Atmosphere is great here, music great too. Only downfall is it was very slow for drinks and food. Must of been over an hour and half for our pudding after asking multiple times.

I came here a few weeks ago and thought that the reviews would be representative of how my trip was, however I was very wrong. To start off the food wasn’t the best, as I am working in the culinary sector myself, I am able to tell when food has been left under a heat lamp, and the foods texture and freshness was not very good which told me that it had been left. Although it did look nice on the inside, there were some issues with cleanliness and I was unimpressed with the attitude from some of the staff. Wetherspoons is probably a better bet if you’re ever in the area & hungry.

Awful! What once was a lively place - is now absolutely dead. Never anyone in there. Seems to also be closed more than open at the moment. I don’t know what’s going on but not going back!

Needed a quiet place to hold a meeting. Annie maison was perfect for this purpose. We had Annie's breakfast which was excellent. Will be holding further meetings here.

Did Bottomless Brunch at Annie Maison on bank holiday. Must admit I had heard great things but didn’t really meet expectations. Firstly, we sat ourselves - no staff greeted us we were just told to head upstairs. We waited 10 minutes for a drinks order. Luckily we just had a bottle of Prosecco so drinks were quick however once we had finished on 2 occasions we had to go up and ask for a top up - not really how bottomless brunch should be. Food was mediocre- chicken burger was 2 chicken goujons in cheap white bread. Desert was extremely dry chocolate cake with whipped cream. The one positive was we made the brunch worth the money by having plenty of Prosecco. Also, there was no atmosphere - music was full and quiet and on the Instagram they had promised a dj but nowhere to be seen. Not sure I would return or recommend.

Great Music, the food isn't bad, I was a bit unhappy with the service for the bottomless. I had to ask for another bottle of Proscecco. Whem we wanted our last bottle we asked but the time had past. Why did we have to ask for more drinks instead of someone asking if we would like more. It was literally EMPTY in the restaurant as far as customers.

Came in last night, poor service from start to finish and food was barely warm. We were barely acknowledged by the staff! Will not be returning :(

Just been to Annie Maison for breakfast. It was absolutely lovely probably the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Breakfast and coffee was hot and fresh and plenty of food on the plate. Staff were lovely and helpful will 100% be visiting again.

Don’t know where to start… from the food, to the drinks, passing through the team and the atmosphere, Annie Maison has become my go to place. It’s got something for all my moods. The perfect place to chill with a cuppa and breakfast or lunch, and the ideal lounge to party on the weekends, or even just have a few drinks with their delicious bottomless brunch! And with the new ownership has come sooo many events! From DJ nights to quiz and bingo evenings, there’s honestly something for everyone. Absolutely IN LOVE with Annie Maison. Oh, and did I mention the food and drinks are to die for?! And my bank account barely notices it to!

Food: I had the Katsu Curry on recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! I would 100% recommend this. Drinks: I had a Mojito, which tasted freshly made and exactly as it should! (no nasty packet mix taste) The atmosphere was lovely, and an overall pleasurable visit. Many thanks to all the team! We will be back!!!!!!

It's rubbish. We only wanted a drink and they didn't listen and assumed we wanted a slap-up meal and set us up upstairs. We said we only want a drink several times. They don't listen

Went for Easter breakfast, the atmosphere was amazing. Staff made me feel very welcomed. Food was amazing; it is clear that time and care was put into the making and cooking of the food. The drinks are also amazing; each drink was enjoyed due to their delicious flavour. Nothing bad about this plan, 10/10 all round. Would recommend.

Had a lovely lunch time meet up with some good friends - we all enjoyed the food drinks and the atmosphere - shall definitely be going again - thanks to the Staff for taking really good care of us

I go to Annie Maison on a regular basis. I always get the same service; friendly and welcoming. I recommend the glazed salmon rice bowl, it’s my favourite dish out of the menu, although all the dishes I’ve tried from there have been delicious! They regularly update/add to the menu making the choice extensive. There is an option for everyone. This includes their options of premium coffees and ranges of syrups. In addition their Prosecco bottomless brunch is not one to miss out on! It’s a real gem of a coffee shop and restaurant in Burton-upon-Trent

100% definitely recommend this place to everyone. The food is to die for, with a range of different fantastic flavourful options to choose from and served with a smile by the lovely team. This has become a regular spot for me and my boyfriend. We love the loaded fries and always get a ranger of the small plates to share. Love, love, love the coffee too!!! It’s always so good!!!

