We have always ate at our local befeeter but now we have tried this one I will never eat at our local again. The chef is amazing food came out hot looked amazing and tasted the best I have tasted in a long time. This chef must love his job and I hope he is proud of what he achieved. We ordered a 3 course and couldn't manage it. We have to order a 3 course at our local as portions are so small. I still can't get over how amazing my meal was. And the place its self we have never been didn't even know it was there. It was just by chance that rainbow restaurant had no heating so we googled and found this place. We was worried would end up at the one near premiere inn, but this place is so lovely. Cosy, welcoming, we have said we will travel an hour just to go and have lunch again or even book a hotel to spend the evening here as such a nice place. Everything I wanted relaxed. Warm and such friendly staff. Waitress couldn't do enough for us. Wish I had room for desert.

The general manager was an absolute legend! Had some amazing crack around the football and darts was more than happy to afford and accommodate all the requests we made when dining and the food from Jay I believe was his name and the team was incredible! Thank you beefeater Hastings

Service was excellent, the food was great and well cooked and well presented We had a great evening evening. Our waitress KIRSTEN was very attentive and pleasant, Thank you so much Also the prices were very reasonable.

This pub is on of the best eat ins around. Excellent food great service. Maybe a little expensive but value is great. Will return

Always treated so well when we come here for dinner, service is always excellent and food is delicious, my steak was cooked and seasoned just right, Kirsten and Jamie make this place tick, without them it wouldn’t be the same, it may not be 5 star gourmet but when the service and food is good you can’t go wrong.

Here for birthday dinner with my wife, have been many times before but they need to fix the housekeeping. Food and service was great, but it badly needs a deep clean in the restaurant areas! Chairs and carpets were very dirty and that ruined what could have been a good experience for my wifes birthday!

Warm welcome Staff were very efficient, polite and pleasant but a special mention for Shania who was our delegated waitress. Food was as to be expected for a beefeater although I had to chase my onion rings and my coleslaw was warm where my dinner had been left standing on the hot counter. Reasonably priced. Friendly

Lovely meal with exceptional friendly service from Molly !! I think the manager is called Craig and he was extremely helpful. Happy friendly staff !! We were well looked after and any questions changes or queries we had were answered !!! We go here often and it's always been lovely. Highly recommend xx

came for dessert and one starter. was sat quickly by craig and then served by kirsten and jack. drinks came very quick and kirsten made sure our food and dessert were brought out very quick too. food was great as always and service incredible, especially kirsten who checked up on me and my girlfriend multiple times throughout the night. when attempting to hand her a £5 tip for the night of service she refused and was very grateful for my attempt. she deserved well more that just a £5 tip.

Father’s Day, always looked after so well here. I had the roast it was ok I’ve had better out but was still tasty. We love our visits here, Jamie does a wonderful job of managing this restaurant.

The food was excellent, well cooked and delicious. Steak cooked perfectly. Added bonus we were provided with an allergy matrix to check there was nothing we couldn't have in our food. This is the first time ever! The staff Ryan (barman), Kristen (waitress) and Nadia ( restaurant manager) were attentive, polite and just delightful. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Don’t waste your time or money staff spend more time messing about and on their phones than serving customers. Sat at a table for 25 minutes before anyone came over and food took ages to come out. They ask you to do a trip advisor review but give terrible service!

Stop in for breakfast this morning. We all really enjoyed the food, the staff were friendly and helpful and the view from the garden was outstanding

Popped in for lunch as was in Hastings for the day , hadn’t booked but was able to get a table . Service was prompt and staff were friendly Craig and Kirsten were both lovely and chatty . Food came quickly and was perfect , will be returning soon to try breakfast.

