Wow what a lovely little cafe, Our breakfast was delicious 😋 & staff very helpful as we asked for a few things they had to check. We will definitely be going back again to try the lunches & afternoon tea. Good value too...

Held my baby shower here yesterday, staff were very accommodating and nothing seemed too much trouble, even despite me ordering an extra afternoon tea half an hour before the event started. Afternoon was very well priced and absolutely delicious with a good choice of sandwiches and amazing home made cakes! (Too much to eat in one go so we were able to take away what was left). I will 100% be recommending to everyone. Thank you so much for making my day super special and stress free!

First visit and were received with a friendly greeting and smile and shown to our reserved table. Busy popular bistro cafe that serves well presented and delicious food. Has a range of dishes and great sandwiches. Had the bacon and toasted cheese sandwich which was presented with salad and crisps followed by moist chocolate cake. Cakes and scones looked great. Coffee and tea of very good quality. Many thanks for the experience. Not easy to find and is situated in the car park at the Vernon Institute. Visit and u will not be disappointed.

The tea room is small and compact but the food is delicious - Lynda caters for Gluten free customers - I always ring the day before and she makes a fresh gluten free cake - her cakes are always delicious and well worth a visit. I also had a gluten free sandwich hers which was scrumptious - Thank you as so many plac3s do not cater for gluten free customers.

Visited Lynda's tearoom last week, we had a wonderful tea. The scones, sandwiches and cakes all freshly made and quite delicious. Very generous serving, what was left was boxed up for us to take home. The tearoom is such a lovely venue, friendly warm and welcoming serving sumptuous food. Will definitely be retuning. Highly recommend a visit.

The most amazing scones, with individual jam and local cream. We ordered 10 scones for our day out and there was not even a crumb left at the end. We have also eaten in the cafe and never had a bad meal or cake. The staff can not do enough and are so friendly and the food is delicious

Fantastic Afternoon Teas - the scones are out of this world and sausage rolls are phenomenal. All the food is fantastic and Lynda’s cake creations are stunning.

Lovely cafe in the village I've had take away afternoon teas which have been delicious. Always a good selection of cakes on the countertop too. Great place to stop off after a walk exploring the village and local public foot paths. Would definitely recommend!

Lynda’s tearooms is our favourite place in Chester. Every cake and scone is homemade by Lynda and Emma and it’s a wonderful welcoming place. Also her celebration cakes are the best! Took our elderly dad for his birthday today for High Tea: yummy!!

I have used this venue for a number of occasions such as am afternoon tea delivery and an afternoon tea at the tearooms. Both were totally amazing and the cakes are to die for. The staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. They also recently made my son's 18th birthday cake which was incredible. He loved it as did everyone that tasted it. Many people asking where it was from as they also were looking for cakes Thanks very much, will be back very soon.

I have been a regular visitor since the tea room opened, there is always a fantastic selection of freshly baked, delicious cakes on offer, always spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly, a great place to meet friends or go on my own, 5 stars!!

Love this little tearoom, fabulous service and amazing food. I love that Lynda and Emma amend breakfast to meet my Keto and Gluten free needs. Everything is cooked to perfection and at a reasonable price. Cannot recommend this tearoom highly enough.

Reasonably regular visitors to this lovely little tearoom. It's unpretentious and comfortable. Mostly used by locals. Loads of parking. A little bit hidden if you don't know but well worth visiting. The menu is a little limited but usually there are specials too and everything is prepared while you wait. Everything is delicious and Lynda's cakes are just fantastic. This time I had Coronation Chicken sandwiches - totally yummy.

Lovely table settings felt couldn't cope with volume of customers. Offer of plenty of cakes fell flat when tried to order hardly any on offer ended up with Gluten sponge which was nice but not good standard then told closing soon. Feel needs a bit of support with service.

We were a party of 4 and wanted a cream tea. This little hidden gem came up. Upon arrival there was only 1 scone left. This was not a problem, they asked if we were willing to wait 20 minutes and whipped up a batch of scones. Wow going above and beyond! Nothing was to much for this little cosy, quaint tea room. Had been recommended this wriggly tin shed behind the Vernon Institute in Saughall. Large car park although fairly full. Toilets at entrance to institute. Quirky furnishings of up cycled table, chairs and arm chairs. Some cosy around a faux wood burner which gave off a small amount of heat. There were home crocheted blankets if you were chilly. We enjoyed our light lunch served in/on china crockery. Very warm welcome after a walk. Will visit again with walking group.

