - there was two and a half dirty wooden sticks left in a dirty tin which the man behind the bar said I had to use to remove my tea bags .. I declined in which he got really rude and told me that’s all he had - that hundreds of people used these sticks yesterday and didn’t complain ?The same sticks?!!! It was so awkward I actually thought he was joking.. but sadly he wasn’t - thankfully there was a lovely lady that was working there too.. who gave me a plastic spoon.. she was fine and kept it moving nicely - if Jeremy Beadle was still alive I expected him to pop out... don’t go here unless you want an argument - this man will change your mood instantly . Over priced and angry staff =recipe for disaster.

Food ok kids had 3 chicken nuggets and chips with was a bit tight we had hot dog and chips but didn't get hardly any chips and quite expensive.

Nearly £35 for 4 cans of Pepsi max and 4 burger/hot dog and chips meals. Then was told to pay for ketchup if we wanted more than 1 sachet each bearing in mind there was none in the buns. It wasn’t even nice total waste of money. Staff have an attitude and the place was run down and tired. Great position on the beach to rip people off.

This is a great cafe at the back of the beach. P!enty of tables and shade. Good selection of food etc

We tried to order some lunch and the lady was so annoyed and rude (for no reason) that we just left before she could print the receipt.

We enjoyed a lovely walk on the beach and took shelter from the wind here to grab some lunch. Food was pricy for very basic chip based meals. One member of staff was particularly vile. She had zero customer service skills and looked like she hated humanity. She even utter the ‘F’ word when we asked for some water. Disgusting from someone who works in any hospitality. She also was incredibly rude to a table who hadn’t heard their food order was ready. Wouldn’t advise going here at any cost. A real shame because the location is stunning.

Like the other reviews say, aviod at all cost. Miserable rude staff, overpriced disgusting food and an overall terrible place. Its only asset is the beautiful beach on which it sits. Take packed lunch or dine elsewhere. You have been warned.

I think we got away lightly compared to other people. But I can see why other people gave it one star. We could easily have had the same experience as them.

The lady who was on duty this morning clearly hates people so really shouldn’t be in hospitality. Her demeanour and attitude was very offputting when we dared order coffee. Lots of huffing and puffing and grunting under her breath. We really wanted breakfast but chose to go else where because we didn’t feel welcome. It was £4.40 for a very poor attempt at a flat white which seemed to be made with UHT and instant. We both poured the coffee away because it was so bad. If I was the owner I would be kicking myself for squandering a great business opportunity in a beautiful location...

We were in Camber for a week and stopped here every morning at the end of our dog walk for a coffee and kit kat! The young man serving (who seemed to be in charge) was lovely and each day when I asked for water for our dog he carried the bowl out himself to the decking where we were sat even though i was happy to carry it. Excellent and unexpected service for a beach cafe.

Second time visit to Camber Sands with grand kids, great beach, sun shining, lovely day. Kids had a picnic so for a quick snack my wife and myself went over to the Marina cafe. The bacon sandwich I had consisted of Two slices of thin white bread and 1 rasher of bacon £4, toasted cheese and tomato sandwich £4.50 totally unrealistic pricing in pretty dire surroundings. Some places in the UK just love to rip you off by the coast, this one of them so keep clear, be warned.

I have travelled across the South east during the last 6 weeks to various Seaside towns and dined at various fish and chip restaurants. This has be the worse restaurant I have visited. The person that took the order looked grubby and the fish tasted awful, I’m now sitting here feeling sickly!! I should have done my research on here, prior to eating or simply gone to McDonalds!!

Avoid this cafe at all costs ...we stopped here to have food and I have to say I have never come across such disrespectful, rude and outright pathetic people in my life. The chips were tasteless and the coffee was bitter Disgusting

This was a nice day in September, and we walked in and the food being eaten by a few others did not impress me. It appeared there was a lady behind the counter and one doing the cooking. In the end we all bought an ice cream rather than the food !

Lovely clean and friendly cafe. A little over priced but hey it's not like you eat here everyday! Portions are huge and fish is lovely and fresh. Also serves ice creams and have a selection of seaside sweets too.