Terrible!!!! My partner paid for a meal in a large group her main dish did not arrive and when she advised the manager he told her that it was not on the order list, she showed proof of purchase on her phone but was told it did not prove anything! As someone who works in customer service and given that my partner was in a party of approximately 20 people I think it shows the inexperience of the manager. She was not offered a refund or a meal and ended up leaving paying for food she did not receive. She was treated as if she was trying to steal an extra meal! I would think that the management would be delighted to have the income from such a large group but everyone left with a bad taste in there mouths (excuse the pun)

Me and my family went here today, and I can’t even begin to explain how bad this experience was. There was only 3 of us on a Wednesday afternoon so as you can imagine it wasn’t busy at all. We was seated and given menus that were dirty and sticky.. lovely start. We then ordered our food which was only 2 burgers and a steak……well this took way too long to come to the table. When the food arrived the portions were tiny and everything was half hearted, the steak was so fatty you only got a small portion of it that you could actually eat, and the burgers… well I’ve had better at McDonald’s. We then was finished and waited a long while before the plates were taken, at this point I got myself a dessert menu thinking it might be better than lunch. However I was wrong, the choroz sundae tasted like the icecream had freezer burn and the choroz was very chewy I didn’t eat them. We saw the chef leave the kitchen with dirty clothes and his trousers way too low so I could see his butt crack. He wiped his nose on the way back to the kitchen, not sure if he cleaned his hands after but honestly I don’t want to know. James was our server and he wasn’t very attentive, he barely acknowledged us there. I went to the toilets and they were very dirty, the tap would barely work and the hand dryer the same. Would not reccomend to anyone. And we won’t be coming back. This is a shame as we don’t come out very often.

Where do I start!? No ambience, no soul to this place at all. We arrived at for breakfast having pre booked. 9am and were shown to our table , no one else was there until another couple of tables were taken . We sat and waited and waited. Breakfast is served from 9-11 so when its 9.45 and we still didn't have a drink it gets a bit worrying time wise! Finally an offer of tea or coffee came. The breakfast is advertised as eat all you can and includes the continental, sadly this was just tired looking fruit salad, some basic yoghurts, cereal and fruit juice which they then run out of, despite the place only having 3 tables with people sat at! The website advertised pastries and pancakes for breakfast but when we asked for these we were told this is only for Premier Inn restaurants ...so don't advertise it for the pubs then! Simples. Food orders taken and the breakfast eventually arrived. I asked for marmalade to go on my toast ...sorry we don't have marmalade was the reply. A basic ingredient of an English breakfast! It's not the staffs fault although a smile and warm welcome would have helped a lot! The atmosphere was so quiet , no background music at all. Made us feel uncomfortable for talking. Sadly we won't be ever going back. Despite fabulous views and a prime location the restaurant is sadly lacking in atmosphere and friendly staff - and marmalade!

Come here all the time, staff are great food is even better, reasonably priced as well, would definitely recommend if you are a family looking for somewhere to eat in the area

Terrible experience around the bar area. There was a young couple ( must of been regulars ) bloke with a man bun and blonde lady .The language they were using to the staff was awful in front of me and my family as well as other customers. They had started shouting at a young member of staff who was in all black and the manager on shift didn't do anything. When my husband alerted the manager he said " they are regulars " but this doesn't mean they can stand there being rude to staff!!! Our order was wrong twice and was NOT amended after telling the manager numerous times. We ended up not paying for two meals. The Young couple were also bragging about how much they don't have to pay for food or get a huge discount in front of my family and teenagers. My husband then asked the young boy behind the bar if we could get the same as we have been coming here for years but he said he would have to check. Won't be coming back! And it is very hard for us considering we have been coming for years.

Fantastic experience for Easter Monday my Son and Step Son had loads of fun doing an egg hunt than seeing the eater bunny. They both received an Easter egg than had a gorgeous perfect unlimited full English breakfast with the option of all you can eat continental on the side. The staff were so friendly and lovely as always. All in all a wonderful start to our Easter Monday 🐣

Food and service were both outstanding. Made even better with a 40% off voucher for being a loyalty customer. Thanks for a wonderful Easter lunch.

I was out with a party of friends for a birthday meal ,I ordered the fillet steak which when I received it I couldn't cut though it even though being medium rare. I asked if it could be changed and they took it away and then was told I would have to wait another further 15 mins for it to be done ,as was upset as all my other party had their food and was eating so by the time I would of got mine everyone would of finished, so in the end told them not to bother absolutely awful and disappointing definitely do not recommend going there

Another fabulous visit, greeted by Jamie and served by his lovely team of Kirsten and Craig. Nothing is too much trouble and food was excellent as always, can’t fault it here.

