Manor Farm Beefeater Grill in Medway

We had a lovely Lunch from the daytime discount menu £8. Food was serving nice and hot. The staff were very friendly. Definitely will be back.

Looking forward to a nice lunch with our small dog as we always have in this our local pub. We were greeted by a scruffy ginger lady who screeched that the dog wasn’t allowed. I went back up the stairs and waited by the door for my husband to come out of the gents only to be screamed at again that I should get ‘that dog of the premises’! It’s no wonder this place is closing down with the quality of staff! We will never return, even without the dog!

Haven't been here for about 20 years as our last visit was spoilt by some really objectionable chavs sittling near us and the meal wasn't that great. . We had a discount voucher so thought we'd try another visit on Monday evening. We really enjoyed our visit. There was a good menu choice and Mrs KT was impressed by the veggie option she chose., everything was well cooked and piping hot. We had a bottle of Chilean Merliot, it really was nice and not expensive. We were pleasantly surprised at all the prices, One big plus its very well.laid out with plenty of room between the good sized tables. We would certainly go again. One slight niggle , It wasn't at all busy but we did feel the service was a little slow. On the whole though we really enjoyed our evening, thank you and the crumble was seriously moreish...........

Fantastic evening the food was very enjoyable. The service from Joe was outstanding and a credit to your company. I would like to commend your manager this evening for the way she delt with a aggressive customer and the language he was using against herself and her staff.

Lunch was a disaster. Felt embarrassed to take my mother in law there. We ordered their sunday roast. The potatoes did not look like potatoes. Not roasted but microwave re-cooked. Lamb was almost non existent. When speaking to the manager, i was assured that this potatoes weren't microwaved. Which I asked if this is how crispy potatoes looked like when he has roast dinner at his. Manager did not answer that. Anyways, we didn't pay for it, thanks goodness. Please, someone call Gordon Ramsay to sort this place out.

Afternoon lunch, quiet but took a while to be seated. Polite waiter, nice food but smaller portions than other beefeaters (ordering the same meal) cold drinks but then it took so long to get anyone to come over to consider a dessert we decided to pay and go. Lacks the continuous service once more customers arrive.

We were shopping local and fancied a bite to eat, as we have not tried this place before thought would give it a go, after standing around for 5 minutes and not sure if it was actually open, eventually they appeared and seated us, as we only wanted a sandwich choice was limited, staff were very friendly especially the female who came on later, food arrived and was more than expected, loved the way the female knew two sets of elderly customers wanted for their drinks and meals such service is rarely seen these days

Once again we had a wonderful night out at the Manor Farm in Rainham Kent, the staff are of the highest standard, the food is finest quality, atmosphere was superb as it is every time we come here, special mention to Joseph A. totally in control wonderful rappor with the customers, it was a total pleasure as always to dine here as said by us all. WELL DONE JO. WE WILL BE BACK AS ALWAYS.

This little Beefeater was amazing. The breakfast was top-notch. Cooked to order so hot when it was served to me. The lady who served me was amazing, Cleo, she is a credit to this restaurant and ever so friendly. I will definitely be stopping for breakfast here again when I stay next door in the hotel.

My friend had booked Manor Farm for a wake gathering after his Father's funeral. I don't know all the details. Some confusion had occurred about how accessible entering Beefeater was from the parking area. Was there a ramp for people with limited mobility who struggle with the stairs. On arrival there was not. This proved a problem for my friends Mother. They used the ramp access lower down from the other entrance. As this Beefeater is on a slope. The layout shows it being on 3 levels. The pub section is on the lowest with a very tiny part of the restaurant here too. The rest of the seating area and tables for eating are all located upstairs. They set up the wake area on the top level. After asking the Manager if this could be moved down one. She said it was not possible with them being busy. When we arrived not 1 person was on level 2. This meant his grieving Mum in extremely poor health could not get upstairs to the food and be with the majority of her friends and family who were present. Family had to bring down food and show her through a video phone call what the spread was. I'm truly appalled by this Beefeater restaurants behaviour. Was it really that tough to layout again on the lower level and shuffle customers around who were due to arrive later on. Some of the tables and chairs had been removed in the wake area for space so people could stand. These changes/alterations could of been applied during the quiet spell from staff. Swapping it around on floors. But they chose to make no effort, just excuses incredibly awful. During my few hours here. I felt very sad for her. She put on a brave face, people from the gathering, including myself came to sit and chat, taking it in turns with 2 tables where she was for 8 people max. Very cold hearted treatment for a lady grieving her Husband of 51 years. Shame on you staff doing nothing.