Walking on the beach and needed a drink. Good selection of hot and cold drinks and food, ice creams too (mr whippy ones ). Clean tables. Close to toilets and car park.

If you want Iceland quality foods for Harrods prices....this is the place to visit. Bloody awful!! One kids meal was chicken nuggets and chips....3 nuggets and Iceland style chips for £3.90!!! I complained and was told they could cook one more nugget or give me a pound back lol!!!!!! Will be leaving here feeling like I'd been bent over whilst having my bank card swiped!!!

We went to camber sands to re live and bring back some old memories. It was my mums 79 th birthday and as a family for many years we had always been on holiday to camber sands. I must say I have been back over the years a few times to visit and the experience is truly depressing! This place is completely over priced ( parking ) and this dreadful beach cafe, talk about captive audience and paying for the view ?!! We all wanted fish and chips and this seemed to be the only place open on this Wednesday in July ? Surely this should be the height of the season ?!! The fish and chips and scampi was obviously cheap frozen and we were charged £8.00 each ?! Worse we were charged £5.00 each for a mini bottle of wine I think they were only £5.70 at Wimbledon?!!Generally the place looked dirty and run down loads of rubbish and old cups and plates left outside. Awful place staff not very friendly. Goodness knows what visitors from abroad think about our seaside resorts and amenities The council need to spend some money on this whole area and make it a place people want to visit? It used to be really busy buzzy and fun ?!

Lovely little cafe at camber staff are very freindly helping my little boy choose an ice cream. Good selection of snacks and drinks will visit again.

Stopped in here to get a coffee with my husband and children. It was a chilly afternoon and nobody else was in the cafe. Woman serving was not at all friendly, was abrupt and made it obvious she wasn't interested in engaging with us at all.£2.20 for an unpleasant tasting coffee from a machine is a barefaced cheek but my own fault as I didn't check the price beforehand.I think that because of its perfect location on the beachfront, this cafe's staff are complacent and could do with some updating of their customer service skills.I probably won't return to be honest. There are other cafes nearby which are more interested in offering friendly service.

Terrific cafe with the most fantastic fish and chips and lovely staff, situated between the car park and the beach, good outdoor area overlooking the beach and the sea.

Amazing location with stunning views and an establishment and staff that clearly view their paying customers as an annoying inconvenience only fit for overcharging for their deep fried food and to deliver sloppy service. £8.50 for over fried fish & chips, only allowed 1 "free" sachet of cheap tasting tomato sauce , £2.20 for a coffee from a machine . No toilet facilities and an owner that stomped around outside glaring at everyone and barking at well-behaved children, who were simply looking at their collection of shells & stones to " make sure you clear those off my table when you leave" . which we did as quickly as possible. With true professionals that cared about delivering good quality food and a warm & welcoming service this place could be lovely, such a shame the current team not only couldn't care less, but are so clearly unhappy.

Pretty much what you would expect from a cafe. Fried food menu - quite a good choice of food. Cafe nice and clean and plenty of seating.

Out for a stroll on one of the last days of intermittent sunshine this year and dropped into camber sands. Lovely day, great walk along the sands very relaxing. Felt a bit hungry so popped into the Marina cafe, got chips, sausage for the Dog and a burger. Chips were great, dog liked the sausage and myself and the wife liked the burger. Guy serving nice and polite very knowledgable about the local area. Bit pricey but its a bit of a captive audience unless you want to walk back from the beach along the road and try someplace else.

Such a lovely location, however the dated restaurant and staff in their vests along with crap crap crap food made for a poor evening

Dorer la pilule à l'huile de friture, aussi fraîche soit-elle, n'est pas digne de l'emplacement, en première ligne, mer et plage à perte de vue. Les offices de tourisme devraient avoir le froit de veto gastronomique en Europe entière. Frites surgelées et cabillaud idem, en panure, jetés en pâture au bon peuple : de quoi regretter d'être venu, à pied, en autocar et en autobus.

