Came here for the first time to watch Tottenham Hotspur, I sat at the bar as there was only 2 tellies one was TERRIBLE quality so I had no choice to sit anywhere other than the bar, I had people rudely queuing Infront of me, I kindly asked them to move and the bar man rudely snapped at me, I then asked to order another drink and got rudely told to wait, I then decided that the quality of the staff/landlord was not worthy of my time or money, I walked out and got praised by the other customers because they could see how bad I was treated, I got looked down on and was made to leave because of the way I was treated. Never in my life have I felt violated this bad by “professional” pub owners. I had to cross the road and go into a different pub called the windmill which was a million times more worth my time money and custom. DO NOT GIVE THIS PUB YOUR CUSTOM

Nice pub, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Needs a make over however as looks fairly dated. Outside area Is decent as are the bogs.

I went in this pub after not having been in this area for 35 years (worked Tesco IT in the mid 80's at Delamare Road). I was a little disappointed that it hadn't seemed to have changed at all and was a little dingy and grubby. Quite an unfriendly pub so kept my visit short and went to check the other 2 pubs out (Red Cow by far the best out of the 3 now and has changed a lot since the day - great sports pub, great staff and atmosphere). Won't be going back to The Maltsters.

Been here quite a bit as live local. Always a lovely little place to pop into. Sat outside again on Friday early evening in the sun and had another pint. Myself and hubby have no hesitation going in here! Recommend 😁

We were walking the Lee Valley Country Park from Broxbourne to Waltham Abbey, and took a short side-trip into Cheshunt for lunch. Though there are several places serving food near the walk (and near the station) many do not serve food at lunchtime, and we didn't want a greasy spoon. So we went for the Maltsters. Although I wouldn't rave as some of the reviews have, the food was very acceptable and seemed freshly prepared. The disadvantages are that it's gloomy inside, on a noisy road outside, and the barmaid spent a lot of her time outside vaping.

Went to watch the football here. Nice pub, staff very good and great atmosphere. Only a short distance from the station. Might want to watch what team you support though, was some heated discussions when i was there.

Come here with my Partner and his family for a few drinks and what a lovely pub to be in. The atmosphere was great and everyone was so friendly... even with the football on the atmosphere remained upbeat and no trouble at all. It's definitely a good pub to go in no matter what the occasion may be and the drinks and food is reasonably priced.

Ended up here, unplanned, late on a Friday night. Well priced drinks and lovely staff. They had karaoke on, and we ended up singing and having a laugh with the locals. Would certainly go back.

I enjoyed several pints here over a period of a couple of weeks recently, the food here was not bad - basic pub grub, edible and filling if not quite up to the restaurant standard! They did let my dog in so they are pet friendly (except when serving food) Food was good, the staff were good and the location is not bad - try it out

Peering through the window is perhaps not the best guide but if you're near the Lea Valley Walk or Cheshunt station, such a cursory glance will tell you that the first pub has one handpump, the second none and this one three so in we went. It's a perfectly pleasant if not memorable place for drink before you push on towards London.

Early lunch call and limited menu was even more limited as I was told that "the deep fat fryer was being cleaned"...what at lunchtime !.Quite how that affected the non fried hot plated food was never explained but I was offered a limited selection of "paninis". Tuna mayo roll (as it was described) came with salad and at £3.75 was very filling. The AK bitter (£3.10) was a good pint.If it had been available, very cheap food with nothing on the menu more than seven quid. The two other pubs within a few yards are also in the same boat of price cutting and struggling to get/retain trade. If you walk from the station to the shops in Cheshunt there is a big Wetherspoons which has a massive menu and very much cheaper beer which about sums up the predicament of the Maltsters.

Awful place to get breakfast as they don’t even greet customers who are black but have the nerve to have the upmost respect for others.