Unfortunately the experience here started off on a bad foot and didnt improve throughout our visit. Late afternoon, we arrived on time, having booked, to be told there would be a 20-30 minute wait for our table. No big deal, decided to have a drink in the bar and look through the menu. After approximately 15 minutes a member of staff came and asked if we were booked under name X - we said no. She disappeared and around 10 minutes later another member of staff came out and said that our table was ready, and that they had been looking for / waiting on us (it seems the original staff member was looking for us too but mistook us for another booking). No matter, we were just glad to be seated, although on the way to the table, were told approximately 50% of the items on the new menu were unavailable, due to it being popular. We made the best of that and ordered alternative dishes. Then began the 1 hour wait between courses. When the food did arrive, it couldn't be faulted, it was decent, however the service was, unfortunately, terrible. Side dishes ordered didn't appear with the main meals and had to be asked for 2-3 times before they arrived - to the point where the meal was all but finished by the time they did so. Ditto with drinks orders, on numerous occasions, staff took drink orders and disappeared. 10-15 minutes later we were forced to ask another member of staff to check on the drinks, and they too would disappear / appear to forget, only to bring the drinks after a further few reminders. Though the restaurant was not overly busy, it was very clear that they were short staffed for the numbers expected, and service was lousy as a result. The staff did do their best and were friendly and helpful, however they seemed understandably under stress and the whole operation felt confused, disorganised and just badly run. Besides the service problems, the toilets were nothing short of disgusting. The female toilets had no toilet roll / tissues or sanitary products of any kind, and in the male section, one cubicle, floor, toilet and surrounding area was completely drenched in urine, whilst another had had the toilet seat entirely ripped off and dumped on the floor. While this thuggish behaviour by complete reprobates is of course in no way the fault of the staff - no attempt was made to rectify any of it during the considerable time that we were there. All in all the service was glacially slow, to the point where it took over 3 hours for 3 courses. The staff did their best, however they could not make up for what is a poorly run, clearly under resourced operation. Hopefully things will improve with time, but I would give this place a miss at the moment.

If you're looking for a high end gourmet meal this isn't the place to go, however if you are up for some okay food and excellent service then it is! Cleo is an asset to this restaurant and deserves a raise. I've never met such a wonderful, friendly and helpful host.

Booked 6 weeks in advance for my mothers 90th birthday for 10. Got a phone call 1 hour before we weee due to say they had a problem in the kitchen and had to cancel our booking. I will never book with them again.

What a delightful evening. Lovely staff especially Michelle our server. Was a bit worried ordering the fillet steak as if not cooked properly can ruin the meal. I needn’t have worried. My fillet was cooked to perfection (MR) as was my husbands rump steak on the mixed grill. Apparently I have Grace the chef to thank for this. Thank you Grace. You made our evening. The starters were also exceptional especially the calamari with spicy mayo which I had and my sons choice, the loaded nachos. Altogether a very pleasant evening. Will definitely go again and soon as hadn’t visited since before covid.

Very slow service and poorly organised. We had pre booked and on arrival it was clear we were at the start of dinner service so expected to be sat quickly , how wrong were we . There were loads of staff walking about completely ignoring the building queue of those waiting to be seated. The staff didn’t appear busy as hardly anyone was seated yet no one was bothered about new customers left waiting. After what appeared to be a manager arrived , tables which several staff members could have cleared by that point were cleaned and we were eventually seated. Thankfully we had a lovely waitress whose name I didn’t catch who was efficient and attentive , the food was average and could have been improved but was fine. Overall I’m disappointed at the decline of this once good restaurant and sadly we don’t plan to return.

Booked a table for 6pm 2 people. Waited in the queue to be seated for 10 minutes. First waitress took our drink order. Waited 15 minutes for no drinks to arrive. Second waitress too our drinks and food order. Left after 45 minutes in total without being served a drink or food. Total waste of our time. Saw other around us looking equally exasperated but at least they had food and drink. Really badly managed.

Busy but all good. The resturante was very busy and it to a while to be seated and served. However the staff were briliant and acomidating. The food was flawless and over all an enjoyable Night. Sometimes things go wrong. Clearly a staffing issue on your visit but we'll done manor farm. We left very happy.

The meal was lovely, and the service was excellent. The lady who seated us was so friendly and helpful even though it was extremely busy, she made sure we were looked after. Our waitress Emily was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, even though she was rushed off her feet she still made time to talk to us and make sure we had everything we needed. To top it off, when we mentioned it was our sons birthday the lady at the front and our waitress put candles in his dessert and gifted him a box of chocolates. He was so grateful and it really made his evening! Thank you so much!

We were in the area visiting family. My son and I stayed at Premier Inn & so family came to meet us in the restaurant & we caught up over a meal & drinks. Cleo, the Manager, greeted us with a warm welcome, showed us to our table & introduced us to our waiter, Joe. Both were so attentive to our party’s needs. We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you. My son has a huge appetite! He was raving about his mixed grill with the 8oz Sirloin. It was cooked to perfection. My elderly Dad enjoyed his fillet steak - tender and cooked just to his liking. Drinks were ordered and brought to the table promptly. A great team effort! Thank you! We enjoyed breakfast there too. Will be back for our next family get-together.

This was the worst meal we have ever had . The staff are pleasant enough but the food was under the heat lamp too long . We watched the food being left for excess 15 mins - which dries the food out - the lasagne was one layer - the steak was like leather , the chips awful , the sweetcorn overcooked and wet , the peas were dry . . The burger and fat chips were cooked fresh so one out four meals ok ! We did mention it to the waitress who asked if we wanted a manager but the family had already decided to just go home as the day was spoiled . We will vote with our feet and not return or recommend it .