For a place in such a nice location its such a shame that it is so horrendous. I never right reviews on anything but i felt i could not leave this one without voicing my opinion i have never been in such an awful restaurant in all my life. The staff were rude from the moment we stepped foot in the place. They clearly didnt want anymore customers so should have closed they wanted to go home early and expressed to us to hurry up and were agressive in asking us to move from the table we were sat at so they could clean it we hadn't even started our food yet. The fish tasted bad the chicken fillet burger was a deep fried thin slice of chicken with a thick layer of breadcrumbs and tasted like old fish. We had a hair in our fish, when we took it back they stood and argued about it being our own hair, no sorry and then started to argue with others from our group so we left having not eaten the very over priced disgusting food. Never again.

Couldn't believe the prices at this place! I know businesses on the beach cash in on their location during the summer months but, out of season, I expected reasonable prices. I paid £9.50 for two small slushes and 3 biscuits!

Dropped in for lunch on May Day bank holiday. We both had fish and chips, the most expensive we've ever come across outside of a proper restaurant. We were looking forward to having fish and chips by the sea, but it was a big disappointment. The batter was poor and both the fish and chips were overcooked. Also, the staff were a bit miserable.

Marina is names after the owner.Marina.She is gorgeous and she looks after every customer like they're her best friend.Marina sells a wide range of pastries and products flown in weekly from Italy.The staff all speak Italian and there's normally opera playing in the background.Go there and you'll go back...

This plastic seat 40s grubby dog house of a cafeteria is wholly out of place amongst the sand dunes and beautiful scenery. The cod and chips we got was inedible and smelt putrified. If this place served prison dinners it would be shut down. They do good business on location, but what a sad waste of a location. Heath inspectors please smell the cod and gag!!

Brief visit for mid-morning drinks and snacks with Grandson and family. Lady that served us was very attentive to our request for hot drinks and in particular to make a hot drink suitable for our two year old Grandson.

Visit camber sands every few months just because I know it'll be a nice day out in a idyllic location! Usually we take a picnic but this time we thought we'd try the burger and chips at the marina cafe and it's fair to say we were not disappointed :D the service was quick and all the staff friendly... We only waited 4 mins for our food and it was delicious... Cannot fault this cafe and it really made our day!! :)

The owner of this cafe has just seen fit to tell several dozen people sheltering in his cafe for dear life in a terrifying storm to 'GET OUT'. Several hysterical and very frightened children were among the people sheltering, having run from extreme storm force winds and a sandstorm on the beach with objects flying through the air, yet this choice piece of work behaved like we were a group of overstaying partygoers. We were all disgusted by this man's shameful and very dangerous attitude, aggressively forcing people back out into the storm because it was 'private property and closing time.' A horrible experience. Sad that the other members of staff were genuinely kind to us and helped us shelter. And yes we have eaten here before. It is very overpriced. With dreadful service from this deeply unpleasant individual.

While staying in camber, me and my familey discovered the marina cafe although the food is at a high price we loved every moment of our stay, thanks to the marina cafe, the staff are polite and helpful, my daughter is very fussy with food but she loved it as much as me and my husband and even said "mummy can we come back next term" so if you are passing through camber I highly recommend having your lunch at the marina cafe!!

We visited in Camber Sands beach with my mum last month.We were planning to stay longer in the beach and have our dinner in this cafe later on.The toilets in the beach was closed and my mum was so desperate to use it.This cafe was the only business open that time.I asked the guy in cafe if we could possibly use their toilet?he said they don't have one, sorry! Which I don't really believe because they are "Cafe".I even told him that my mum was not comfortable anymore, hoping that he would change his mind, but nothing changed in his decision, tsk! I can't imagine how my mum sorted out herself, I was so upset! That guy has no heart, no feelings, NOT HUMAN, yes not human!!!I said to my family,,, "We will not eat on their Cafe today, he deserves not to have a 5 customers because of his "ATTITUDE" .We left the beach early and ate somewhere else... We are regularly visiting this lovely beach at least twice yearly or more,,, but we will not eat on that Cafe anymore,,, He is NOT HUMAN :(

