Mac's Cafe in East Staffordshire

Well I'm here to say that I'm the 2nd person to be rejected a big breakfast cuz apparently there scared of getting it wrong and won't change it and told them I've got allergies. When I phoned them up they came across as really rude and unprofessional. A rubbish cafe and won't be going to that place again

Ordered and cancelled to be told not accepting my order because they can't do changes for someone who's got allergies as they're getting things wrong wow what a cafe basically admitting orders are wrong male on the phone came across rather rude awful customer service

Had the full english which was quickly served and ok but not special sausages found to be tastless tomatoes luke warm will try again probably just have a sandwich next time

Had food from here quite a few times and every time it’s so nice. The breakfasts here are very delicious and I would recommend to anyone in the local area

Great start to the day. A good old fashioned gaff. Friendly, cheerful staff and the best mug of tea for miles I wouldn't wonder.

Called into Mac's on Saturday morning for a quick bite. Lovely small breakfast, flavoursome and promptly served. And really friendly staff. Highly recommended.

This unpretentious place is famous. Mac’s Cafe, and previously called Jock’s Cafe, has been a part of Button life for decades. I have visited only twice, 2 decades apart, but this was entirely due to my circumstances (no, not detained at herMajesty’s pleasure!). The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. I had breakfast, on a Sunday. Couldn’t believe my luck that it was open. Food was as advertised and good value. If you visit because of this review I hope you have a pleasant experience.

when we order a big breakfast it said 3 sosages 3 bacon but when it got hear all i had was 1 sosage and half eaten toast i say only 1 star because the staff are dedful

We was directed to this gem by the lady at the travel lodge on the 3rd October as wasn't doing breakfasts, we walked in and got a table for the 5 of us fairly quickly, the cafe is popular and was really busy, the menu we saw didn't mention veggie stuff but when enquired they went above and beyond to make sure the mother in law got a good meal. The breakfasts come out and was served by friendly staff and the size of the meal was big and defently filled us up till we got home to Kent. Good value for money.

OK if you like cold beans cold hash brown cold and hard bacon, the eggs were cooked perfect and the toast was very good proper bread ,i read the reviews before my visit to burton service was good and very nice and polite staff . the cafe was not as busy as i expected ,maybe i will have a better day if i visit it again .Sorry staff i was unable to send my food back i was short on time to replace my food.

My wife and I dropped in while staying at the Travelodge just 5 minutes down the road. We ordered two small breakfasts and a tea and coffee. All were cooked fresh and the breakfast arrived after a short wait. Two half slices of thick toasted bread, bacon, sausage, fried egg, a good helping of beans and tomatoes. This wasn't what I would consider small at all, it was more than satisfying! At £3.40 for this breakfast plate, it's a bargain! Great service too!

I persuaded the two women in my life to have breakfast at Mac’s. Super fast service with very friendly staff ensured the visit was a success! The huge portions of food offered was hot and fresh in a very clean environment. We could have spent more time here but work called for my daughter.

Top cafe never had a problem with anything I've ordered I work nights so ideal for me as open at 6 o'clock

Omg superb bacon and tomato sandwich loads of bacon and lovely bread husband had the best bacon and runny egg son had bacon by it self said it was lovely

Just been and collected my works order of sandwiches and a light brunch box, out of 6 sandwiches only one had sauce and butter and the brunch box had no toast much to my colleagues displeasure, great cafe but disappointing order service, average cafe (at best)

Macs is a perfect example of an English Cafe and, more importantly, how one should be run. English breakfast perfection, and plenty of choice. The only downside is that parking is difficult.

Just visited macs cafe in burton and the service was first class. The breakfast bin lid was best I've tasted.

Visited today for breakfast and never fails to hit the spot. Wife and daughter both had a small breakfast and I had a sausage splash. Left Burton many years ago and when visiting we always find time for breakfast at Mac’s.

Lovely staff & food ! Clean and tidy. Always my first choice for breakfast ( even living 23 miles away ) We wont go elsewhere.. Always short waiting times and fair price!!

Called in Mac's early on a Saturday morning for some take away food. The ladies serving were really friendly and well presented. The food arrived quickly, plus we thought the prices were very reasonable.

Came here for my mums birthday as we wanted a special breakfast. Absolutely lovely meal. Only down side is that they dont take card!

Fills me up good every time, really lovely cooked breakfast. They never get the orders wrong. The staff are the most loveliest people. Smiles all the time, their conversations tend to be comedic between themselves... funny to listen to. Great service with a smile. Love going there, me and the boyfriend always look forward to going.