There isn’t many great places in Burton, but this is one of them. Fantastic coffee lounge during the day for business & pleasure and also a great bar at night with music nights held often. A lot of time and energy has been invested in Annie Maison and it deserves the credit it receives. The owner and staff are always making changes and looking to constantly improve the experience. First time in , opening the door was quite small ,like my shed but apparently upstairs is really large ,so was a surprise

Went for food with a friend yesterday, there was hardly anyone in and we decided to sit upstairs. Cocktails are 2 for £14 before 6pm, we had a couple but they use pre-mixed cocktails and are very sugary tasting. And not a huge selection of other drinks to have. (generic beer, couple of ciders, and some wine) We had food, this was lovely and did come quickly but I do feel it was a little over priced for what it is. I'm surprised it wasn't busier but then it lacked a bit of atmosphere, I couldn't put my finger on what was missing. Overall, I will go back as it is one of the nicer looking places to go in Burton and might have more of a vibe in the evenings.

All i can say is woah! The food was amazing, however the service was even better!! i will be back!

Hidden gem! Was only booked in for a few drinks but then we saw the brunch menus. A few drinks turned into brunch followed by cocktails. The food was very tasty & the bottles of Prosecco kept coming during our 90 mins of bottomless. Definitely recommend friendly staff, amazing food & great cocktails.

Wow Bottomless brunch did not disappoint! Food was excellent the teriyaki chicken burger was delicious & the quesadilla was brilliant. We chose to upgrade and have 4 cocktails each instead of Prosecco, spoilt for choice isn’t the word. Presentation and taste it was all there! Can’t wait to visit again

I just want to start by saying how great most of the front of staff were! They seemed very short for the amount of guests they had in the restaurant. Unfortunately this is where the praise stops: let’s start with the fact we booked this table weeks in advance for a birthday brunch- we were squeezed onto a tiny table with a massive loud & boisterous group right next to us(basically on top of us) who wouldn’t stop screaming and throwing around glasses(they weren’t a young group) - all of the tables around them complained. My next points are even worse: A pregnant member of our party was served a mouldy bun, then upon the second time of her receiving her food it was raw. A second member of the party was served freezing cold chicken. A third member of the party was served the completely wrong meal( a meal containing meat when she is a vegetarian). All in all an absolutely awful experience and we really wouldn’t return to this establishment.

We have visited the venue on several occasions in the past and always considered it exceptional. However today was not such a good experience. Ordered food bacon and egg sandwich. The fat had clearly burned in the pan causing the bacon to be covered in black the bread was from a very poor quality white sliced loaf, and my Americana with cream was presented with squirt cream on top! Not the quality or experience I have ever had at this eatery. My daughter and her friend were also there separately for breakfast and left without eating their food refusing to pay. The only good part of our visit was the service we received from Demi our waitress who was excellent. What has happened?

I selected Annie Maison for my daughter's 19th birthday celebration, hoping for a memorable experience since we don't often have quality time together. Unfortunately, our visit was quite disappointing. The food arrived undercooked, with stale and cold burger buns and nearly raw chips. My daughter's burger was excessively greasy, causing it to overflow onto the plate and make a mess. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she attributed it to the vegan cheese, which didn't seem to explain the excessive grease issue. There was no apology or effort to address our concerns. Even the desserts were disappointing, as my daughter's chocolate cake was stale, with only the cheesecake sauce being decent. She had chosen bottomless cocktails but felt like she had hardly received any after ordering 4 French martinis and this girl hardly drinks lol. When I requested another bottle of Prosecco, I was informed that I could only have one glass due to our remaining time, which seemed unfair since we had been seated at 1:00 and weren't served until 1:10. It felt like our allocated time until 2:40 should have been honored. I'm disappointed that our special time together ended on such a negative note, especially because our concerns went unacknowledged by the unresponsive waitstaff.