Not only is this a place that serves excellent food at a very reasonable price, but the customer service there is excellent as well. The manager, Jay, ensures that your visit is a pleasant and highly enjoyable one. As I was dining alone, he made sure I felt very welcome by checking in on me ensuring I was enjoying the meal. He is always pleasant when I walk through the door. Shania was tending the bar, and she, too, made my experience a lovely one. She and Jay polite, kind, attentive, and considerate. I have gone here a number of times, and I have recommended it to my friends.

Come here regularly, as we live locally. Jamie and Kirsten are so welcoming and we had lovely meals, the half chicken (such great value!), and the chicken & rib combo. Both really tasty, with great service. Would highly recommend.

Just had a really good meal at Beefeater White Hart The chef Steven was obviously playing his A game tonight !! We visit often as live local but the steak and Salmon tonight were perfectly cooked ! Be back soon .. ps .. also got 33% off mains with a previous visit voucher !! Win Win 🥇

Used to enjoy coming here as it was cheap and cheerful and was always nice food but lately food has gone downhill, have heard staff more than once joking around with each other swearing etc when one time we’ve had kids with us so it was not appropriate at all! Have also been sitting at the table for at least 40 minutes ( on a quiet day) waiting around to be asked what we would like to drink. It’s a shame was always a lovely place to visit but the staff seem to be acting like it’s a playground at the moment and food has also dipped. Wont be in a rush to return unfortunately.

Would never go to this place again. There was no friendly welcome on arrival. The set menu for the evening was not given to us, we had to go and ask for it. When the food arrived the medium steak was well done and was returned to the kitchen, the replacement was blue and not edible and was also returned. That ended up with one of the party not eating as others had already finished. The peas had been on the plates for ages and were hard and dry and some of the chips were not cooked properly. Two drinks were ordered at the bar, one arrived the other didn’t and when asked where the other drink was we were informed that the bar was so busy and they didn’t know how long it would be, but the drink was actually just sitting on the bar all along waiting to be delivered to the table. When it came to paying for the bill it was incorrect and took three attempts to sort it out, but even though it was pointed more than once that you could buy two cocktails for £10 we were still overcharged for them. We never did get desserts as our table was never cleared and no one came and asked. Because we complained we were told very gruffly that they were understaffed, but surely that is a management issue and not the customers fault and as it was a birthday dinner our bill was well over £100. One would expect better treatment than being served by people who had a scowl on there faces all the time. Check your bill before you leave. There was one lovely guy serving food he was young fair haired with a beard and at least was polite and smiled.

Food terrible, bar staff more interested in having a good time with each other. Was going have a party here with 100 of my family, thank god I never booked

Great family meal out. The food was absolutely beautiful, came out hot and well presented. The staff were very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend going :)

Just what we were needing, a good lunch in a nice atmosphere. Our waitress Kirsten was particularly helpful regarding my wife’s dietary needs… she had salmon fillet with rice and a vegetable medley. I had a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. Both meals were clearly freshly prepared and really good. The manager gave us a loyalty card, which we have signed up to, AND discount vouchers that run through till the end of May. The White Heart is going to be a regular choice for us.

Stopped off on our way home from the seaside, nice warm and welcoming restaurant, clean and tidy. Service was great. Food and drink came quickly and big portions.

Food was poor, service was not great and they weren't that busy. I thought my coke was refillable and asked twice for my coke to be refilled, and they did so. But at the end I was charged for 3 cokes. They told me that only diet coke is refillable. Fine but they should have told me as I just said coke at the beginning and everytime I asked for a refill I said just that 'a refill' so I wasn't impressed felt a bit conned as I don't care if its diet or normal just wanted a refillable drink. Especially after paying 16 for a crappy chicken burger with the wrong chips. Beefeater in general have gone so down hill. It gets an extra star instead of just 1 as my 2 year old enjoyed her food and it's value for money on her part. But the adult menu price is a bit out of hand for frozen microwave meals.