It's a typical cafe serving breakfast type food. Nothing special but good enough for a breakfast....

Fuimos en 4 bacon splash hoy salchichas mazorcas lugar muy agradable limpio y ordenado la persona que estaba atendiendo era muy bueno estuvo muy contento de recibirnos y tome mi pedido fui en el 10. 20 de la mañana, pero estaba muy lleno, pero bueno mazorcas lo único malo fue que tuve que esperar unos 20 minutos pero inunderstand como estaban muy ocupados en el momento volveré para un desayuno completo en algún tiempo.

We use this cafe regularly and we are never disappointed. Always good value! A small breakfast is a great choice too.

I had the Mac's Special - a large breakfast piled into a roll the size of my plate. It was tremendous!

Overly Greasy. Poor quality meat. Tasteless Tea/Coffee. Poor selection of drinks. Only good thing about it was the fresh orange juice.

Nos pasamos unos días en un festival llamado 'Teoría' y los jardines son estábamos en nuestro camino hacia el norte del Reino Unido. Habíamos estado buscando desesperadamente un café abierto a lo largo del camino, sin suerte. En el último minuto nos encontramos con café del mac. No hay ningún sitio para aparcar! Entonces nos dimos cuenta que tenía un aparcamiento al otro lado de la carretera.

He visitado este café muchas veces y nunca deja de dar un gran desayuno para comenzar el día, la comida es buena una ofrece una gran relación calidad-precio, el personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar y educado.

We go every week for breakfast and can honestly say they serve the best breakfast in town. The almighty breakfast is most definitely not for the faint hearted.

Came here for breakfast staff very friendly and food very good particularly enjoyed the sausages very tasty.

I come with a couple of work colleagues about once a month and the food is always amazing. Can never complain and with top up on tea and coffee. Brilliant. Would really recommend.

Macs cafe on Derby road has been there for many years and aways provided a value for money breakfast I have never been disappointed.The Cafe is in easy walking distance of Burton station and an ideal starting point before a day out by train the breakfast sets you up for the day.

Filled a gap and prices were reasonable. Vrry busy but it was early morning so alot of workers taking their 1st break.

As Tina Turner would say " Simply the best ". First class service. Food excellent hot & and quality ingredients. Cracking cup of Builders brew. Depends which shift I'm on when I come here but it's always quality. Eat in or take away. Car park. If you're in Burton it's well worth a visit for a brilliant start to the day.

Great doorstops the staff r great. Nice and clean and a nice strong cup of coffee. Toilets are clean as well

Been to this cafe on numerous occasions over the years.Best cafe for bacon and sausage sandwiches.If you are in the area make sure you go for breakfast at Mac's.

My local - only 10 minutes or so walk from home. Service is always quick and the food great - nothing seems to be too much trouble, so take the menu as a guide, but you can chop it around within reason. Can get quite busy at weekends for breakfast.It's my once (or twice) a month Sunday morning treat.

Great food & amazing service, top notch brew and a wicked sausage, would 100% attend this place again for food & I need to try their £15 breakfast challenge!

Food is a bit greasy and over coked if you go in late as I did but overall it's OK. The staff are helpful and there is free car parking nearby.

Arriving for breakfast at 0630hrs there were already several diners in the cafe, and I was served promptly. The breakfast was supplied to my exact specification, and was hot and tasty. The staff are very friendly and efficient, and he venue is well decorated, with 2 newspapers available. Mac's cafe has its own car park on the other side of Derby Street, about 30 yards from the building.I can recommend this cafe to anyone looking for traditional British fast food.

Iv been visiting macs for about 2 yrs, when Liggo took over. It's the best cafe in burton by far. Always a fast and friendly service. Food is fresh and hot and you get plenty on your plate. Excellent value.

Passed Mac's cafe a few times and have stopped for breakfast. Service is great and it opens early for those early risers.Food is good, hot and fresh, and the prices very reasonable.

Mac's Cafe offers a choice of typical English breakfast from early morning. Taste and quality of a food is really good, prices are affordable (as you would expect - breakfast between 5 and 7 quid). Unfortunately they close at the time I wake up with a hangover usually, so when I need them most! :)

Unusually, Mac's Cafe opens at 6am, offering a wide range of meals and snacks. I went there for lunch, and had a double egg and chips, which was very tasty and hot. The cafe is ideally suited for anyone staying at the nearby Travel Lodge hotel in the Midlands Grain Warehouse; it is about 5 minutes brisk walk away along Derby Street.Staff were smiling and attentive, and Mac's Cafe, established for many years, is well worth trying if you are in that part of Burton upon Trent.
