I rate their pasty in the top three I have ever eaten. I do consider myself as a connoisseur of Cornish pasties.

Great steak pasty, not greasy at all or over spiced. A lucky find!

Pasties are brilliant, probably the best out there. Their deserts though, which I would bet are bought in from a supplier, are poor quality however.

This is primarily a takeaway shop that sells pasties. They are delicious! The produce is top quality. I'm a cornish man through and through and these are the best pasties you can buy. Everything in this shop is top quality, from the sausage rolls to the well filled sandwiches and the tasty sweet food that marks this bakery above the rest. The queues that snake its way outside the shop says it all! A tad expensive but you really do get what you pay for. It doesn't get any better.

Fantastic authentic bakery that's been making fantastic products for decades. Superb quality made bread, pastries, cakes and the fantastic and authentic Cornish Pasty of course which comes in various flavours and sizes. Highly recommended.

Some bizarre reviews in here considering these are the best pasties in the business. Rogue fake reviews from a rival bakery? Who knows?! What we do know is that Barnecutts are the best in the game and the excitement of seeing that red and white check bag cannot be beaten. In all seriousness the pasties are exceptional and the service is perfectly adequate. If there was one downside I'd say the sausage rolls (both pastry types) are okay, not excellent.

Popped in 2 days running to pick up proper Cornish pasties £7.50 for x 2 medium traditional pasties Pasties were lovely, well made and moist, proper chunks of meat and vegetable and non the minced up rubbish that you get in some shops. Always looked busy with a small queue of local customers. So if it's good enough for the locals.... Very quick service so didn't have to wait long

Fantastic service had a wake to cater for and had orded all the usual Cornish fare and every element was perfect . Perfectly boxed hot and fresh was really impressed thank you team 😃 inkies

Barnecutts still make the best pasties in Cornwall. We've been in exile for a while but every time we visit Cornwall a Barnecutts pasty shop is the first port of call and their doughnuts are exquisite almost beyond words. The shop in Liskeard is in a beautiful old Street, and the staff are lovely.

The teenage girls made me feel very uncomfortable. As a customer of over 20 years with a weekly bread order prepaid and at least twice a week. The customer service is zero.I shall not be shopping there anytime soon. I think respect for customers is key.Snowflake generation.I taught my children manners. Those two girls have none

Called in today and bought a steak pasty and some carrot cake. Both were delicious, the ladies behind the counter were lovely.

Thank heavens the pasties are good, because the service is awful. Can none of the staff in the Liskeard branch smile? Their attitude towards customers is vile and has been for years (even b4 the pandemic). They only still have customers as (surprisingly) there are no other pasty shops in Liskeard.

Called in on way past after recommended by workmates. Bought a hot med steak and 6 frozen cheese and onion and 6 frozen vegetable and 6 frozen med steak. The hot med steak was lovely but when we saw the rediculously tiny sizes of the frozen pastys (already boxed on purchase) we felt totally ripped off and robbed as frozen pastys absolutely tiny. Rubbish will not buy again. Will use our origiinal supplier

We visited Liskeard by train from Looe, after having a bit of a wander around we found this place an the smells coming from the bakery were amazing, so we decided to eat here. Our 6 yr old couldn't decide what to eat, the staff were really good with her and said she should try a small cornish pasty, she said ok, and we thought there's no way she'll eat it. Anyway pasties bought, as we were leaving the counter staff said to our daughter, make sure you eat it! she gave them a big smile, and we sat on a bench outside nearby. Our Pasties were amazing, plenty of filling and nothing like we'd had before. Our 6 year old ate most of hers and really enjoyed it, which is extremely unusual for our fussy eater! we went back to say thank you, but there was now a queue down the street of customers waiting to be served..a sure sign that this is the place to go! If we're every in this area of cornwall again, I would make a special trip. Thank you

As well as the best large steak pasty that I've had for a long time, I tried their lemon drizzle cake, bit expensive but well worth it try this & you be disappointed, also while waiting for my wife, seen a old lady there eating a pasty outside this shop& said to her that the pasty's are good aren't they, she just grunted, that must of meant yes. And they have just opened a shop in plymouth, that will get baker's worried when people try this one.

Excellent Pasties and Bakery , staff friendly and very polite, a pleasure to go there and so so many things that are tasty . A pleasure to buy things from the shop !