A lovely family meal out this evening ! All different ages all made changes to meals brother disabled has allergies my dad deaf as a post but hilarious we had vouchers and a time limit for the bus. Served by an amazing lady called Kirsten nothing too much trouble everything arrived correct she was attentive kind friendly went above and beyond an absolute credit to have as a staff member rarely in hospitality anymore do you get such great service ! Thankyou so much for a great evening only thing I would say 3 of us had the steak sampler only my sirloin cut was very grissely and chewy but its the cut luck of the draw i guess cooked perfect not the chefs fault. Food was really good

Visited on 20/1/24, no waiting shown straight to our table, drinks arrived promptly and food order taken. Very pleasant surroundings with quiet background music. Food arrived after a short wait, piping hot and cooked really well, our waitress...Shania ...was very friendly, efficient and attentive. On leaving we had a brief conversation with the manager ( sorry, didn't get his name) to praise the service. Will definitely return.

Not normally a lover of “chain” restaurants, but this place is well above the norm. Physically it’s much the same as other beefeaters but service wise it’s excellent. Been there a few times now and never had an issue. In fact quite the opposite! All the staff are so accommodating and helpful. There are two people who stand out within the team. One is the manager (sorry I didn’t catch his name)and the other is a waitress called Kirsten who goes above and beyond. Service like this will ensure we return whenever we are in town. Regards Tom B

We eat here a lot when visiting family. The staff always remember us and we are greeted with a ready smile. The whole team are happy to accommodate any requests. Kirsten in particular, is always willing to go the extra mile with a ready smile and she has such an engaging personality, she really is a credit to the team. We are already booked in for our next visit !!

We have just had the loveliest evening, service and food amazing as usual. We are always so well looked after by Jamie and Craig. My steak was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection. We couldn’t fault our evening.

Everything was perfect from the drink, food & service, restaurant was full but nothing was ever too much trouble. The team was a credit to the manager.

Our dinner was bought out we had the Christmas menu the roast potatoes were black. The manager was very rude. Then they tried to over charge us. Do not recommend getting the extra pigs in blankets or extra roasties bad value for money.

Total rubbish…sorry. Waited 35 mins for drinks order to be taken.!! White wine warm, needed ice cubes. Red wine cold Have they no idea as to how serve wine…..let’s put on radiator said waitress…..lol. Starter for three of us, calamari well over cooked to the point of being burnt, when told to waitress, nothing done nor apology, mushrooms also over crispy cooked. Two mixed grills ordered….steak medium and rare, both very well done…prawn skewer, prawns again well over cooked. Even asking for water took forever. Will not be returning. ,

1 burger, 1 rib eye steak. Steak nice, triple cooked chips amazing but burger cooked to within an inch of its life - dry and dreary - no salad. Please please don't pay £4.99 for the side of garlic prawns - 2 prawns (cold) in a hot microwaved bowl..... Service was OK at best considering it was very quiet but staff pleasant when they remembered you were there. If you order the refillable soft drink expect to ask for a refill at least twice before you get it. We were nearby for the week but didn't return.

Yet another lovely meal at this restaurant....Jamie, The Manager is the perfect meet and greet host.....nothing is too much trouble. Our server/waiter was Jimmy, again so efficient, polite...We have been visiting here for 9 years and have never had a bad thing to say about The White Hart. My wife and I ate at the White Hart Beefeater and enjoyed a fabulous lunchtime meal. The food was excellent, but what set it apart was the service. Our table was served by Kiara, who added the wow factor, by remembering the entire order without once making notes, but also added comment on the options available to us. Polite, friendly and professional, she even helped me out via a shortcut to the disabled parking. A+

Excellent meal out with the family, great for kids and food is always consistently good and tasty. My children love coming here.