Lunch after voting cold wet day, cosy welcoming atmosphere in Lynda’s cakes. My mum enjoyed a fresh baked cake and a pot of tea whilst my daughter and I enjoyed lovely freshly made sandwiches, the beef being my favourite. Comes with all the trimmings, salad and crisps. A little chilly but the soft throws added warmth on such a wet windy day.

Muy rústico, que normalmente se reserva para un edificio de carácter, lamentablemente no es eso. Sentí que había retrocedido en el tiempo para volver a ver Home Fires en la televisión. Por recomendación, mi esposa y yo fuimos a esta "cabaña" en la parte trasera del Instituto Vernon y quedamos encantados con el té y los pasteles. Hemos vuelto desde entonces y no nos ha decepcionado. Este es un tipo de lugar muy "inglés", de la mejor manera posible, ubicado en lo que parece una cabaña de ex exploradores, si un par de pilotos de Spitfire aparecieran, ¡no se sorprendería! Té, pasteles, sopa casera y especialidades diarias, una pequeña selección de muy buena comida casera. Bien vale la pena una visita.

El salón de té está detrás del Instituto Vernon y es una joya escondida. Pequeña opción de menú pero todo preparado y servido maravillosamente. Por lo general, hay especiales diarios además del menú. Hoy fue sopa de zanahoria y camote, excelente. Hubs luego comieron sándwiches de jamón, queso y picalilli. Tuve tocino crujiente en brioche con jarabe de arce y es para morirse. Lynda hace pasteles magníficos que nunca parecen ser iguales, pero todos son tan sabrosos y a veces bastante diferentes, hoy, por ejemplo, la frambuesa, el coco y el mango. Los tés de la tarde se ven preciosos. Lynda hace pasteles por encargo siempre que se notifique.El ambiente es excelente y un poco como un centro comunitario, ya que muchos clientes son locales. No es elegante pero tiene corazón. Hay lugares y juguetes para que jueguen los más pequeños y también se admiten perros. El personal es fabuloso, eficiente y amable. En general, siempre es una alegría ir allí.

Had a catch up with a friend who has been travelling the past year and wanted something special. I highly recommend Lynda's cakes and Tearoom, had a beautiful room & tables were we enjoyed a fabulous Afternoon tea, proper dainty sandwiches & scrumptious cakes, not forgetting scones with clotted cream and jam also as much tea as we wanted. When we heard that Lynda’s were offering a full cooked English breakfast on a Saturday we had to try and we weren’t disappointed at all. Fresh, tasty and great value. We thoroughly enjoyed it and so lucky to have the tearoom on our doorstep.

Quién hubiera pensado que Saughall albergaría una gema semejante. Escondido detrás del Instituto Vernon, obviamente se está convirtiendo en el lugar para que las mamás se reúnan. Me & my family went for afternoon tea yesterday and had the best day ever! From start to finish. The sandwich's were so fresh and lots of variety, same with the cakes and scones! Just melted in our mouths! Too much we have to take the rest home. Lovely setting and location, good size car park right outside. The staff were very happy and friendly. Katie looked after us all like queen's for the afternoon!! Thanks again we will be back

Visited here in March 2019 and it has lovely cakes and atmosphere and the staff are helpful, polite and friendly - did not book afternoon tea but it looked scrumptious. Just had tea and cake and my friend had coffee and cake and both were delicious - only a small hut at the back of Vernon hall but homely and inviting - well worth a visit.

Such a lovely well presented tearoom, well worth the short journey to the village of Saughall just outside of Chester. A lovely welcome awaits, complemented by lovely food. The afternoon tea is particularly good value and with an unobtrusive play area for small children and ample parking. Enjoy.

We wanted to take a special friend out for afternoon tea but she has a very restricted medical diet. Lynda catered for all her requirements and she was able to eat everything that was presented to her on her own tiered plates.

A lovely tea room to visit with friends or family and even children as there is a small children's play corner and high chairs available. Service is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for Lynda or her staff. Fresh made sandwiches on lovely soft good quality bread and fresh baked cakes and scones ( you can see and smell them being cooked). Very good selection of drink available.

Absolutely perfect venue for family and friends to gather and chat after my mother in law’s funeral. Afternoon tea for 40 was no mean feat but nothing was too much trouble for Lynda and the food just kept coming. Gorgeous selection of cakes and scrumptious jam and cream scones were a hit. I went for afternoon tea with a group of my friends to Lynda’s cakes and tea rooms,the selection of freshly made, good quality sandwiches , fresh home made dainty cakes and freshly baked scones were absolutely wonderful. The presentation was fabulous and would excel any afternoon tea had locally elsewhere.