Great Bottomless Brunch here. Small menu choice for the Brunch but caters for vegetarian/vegan. We were very pleased with our meals, they were delicious. We tried lots of different cocktails and all were made to order and good. Our waitress Chloe was smiley and attentive throughout our visit. We were not rushed at all. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again.

Last year this place was great, I get it. Cost of living, food gone up, drinks gone up and bills gone up but it’s penny pinching to the max. Drinks, they offer an upgrade for cocktails which to be fair is a great price, however, take too long - 15 mins for the first one we waited and all of the table hadn’t arrived. They use way to much syrup and juices with a splash of vanilla vodka or Bacardi. Recipes have changed clearly to tighten the spend and help with profit because the drinks I had a few months back were totally different. Cherry cola tasted more like a raspberry syrup or something not the stuff they had last time and the strawberry martini tasted like the purée. 20 of us on a table and there weren’t many impressed with the cocktails - came in December and February and they were good! The food, tasted nice with the bottomless, the main anyway, small portion. I think that wasn’t too bad all in all. Dessert, shambles - fudge cakes were all different so assume some of us had the vegan one that we didn’t choose. Cheesecakes came out with 10 mins to go of the 90 min bottomless. They were FROZEN. Told we had to go downstairs and people hadn’t finished because of the delay. We did question it because that was out of our control. So instead of speaking with us, they sent the door man up. Shame really as it can be a nice place, but when the main goal is cost cutting to make more profit, the customer service and quality goes out the window.

Wouldn’t go back here. When you’re given a 90 minute slot for bottomless brunch and they can’t serve you quick enough before they kick you off the table. If you can’t serve the table quick enough then extend the time frame. Not just fetch a bouncer up to move us on. Honestly the cocktails are something you would get at a 2 star Spanish restaurant, I had a Cherry cola to start which tasted like a raspberry syrup ( nothing like cherry ) and the rest were no better. No alcohol in them at all just pure sugar. Food was an average. McDonald’s do a better chicken burger 5 doors away. All in all Poor !

Absolutely amazing. I live next door and hesr their music every weekend. I've been living next door for 3 or 4 years and always wanted to go for a night out. Finally my best friend and I boomed the bottomless prosecco and we were greeted warmly, shown to a table and immediately were brought out a huge bottle. We picked from the menu, the food was GORGEOUS and before our time was up, the Waitress bought over our third bottle to keep us going. Utterly wonderful service, great food good vibe and bouncy tracks. I'll be coming again to visit! Your neighbour, Sheri x

Visited on Monday morning with a friend for a couple drinks and honestly couldn’t recommend more! Both girls were so lovely and friendly, our order was taken almost instantly and drinks were over within a few minutes. Coffee tasted great, didn’t get to try the food but the menu looks interesting so will definitely be back! Thanks girls :)

I'm not planning to go there ever again. We were seated upstairs as there were 6 of us. Tables and chairs dirty, sticky floor and I even found hairs on the table! When I asked to get a table cleaned, the waitress cleaned only half... They didn't offer sugar with coffee or ketchup (even though I ordered it) with food. They didn't give us cutlery! Waitress just gave us plates with food and left. It's unbelievable how bad service they have. I've ordered poached eggs, and they gave me them boiled. Such a disappointment. Flatbread, I'm pretty sure, was frozen, and they heat it up in the microwave and sprinkle some spices. It was hard to eat, and spices were overpowering. English breakfast was okay. When you see a place so dirty, with so bad service, it's hard to enjoy it.

We came in after a nice walk with our dogs and were greeted at the door and sat downstairs. The menu is broad with many plates to pick from but from what we chose, they couldnt be better. The food was out in around 10/15 mins and was piping hot. Service by Alisha and Elise was superb, asking if we were okay and if we needed anything else ect… will definitely be going back.