Me, my partner and our 3 kids enjoyed a lovely meal, we had kiara as our waitress who was absolutely brilliant, best customer service I’ve ever had. She was so Excellent with the kids and she got them all to finish the meals which is fabulous. I had the stack house burger which I polished off and my partner had a yummy looking steak. We was on our holidays so unfortunately this restaurant is not our closest because if it was I’d be using it all the time. Great customer service kiara, 5 customers very happy so thank you x

To celebrate my birthday we went for a meal at the White Hart Beefeater. I booked online in advance which was great as it was quite busy when we got there. However we were very quickly seated and then our Waitress, Kiara came over and was very welcoming and polite. She is quite a Character but very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, which was excellent! Our food was served promptly and tasted delicious! The ambiance and atmosphere was great and we all had a great time! Thank you for an excellent evening!

We dropped into the restaurant on the offchance early on a Saturday evening and were given a table. The service from Kiara was very attentive and welcoming, even when we made very random selections from the menu.When one of our meals couldn't be finished Nadia very helpfully wrapped up the remainder to take home.All in all a very pleasant visit to a place with a very friendly ambience, including Lauren at the bar.

lovely meal at the white hart. i had the big dawg and husband the smothered chicken. it was delicious and hot and the server was lovely and recommended us to have a creme egg sundae which we didn't regret

visited to celebrate my sons birthday and the service was really good. They wished my son a happy birthday, brought out his cake and sang happy birthday and went out of there way to make him feel special. The food was hot and delicious. Have never had a problem here.

The food was over cooked, dry, tasteless. It did seem reheated. We have eaten here before but today was so bad for all 3 meals. The staff are lovely and I was offered 1 free pudding. I will not be back.

Always a great welcome here and very tasty food. We had starters of golden potato dippers and chicken gougons, followed by sirloin steak and house burger stack. Steak was tender and chips crispy.

No idea what has happened but it has gone down hill big time . Was not overly busy and now I know why .My children took me to the White Hart for Mother’s Day evening meal. Waited ages for drinks, over an hour for food. Service was poor,. I had the Hale -me halloumi Which arrived as a cold greasy mess. Bun was soggy, contents greasy and the chips were bland tasting frozen ones. Dumped on the plate no presentation certainly not worth the almost £14 cost .Couldn’t complain as wait staff didn’t come to us but the waitress knew we were shocked by the state of the food when it arrived after over two hours we just wanted to go home .I won’t be going again , don’t rely on the beef eater name the white hart is awful

Our server acted like he didn’t want to be there . My meal was over cooked in the microwave, chewy & still cooking. Thank goodness I don’t live in the area as I would NOT use again . Could sympathise with the server at the end of our meal because me and my partner didn’t want to be there either!!!!

Food was nice, though not great. Starters were o erdone but the manager apologised and took this from the bill. The staff in this place are what make it. Friendly, happy and can't do enough for you . The building inside is very nice and cosy. I have honestly not encountered such great staff before.Would visit again.

As the title says portions rather small,think Beefeater must employ a member of staff whose only job it is,is to count the chips out? Drinks overpriced as well as the food.i would ignore the glowing reviews as too many on first name terms to be genuine

We had a fantastic evening twice over the weekend. Excellent food and service both times. I would definitely recommend this resturant. Service from Kirsten was excellent.

Went to the White Hart for dinner before going to a wedding in the area.The service was excellent from Kiara, nothing was too much trouble, we were a group old four, two of the ladies prefered jacket potatoes to chunky chips or frys. She checked this with the kitchen. One guest want a salad with extra onions, again she checked this. This went on a few more time she was also in between attending other tables.The meal was excellent I had the ribs and chicken combo, I was very pleased with it.All in all a nice experience, made feel welcome nothing too much trouble and would recommend. Excellent!! What can we say…service amazing, Kiara was the most attentive, friendly, enthusiastic waitress we’ve had in any restaurant for a long long time! Food was absolutely delicious, exactly how we ordered it (some fussy kids) with bits on the side and additions made. Recently visited The White Hart, we found ourselves relaxed, well looked after by Kiara who seemed to know what we wanted as well as making sure we had all we needed, that alone made the visit a treat.This will now be our treat place on those special occasions with another one tonight!