Tucked away in a courtyard at the back of the village hall, this lovely cafe has a real community feel to it. Soup made fresh each day, a selection of butties and light snacks and the smell of freshly baked scones and cakes. Friendly staff, always willing to try to accommodate picky eaters, there's also a community library with free books and a sales area for local knitters and crafters to sell their creations. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a warm welcome. Hard to leave without taking an extra slice of cake or two to take home.

Had lunch consisting of a sandwich and a scone with jam/cream. Not nice seeing the sandwich being made from bread taken out of a plastic bag, this is the cheapest supermarket value bread, the cheese was sliced straight from the fridge so it was rock hard, the cheese needs to be grated and a better quality bread which should be thin sliced for dainty sandwiches. This was worse than I can make at home. Too much competition around so won't be going here again.

While on a cycling trip, we stayed locally, but needed a place for breakfast and since the cafe opened at 9am, this was perfect. We were quickly served delicious coffee, tea, poached eggs on toast and tea cakes. On our second visit, I was amazed to find the place very busy so early in the morning - clearly popular with the locals which is a great sign. Great value for money too.

The party was planned for the arrival of my Daughter and Son-in-Law who were travelling over from New Zealand.

On a very wet day I phoned Lynda's when my rambling group were fifteen minutes away to see if they could fit us in. The answer was yes and when fourteen of us arrived the tables were reserved. We were served very quickly with delicious soup, tasty sandwiches and scrumptious afternoon teas. A wonderful end to a very wet walk. Thank you very much Lynda and staff.

Went to Lynda’s tearoom in August and wasn’t disappointed , we ordered a cream tea with a choice of scones and clotted cream and jams . Tasted delicious and served with a traditional china teapot and cups , really pretty. The tearoom is really homely and popular , the cakes , to either eat in or order look and taste amazing . In the morning they serve breakfasts or you can just pop in for coffee... a little hidden gem in Saughall , I couldn’t recommend it more.

We love this place! It's got a really welcoming feel. The coffee is great, made on a state of the art bean-to-cup machine. the menu is small but very tasty food is available. The selection of cakes is great and the cakes are freshly baked and absolutely delicious. The staff are very welcoming as well as efficient with good service. Good value for money. P.S. there's even a dedicated children's play area.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐lynda is the only cake lady we order cakes from and we have had several cakes they are truely amazing fantastic in price and lynda is amazing even within weeks of asking she always manages to squeeze us in i recommend her to anyone fantastic cake lady. i havent made it too her tea room yet but popped in to collect a cake and it looked fab family friendly and the food smelt and look out of this world!!! defo worth a visit!!

I have now visited on several occasions, both with family and solo. I used to attend Saughall Farmers Market when Lynda sold her cakes and pies there, so was already a fan. As soon as I heard about the tea Room opening I was there like a shot. Great place to go. Wonderful sandwhiches, and of course wondrous cakes ! The Afternoon Tea is spectacular, and well worth the money. I have visited alone and with my Sister and Brother in Law.and they were equally impressed. We are now elderly, but this would be a great place for families with children - a sort of mini creche is provided. Will be a regular place for treats from now on.

This is a wonderful team room and a cracking little found. The food is top notch and all home made. The cakes are awesome and the staff are lovely and friendly. The decor is just right for it too.

Excellent coffee and real homemade cakes! We had a lovely afternoon with space for our little one's pushchair and a brilliant little play area for her. This gem of a coffee shop is worth a visit if you want easy parking, warm and polite service, unpretentious prices and simply great coffee and cakes (sandwiches and soup were good too!). Clearly a lot of attention and thought has been given to provide their customers with what they should expefrom an independent coffee shop.

Have been here with another friend and then took my mum, so decided to bring my friend today. This place is lovely, very welcoming. The atmosphere is a happy one, people chatting whilst catching up. The menu is excellent caters for everyone. All locally sourced products and homemade cakes which are delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough, it’s so nice to find a local independent place to eat that’s not part of a chain.

What a gem tucked away behind an ugly exterior is a lovely café. Great for lunch, catching up with friends for coffee and an area of the kids to play what more could you want...oh yes the cakes are delicious as well!!

Lyndas Tea room is a lovely little place, the food is delicious, freshly made sandwiches, cakes and home made soups, variety of all different teas and coffees!