Saturday was the first sunny day since the rain & high winds so after a lovely walk along Camber sands decided to have lunch at the Marina Cafe.We were warmly welcomed & thought it would be nice to eat out on the deck area outside.When we made our choices I went to the counter to order our lunch which was fish & chips & a burger & chips plus cup of tea & coke. I must admit I thought that the price was very expensive paid & we awaited our lunches.When they arrived I was shocked I have never seen fish & chips & burger & chips served on side plates for adults.. We were still hopeful that it would taste good.. Alas we were wrong..Very low quality frozen battered fish with a few chips ..& what I can only describe basic meat burger which was not nice at all no onion No little garnish.. just a thin brown warm burger in a white burger bun. Coke & tea were good though..

the rudest man I have ever met. Miserable, rude to customers. After waiting over 45 minutes for food, politely asked when it was coming. Accused me of already receiving it. Cooked it after I assured him I never received order. Made me go to collect meal at counter, threw it down, no apology. Absolutely no need for his behavior. He made a fortune out of my family. Should have a had a big smile on his face!.Will never return.Plus the food isn't all that and VERY expensive.

I organised a works seaside outing here on a windy but sunny afternoon and made sure they would be ready for 35 hungry discerning diners. Fay and the team coped very well with quickly produced meals that we all enjoyed. Delicious chips and no complaints about the fish, burgers, chicken etc. It was reasonable value and its a great location of course with a terrace if you like a wind-blown outdoor feel. Thanks

Just spent 3 nights at Pontins. On our first trip to the beach we found the Marina Café. We ordered the Jumbo hotdog and chips a cheese burger and chips and a child's nugget meal and sausage meal. All food is cooked fresh and is hot when your number is called. Tastes fab. Large portions and chunky chips. We ended up there for lunch on Sunday too. Ordered same kids meals. Kids asked for them so obviously enjoyed it the day before. Also ordered 2 bacon burgers and chips. Meal was just as great as the day before.We were going to have breakfast at Pontins on our last day but queue was horrendous, so we decided to try the breakfast at Marina Café. We arrived and found the breakfast had finished for the day. We said we had gone especially for the breakfast as we saw it on the menu on Saturday. The lady behind the till said hang on she disappeared and came back and asked what we wanted. We ordered 3 cooked breakfasts. It was worth the short wait. Even the kids who shared 1 of the breakfasts (4 and a 5 year old) cleared the plates including the egg which they don't normally eat. The rubbed their tums and said yummy. Yes the inside of the café is not a top of the range restaurant design but its clean, staff are friendly and very helpful, they have plenty of seats and tables with a fabulous sea view.

This could do so well if more done with interior to make more inviting and warrant price of food.Food ok though

If you are in camber and hungry please don't go here. We popped in for breakfast this morning after a walk on the beach and honestly it wAs dreadful. No choice, incredibly expensive and dreadful service. With such an amazing location it could be wonderful but it isn't which is a real shame.

They could do so much more with this cafe. It has spectacular views of the sea and if you're able to sit outside and watch beach life a while the cost of the food could be worth it. However inside is dingy and cold with a basic menu at top prices. One free sauce sachet per meal! Staff are friendly enough but all in all this place is not worth a visit. Take a flask and sit on the beach!

I read a comment on here from delysia saying that everything is fried well they didn't fry my jacket potato, my mums cheese and ham toasted sandwich (that was served with garnish) or my sons sweet chilli chicken with noodles! the one thing that was deep fried was my husbands fish and chips which was superb! There was also several other things we could of chose that wasn't fried. Will absolutely visit again!!!!!

Do not go here ! If you're ever thinking of going to camba sands I highly recommend you bring your own food and drink and entirely avoid the marina cafe. If you want rude and unpleasant staff and very poor quality food then this is the perfect place. The food is disgusting and also very expensive for what it provides. Not only is it bland to say the least but I also got food poisoning after eating here ! £6 for a measly portion of burger and chips is an absolute joke for something that doesn't come anywhere near macdonalds standards. If you don't want a nice day on the beach completely ruined, save yourself the hassle and stay well away !

Poor service & an aweful selection of food. If you like somehting fried served with chips then this is your place. If however you don't want a heart attack on your way back to your deckchair then give it a miss!

Take your own drinks £1.80 for a cup of tea, day light robbery

Friendly staff and it loved the location by the beach.