Very uncomfortable place to visit as staff are immediately rude on arrival and very sarcastic.Act and behave as though they own the place and do eaxactly as they please because no one of any authority to be seen. Visited about 2 months ago and all staff were rude then so obviously given free reign to behave this way with no come back from management or company.It is beyond belief that you would employ anyone who has the completely wrong attitude and personality to be in a customer service role.Arrived and was seated waitress immediately very impatient and unwilling to answer any questions.After about 30 seconds she said do you want a dring or not very rudely with some sarcasm thrown in for good measure.When I told her my tea was awful she just ignored me did not offer me an alternative and gave me the bill with the charge for the tea.When I told her on leaving that I was not prepared to pay for the tea she threatened me and said it won't happen again.She was incinuating that I had tried to get a pot of tea for nothing and informing that I did not have the right to ever complan about anything again or else.I left the restaurant sharp before it all took of as my tempar was steadily rising.Will phone restaurant and try to speak to a manager if one exists.If I get no joy will try to contact Whitbread directly which I believe is virtually impossible.My advice do not let yourself get bullied by restaurant staff and sort out any issues while there.To sum up appaling company with complete contempt for their customers.If you dare complain you are intimidated and threatened by staff who gang up on you.If I get treated like a piece of poo by Whitbread again in this restaurant It will be at their own peril not mine.Two can play their game.

Prebooked table and were excellently taken care of by Kiara who we could not fault. Nothing was too much trouble Kiara gave the children special attention and even though the kitchen got a bit behind due to staff illness and a busy Sunday lunchtimeKiara made sure we were kept up to date and content. Kiara was brilliant and made sure the occasion was special.

We recently went to the White Hart for meal, Jason our server was very charming, he recommended some meals and was very attentive. The steak was really succulent and tasty and the fired up fries are yummy . Well worth a visit.

Always run out of stock, they don't have many things in the menu.The food was just ok, not worth the money. I ordered steak, the most expensive one, came out small, dry and not tasty. It was better last years!

Quiet Thursday evening but customer service was just right, Kiara was excellent,. Despite sign on door saying that there maybe problems with some items on menu only 1 or 2 weren’t available

Me and my friends went for a get together which we don’t do often, we had a lovely meal the food was great the service was quick. The ratio of staff to tables was great. Everything was up to standard. We had a table next to us causing a disruption to the restaurant from start to finish the staff dealt with it very efficiently and the manager was very patient and gave a large discount off the food as they insisted they weren’t paying. We will definitely be coming again.

Once again we had Amazing service by the best waitress you have,Nothing was a problem for her, she is always so polite and friendly, kiara is amazing with our selfs and our children, if you are lucky to have her serve you then your experience will be even better.The food is delicious and always presented nicely, looking forward to going back.

Food was OK, good choices but was over cooked. Kiara serving though was absolutely brilliant 10/10 for the service, one of the best waitresses in a very long time

I went to the restaurant for lunch and the food was good and the service was fantastic. The staff member Kiara could not have been better, she met my needs before I even had a chance to ask.

The food was OK but when the bill arrived it was not priced as advertised and our server did not seem to either understand our grievance or be able to explain why we were mistaken. We should have been billed for 4 x 2 course lunches at £8.99 but instead all items were individually priced, on raising this our server reworked the bill to show 2 x 3 course lunches at £10.95 plus the rest individually itemised - this both confirmed our position and made the situation worse. we paid up to avoid a scene but will not return. To make matters worse, the online contact system on the beefeater website is unresponsive with no answer being received after 3 weeks and 2 follow ups.

We shared a meal here this evening. Jason was our waiter and he was superb from the start. He was attentive to the right degree and eager to check we were happy. Food was good and atmosphere good. Would recommend

We had a lovely dinner last night, service was excellent as was the food, my husband enjoyed the festive burger which looked lovely, my steak was cooked as I wanted and very tender. It wasn’t too busy but had a nice atmosphere. Would recommend a visit here.

The food was amazing and the speed of service was good and they even give you a bit of time between each meal for your food to settle. The whole team is friendly and polite.

Our meal was very nice hot and tasty. Kiara was our server she was extremely polite and very attentive throughout our time there. We used our vouchers which makes the meal real good value for money.

Went for Sunday lunch, the service was good, but took 45 minutes to arrive to our table, it was cold, had to to ask waitress to reheat, Must have chef problems.