My partner and I popped into Barnecutt's for some snacks whilst we were on a walk. He ordeded a sausage roll and a millionaire shortbread. He demolished his food soon after purchasing it! I bought a vegetarian pasty which was absolutely wonderful! We'll be back!

Great bakery with a good selection of takeaway lunch time meals, and fresh cakes. The pasties are very good, as are the cakes and bread.

These pasties are so wonderful. The right amount of tender meat,beautiful tasty vegetable and perfect pastry. This isn't just this excellent,friendly Liskeard shop either. We have had similar treats at the Malcolm Barnecutt Bodmin and St Austell shops too when down there. We here they are opening a shop here in Plymouth soon. Let's hope so eh. got to stop going to Liskeard, can't help myself from going into barnecutt's & getting a large pasty, not the cheapest but got to be one of the best, & heard the other day that they're going to be opening a shop in Plymouth, not good for my weight hard to resist.

One Saturday lunch time (around noon) I purchased two Large Steak Pasties from the Liskeard bakery.The bottom of the pasties were caramelized, the crust was dry and the filling was a dark, overcooked, greasy mush. Obviously I had been served reheated leftovers from the previous day. I would have returned these pricy, reheated leftovers and demanded a refund had I not lived 14 miles away from the bakery.Don't get ripped off and don't risk your health!

This is my main shop for bread but often treat myself to something else as the cakes etc are just a little bit irresistible. Staff are very friendly and very efficient so even if there is a queue you never have to wait long.

Love there pasties but who doesn't always hot and cooked daily the pies and pizzas are just as good as is the bread

One of the best pasty that iv'e had for a long time, actually got meat in it, stood outside opposite the bakers & nearly every person went into the shop,not cheap but worth it.

After a few disappointing attempts finally found a lovely pasty for a midday snack. And one that contains the right amount of tender meat and tasty filling . So many inferior products about aimed at the tourist so full marks to this baker.

Use the bakery 2 - 3 times a week, mainly for bread but they have a wonderful selection of pasties, pies and cakes. Well staffed so even it it's busiest you get served quickly by very friendly staff. Pasties popular with family in Birmingham so have to take some up when we visit.

With out any doubt the best pasty around S E Cornwall. Lovely filling with a great flavour and just moist enough. Reasonably priced also, can't go wrong.

They do big ones, small ones, weird ones without chucksteak, and have been the same standard for the 30 years I've known it- can't go wrong.

We had been told these guys did a great Cornish Pasty, so we called up and pre-ordered a load of cheese & onion and steak pasties to take away for a chilly post-christmasy lunch whilst staying with family nearby. They were delicious, but apparently the edges have shrunk since they last had them from here, a real shame as we were hoping for a golden and chunky pastry shell, but they were still very delicious.

If you are in Cornwall, these are the only pasties that you should consider buying! Available in all their shops and a few outlets.

Who makes the best pasty in Cornwall? well thats a topic for hot debate. But nearly anyone you speak to will say that Barnecutts are amongst the best, if not the very best. I rate them top.

called in for bread rolls and cakes ended up having lunch in cafe at rear.cafe clean light and airy situated in the old guild hall with a comfortable coffee lounge to the rear of building.Decor kept in period { checkout the stained glass window above counter area ].menu relatively simple but with prices to match,scrambled free range eggs on toast £2.90,my ham eggs and chips plus 2 hot drinks totalled £10.75 not bad for 2 slices of boiled ham the thickness of a piece of rump steak and cooked like mam used to make { yum yum ! }also the roast of the day looked tasty with veg I like { peas and carrots }not half raw veg you get in some of the other fancy eating houses { i.e. vegetables that you need a hammer and chisel to cut up.!! } we shall definitely be adding barnecutt bakery/cafe bodmin to our highly recommended list.

The cafe is at the rear of the patie/bakers shop. Very good lunch time selection of quishes, pies pasties and cakkes. Situated in spacious room, tink was formerly the Council chamber to the old Bodmin Urban District council. Decor has a tired fill, but quick shoppers lunch good ad reasonably priced

Not convenient if you are passing through, because of vehicle access restrictions in Fore Street. They have their version of a pasty and sell some ordinary loaves as well as some basic bakery goods. No sign of sourdough or craft rural breads etc on our visit. Apparently part of a small chain with other branches in eg Bodmin.