Me and my sister visited for the first time on Saturday for a bottomless brunch. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, the staff were so friendly, especially our waitress Chloe, she was really attentive and friendly, she even managed to swap our table so we could stay and enjoy the dj they had 😁 We will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend to everyone 😁

My daughter worked an unpaid 2 hour trial shift as a potwasher to assess and monitor her suitability for a role at Annie Maison. She has received no response or feedback at all since then. I'm not sure if the 5 other trial shift applicants on that day got a response or whether Annie Maison just use this method as free labour for a day but I would advise caution to prospective employees.

A nice quiet place to have a cup of coffee in a pleasant environment and work online or read😊 (I was there at about 1pm). Delicious, quality coffee. Thoughtful design, I always notice it - I'm an architect. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back for dinner!

Unfortunately this place is not good anymore. Always dirty tables even if there is only few customers, disgusting toilets. Maybe it is safe to go there for a drink but some of the dishes are just not eatable.

Not happy with the delivery of the food. I ordered 2 flatbreads and both were squashed in their relevant boxes with one stuck upside down to the top of the lid. I've never ordered this way before and I don't think I will again.

I was recommended this place; coffee was good and the chocolate flakes on top tasted of chocolate. Also had a bacon sandwich which again was nice, bacon to bread ratio was a little too bread heavy and butter wouldn't have gone a miss.

Visited for the bottomless brunch on saturday as part of my hen party celebrations. Service was very slow. There were 11 of us having the brunch, and by the time the last was served the first was almost finished. No cutlery wasn't bought out until nearly half of the brunch boards were served. The chips we ordered were forgotten and bought out afterwards. We were not offered sauces. The drinks arrived after the first food board, and took so long people started to ask to have their 3rd and 4th cocktails bought out at the same time. Service has to be very attentive when people are limited to a 90 minute brunch. The food was acceptable once it arrived. The gluten free board was impressive as it was nearly identical to the meat and cheese board, only 1 item was not replicated as GF. Pink mojito was lovely too. Overall however it was a disappointing experience.

Originally went for the bottomless brunch, but decided a meat/cheese platter wouldn't hit the spot, and couldnt see it on the menu, so had to ask about it it. Instead, we went for a variety of sharer/starter plates making our own tapas, reasonably priced, average cost of £5 each, would like to have seen a deal on those ie 6 platters for £20, anyway they were well cooked and presented. We then went down the cocktail menu, lovely tasting and priced, good deal before 6pm. Service was good when there was a waiter, but sporadic and waited for a while when we needed service. I didnt realise there was a manned bar at the top of the stairs until I went to the loo! The venue is set in an old bank, well presented but has steep stairs to the 2nd floor. Would i go again? Maybe, but wouldn't be my first choice

The bottomless brunch we had was was lovely and the atmosphere is nice but the cost for what you get is very expensive. The prosseco is obviously bottomless but the platter is small. Unfortunately it was the only place local to get one on a Sunday but will definitely try somewhere with a 2 or 3 course next time.

Food was lovely and served quickly. Cocktails were well presented and tasted great. In the evening on a Saturday there is a live DJ which had everyone singing and dancing. The staff are great, especially Ollie, Amy 1 and Amy 2. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Visited Annie Maison for the first time Yesterday and I have to say it was amazing. Me and friends went for the bottomless brunch and it was woth every penny! Our Waitress Chloe was great, and kept comimg over to check everything was OK for us. All staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming too. Really enjoyed the atmosphere too. Went to Annie Maison today for prosecco brunch. The staff and surroundings were really welcoming. Lovely mixed platter for lunch and a never ending supply of prosecco. Really relaxing atmosphere and we did not feel rushed at all. Felt covid safe. Would highly recommend.

What a delight this smart café is, right in the centre of town. I have now visited this corner café 3 times with a friend. Twice for just coffee and toast (the toast is to die for). Once for a light lunch which is right 'Up there' in the 5 star bracket. Choice of ground floor or 1st floor tables. You will not be disappointed.

We visited Annie Maison today with our wonderful pooch and had a wonderful time. The decor was lovely and comfortable and we were able to sit tucked out the way in the warmth! We received table service after we placed our order and they even brought over a sausage for our pooch to enjoy! She loved having all of the fuss and attention of the staff - they were all lovely! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again! 🐶
